I'm going to get rid of you, once and for all, for you are the only one stealing her from me.

My paws made light thuds in the snow as I padded through the city of Nome. My cold, steel blue eyes roamed as I let a small grin creep up in the corners of my mouth. A light growl left me as I quickly stopped, and peered down at a small... puppy.. trying to squeeze through my front legs. Slowly, and hesitantly, I spread them, my barrel chest hanging down low almost to her head, and my tail lashed from side to side. "What do you want Dixie?" I asked with no enthusiasm in my voice.

Dixie's small body gave a tremble, and she whined, her fluffy fur billowing in the wind as I stared down at her, unamused. "Steele.. you know  she's not available.. just... stay... with me?"

"Dixie... you know just as well as anyone.. I don't care about you. You are just a... just like that stupid wolf-dog .... He doesn't deserve life, and apparently, you don't either. You sided with the wrong husky." I pushed her off of me, her paws making scratching noises against the ice. "Get out of my face pipsqueak." My body jerked forward as I leapt into a trot, her whiny voice trailing off in the background. My thoughts were all pushed away as I proceeded up a large hill, my body forcing forward. Keep going, Steele... I told myself, and did as I was told. My eyes squinted as snow drifted upwards from my movements, sending the debris into my eyes. Humph... a little snow could never hurt anyone... I muttered to myself, barely in a breath. My eyes opened as I turned my head, stopping abruptly. Jenna's. I thought.

My body dropped into a sit. I stared absently at the large, brick built house. Each brick was neatly placed on another, and wood 'fence' props were leaning against the building. Freaks. I thought to myself. Trying to pass off as a normal family. Right. Like that was possible with a wolf-dog in your presence. My eyes scanned the nameplate on the door, reading "Wipe your Paws". I heard a sound behind me, my ear pricking back and my head snapping in that direction. A familiar scent drafted towards my nostrils. Wolf-dog? Jenna would get me if she liked it or not. Ba- Wolf-dog didn't belong in Nome- MY TOWN! He was on my territory. In the bushes, I could make out a yellowish tint. Kaltag...?

"Steele! Buddy O' pal! I haven't seen you since you fell off the cliff! How are you?!" He blurted out, dashing over to me, tail and head held high and nuzzled me. Too much, too fast. Falling off the cliff? That was a couple years ago.

"Kaltag. Get. Away." I said, in an annoyed voice. How dare he just scamper up to me and expect me to grant him three wishes. He didn't stick by my side, so why should I to him? He wasn't a friend. He was my enemy now. He sided with wolf-boy, and left me without the antidotes. What was this, Madness? My eyes searched his untamed thin fur. His skeletal structure was less abroad than mine. I was built for running, unlike him. I wasn't wolf per say, but I was husky, which is as close to being a wolf, and not being a wolf. A low growl erupted from my throat, his body quickly jerked away from me.

"Steele! Why?! I mean, I thought... I thought... We... we were friends.." Kaltag protested, and I slowly curdled my lip up, my teeth baring and I snarled deeper. He yelped, and scampered off into town. I slowly let my lip retract back into place, slight twitches showing that I was furiated. My eyes drifted up as I watched snowflakes dance down from the sky, falling around me, and landing on my fur. A large flake fell on my nose, and I gave a small shiver as it melted, liquid rolling down my nose, and to my paw.

My eyes flickered across the sky, watching the snow flakes absent mindedly, as my body trembled lightly. Another scent, all too familiar. This time, I didn't have to go astray to know who it was. Balto. He was near, the wind picking up and giving away his scent. My nostrils flared, and I gave a small growl. Wolf-boy and I were going to get even. He stole my girl, and my life. He wasn't going down easily. He stole the last of my sanity. I wasn't leaving without putting up a fight. Life or death situation. He was going to die, and I am going to have the prize I've been fight for my whole life. Jenna. I love her far more than Balto ever could.

My eyes locked on a tan tail that popped out of a bush. I was right! I thought to myself, and I growled lowly, again. I watched the tail evaporate into the bush. Strands of fur stuck on the prickly branch. Steel blue eyes locked on my target. He isn't going to escape me this time. He's escaped too many times before. He basically ran away with my Juliet. I slowly forced myself to walk towards the bush, my ears pricking as I heard his smooth, soothing voice. Pathetic. I had a better look than him, and I was a purebred husky. What more could you ask for?

