Passing Of The Torch

By Ahura Werewolf

Even as I lay here

bleeding to death

I still hope

for the future

Where the younger members of our pack

will walk side by side with the two leggers

called man

Into an age of peace

With this thought I can die happily

I see the goodness in man

He even though cannot see it in himself

in his current state destroys everything they

come in contact with

But one day he will give up is savagery

in order to become our brothers under the moon

Both our races never stop reaching for the light

in order to find our destinies

My vision starts to wane

I can feel my soul wanting for release

I will release control of my body who has been

a good friend to me over the years

I am sure my pack will howl

in sorrow to find my cold shell devoid of life

But I will wait for them on the other side of the veil

to be together in death
