THe pups are almost gone with their lives. Here are the rest of the story.

NIA

HI there I'm Nia. the coolest and the fourth pup of Justin and Amy!

Since most of my siblings were going I started to act like I was the boss to cover my lonelyness.

I told them what to do, made them do my choirs, Made them get food for me,It was heaven!

Or so I thought.

One day Malcolm blew up on me.

"That's it!! ENOUGH!! I don't care if you are the oldest here!! Quit acting lazey and do something other than sulk!" He said at the top of his voice.

  "Have to agree with Malcolm. Mabey if you have a hobby it might decrease the state of depression in your mind ." Harrrison.

  "I AM NOT DEPRESSED!!!! NOW MR.-KNOW-IT-ALL YOU NEED TO TAKE MISTER HOT-HEAD TO A CLIFF AND JUMP OFF IT!!" I shouted as I ran away from my brothers.

Deep down I knew they were right. I didn't want to hear the truth.

I went to a cliff to cry. I missed everyone. They either had mates or away somewhere.

Then I heard a crack under me. I lean too far on the cliff. 

"Oh no!" But it was too late!

 I fell into the ice cold river.

Even with my fur I felt the shards of ice piercing through me. The water burned and choked me. I was soo scared I didn't know what to do.

I poked my head out of the water but The current was too strong.The bitter air wasn't pleasent either.

I hit my head on a rock. As I felt the air crushed out of my lungs I faded into darkness.

When I woke up I was in a cave out of the winds outside.

"Ah! I see that you are awake little one." an old wolf  was beside me.

"Who...who...are..you...?" I asked still weak.

"I am Kenji. Leader of the river clan. And you are?" he said.

"Nia. Oh no! My clan will be worried about me I have to-"

"I'm sorry but this is Winter my dear. Any attemp to cross any path is most unwise. Might as well wait it out here." he said to me.

"Whatever." I said mad.

"Now now child we respect our elders here." he said annoied.

"Well I don't belong in this clan so I don't have to follow you're laws Gramps!!" I said walking away from him.

"Now! I'm not going to throw you out on that comment because your a guest here but until you start acting like someone with manners I can't can eaisly control my pack will be as kind as I am." he said coldly to me walking out of the cave. 

 "Whoa!! Gramps got some attitude problems." I thought.

But he was right I couldn't leave unless I wanted to be a wolfsicle. So I desided to explore the new place I'm in. It was really nice.

The clan live by the river bank and  they all could swim and hunt and higher skills than our clan.

The pups would always follow me. Its weird but at least they like me. The others treated me like an outside infection.

They don't talk to me much and they scapegoat me at every occasion. Whoa I didn't know I knew the word scapegoat.

But there is this one that stares at me alot. Everytime I try to talk to him he freaks out and run away. Males are weird.

I missed my home and my family more than before but I knew after winter's over I could go home to all of....well.....most of them.

Anyway the winter was getting longer and Gramps.....I mean Kenji was showing me the tricks of the trade around their home.

It was like he was my second grampa. I was a hot-head but he always had patience with me.

Then one day when the winter was clearing up for spring something went wrong.  Kenji fell. His breath quickened. 

I ran to him."Gramps what's wrong?" I said.

He smiled and said "my time is up my dear Nia."

"No no you can't go not now!!!" I screamed with tears.

"Even though I trained you for a few months I feel I known you my whole life. My life is complete my student.In a way you were like my grandaughter. Like family to me." Kenji said as his breath slowed down.

"But there's gotta be something I can do." I was so sad I couldn't bear to see him die.

"Then do this for me." he asked.

"Anything." I said.

"Become the leader of my clan."he said.

"What? But they won't accept me I'm a outsider. " I said.

"Go to the moutain pass down the river. An old friend of mine will make it possible for you to make the cut. I knew I was going to die soon so I sent a messenger to contact him. Go there as soon as you can. He....owes...me..." that was his final words to me.

