Austin, Texas

1931

On the outskirts of the city, is a small ranch. It's an basic looking farm. A house, barn, wide open feilds and all that. On this farm lives the farmer Richerd and his wife Casey. Also living with them are there two loyal dogs. A male husky named Cole and his mate Linda a golden retriever. One day Richerd noticed that Linda was not looking so good. He took her to the vet's and he confermed that she was pregnet. Cole was very exited to hear this. They have been waiting for the time for the pups to come. And that time is now.

It's night time. Richerd and Casey are asleep. The dogs have been in the barn the past few nights. The moon is bright as Aniu's snow white fur, the stars are shining, and the air is cold as ice. In the barn Linda wakes up to a large strike of pain. Cole, who is sleeping next to her wakes up as well.

Cole: Whats wrong?

Linda: I think my water just broke.

Cole: Shit...ok. Stay here and I'll get Richerd and Casey.

Cole bolts out of the barn. He runs throught the dog door of the house and runs into the master bed room. He barks and walks over the humans. They both get up and Casey turns on the light.

Casey: What's up with him?

Richerd: I don't know. Cole calm down.

Cole barks in alarm and runs out of the room.

Richerd: I think he wants us to follow him.

Casey: Lets go!

They follow Cole out of the house and into the barn. They see Linda on the floor breathing very fast.

Casey: look like It's time.

Richerd: Ok your dad was a vet once, do you know how to do this?

Casey: Yes. I'll need some towels.

Richerd: Anything else?

Casey: Yeah. Stay outside, I'll need some room. Cole too.

Richerd: No problem. I'll be back!

They quickley kiss and Richerd bolts into the house. Cole wait by Linda's side until he comes back.

Richerd: Ok, Cole come.

Cole looks and Linda.

Linda: Don't worry I'll be fine.

He smiles at her and she licks him on his cheek. Cole and Richerd go out side and close the door. The sun starts to rise. Some whineing sound can be heard from inside the barn. Cole is paceing back and forth in front of the door. Richerd is sitting on the ground nibbleing on a piece of hay and moveing around his mouth. After about an hour, Casey comes out of the door.

Richerd pulls out the hay and keeps it in his hand.

Richerd: Well?

Casey smiles at him and gets down to Cole.

Casey: Your the father of four beautiful pups now Cole.

She turns to Richerd.

Casey: Let's let him go in first.

Richerd: Of course.

Cole slowley walks in to the barn. He sees four little puff balls in front of Linda.

Cole: There beautiful. Just like you.

They look down and see that three of the pups look like Linda and one of them looks like Cole.

Linda: And you.

Richerd comes in and sits down.

Richerd: Wow. There amazing. Great job Casey.

Casey: We still have to name them.

Richerd looks to the pups. He picks one of the retreivers and sees that its a girl.

Richerd: This one kind of looks like a Sadie to me.

The dogs bark.

Casey: Thats a yes from the parents.

Richerd takes another one. He sees that it is a boy.

Richerd: How about... Luke?

The dogs bark again. He sets Luke down and picks up the last retreiver.

Richerd: This is girl and she looks like a Taylor to me.

The dogs bark. He sets Taylor down and picks up the husky pup.

Richerd: This one is a boy. And man is he strong looking fellow.

Casey: We should give him a name that sound strong and tough.

Richerd: How about Jim. Just a thought.

The dogs bark at that.

Casey: Looks like they like the name.

Richerd: Ok then. Sadie, Luke, Taylor and Jim, welcome to the famliy.

Casey: I think that we should leave them alone.

Richerd: Ok then.

They walk out of the barn and close the door behind them.

Two years later

Something is running in the feild. The tall grass is covering whatever it is. It pokes it's head and reveals to be Jim. He looks at the chicken pen and smiles when he sees a large group of chickens.

Jim: heh, heh.

He bolts out of the tall grass and jumps over the fence. The chickens scatter over the pen. Jim chases one of them and to the edge of the fence. But the chicken jumps out of the way and Jim slams into the fence post. It falls over and a bunch of chickens run out of the pen and into a large feild. Richerd leaps out of the front dorr and Cole is right beside him. They get the chickens back into the pen and Richerd sets some boards around the fence of the pen. Jim tries to sneak away from behind them.

Cole: Jim.

Jim: Damn it.

Cole turns around.

Cole: Son we...

Richerd: Damn it Jim!! Come here.

