In a cave lit only by the moonlight, two small grey wolves were born. A stong boy and a slinder girl. The father Howled happly outside with the rest of the pack. Dahhi an elder wolf broke the song.

"The winds have spoken of the gray pup!" she yelled then went on, "A gray wolf pup a sliver as the moon, born under a full moon, shall save us all when it's ready to rise, moon will be full on birth and death, with weak and strong. " She croked out.

Alarm rushed over the pack voices broke out talking in little groups and eyeing the den. Jucha the father wolf was stuned, he stood dumb struck by what was going on.......

A few weeks later.......

Roysta jumped after a butterfly her paws trashing on the ground every time she missed. Stone was not into such things he was a little way off, tussling with Chnie, Hinad's daughter only three days younger then them. Chnie was a good fighter and so was her brother Aran. It  seemed that Roysta was just weaker then them. She never thought this way her self, Roysta was peaceful and had no reason to fight as her friends. She was about to step on a thorn by mistake when Jucha yelled not to move.

"Your about to hurt your self Roysta!" He yelled. Roysta took her paw back and looked up.

"I would of been fine daddy." She said her eyes gleam with wonder. The adults always worried and fussed over her. It was starting to bother her a bit.

"You don't know that!" Jucha said sternly.

"I'm sure it would have been fine daddy, really." Roysta said sweetly.

"Just watch where you step daughter, your important and we couldn't live with out you." Jucha said.

Roysta smiled and run away over to her brother and their two wolf pals. Jucha watched on and sighed deeply. Weeks went by and the pups grew and grew. Stone and Aran became stronger and even more good looking. While Roysta and Chnie were becoming even prettier and stronger, Roysta even started fighting more then she did most of the time.

Deep in the shadowy woods.........

In the shadows of the forest an evil grew just as strong. A rouge wolf named Blood and his 10 strong followers were planing to grow stronger then attack the River vally pack, the pack were yearling Roysta and brother Stone lived with their 14 strong pack.

Blood spoke to his pack, "Pack, Jucha's pack will be ours! They either join us or die." Blood said his eyes glowed in the moon light. His pack cheered and wolfed in agreement. "We strike when our pack is strong enough." Blood said.

"But we are now! Lets attack tonight!" Yelled Mud, a dark brown female.

Blood growed, "The pack is to low own members and disapediont ones at that." He said narrowing his eyes at Mud. Mud slunked back into the pack.

Sunny day in the River vally...........

Back at the river vally pack, Stone and Chnie were walking in a meadow hunting.

"Stone, I don't think the deer are here today." Chine said softly.

"Hold on Chine just wait I'm sure I smelt deer!" Stone said his boulder gray fur had a slight glow.

A deer sprinted by and Chine and Stone lept in to the chase.

"You were right!" Chine said, panting while running.

They both latched onto the deer. Soon after they fell it. Stone howled to his sister and the others. Roysta and Aran showed up over the low hills. No one came after that though.

"That's strange, no one came." Aran said.

"I didn't call them all, there wasn't enough for the whole pack, I called you two to eat with us then join in our hunt, we are going deep into the forest, the deer seem to be hiding there." Stone said.

"Stone the pack come first! And Parodi has had pups! She needs all the food and energy we can give her." Roysta said, her temper high with her brother who had been acting better then every body else latly. Aran dipped his head in agrement with Roysta.

Stone stepped back a bit, "Bu-" he began but Roysta wasn't listening.

She tore a leg of the deer and started to drag it back to the pack, where she would give it to Parodi. Aran took hold and helped her carry it away. Chine was starting to trail behind them. Stone's head whipped toward her his eyes big, "Your going to go too!" he shouted at her.

Chine looked took aback her cream fur ruffled, "They're right though." she said biteing her lip.

Stone looked at his paws and nodded, "Lets take the rest then." he said and took hold of the deer's neck. Chine smiled at him and ran over taking hold her self and carring it behind the Roysta and Aran.

