Sprit Chase Chapter 1

Shadow and his brother Tony are now friends and a family again, with Shadow's scar gone he lives a new life. "So Tony..." Shadow asked "Yes?" he replied "How did you know that the scar would heal? Was it a guess or...?" Tony sighed and said "Well...im sorry i kinda made you die for a second...i knew it would work just...i didn't egspect you would die..." "It's ok Tony...at least-" Shadow started. Tony jumped in front of him to stop him from walking "No it's not ok! Mom, dad and even Me wouldn't of had a son or brother!" Shadow gasped "Im not kidding...i wouldn't of cared if i died...you just tried to help me..." "Brother...you don't understand! Since i cased the Phienex life on you your going to live your life seeing what we dont..." Tony said saddly

"What do you mean....?" Shadow asked in shock "Well...the Phienex makes you see fire...your eyes will turn red when your in danger...you will see evil and nice sprits that think they are alive...you...will...be..." Tony said saddly "I will be what!" Shadow said growling at tony "You will not be 'Shadow the loved' you will be 'Shadow the hated'" "But why! Cause i can see spirits and you can't! Don't most wolves see spirits Tony! Why...why am i going to be hated.." Shadow soon ran off into the woods "Shadow wait!" Tony yelled.

As Shadow ran past the other wolves they all looked at him as if he were human. Shadow finnaly came to a little pond in the woods see his face as normal, "What's wrong with me...why am i hated by so many...i look the same i feel the sa-" Shadow stopped feeling a spike in his back and his eye's turning red. Shadow yelled out in pain as he turned into a demon wolf. "Now i know why Tony said 'i will only see fire'..." all the wolves around him growled at him and circled him and attacked, Shadow ducked in fear and the wolves flew back with a scar yelling "The Phienex Life!" Shadow looked in fear as his eyes turned normal blue and the spikes on his back were gone. "Tony!" Shadow yelled as loud as he could.

"Shadow! You can not stay here! Go to a place where noone will find you...everyone hates you soon i will hate you if i talk any longer!" Tony cried, Shadow turned his back to Tony and saddly said "I'm going to miss you and mom...even dad..." And he bolted deep into the forest. "Shadow..." Tony cried soon running in the other derection to tell the other wolves "It's OK he won't kill you if you don't attack him!" but the other wolves called out in anger "Oh yea? he's not gonna kill us?! What are you his 'Protecter'?" "No, i am his brother but please! Be kind to him if you can! I know you hate him but please..."

The elder wolf walked up to Tony and growled "You are his brother...I'm guessing you cased upon him the Pheinex Life...Now were all doomed if he fights yet again..." "You mean Shadow will die and we will all fall!" "yes...You must stop him!" "But if i keep talking to him I will also hate him attacking him and we're going to die!" "well....it will have to be that way if you keep this up! Find him! And stop this madness!"

Tony sighed and nodded his head and ran to find Shadow yelling his name. Shadow soon came upon a mountain and walked up to the top with a tear coming from his eye's. "Shadow!" He heared from far. "Tony?!" "Shadow! Where are you!?" "Why do you want to know?" "It's not importent" tony kept running toward his voice, Shadow sighed and finally said "I'm on the mountain at the top right infront of you!" Tony came to the mountain and looked up.

"Shadow, i'm truely sorry but you must... you must not get into a fight! or all wolves will die including you!" "Why...?" "The Pheinex Life does more then causing you to turn demon, it also causes everyone else to die also!" "And..." "I'm sorry but you have to die...." "Will i live again...?" "Possibly....maybe a spirit guide or another wolf..." "Is there a possible way to just get rid of the pheinex life?" "Yes...and No.... There is a leaf known as the Combined Life but its almost inmpossible to find!" "Where is it found?" "i was told once about this plant, you just eat it and the pheinex life goes away! but the demon part of you will stay" Tony looked down sadly "it is found at the top of the mountains to the south and north, the north way is the fastest!"

Shadow started running north and yelled "Thank you tony! I will always remember this day!" "Your welcome" Tony cried walking back to the other wolves thinking in his mind "i hope he doesn't encounter any animals or anything among the way... or its the end of mom dad shadow and me...." the elder wolf asked Tony "What did you tell him?" "i told him to find the leaf..." "What leaf?" the elder growled "The combined life leaf! he will live the leaf will absorb the phienex life and-" "You fool! among that path is alot of dens and wolves!" "You mean i just sent my brother to a dangerous place filled of enimies!" the elder nodded his head but tony just asked "The path to the north? is that dangerous?" "No... if he is quite he will not cause an avalanch"

As Tony and the elder talked Shadow was encountering dangerous thin ice and icy snow "i better be carful" he thought in his mind, as he finally got to the top of the mountain he saw he climbed the wrong one, the leaf was among side to the right. "you've got to be kidding me!" he acsidental yelled out. THUD was all he heard, there was nothing that happened but a bird falling to the ground beside him, Shadow only laughed at the bird because it had ice on it's wings. Shadow picked the bird up and got rid of the ice, "there yea go, be free". His journy not any easyier just harder, he face many snow patches cause him to fall almost twice and a thin ice patch where he almost fall. Finally he reached the top of the mountain and found the plant "Yes! here it is finaly i found the Combined Life Leaf, now i live a new life!" shadow yelled as he picked the leaf and snow fell to a slope just sitting there.Shadow laughed in releaf and ate the plant.

Shadow eye's went white and his mouth wind opened, the Demoned Phienex Life spat out of him and into the air. Tony and all the other wolves saw the Pheinex appear and dissapear leaving suspishously the Northern Lights. As shadow's eye's turned normal blue he slid down the mountain side to his brother tony awaiting in the forest. "Shadow!" Tony yelled as Shadow was apearing in the veiw "Tony! Thank you for telling me, I live a new life!" Shadow yelled in joy. The elder wolf of the clan (pack) walked to Shadow and said "Good job my friend... you saved everyone from death!" Shadow nodded "You are welcome kind elder."