He grabs Jim by his coller. From the house Taylor and Sadie laugh as they watch Jim being dragged near the barn.

Luke: Will you two knock it off. That's not funny.

Taylor: Yes it is.

Sadie: Seeing Jim get in trouble. You dont think it's funny?

Luke: No, you should feel sorry for him.

Taylor: Why?

Just then Linda walks into the room.

Linda: cause he's your brother.

Luke: And he's different from us.

Sadie: What do you mean?

Linda: He's not like us. Jim is not a farm dog.

Taylor: I guess your right about that.

Richerd throws Jim into the barn.

Richerd: Stay in here until you behave!

Cole slips by him.

Richerd: I'll give you a few minutes Cole.

Jim lies down on the floor and Cole walks over to him.

Cole: You know that your in serious trouble this time?

Jim: I know.

Cole: You need to lean know what to do and what not to do.

Jim: I've tried. I just dont feel like I belong here.

Cole: Do you really feel that way?

Jim: Yes. I want to find adventure. Travel to places beyond this little farm.

Cole: You can do that you know.

Jim: I can?

Cole: Of course. You just could have told us and we would have listend to you.

Jim: Then can go?

Cole takes a deep breath.

Cole: Yeah you can. But... leave in the dead of night and you would have to say goodbye to the others.

Jim: I will.

Cole: Get some rest son, you have a long quest ahead of you.

Cole leaves the barn. Later that night in the barn, Sadie rushes up to Jim and nuzzels him.

Sadie: I wish you luck.

She backs away and Taylor comes up to him.

Taylor: Well... just dont get hurt.

She nuzzels him and backs away. Luke comes up and he holds out his paw. Jim smiles at him and gives Luke a high five.

Luke: I hope I'll be able to see you again.

Jim: Don't worry man.

Luke backs away and Linda comes up.

Linda: Good luck. I hope you'll find what your looking for.

Jim: I will. I'll find away to send you a picture or something.

Linda licks the side of his face. Cole comes up to him.

Cole: Here son, I want you to have these.

Cole the military dog tags he has around his neck and puts them around Jim. Cole the reaches for Jim's coller and and pulls it off him.

Jim: I can't take your dad's dog tags.

Cole; He gave these to me before he died. I loved to hear him tell his strories about serving as an attack dog in the Great War. I wanted to wait until I was old and weak. But seeing this, I think now would be the best time.

Jim: Thanks dad.

Cole: Who knows maybe you'll find something else on the adventure of yours.

Jim: I'll just have to see.

Cole: Where do you think your gonna go?

Taylor: What the best place to find adventure, to you?

Jim: Well... I herd that theres some things that go on in Nome, Alaska.

Sadie: Are you nuts!?

Linda: That's across the boarder. You'll need to find away to slip past it.

Jim: Relax. I'll think of something. So until then... goodbye my family.

Not another word is said. Jim opens the door and runs off. His family watch until he passes over a hil and out of sight.

About a month passes, from the hot desserts of New Mexico and Arizona, to the rapid growing Las Vegas, and Portland, Oregon, Jim has made it to the historical city of Seattle, Washington. He sneaks behind a butches shop and digs for some bones in the garbage. He finds a nice bone and he looks for a place to stay for the night. He finds a big box in an sits down and starts to eat. After a few minutes, the wind starts to pick up and a newspaper page flies into the box and covers Jim's face.

Jim: What the hell?

He shakes it off and looks at the newspaper to find anything intresting.

Jim: Ok...lets see what's going on in the world. Monkey's esacape a zoo, Shaving people's back is a crime now, Grandmother beats up a guy with her cane, Balto dies....What!?

Jim looks at the article and reads it out loud.

"Balto, the dog that saved Nome dies along with his mate Jenna. This wolf dog who was once an out cast is now being mounrd by the town of Nome. But Balto and Jenna left the world with there five beautiful pups. They were buried on a hill that over looks the town of Nome. And Balto's son Kodi took his father's sled dog racing legecy of helping the town by joining the mail team. All that we can hope is that Balto's pups will find mate and expand the wolf dog race."

Jim sees a picture of Balto's pups. And there names are listed from left to right as they are in the picture.

Order of pups from left to right: Stark, Kodi, Hunter, Sara and Dingo.

Jim: Wow.

He looks at the picture of Sara for a few minutes.