I put his body on my back and walked back to the clan.

They didn't like it much when I told them about his last wish.

"how can our leader leave us with you?!" One said.

"We can never trust an outsider!!" another said.

I wasn't shocked by thier response I just turned and walked towards the pass to the mountain.

But that wierd wolf came to help me. And trust me I needed all the help I could get. 

We went to the pass as the snow melted. We were high above the river. I felt sick when I look down.

I felt alittle nervous aout being a alpha female but the wolf beside me said. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll be great. You worked hard since you came here. I've seen you train ."

I stopped. "What!? You been stalking me?!" I screamed.

"No! I was just....Wait! hear that?" he said.

"Don't change the-whoa!" I said trying to maintain balance as felt something under me.

My voice echoed though the moutain. Then the ground started to fall with ice too. It was an....

"AVALANCE!!!" We both screamed as we ran across the pass.

"Look out Nia!" he said as he pushed me from the falling snow. He fell from the pass to the river.

"NO!!!!: I screamed. I didn't see him anywhere.

I wanted look for him but I had to go to the end. He would have wanted me to go. "If  only I asked him his name." I thought walking to a forest.

I felt so horrible with not one but two deaths on my mind.

I was in the middle of a plain with sun beaing down on me.

I heard a twig snap!

I turned. I saw figure coming to me."Who's There are you a friend of Kenji?" I asked.

"Nia? That you?" It was Noah!

"Noah?!" I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug I ever did in my life.

"Good...to...see...you...too...kid....but...you're...choking...me..!" He said in between breaths.

"Oh! Sorry. How's everyone? are they alright? "I asked with so much emotions runing through me.

"Fine Just depressed after you left. Your mom was crushed with your dad. Cassy, James, and your brothers tried to look for you but after a while we assumed that you were gone. It was hard on every one." He explained.

"Wow. I missed them all but I have a favor to ask of you." I said.

"Wait! Before you tell me where's Kenji? He said that he wanted me to help with the next leader for his clan."he said.

"He's dead. And his last wish was to make me the new leader of his clan." I said.

"What?! Kenji....he was one of my best friends. He was old but- Wait! he wanted you to become the leader?!?!" He looked at me.

"Uhh.......yeah he did." I said.

Noah was silent.

"Well if its what he wanted..." he was walking away.

"Come Nia we must go!" He said.

I followed.

He stopped  in front of a water fall. "This is the test. If you jump off this and survive you will have the title of alpha." he explained.

"What its at least 50 ft high!! Its impossable!" I said.

"Then you won't become leader. The choice is yours." he said leaving me alone.

"Why Gramps? Why me? I can't do this." I said as I looked down.

"You're like a grandaughter to me"  "My student." Those words echoed in my mind.

Gramps....And that wolf who risked his life for me......My family.

"If they have faith in me..... I can do it!" I said as I lepted through the water fall.

I felt Nothing but air until the water slapped me soo hard I was out cold.

Then I woke up with Noah beside me. 

"congrats kid you're alpha." he said to me.

My head was throbbing and my body stinged when I moved.

"you're still weak. Rest."

"No! I have to returnt o the clan." I said trying to get up.

"You won't do anyone any good if you go now. REST." he insisted.

So I did.

Then the next thing I knew when I woke up I was back at the clan.

"Good you're awake." someone said.

I turned to see who it was. It was the wolf who saved me!

"Its you. your alive!" I said giving him a hug.

I thought I heard him sigh for a moment.

"Yeah! I'm fine." he backed away.

"I..uh...never got your name." I said.

"The name's Kai." he said.

"Uh.. how did I get here?" I said wondering.

"I was going back to the clan until I saw you drifting in river" he explained.

"Thank you." I said to him.

He was always so nice to me. And he's quite handsome.

"Hey I know this might seem strange but....I would like to go out with you sometime if you want." he said shlyly.

I smiled.

"Sure. Sounds great." I said with a smile.