Once at the pack camp, Roysta took the deer leg to Parodi, who was happy and ate with pleasure, her pups barking and sniffing it, un sure if they should really try and eat the strange thing. The rest of the deer, to Aran's suggestion, was sent for the elder wolves who were pleased with the deer, and surprised the young wolves had brought them their first kill of the day.

Jucha walked up to Stone, "Hey son." he said and indecated for his son to follow. Stone tilted his head and followed his father into a un ocupid area.

"What is it father?" asked Stone.

"Tonight is a full moon, is it not?" he asked.

"Yes..What does that have to do with any thing?" Stone said not knowing what is father was trying to say.

"It's about your sister." he said in a hushed voice.

"What about Roysta?" asked Stone his brow lifted.

"When you were born, elder Dahhi...she..." he broke off.

"What!?" Stone sat kneeing the ground.

"She heard the wind speck, and told of your sister, we are sure of it." He said looking at his paws, "Your mother and I are sure it is your sister." he said.

"What is she?" he asked.

"Part of the saying." Jucha said simply.

"What saying?" Stone said his mind fired to know what this was about.

" A gray wolf pup a sliver as the moon, born under a full moon, shall save us all when it's ready to rise, moon will be full on birth and death, with weak and strong." He sais, his tone was dry.

Stone tilted his head, "How are you sure it's here? I have the same silver gray pelt as her's." he said a bit upset they didn't think he could save anyone.

"Your sister's pelt is lighter then yours, even if it's a slight bit, her's is lighter." Jucha said looking at his son.

"So why are you telling me this?" Stone asked.

"Your sister is getting wild she isn't going to want to stay here much longer, she wants to see places no one has seen befor. She won't be here to save us, and we won't be able to make sure she is okay....I want you to....go with her when she leaves and protect her from hram." Jucha said sternly but softly.

"You want me to be her guard?" Stone said a snarl rising in his voice, "I have to walk in her shadow my whole life?"

"No!" said Jucha how stepped back, If you will not Iwill fetch Aran." he said and his brown fur bristled, his storm gray eyes narrowed.

Stone growled, "I can take care of my own sister with out you getting that wolf." he said storming past his father and back into the vally. Jucha stood stunned and confused, but followed, later joined by his mate.

Roysta looked puzzled as her brother Stone walked over and stared at her with his ice blue eyes. She wagged her tail once an a happy motion, but Stone didn't take notice of it. She tilted her head.

"Are you still upset that I made you take the deer back?" Roysta asked.

"No." he said flatly.

"Then what is it?" She asked.

"Nothing." said Stone and looked away, I'm worried out of my fur for you that's all! And that little Aran can be seen as strong to protect you as they see me! Stone thought upest.

Roysta looked upset her brother wouldn't tell her and she growled slightly and stormed off to met up with her mother, Jaliha. They talked for a while but her mother gave no word of her brother's behavior.

Shadowy night in the deep woods...............

Blood was walking back and forth a smile on his face, "We have 20 strong! And 5 pups!" he ranted.

Sevral wolves bark happily and looked from one to another. Mud watched from a den 5 pups lined at her stomach.

Blood turned to Mud and smiled who smiled back, "And once the pups have reached age and can fight, we attack!!!" he yelled.

Now the other wolves jump and bite at each other in play. Yearlings stuck to their mentors and watched, taking it in, wanting to be ready when a fight really came.

Mud called out ina battle cry, "And with Blood's pups at our sides there will be no way we will lose. Jucha will die!" she snerred.

Blood smiled widly and howled, the other joined in making a call thunder through the woods, a sound that made animals hide, a sound that carried the tone of pure death.

Misty night in the River Vally.........

Roysta was walking side to side, thinking.

I can't just keep staying here every day.......There's more to be seen then a few miles of land!!!! And Stone won't every let me leave his sight! He's been like that since the day dad pulled him over and tlaked to him about whatever and no one will tell me what's it about!!!! Aran doesn't come around any more, and he was my best friend...he doesn't like the way Stone treats him though and I don't blam him on bit! Why does Stone have to be that way? Well I'm not going to take any of this anymore! I'm going to leave, explore, and maybe even find a new pack where I can get a mate! Seeing as Aran doesn't like me very much anymore............I don't know if he ever really did to tell the truth.............

