The end of a legend.

Part one: Baltos death.

A raven flew over jenna. It wasn’t solid in color it had a shadowy look to it. “anui!!!” she said.she saw it was heading twoards baltos boat. “balto!!!” she yelled and started running twoard the boat to tell balto anui was coming, but stopped in her tracks. balto had not been himself lately and..... "balto.....No!!!!!"

"what?"he said. he had heard something. Balto looked feeblely up. He saw a white wolf !!! it was his mother anui!!! She only had come once with a message from alue telling him, she was doing well. “balto”she said softly to softly “you have lived a long and lovely life, but one day it has to end that day is today. now,we must go” “no!!!” coughed balto. He had been feeling weak and sick for a few days. “I cant go!! I have to say goodbye……..” he was interrupted by the feeble sound of paws running up the boat and then jennas voice yelling “balto!!!anui is coming!!shes coming to ta....." she then entered the boat and saw anui standing over a shivering and week balto. “whats wrong with you ? and why do you have to go?” she said laying down next to him.she thought about it and realized that balto had to go, there was no choice. “balto are you ok?” “no……” he managed to say “my time has come and gone….ill miss you jenna……”anui walked close to him and bent down. “time to go”she whispered. “no” replied balto “not yet” “jenna…..”he continued his breath slowing “tell the kids ……..i love them……and……I love you …..jenna never forget……it”.baltos eyes fluttered open as he took his last breath and said ”with great courage.... comes great pow..er.. r..emem...ber...tha" the light in his eyes slowly flickered, then died.

The legend was no more.

Jenna opened her eyes. she didnt understand what he had said it had no meaning or one she didnt know she looked around. Baltos body was still there but the part that made him his soul was not.A breeze sweeped into the boat that seemed to say “well miss you balto” jenna tears rolling down her cheeks, ran to rosys house and scratched on the door. rosy opened it “jenna where have you been?” jenna only whimpered and barked and this told rosy that jenna wanted her to follow. She ran to get her dad and the three of them traveled to baltos old boat “shes only taking us to baltos boat lets turn around rosy” her dad spoke, but jenna barked and ran to the boat and back. rosys dad reached the boat first “what is it girl?” he said. Jenna ran inside to baltos body.they followed her in.rosys dad realized what it was first “oh no”he said softly “oh….poor boy” tears rolled down his cheek  andvby then rosy was sobbing madly “poor old boy……rosy honey its okay……its okay honey…its okay” gathering courage he bent down and picked up baltos body and carried it out of the boat.