He had a smile bigger than his own body.

In a few months after I gathered my own clan I saw my old clan with my mate.Yes. Mate! Kai!

 Mom and Dad burst into tears as they hugged me. I fought a battle of crying myself inside of me. Then my siblings came to me. Its been so long since I've seen my famliy.I cried with them.

I stayed with them for awhile but I had my own clan but I visited often.

Harrison.

Greetings to whomever is reading my story. I am Harrison. The fith pup of Justin and Amy.

I have a high Intellect. My siblings doesn't like the fact that I brag about it but its me.

Ever since I could walk I would sneak to the library window in town and Listin to the old female read storys to the children.

Books fasinate me even though I can't read. Hearing adventures that takes you around the world in your mind was just amazing to me.

I saw that my siblings were finding their place very quickly. I was beginging to panic about my own goals.

I was good at being in the pack but my heart was always in town.

While I was hanging out with my brother Malcom, I was still thinking about the poem the old lady told on Halloween day called "The Raven." by Edgar Poe I think.

I was looking at the cloads as they started to get dark. I shivered. 

Then Malcom Tackled me as I was daydreaming.

"What's with you Harri? Your always getting distracted." Malcom said.

"Sorry Malcolm." I said.

"You were snecking out weren't you?" he said.

I  looked at him with wide eyes. 

"How do you.......?" 

"You may be smart but not very slick. I'm shock mom and dad doesn't know." he said rolling his eyes.

"Please don't tell them. It would break their hearts if they knew." I pleaded.

 "Their our parents. They'll understand." he said calmly.

"That their pup wants to go town intead of living in the pack?!" I shouted.

"But-"

"Just leave me alone." I said runing away.

Again I snuck to the library but no one was there.

I went to the front to see the old lady.

The old woman dropped something to the ground.

I went without thinking and picked up somthing shinny.

But when she looked at me I saw only black glass blocking her eyes.

"Thank you for returning my cane you aborable dog." she said as she patted my head.

 "Dog?" I thought. She's blind? But how could she read those amazing stories?

I licked her hand. She giggled.

She started to walk away.

I was about to go home until I heard someone scream. Curiousity overcame my logic again. I investigated.

I pushed through people until I was in the road.

"Isn't somebody help that poor old women?!" a little girl shouted.

It was the library lady! 

A sled was speeding out of control heading straight for her and she was on the ground without her cane. 

 I ran as fast as I could to her. I grabbed her by her long scaff and dragged her away.

The sled missed her by inches as it passed by and eventually slowing down.

"I knew you were good luck the first time I met you." she said petting me then gave me a hug I gave her the cane again and she smiled.

But the people didn't like me too much. "WOLF!! " someone shouted.

I heard a gun cocked then my wolf instinct kicked in.

I ran away back to the forest.

Appairently I forgot the time because mom and dad were blocking me  from entering the land.

"Morning? Hehe." I said nervously.  

They both just looked at me, which was never good, and walked towards me.

"Harrison, why didn't you say that you wanted to go to town?" Dad said seriously.

I looked at them with wide eyes.  "Malcolm." I thought.

Then Malcolm came from behind them. "Sorry Harri. They threated me man......"  He said not looking directly at my face.

I was nervously trying to think of a explaination.

"I thought you'll both be hurt if I told you the truth." I said.

"Son, we love you. You're over a year old now. It might be hard but if its what you wanted we would have let let you go there willingly ." mom said.

  "Really?" I said as I walked over to hug both of them.

Mom started to sobb all over me.

"Come on mom. Its not like I'm leaving." I said.

Then I heard something from behind.

"Doggie? Are you there?"  a voice called out.

"Its the old lady!" I said runing towards her.

She wrapped her arms around me as soon as I got out.

I was thankful that no other animal got to her first when she came here.

"I don't care what you are. To me you are my hero. Do you want to come and live with me?" She said

I naturaly lepted to her arms.

"I guess that's a yes." the old women said.

