Being a mere puppy was the worst thing to be in the land of Malighb. Malighb had many dangers, in fact, I was in the hidden Mist Clan. We lived in a small woods called Kaziba, we lived in the swamps, basically, it was foggy there most of the time.

"Teio!" My sister Kayli said, prancing in tall grass, as she hit the ground, grasshoppers shot from where she landed. She giggled, finding it funny that this happened. "Come quickly Teio!!" She yelled again. She yipped as I pranced over, my head high, and my tail hitting the grass gently. "Silly brother!" She giggled, tackling me. I yipped, laughing, and pushed her off.
"Get off me! Kayli! I am not your prey!" I said as a reply and forced myself to my paws, looking at Kayli with my cold, blue eyes. "What do you want?" I asked her, tilting my head to the left with a quizical eye brow raised. "I was hunting for the elders of the pack... and you interupted me!"
"Sorry.. but.. WATCH THIS!" She said, as she swung around, leaping into the grass, laughing as the grasshoppers sprung from their hiding spots into the air. A large grin swelled onto her face, as her eyes widened. Her brown fur was bristled in excitement as she looked at me. "Cool huh? You try it!" She said excitedly.
I rolled my eyes at her, and leapt into the tall grass, butterflies flying from where I leapt. I yelped, scrambling back. "Those arent grasshoppers!" I said, surprised, and looked to Kayli who was jealously looking at me.
"WHY do you do things better than me all the time?!" She asked, and forced past me, making me stumble backwards.
"Im sorry.. I guess I am more talented.. ..." I said, and then sighed, looking around and then snorted. I walked towards the clearing, which was where the dens where located. I looked at mom and dad, as they stood there, debating on situations I was too young to even think about as they told me. My eyes shifted as the leader proaded up to me. I bowed my head in a respectful gesture. "G'Evening Jalios." I said, looking at his jet black pelt. He was pure black, with red eyes. I swore he was the devil hiding in wolf form.I grinned at him as he licked my ear comfortingly.
"Teio... did your sister tell you that you are going to be healer one of these days? Looking at you just makes me feel the slightest bit better than I usually am." He said to me with his red eyes shifting. I respected him more than any other wolf could. A grin slipped onto my lips as I replied.
"Nope, Sorry, She failed to mention anything that you said to tell me!" I said almost quickly, before thinking and I yipped, as I thought of what he told me. Healer of the pack was a big deal! Something I wanted to be for a while now, and I was being told I would most likely be one. This had to be the best day in my life.
"Well listen Teio.. I gotta go and patrol our territory.. I have been getting big whiffs of some strange scent.. " He said as he departed me. I stood there, quietly for a few moments, watching him in awe. He had to be my rolemodel! Though he was devilish. I turned around to see mom walking to me with worried eyes. She didnt look to happy, nor mad. I was surprised when she took a paw around me, collapsing, me hiding her face.
"What's the matter mom?" I asked, seeing dad carrying a dead Moram. My heart felt like it had stopped beating as I stared at my dead brother. He was drenched in blood, and he was limply hanging from my fathers mouth. Tears were streaming down dads face. I couldn't force words out of my mouth. One moment it was the greatest time in my life, the next, I feel like its the end of the world. What should I feel? Happy.. or depressed. I was so confused, my eyes slowly shifted towards my grieving mom who used me as a sheild for her eyes. I whined, tears falling from my eyes. Dad dropped him, I looked at my dead brother with sadness written on my face, and I whined again. "He's dead.." I muttered, not able to say it aloud, and I closed my eyes, turning my head with grievence.
"He was SLAUGHTERED!" Dad said, raising his voice, my eyes snapping over, and mom forced me to get off her, me falling down, whining. More tears rolled down my cheeks as I got up, shakily. I looked at dad with a tucked tail.
