(Midnight and kaleu are my own characters that I made)

Balto was asleep dreaming of a strange black dog howling at the moon its eyes a copper yellow, when he was awakened to the sound of bells and dogs barking. Once again curiosity got the better of him and he had no choice but go look.

When he arrived his eyes were greeted by a jet black dog a lot like the one in his dreams its eyes stared into his then she took off like a shadow in the night.

Balto decided that it was nothing and went back to bed. When he woke up it was morning and all of Nome was awake and at work,
fussing over the new dog sled team that had arrived last night.

Balto got up and went to investigate the new arrivals. When he got to the main road he caught sight of the most beautiful dog he had ever seen. It was jet black, had copper yellow eyes, big paws and a tail like his. It had white tips at the end of its ears and was staring right at him.

Balto ducked around the corner and was greeted by Jenna’s voice "what are you thinking about Balto" "um nothing" replied Balto.
"Good then you can go help Kodi prepare for his race" "ok Jenna".
After checking again for the beautiful black dog Balto turned and started back down the main road to meet Kodi.

Balto was startled by a sweat soft voice behind him he turned around to see the black dog its eyes made Balto day dream, then she spoke again "hi my name is Midnight what is yours"
"I'm Balto" he replied very nervously "then before Balto could ask why she was at his ship last night she ran back to the new sled.
Balto kept walking until he reached Kodi's sled it was the grand sled dog racing final.

The other team was missing one dog so Balto was chosen as the fill in. He was placed behind the lead dog witch to he's pleasure was midnight

When the race started Midnight jerked with great strength and took the lead in front of Kodi’s team. Kodi had no chance Midnight was as fast as Balto and Steel combined.

Balto was starring at Midnight when he tripped and pulled the sled over Midnight turned around and growled at Balto and then ordered the rest of the team to keep going.

When they started at a sprint to catch up Balto chucked his chest into the harness and pulled as fast as he could. Midnight’s team was pulling as fast as they could and were catching up fast and after 2 minutes they were right next to Kodi’s sled and were begging to take the lead.

Kodi pulled even harder but Midnight was too fast and she and the rest of the team left them behind.

Then the last 100 metres were just around the corner with Midnights team in the lead, Balto looked back at Kodi and then at beautiful, strong Midnight he had to make up his mind his son and
Jenna or the graceful midnight.

He chose to keep running when he remembered that he had seen Jenna and Steel lying next to each other 1 week ago.

The finish line was just in front of them. Balto pushed harder Midnight pushed harder and in 1 second they were across the finish line.

Then in the crowd of people and dogs a slit of red caught his eye's it was Jenna there was disappointment and anger on her face as she walked off this made Balto feel guilty.

Then he turn'd around to see kodi's team just pull in balto looked at him but he just walked off as well.

Balto heard midnight come next to him and sit then she rested her head on him. Balto looked at her when she said "you did the right thing" then she just got up and walked away.

That night balto was woken again by a howl out side, so he got up and whent out side.

He saw midnight howling at the moonthen she got up and walked down to him"Come with me became a wolf, my pack and your mother need you" "i don't no midnight my whole life i have tried to be a dog and now you want me to became a wolf" "but Balto there are no more males in our pack" "are you suggesting that you would be my mate" "yes balto i have been watching you and have traveld very far looking for a mate".

Then the conversation stoped and balto threw he's head at the moon and began to howl in a agreement.

83 days later a wolf pup amerged from a cave it had a black back a grey chest and white tips on its ears.and next to it stould a grey wolf dog named Balto a wolf named Midnight and a big white wolf with black tips on it's ears.

Balto was siting at the mouth of the cave playing with his daughter kaleu thinking about how he had left and betrayed Jenna and Kodi and how he had saved his mother, midnight and the rest of the pack.It was like his heart was ripping to ways one to stay with midnight and aniu and the other to go back to kodi and jenna.

Balto decided to stay with midnight, kaleu and aniu because Jenna din't need him and kodi was a dog now not a pup. Besides he ws needed in the pack and he had a new familey.

that night Balto was having a dream about Aleu and how she ran off and became a wolf. In the morning balto thourght about aleu and what has happend to her.

When it was time for the hunt balto stayed behind with Kaleu when he ws on watch he heard a disturbance in the woodsand went to investigate it was onley a hare. When he got back to the cave Kaleu was gone.

How was Balto going to tell midnight that her daughter had just vanished he couldn't stand to see the look on her face so he left to go look for her.
