Steele growled. That scrawny, pathetic, useless wolfdog had gotten the better of him. Someday he would get him back. So now he was an outcast, living in a cave several miles from Nome.
Was it him
Was it you,
Was it luck
Or Jenna too?
Steele growled again. Of course it was Balto! And he had to get revenge on him for ruining his life, career and fame. And for taking away the hottest husky around, Jenna. Perhaps he would kill Jenna as well, for ditching him.
She'd never liked you
In the first place,
Admit it Steele,
Balto's won the race.
No! He would never admit that Balto had gotten the better of him! He would go and pay Balto a visit before his conscience made him change his mind.
You once were tough,
You once were strong,
To be like you
Everyone longed.
This just made Steele even more angry. He was still strong! And tough! He ran as fast as he could through the forest, adrenaline taking over him. Running as fast as he had ever run before through the forest, leaping over logs and scaring away the deer.
Kill, kill,
Maul, maul,
Isn't it time to
Stop this war?
Must ... get ... REVENGE ... was the only thought going through Steele's head as he charged on. He could see Nome now, so Balto's boat couldn't be far. Maybe I can get time for a little 'late nigt surprise' he thought evilly.
Perhaps you'd better
Think things through
This could mean
The end of you.
The end has to come sometime. And I want to have the end after I have killed that lout Balto!
By now Steele had reached Nome. He was hiding in the shadows so that he would not be recognized. Balto's boat couldn't be far now.
You wanted to stand
Up above
You were greedy
You had no love.
Steele trudged through the snow. The moon was full, he could see everything in front of him. There was a shape over near the beach. That must be Balto's boat.
You will die
I know your end
I will not be
As you intend.
The boat was empty. Steele went inside. Still empty. Probably hanging out at the Boiler Room. He turned to go out, but someone was in the doorway. It was Balto.
You'll regret it
Your heart will be stone
Just walk away
Now leave him alone!
Balto! He gasped. Yes? replied Balto.
I can teach
But you'll never learn
Maybe I'll leave you
To get what you earn.
This is for ruining my life! howled Steele, as he lunged for Balto's throat.
You've done it now
Theres no turning back.
You've completely gone
Down the wrong track.
Balto stepped nimbly aside. Steele lunged again, pure hatred burning in his heart. This time he ended up outside, and Balto was on the edge of the boat.
Why did you fight?
With kindness you'd be further
Instead you are trying
To kill one another!
Steele leapt at Balto again, and Balto jumped off the boat. Steele however, was unprepared and landed on the ground nearby with a thud.
What's done is done,
It's all over now
Why did you do it
You stupid fat cow?
Steele limped away. That scrawny, pathetic, useless wolfdog had gotten the better of him. Again.
