STEELE'S LAMENT
You,
wolfdog, took everything from me.
My love, my
glory, my work… you took all my fame.
Now, I
suppose you are happy to see
I’ve got
nothing … I live in a shame…
I worked so
hard to be good,
I achieved
my goals. I was the best.
But noone
really understood…
I’m one of
you…
I feel
hunger, thirst and pain.
I’ve got
feelings that can be hurt.
And now,
everything is in vain.
Just
because of you.
I’m not a
monster. I’m dog too.
I made a
lot of mistakes.
But … now I
beg you,
Just see
who I really am.
I know, you
were an outcast, right?
Now, our lives
switched quickly.
Like day
being followed by night…
But for
you, morning came… for me just darkness.
I am bad.
Or everybody says so,
Selfish,
big headed, egoistic bad one…
Do they
bother to learn more ‘bout me? No.
They turned
away so quickly. I used to be a hero…
But
remember, others like to forget.
Today you
are the greatest, but tommorow you are nobody…
Enjoy your
glory. You have it, yet…
There are
worse things than the death.
I don’t
expect you will understand. Noone will.
Nobody
wants to...
But still…
I have
feelings, too…
I am sorry…