"THEY ARE COMING! WARRIORS MOVE! HIDE THE PUPS! SHE-WOLVES RUN!" The patrol announced. My eyes widened. Death, then this?! I grabbed my dead brother, taking off, my sisters and brothers following me. I had two sisters, and three brothers-no! Wait, two brothers now, and I looked at them, them not understanding what happened. I looked forward, then back again. THEY were GONE! My eyes widened as I ran faster. I was out of our territory and I didnt care. I whined and I felt hot tears roll down my cheeks, falling as I ran as fast as my short paws would allow me to.
I heard growls of pain as I proceeded to run, carrying my dead brother in my maw, whining as I felt wetness carressing my paw pads. I slipped into a dark, water based cave, looking around nervously. I was lost. I slowly dropped my brother in the only dry spot there. I knew if I wanted to get home, I would have to get out of this place first. This was just perfect, right when I wanted to be a healer too! I felt hot tears of protest rolling down my cheeks. I was crying! Yet, I wasn't sad, nor happy. I was in the middle of happy and sad, and it felt like I was being torn in half as I thought of my life here in the many lands of the planet Malixia. I only knew of oneof the gods, and that was of Akani, the blood god who controlled our powers, and if our powers were weak, he was mad at us.
I knew at the camp, war was raging on, and yet, all I could do was run from the danger and watch from the sidelines, though I was far from being at the sidelines this time. I was lost, again. I bet my brother and sisters were lost too, as I sighed, a tear falling into the water below my paws, and I whined. Am I ever going to see them again? I asked myself, scared, and yet, I was still having that happy feeling of rejoice. I was were Akani wanted me. I knew that. I also knew that Akani didn't only control my powers, but he controlled me, he was in his wolf form, always around, and he almost continuously bled from his mouth, his eye, and his hips. He found ways to stop the blood for a certain amount of time, but never for ever. That blood is what makes him famous.
"Teio." I heard in the distance, and I looked up. Someone was calling my name. I looked up, to see, the guy who has always been close to me. Akani. The only Malixian god I knew of, yet, he was before me, as I thought of something to say, grins leapt onto my lips. I rushed to him, slipping in the water, and falling at his paws. He was so tall comparedto a little pup like me and I flattened my small ears.
"Akani! I have longed for this day!" I said quickly, his nose touching my forehead to comfort me with a murr of gratitude.
"Teio, your brother was slain for me, he will therefor live again, but as a form you will see later in your life. He has been loyal, and thus forth kind to everone. He isn't dead purely, only dead body wise. His soul floats around us, watching us, knowing who he will be, and he will be wise, and tell you at the moment that is needed most, you will know when he is alive again, for he will be the one to comfort you and say "Teio, My dear brother, I have longed for this moment, not only as your friend, but as your brother." Those are his exact words, engraved into his brain." Akani's voice was deep, yet soothing. My eyes widened as he told me about my brother. I now felt tired, and I felt like I was going to explode, no! IMPLODE!
"Mr. Akani, sir... so you.. are telling me my brother is going to take another form?" I asked almost too quickly as I almost fainted at his paws. My eyes closing and me falling into unconsciousness.
I woke up to see a brown wolf, with peircing red eyes, with a cat like pupil, that stays slitted. No blood ran down his muzzle, and I wondered if I really did see Akani. I saw a drop of blood run down his maw, and I grinned. It really was Akani, and I yipped happily. I looked over at Akani and tilted my small wolf head. Perhaps, I was dreaming this all up. I sighed, noticing that my dead brother was gone. I yelped, leaping up and looked at Akani. "Brother! His body! ITS GONE!" I said, then I remembered my parents, and my siblings. "My family!" I said, and my eyes widened in terror.
Akani stared at me, almost blankly as if I was crazy. My eyes were wide, and he was just staring at me! I felt so stupid, as if my brothers death didnt occur. My ears pinned back, and my head lowered, as if I was submissive, and mad, not at the god, but at myself. Akani made me feel safe at the moment, and my eyes shifted. My brother was gone, I was lost, and I bet my siblings were lost as well. Blood still scattered throughout my pelt, and I winced as I thought of how my brother was probably killed.