I heard some one howl as she took me home.

It was mom saying " Come and visit!"

When she made my adoption official she showed me how she was reading. There were markings in the book and she spoke every time she moved her fingers. Humans are amazing.

Now I'm her blind seeing dog or wolf. I go with her everywhere and I'm truly happy.

MALCOLM 

 Yo! Its finally my turn!! My name is Malcolm and I'm the last pup of Amy and Justin. Don't think that I'm small that I'm not tough!

I'm kind of of a hot head so I've heard but I don't know why they would think that. 

It got kind of lonely in the pack since my siblings had grown to their own lives. I know I have my own life but I still miss them even though I'll never admit it to them.

Its hard but not as hard as my parents. I can only imagine what those two are going through. I atleast things to occupy my time but my parents....whew.

I hope they are okay. 

Anywho I hang out with my best friends Sharon and Calvin. They helped me with my siblings going their own ways. I'm not trying to be soft but I wouldn't know what to do without them.

I like....no love to run. I used to challenge my siblings and my friends to races. Now no one wants to race because they know I'd win.

I heard that  humans have these teams of dogs that race each.  

Everyday I watched them and pretend that it was me leading them. I even have dreams were I 'm runing into town were everyone was cheering for me to win!

One day near the river I told my friends I'd go into town as a new member for a team.

"I Don't think they let wolfdogs into teams." Sharon said.

"What about the town hero of Nome? Balto?" I said.

"Its true. You could have a chance to race. Did you tell you parents?" Calvin asked.

"Well....I don't know if I should. I don't think Mom and Dad can handle an empty nest already." I said.

 Sharon shook her head." You think sneaking off will make it better for them? Making them worry where you are?" she said.

"They understood your siblings. Why not you?" said Calvin.

I sighed. "I'm gonna run a few laps. I'll see you guys later." I said.

It was another mile before I got to the den so I thought I run the rest of the way.

I trotted first then went faster and faster until I was at full speed!

Then I felt something small hit me. I started to feel sleeply then fell on the ground. As my eyes started to close I heard voices around me. The voices were human.

As I woke up I was in a hug cage. I heard howling and barking all around me. I looked around but I was clueless to where I was.

"Where am I?" I said.

"Your in the black market of Sled racing." a voice said.

I looked to my right to see a big brown huskey in a cage too.

"These human dognap dog or wolves to pass them up as imported dogs."  

"What do you mean Black  market?" I asked.

"It means its against the law or selling ro doing something illegal. They sell dogs, bet on races, you name it." He explained.

"How do you know all this?" I asked.

"I've been her for ten years. My name is Ken.  I was snagged from my family and been here ever since." He said.

"Whoa! Ten years?" I said.

"Yes." he anwsered.

"I can't wait that long. I need to get back home!" I said.

"Your not the only one who  flet like that kid. You may as well sit tight and do what the humans say." Ken said.

"I may be younger than you but even I know that's the cowards way out!" I shouted.

"Go ahead and try. They have the whole place monitered with cameras and guards. No one can leave." Ken said turning around then went to sleep.

For weeks I made many attemps  to escape but all of them ended up back in the cage.

I've been starved and whipped in punishment for defiing them. I'm not gonna say it didn't hurt.

I knew I had to get out! Mom and Dad are  probably freaking now. Mom, Dad ,Tonya, Kevin Harrison,Nia,Eric.

I miss all of you.

I was begining to hate all humans. I was slowly starting to lose hope that I would escape and go home  to the pack.

A full year went by. My body was stronger from eduring so much pain and trying to leave. My fur was tangled and faded in color.

I was sleeping in my cage when the door opened. It was too early for food so I naturally growled at the human.

Two humans came to my cage. One had a gun in his hand. I was too weak to fight but I was still growling at them.

"I want this one!" one said. My vision was blurry.

"But he's too old and he can't fight." the one with the gun said.