Jim: She's beautiful. I would like to meet her. I think I'll keep this. I wonder what else is in this newspaper.

He looks at it more and finds a interesting article.

Jim: Vital information for your every day life? Hmm.

He looks down the article and starts to laugh.

on the article: My advice for you today is this, readers: If you look under your arms and see a huge glop of Mayo then never ever come near me!. If you jump out of a plane and your parachute fails.... bye bye. If accidentley flush your friend down the toilet... then you either got a huge toilet or one tiny friend. And you may seem weired if you go up to you school principale and say " So hows your butt?"

Thats all for today.

Jim laughs. Not to long later he finishes his dinner and falls asleep. Jim continues his journey and after a few days over the dangorus terrain of Mt. Vernon he reaches the small border town of Blaine, Washington. He manages to get across the border and into Canada. The way to Alaska is was pretty easy. Jim took traveld by day and started at dawn. He never ran into any trouble with other animals. He gets to Alaska and stops at the train station in Juneau. He looks at the route schedule and sees a train is leaving for Nenanna. He then finds out that another train will take some suppleis to Nome. Jim sneaks on to the train and he falls asleep.

The ride over to Nenanna is a little bumpey but Jim makes it. When it gets there, Jim sneaks on to the train that will take the supplies to Nome. Before the train departs he hears some humans talking outside.

Man #1: I thought that things were deliverd by dog sleds.

Man #2: Only from here to Nome. The dogs make deliverys to towns more closer to Nome. Like white mountian.

They train ride over was long. Jim was ok though. He survived on some meet that was in the car with him. And at long last his two and a half month journey has come to an end. When the car door opens, Jim sneeks out while no one is looking. He leaves the train station and sees what he has been looking for Nome.

Jim: Well here I am.

He walks down the main street where it's always busy. He looks all over him checking out what it was like. However he is not looking where he is going and bumps into another dog. They both get up and shake the snow off. Jim looks at the dog who has rusty red fur and a cream white underside.

Dog: I'm sorry.

Jim: No it's my fault. I didn't see you.

Dog: It's cool. Are new? I've never seen you around here.

Jim: Yeah I'm new. Are you the kind of dog that hates new dogs in Nome.

Dog: Not at all. Where are you from.

Jim: Austin, Texas partner.

Dog: Texas!!? Are you for real?

Jim: Yes I am.

Dog: What brings you all the way up here?

Jim: I came in search of adventure and maybe something else.

Dog: Well you likley to find that around here. And allow me to be the first to welcome you and you can consider me your friend. Whats your name, partner?

Jim: Jim. And you?

Dog: Kodi.

Jim: Kodi? Wait.

He pulls out the news paper that he has kept around his dog tags. Jim points to the picture of Kodi at his parents funeral.

Jim: Is that you?

Kodi: Yeah thats me.

Jim: I'm very sorry about your mom and dad. I hade up most respect for Balto.

Kodi: Thank you.

Kodi looks down at the news paper.

Kodi: Mayo under your arms?

Jim: Thats nothing.

Kodi and Jim both laugh.

Kodi: Come with me. I'll show you around.

Jim: Lead the way!

As they walk through Nome, Jim gets to know Kodi and the town.

Kodi: What are those things around your neck?

Jim: These are my grandfather's dog tags. He was an attack dog in the army. He was shipped over to France to help push Germany back. And he was givin these for killing over fifty enemies.

Kodi: That's amazing!

Jim: I know. He gave these to my dad before he died and before I left home my dad gave them to me.

Kodi: Thats so cool.

Jim: So... you got a girl?

Kodi: Yeah... I do.

Jim: She's lucky. What's her name?

Kodi: Dusty.

Jim: Thats a nice name.

Kodi: Did you have a girl back home?

Jim: No. But my dad said that I might find something else other than adventure out here.

Kodi: I can agree with him on that.

Jim: Oh come on. It not like she'll come running over me.

He says that as Kodi looks ahead. He stops smileing and gasps. He reaches his leg around Jim.

Kodi: Hit the deck!

Jim: Wha...

Kodi ducks to the ground and he pushes Jim down as well. Jim looks in front of him and sees a bright red and snow white husky runnning right at him. She leaps over Kodi and Jim and runs the other direction. Jim gets up and looks back. Kodi looks back as well.

Jim: What was that?

Kodi: My sister, Sara.

Jim: She's fast.