"I buried him. No need for a body to be laying dead, now is it? I dont think we want maggots here, nor do we want to be found. I will get you home, and I promise you, your brother will be regenerated, but in a different form than you will be used to." Akani said, almost proudly. He sat there, slowly turning his head, and looked off into the distance. His words had pierced through my thoughts, making me think differently now.
"So... I will see him again... buh-but as a different form?!" I said, almost alarmed. Had I already forgotten what he had told me earlier? I whined almost, and it was silently. I closed my eyes, feeling like I was about to cry. I was in the presence of a god, I was seperated from my family, and I was saddened by my brothers death. What else would happen today? Akani knew I was upset, and he tilted his head.
"No? Don't like that? I dont know if I can propose anything else.. " Akani said, getting up, strutting back to me, and gave me a comforting nuzzle. He knew I was scared, he knew I didn't know what to think, nor what to do. My eyes were welled up with tears, and my head shook.
"Thats not it... you are a god, I am.. nothing.. You are helping me, and I have nothing to offer back." I said, ashamed of myself, and I tilted my head, knowing he probably thought I was lame at this moment, and I sighed.
Akani's eyes narrowed at me, and it made me cower. I saw his anger reflecting at me. "I am not a god, that you should be concerned in pleasing. Korikage, yeah, you might want to please her because she is picky. She's the reason we live here- cause she saw that we needed a break, and that more of our kind should be on Malixia." Akani said almost flatly, hiding his anger behind his deep voice. Akani hated that his anger could show easy.I perked my ears, and looked at the blood god. Blood slipped through his fur, like a snake through grass, easily slipping between threads.
"Yu-Yes sir.. I mean.. Akani.... " I said hesitantly, and smiled, almost weakly, and slowly sat down, feeling abit better, and my ears swiveled as I heard a howl in the distance. It made my flesh crawl, and I almost yelped. It was horrid! Wasn't a howl I heard- or a howl that I could recall. Akani shifted his attention to the outer den, and flattened his ears slowly.
"Pup, get sleep, I will be out there, patrolling, and looking for a good exit to find your pack.. or whatever you guys called it. " Akani said, before turning around, and strutting out of the den, My head tilting, and I obeyed. I was very obediant to my elders.
I woke up to Akani's voice, his voice shattered my dreams like glass falling to the ground, crumbling to a million pieces. My eyes snapped open, and my head lifted faster than I opened my eyes. "Akani?! whats the matter?!" I said, almost quickly, and panicing like. He picked me up, and ran out of the den, and I held on to his scruff, and winced as he ran as fast as he could, through the woods, and towards an empty plain.
"Quiet Young'un!" Akani ordered, as he entered the plain, me on his back, almost scared. Akani's brown paws lifted from the ground. A scream arouse from the forest we just left, and gunshots rung. I squeeked, and buried my head in his fur. Akani looked at me, and roared in pain as a bullet pierced his hackle, making him take off quickly, me still on his back, holding on for my life. Akani looked back at me, as a different scent arouse in the air. Blood. His blood didn't smell the same, though his normal blood that ran through his pelt normally didnt smell of anything, that I had noticed, but this blood... it reeked.
"Akani! you okay?!" I whispered in his ear, as I held my paws around his neck, enjoying the ride, but worried about him. My eyes widened as he dodged more incoming bullets, them being soundless as they came at us.
The bullets seemed to come closer, and Akani tried to run faster, knowing he was limping slightly, and winced, groaning in pain slightly. "Teio, listen to me, and if anybody gets you, you yell my name- or Korikage.. Kori will help you get out of this mess better then me myself.... I am still gonna get you out of this tangled mess.." He said, as he dodged another bullet, and yelped, as one pierced his flank, thankfully missing his organs, barely shaving his side.
