Shena howled ''We have a newcomer who has not yet learned her wolf voice .We will help her find it . Now we will demonstrate for her , AWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO '' It was the most beautiful sound Saba had ever heard in her whole life . She tried to match it , ''Arrrwwwwoooo''. ''Do not worry little one '' , Shena said ''Your voice will soon be as brilliant as ours '' . '' The next day the teaching began . Early in the morning they took her out to hunt . Then in the middle of the day they took her to watch the pups . Then at sunset she fought . Then that night Saba tried to howl again , it was better than the first time she had howled . The orange bandanna that matched her mother's flapped in the wind . Then she realized something , Bold , a wolf who had been on the hunt was sitting next to her . ''Good , eh '' , he said . ''Yes, but not as good as yours '' . They sat there in total silence . Then they nuzzled each other . And then slid down into the den and Saba and Bold went back to sleep . When Saba woke up (or rather woken up ) it was really early . She was used to sleeping in a a soft plaid dog bed in front of the fire and sleeping as late as she wanted to . ''YAWN '' , she was really tired . Boy , she thought This is going take more than a little getting used to . They walked out to hunt . Two years passed with the pack . Saba had mothered 3 wolf dog pups . But two disappeared when Saba returned to the den . So only her daughter , Dusty remained . One day Shena was out cast for a reason unknown to the pack . A wolf named Moon Breeze took over . He was a strong male wolf who all of the females adored , but he was only interested in Saba . But Saba hated Moon Breeze and would not answer his proposals to mate . Dusty was now eight weeks old and had grown up around nothing but scorn . Soon it was clear she had to mate with Moon Breeze or she would be killed . Finally she gave in . She mothered a brown male wolf pup she named Scorn because of all the anger and scorn that she felt for Moon Breeze . Saba raised Dusty and Scorn together .

Sable and Lunos the two wolves who had brought her to the pack in the first place , and Bold her true mate were her only friends . Dusty was growing up fast . But one day when Dusty was four months old Saba told her ''Wolf dogs are not welcome around here , and you don't deserve anymore anger or scorn around here . There's a place I know where my brother Kodi lives and where you will be well cared for . Tell the lead dog that Saba sent you and you will have no trouble at all .'' She gave her directions to the place in which she spoke of . So Saba raised Scorn well . And she and Bold gave birth a new female gray wolf pup who she named Hill Storm . Hill Storm did not grow up around anger and mistrust as Scorn and Dusty had for Bold had overthrown Moon Breeze . And Moon Breeze left the pack never to be seen again .