Kodi: She delivers books to people around town.

Kodi sees Jim still looking at Sara as she keeps running.

Kodi: Are you ok.

Jim: I'm fine. She beautiful.

Kodi: You think so?

Jim: Yeah.

Kodi: I can get you to meet her if you want?

Jim: I would like that. Can I meet her now?

Kodi: Not really. She's very commited to her job, like me. But I can tell her about you see if she'd like to meet you. Sound good?

Jim: Yeah sure. It's getting pretty lete. Is there a place I can stay?

Kodi: Well... yeah. I know a place.

The sun starts to set. Kodi takes Jim to the boat where Balto used to live before he died.

Jim: What is this place?

Kodi: This is where my dad lived.

Jim: Would he mind if I stayed here?

Kodi: Not at all. Get some rest. I'll talk to Sara tonight.

Jim: Thanks.

Kodi turns around a walks away from the boat. Kodi catches Sara coming out of the boiler room.

Kodi: Sara!

Sara: Kodi, what up?

Kodi: Can I walk you home? I wanna talk to you.

Sara: Sure.

They walk through Nome.

Kodi: You leaped over me earlier today remember that?

Sara: Thats was you? I'm sorry.

Kodi: It's ok. But did you see another dog with me?

Sara: Yeah I saw him?

Kodi: Well he knid of thought you were... sort of ... beautiful.

Sara: Really? What's his name.

Kodi: Jim. He came from Texas.

Sara: Texas? No way!

Kodi: And he saw a picture of you at mom and dad's funeral and he thought that you were the most beautiful wolf dog on the planet.

Sara: Really? He sounds nice.

Kodi: He would like to go out with you sometime.

Sara: I dont know...

Kodi: It's been almost a month since mom and dad died. Were all still sad about it. But your not talking to anyone, your only seen doing your job and the worst part of all this to me is that Dusty is thinking that you'll kill yourself.

Sara: How does she..

Kodi: She's your best friend. And wont lose another family member.

Sara: Maybe this is good for me. But mom and dad would say...

Kodi: Dont think about what they would say! Think about what they would want. Do they want to see there daughter in sorrrw? Or would they want to see her happy. What would they want?

Sara: That I should meet this guy.

Kodi: That's the strong sister I know!

Sara: So what does this guy look like.

Kodi: He's a husky, A little taller then me, brown fur, muscular, he wear some millitay dog tags around his neck.

Sara: Military dog tags?

Kodi: He said that his grandpa was in the Great war and he gave his dog tags to Jim's dad and Jim's dad gave them to Jim.

Sara: Interesting.

Kodi: And he's funny too.

Sara: He does sound nice. I think I'll meet him.

Kodi: Great!

Sara: I'll tell him to meet me at the boiler room tomorrow night.

Kodi: Sounds good to me. Who knows? The fourth of July is tomorrow. You may find a perfect guy to spend the rest of your life with.

Sara: I guess we'll just have to see.

They stop in front of Sara's house.

Kodi: I better get going.

Sara: Dusty will be looking for you.

Kodi: Yeah I better go see her.

Sara rubs herd head along Kodi's and walks into her house. Kodi looks up to the hills where Balto and Jenna are buried.

Kodi: Mom, Dad. Make sure that Jim will make sara happy again.

Kodi turns around and walks away.

The sun rises over the Alasken tundra, the day goes on like it would any other day. Jim spends his day on the beach thinking about what to say to Sara if she did want to meet him. Around five o'clock, Kodi comes on to the boat and confronts Jim.

Jim: Well?

Kodi: She said yes.

Jim: Really?

Kodi: She sounded really intrested in you so she would like to have dinner with you.

Jim: Nice.

Kodi: An today is the fourth of July. It's her favorite holiday.

Jim: How so?

Kodi: Ask her later. I arranged for some food to be brought to the boiler room.

Jim: Cool!!

Kodi: And I would also like to say thanks.

Jim: For what?

Kodi: Sara has be depressed after our parents died. And this is something she really needs. So do your best and make this a happy night for her.

Jim: Of couse I will.

Kodi: Then go get her!!

Jim: Im on it!!

Jim jumps of the boat and starts to run towards Nome. Kodi walks right behind him but Jim stops and looks back to Kodi.

Kodi: What?

Jim: I've only been here a day. Wheres the boiler room?

Kodi groans.

Kodi: Follow me.