My jaw clenched. His scent was putrid. He smelled like oil, his greasy wolf fur, his girl stealing ways. My anger was rapidly increasing. My body convulsed slightly and I lunged through the bush, my throat ripping growls and snarls from it. "BALTO!" I screamed, and sank my teeth into his tail, a loud yelp heard and my paws skidded as I landed. I had let go of his tail when I landed. My cold blue eyes were locked on him, his eyes wide, and horror written in them. A low maniacal chuckle left me, and I let another ear splitting growl rip from me. Balto's tail swished lightly, as if he was excited to see me. I doubted that, so very much.

"Steele. Whats wrong? You're in Nome again!" He said. As if I was dumb, I could see what he was trying to do, he hid a smile far better than I could.

"You stole my girl. You're going to pay. I saw her first. She's rightfully mine." I said coldly, my claws digging into the earth, growling deep throatily.

Balto frowned, staring at me with bewildered expressions. "So? She loves me, always have, and always will. Her and I are going to have my pups. My kin. My bloodline." Balto's voice held no hostility that I could find. I knew there was some deep down.

My left eye twitched, and I snarled deeper. "You're out of your mind, Wolf-boy!" I said with aggression building, my voice steady and threatening. Balto's eyes widened, once again. Bewildered, and scared. Frustrated, maybe. My body convulsed again, and I lunged at him, Balto scuttling away with a shaky motion.

"Steele STOP!! Settle down! We can work this out!" Balto retorted, his body stiff, and fur bristled. My lip curled back in anguish. Wanted to work this out? No way. He just wanted out. My claws dug into the cold, hard ground and then I forced myself to lunge at the wolf-dog again. My eyes burning with fire behind my cold steal blue. YELP!

I was rammed in the side! I bolted into a wall, my eyes wide, and anger burning beyond the seen limits. I stared at the red husky whom landed beside Balto. "Jenna!" I said with anger boiling behind my voice. My heart dropped. What DID I do to deserve this? I watched her nuzzle him, with deep passion. My paws searched for solid ground. I felt like I was falling eternally. Was she really doing this? Choosing the wolf over me? A growl rumbled from my throat as I finally found solid ground. I wasn't a wounded soldier anymore. My heart burned as I watched him and her, my eyes wider than they ever have been. Anger, jealousy, pain, bewildered. All emotions I felt. I snarled at Jenna, once again, my voice now becoming hostile. "I'm your mate Jenna!" I demanded, my voice not subtle anymore.

Her body jolted with sudden fear. She turned her head, her brown eyes filled with pain and sorrow. She helped Balto up. Balto stared at me as well. Double teamed now. That isn't a fair fight. My eyes narrowed, and I slowly backed up, and disappeared in the snowy horizon. I ran through town. Angry glares and cowers were scanning over my body. Snow was kicked at me, and I was snapped at as I ran. I watched Dixie's small little frame turn her head away from me. Even the dog whom has had a crush on me for a long time didn't want me anymore. The boiler room! Someone there had to want me around. I skidded to a stop as I almost bolted through the closed door. I scratched at the door and whimpered.

I heard laughs, and snickers from beyond the door. I sighed and turned my back on the boiler room, and dashed off into the distance, again, to be out-casted. My new home would be in the woods, closer to Nome than anyone would know, I hid underground, in a cove that was hidden by snow, and I grinned. No body would find me now. No one would steal my love from me. Good luck finding me now Balto.

Good luck now. I am hidden beyond the sight of the eye, I am no where to be seen, yet, I see you scanning around, looking, searching. Nobody wants me? No. The truth is, nobody wants you. Not even Jenna. I'll kill you, just you wait. Just you wait. You've stolen her from me once, but you won't do it again. Oh. Trust me, you're not getting her twice in a row, Balto. You're not going to be around much longer. I'm going to get rid of you, once and for all, she's mine, for I loved her first, you therefor you are the only one in the way of loving my lovely, Jenna. Stealing her will not be an option, for you have stolen her from me.