"The only thing is getting out of here.....and telling mom and dad about it." She said out loud.

"Tell them what?"  asked Stone stepping behind his sister.

Roysta jumped, "Stone" she growled.

"What?" he asked a smirk on his face.

Roysta couldn't help but smile back. She looked at her paws, "Tell them that I'm leaving here." she said.

"They already knew you were going to." Stone said his face wasn't smiling any more, "I'll be going with you." he said sternly.

Roysta looked up, "They did?..Wait, There is NO way your going to be going with me!" she said her eyes narrowed.

"Yes they did and YES I will." Stone yelled at her.

"NO, You won't!" she yelled.

"Whatever I'm going to be going weather you like it or not, or know it...." Stone said.

"What do yo---You will not follow me Stone!" Roysta snarled at him.

"I can do what I want." Stone said lifting his chin.

Roysta sat down and growled, "Stone this is my time to get out be free! Just let me go! Please....I don't want you by my side every day, your my brother and I love you but I wouldn't follow YOU into un known territory!" Roysta said.

"Maybe not, but I'm simply going as a shoulder friend, I want to get away to you known." he said and sat down as well.

"Then go your own way!" she said.

"It's will be best if we stay together, and then we can bring down better kill." Stone said.

Roysta pondered for a moment, He does have a point.....I supose I should let him go....

"Alright, alright you can go." Roysta said.

Stone smiled, "Now lets go tell the others."

Roysta's gaze became icy, "Will you do it? I'll stand with you....but I don't want to tell them.."

Stone rolled his eyes, "Fine, I'll be the adult." He said with a laugh.

Roysta slightly laughed and followed her tail low behind Stone, who was walking at a trot back toward the camp.

Once they told the others their were gasps from some and woolves looked aroud widely. Roysta was confused, Why did it matter so much? They were the leaders' pups but I mean Jaliha was going to have a litter in spring.

Their father was nodded sadly, he must understand. Roysta smiled at him and nussled his cheek. He nuzzled back. Stone was nuzzling their crying mother. Jaliha sadly accepted their leaving.

Chine was looking at them confused, "I'm going to." she said sternly.

Roysta turned to Stone and he grumbbled, "Fine fine...." he said.

Roysta smiled and looked at her friend, yes another girl!

Aran stepped up behind Stone, "You seem to be the ring leader, I'd like to go as well." he said lowly, almost mockingly as if he were a pup asking another to play.

Stone growled, "Fine." he said and turned to his sister and Chine, ignoring Aran, 'We'll leave at dawn. Get some sleep." he said and walked off to his den.

He layed down and stuck his nose under his tail, he loved the feeling of the cold stone under him on the hot summer days.

Roysta turned to Chine nodded, walked past Aran with out a word and went to a small acove witch was her den.  She scratched around the bracken on the bottom of the den and settled down letting sleep take over.

The next day.......

Stone woke to the dim red light of the new sun. He got to his feet and stretched. His tail bushed out then fell back down into place. His paws and claws scrapped the stone below him with much noise. His blue eyes blinked at the light as he came out of the den. There below him, Chine sat waiting she had a hind leg up scratching, when she saw him she stopped and smiled. He slightly smiled back at the cream colored female and his long since puphood friend.

"You said dawn, right?" Chine asked.

"Yes, good to see you." He said and walked past her.

"Same." she said and  followed him.

Roysta woke with a thud, she looked up to see Aran, the black male raised a brow at her.

"Sorry..." he said as he passed her and went out into the cold early wind.

Roysta shook her head and moss scattered. She got up and licked her shoulder a few times. Her lcy blue gaze met the red light that lay glittering on the surface of water in a small puddle. She looked at her self, blood her with silver outling her in the water. She splashed it as she walked past and out into the air along side Aran.

She saw Stone and Chine walking to them, The last time we'll be here....Roysta looked over the land with a few more gazes and sighed.

She looked at the other three, she stood up and started a running trot into the woods. The light became even dimmer as the three got under the leaves canopy.

This was the start of the new path of all four of their lives..............