Kodi walks Jim to the boiler room. They stop at the front door.

Kodi: Shes Inside. This is as far as I go.

Jim: Your a good friend.

Kodi: Thanks, good luck. You'll need it.

Jim chukels and Kodi leaves. Jim looks at the door and takes a deep breath. He walks into the boiler room and sees Sara sleeping in front of the furnice. The fire is lite and the light comeing form the furnece is makeing Sara's fur shine like a bright red sun. Jim walks over to her and smiles.

Jim: Shes more beautiful in person.

He sits down next to her. And puts his mouth over her ear.

Jim: Hey. Hello

Sara wakes up. She looks up at Jim and smiles.

Sara (thinking to herself): Wow. He is handsome.

Sara: Hi. You must be Jim?

Jim: Then you must be Sara.

Sara: I am.

They look over and see a small stack of meat.

Sara: Looks like Kodi prepaired everything for us.

Jim: You got a great brother.

Sara: He does know how to make things right.

They sit down and start to get to know eachother. They even start laughing at one point.

Sara: That must have hurt when hit your head on the fence post.

Jim: It did.

Sara: So I first saw you with my brother in town yesterday.

Jim: Yeah. I reconized him from this newspaper article. Here have a look.

He pulls out the news paper and shows her the picture of her and her family at there parents funeral.

Sara: Yeah thats us.

She gets a sad look on her face.

Jim: I'm sorry. Kodi told me that your still sad about you parents death.

Sara: It's ok. I think I'm starting to feel better.

She moves her paw forward and gentley places it on top of his. Jim looks down and looks back up to her.

Jim: To tell you the truth, after I saw you in this picture I wanted to meet you.

There stair at each other. Each of them looking deep into each other's eyes. In Sara's eyes, Jim sees a angel that is in a major state of depression. And he feels that this angel is to beautiful to be sad. In Jim's eyes, Sara sees a strong spirit that cares for all living things around it. That remindes her of her father.

Sara: I have glad to have met you. I dont what it is but theres something about your eyes that make feel like theres nothing to be sad about. It's like now I always be at your side.

Jim: That what I feel too.

Sara: I love you.

Jim: I love you too.

Sara: Will be my mate, Jim?

Jim: Of couse I will.

Sara gets up and nuzzels Jim.

Sara: Hey the fireworks are about to start.

Jim: Lets find a good spot to watch them.

Sara: Follow me. I know a place.

Sara leads Jim to a building and take him on the roof.

Sara: This is the best place to watch them.

Jim: Kodi told me that this is your favorite holiday. Why?

Sara: On this day our America was born. 56 men what this country is today.

Jim: Really? Cool.

They wait a few minutes. Around eight, the sky light up with fireworks. Jim is amazed by this. As he watches, a sound that is not of the fireworks get in his ear. He looks over and sees Sara singing to herself. Jim can make out what she is saying.

Jim: I know that song!

Sara: You do?

Jim: I heard it on a radio around this time at home.

Sara: This song totaly matchs this day.

Jim: Then lets sing it. Come on!

Then both get up.

(As they sing this they jump from roof top to roof top all over town. Fireworks are also being shot up into the sky also)

[Sara:] Give me a world that's equal on all sides
[Jim:] Let freedom flow as constant as the tides
[Sara:] I pray with each sunset, don't forget to rise
[Jim:] (Don't forget to rise)
[Sara:] I live without regret
[Both:] For ordinary lives

[Both:] I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

[Jim:] I see a land with liberty for all
[Sara:] Yet still I know the truth will rise and fall
[Jim:] (Oooh yeah-yeh)
That's just the way it goes
[Both:] A word now to the wise
The world was made to change
Each day is a surprise

[Both:] Lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
Looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

[Both:] And I know when you're looking for the truth
(Mmmhmm)
If you go and read between the lines
You'll discover how and why

[Jim (rap):] I take my heart into battle
Give that freedom bell a rattle
Get my independence signed
Declare it on the dotted line
In Philidelphia freedom ring
And patriotic voices sing
Red White & Blue never give up
We represent America

[Both:] I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

They stop at the edge of town. And the fireworks stop as well.

Jim: You have a great voice.

Sara: So do you.

Jim: Thanks.

Sara: I'm getting kind of tired.

Jim: Should I take you home?

Sara: Your coming to.

Jim: What?

Sara: My owner will love to have you.