The other bend down to pet me on the head. he whispered "Don't worry boy. I'm here to save you."

I still didn't trust him but I was too weak to resist. "I'll pay what ever price you like." the human said.

"Fine." he said. He had pulled out a needle. I tried to bite him but he placed his hand on the side of my neck so I couldn't move my mouth. I felt something pierced my shoulder then everything went black. 

 When I was waking up I felt warm water being poured on my fur. I was aware but I remand motionless. Then I was brushed then my wounds were repaired.

I opened my eyes and tried to stand on my own. I looked around the room that I was in. I was in a dog's bed in a cabin near a fire.

I heard a door open to see a human in a coat.

I growled weakly.

The human took off the coat. It was a female human.

"Easiy boy. I'm a friend." she said placing the wood down then walked to me.

I stared at her. Even though she didn't have a weapon I was still alittle nervous around humans.

She patted me softly on the head.     

 I didn't move. "Thank goodness I rescued you before you were sold to another bidder." she said sitting next to me.

I cocked my  head slightly. I was confused.

"That's my job boy. I'm suppose to pretend I'm a buyer. Then I fix up the dogs and give them back to their owners. But by the looks of it you don't have and owner do you? You were from White mountain right? That's my home town and HQ of the rescue squad. " she explained. 

 "Well I guess you can  stay with me." She said.

I whined. "What's wrong boy? You homesick?" she asked.

I barked.

"Well I do have to report you to HQ so you'll see you home tomarrow." she said. I licked her hand. "Oh right I didn't give you a name did I? How.....about....Malcolme? After my brother." she said.  

I barked happliy at her then lied in bed. Then I went to sleep.

The next day I flew in on a plane to my home. I was sooo happy to be home.

I was walking in town with the human on a leash untill we got to a tall building. "You go on and find you friends. I'll be back in two hours." she said going inside the building.

I bolted  to the forest.

Then I finally found them.

"MOM?DAD?" I said.

Mom was crying while dadd sat by next to her.Then they turned to my direction. Both were very still.

"Impossable......" dad said. "My Baby!" Mom said runing towards me. She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me so hard I think my lungs were crushed for life!

"Where were you?" he asked me.

I explained what happed the past year.

"I thought we lost you!" Mom said crying. "Oh mom I'm ok! Really!" I said placing a paw on hers.

"I looked for you everyday that you left. I thought....." Dad didn't finish.

"Don't blame yourselves."I  said.

"Atleast you came back." Mom said.

"Um......Mom? Dad? I want to stay with the human who helped me." I said.

"But why?" Mom asked.

"I want to help other dogs and wolves that get caught in the black market. I'm not the first to get caught and I won't be the last. Even pups were being sold for racing and fighting. I want to stop it." I explained.

"That'll be dangerous son." Dad said looking at me intensely.

"I know but I  don't want anyone to go through what I did. " I said.

"But after all this?! I want you to stay-"

"Amy. He already has made up his mind. And he is all grown up." said Dad.

"But....." she was about to cry again.

"Mom don't cry. The Headquarters of the squad is here so I can come visit mom. I promise!" I said licking her paw.

It was too late she was crying.

I sighed.

"Give your mom a moment son. " Dad said.

I waited untill they both came back.

"Malcolme. I don't want to lose you. but if its what you want." Mom said.

"You won't mom! I'll make the both of you proud. I do my best so that no mother would feel what you did." I said.

Mom smiled and hugged me.

"We're already proud of you son. Come back to visit soon and becareful." dad said.

"Thank you!" I said and hugged them both.

"I'll be back soon I promise!" I said runing back to the big building.

The female and a male was with her.

"Hey  boy. I made it official that your my partner. You'll pose as a sled dog when we go under cover. We'll rescue other like you and give them back to their families." she said.

I was making a difference and helping other with my talent.

I was home and I kept my promise to mom and dad.

The family will be back for the final chapter of royal love. If I find inspiration I might add more chapters for Royal love.