Jim: Well in that case sure.

They go to Sara's house.

Jim: Are sure about this?

Sara: Trust me.

They walk in through the dog door and appoach Sara's owner Frank.

Frank: Well who do we here?

Het rubs Jim on the head and he pants at him. Sara then rubs her head under Jims chin.

Frank: Oh I see. Love. Very well he can stay.

Sara happily barks. Sara and Jim walk into a room and fall asleep next to eachother. Jim lays on his side and Sara is leaning her head on Jim's upper chest like a pillow. Looking at then through the window is Balto in his spirit guide form.

Balto: Good job Jim. You saved my daughter from death. You are now have a very rare spot in my family.

Balto gets down from the window and walks down the street. A small gust of fog consumes Balto as he fades away. The next day, Jim is walking through town and he is confronted by Kodi.

Kodi: How'd it go?

Jim: Were mates.

Kodi: Yes. I knew from the first moment I saw you, you were perfect for her.

Jim: She seems really happy now. I think she's finaly getting bettter.

Kodi: Thanks. Welcome to the family of Balto.

Jim: It's an honor.

Kodi: If theres anything you need from me, you got it.

Jim: Well there is one thing...

Austin. Texas

Richerd: Hey Casey?

Casey: Yes.

Richerd: You know anyone from Nome, Alaska?

Cole, who is sleeping by the door wakes up to this.

Richerd: It's nothing.

Richerd throws the letter away. Cole walks over to the trash and takes it up stairs.

Cole: Guy's come here.

Linda, Luke, Sadie and Taylor gather around him as Cole opens the letter with his claws. On the letter is a picture with Jim and Sara on it. And a typed letter that reads:

Dear Mom, Dad, Sadie, Luke and Taylor.

I had a very skilled dog type this letter and a very close friend of mine send this to you. Dad, you were right. I came up to Nome looking for an adventure. But I found something better...Love. Her name is Sara. She is the daughter of Balto. Yes, that Balto. She's cool, funny, smart and has a very kind spirit. I hope that one day I can return to you. But it would have to be for a little vist. My place is here in Nome now. I hope that you'll understand. Maybe you can try to find a way to get a letter to me and we can exchange letters bck and forth. I got... conections with the mail service. On the back of this letter is a picture of me and Sara. We gave her owner a camera and he knew that we wanted a picture.

I love you alll

Jim.

Luke: Lucky basterd.

Linda: He found what he was looking for.

Taylor: I thought he wound never make it.

Sadie: Lets see the picture

They flip the letter over and see a picture of Jim smileing with Sara at his side.

Cole: That's my boy.

Linda rubes her head across Cole's face.

Nome

Sara and Jim are walking up the hills outside of town.

Jim: Where are you taking me?

Sara: You'll see.

Sara leads him to the top of the hill and Sara stops at the edge with Jim a little bit behind her.

Jim: What is this place?

Sara: Come up.

Jim goes up to her and looks down in front of his feet. In front of him and Sara, are the graves of Balto and Jenna.

Jim: No way! Is this...?

Sara: Yes.

She looks down on the graves.

Sara: Hi mom, dad. I wanted to say that I thought I was gonna fall into complete darkness and sorrow after you died. I just missed all those fun adventures that we used to have. Like New York, that whole Shadow business, New York again, and that thing with Lady and Tramp.

Jim: What are you talking about.

Sara: I'll tell you later. But I know belive that I'll be able to find my own adventures. I'll share them...with the love of my life. Mom, Dad this is Jim.

Sara takes a few steps back and Jim make a nerves laugh.

Jim: Um, hi there.

He laughs again.

Jim: Well Balto... I just wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of yours. But I love your daughter and I will swear on you and Jenna that I will protect her. And her brothers. And Jenna... I didnt know that much about you but I've seen pictures of you. I can see where Sara gets her good looks from.

Jim laughs and looks back at Sara for a second and looks back to the graves.

Jim: Any way, I just wanted to say that It's a great honor to be a part of your family now. And Sara told me something about you two in spirit guide forms or something like that? As crazy as it sounded, I hope that I can see you two like that one day. So... goodbye.

Jim turns around and walks away. He joins Sara and they both walk back to Nome. Ready to start a new adventure together.

The end

The reader of this should also read Love and danger. It's like this where Balto's pups find mates after He and Jenna died in my other fanfic It all comes back. Just a thought.
