No One Should Be Alone on Christmas
By: Grey Wolf 777
It was early Christmas
eve in the quiet town of
So the town was a little commotional. But Balto had all of
his plans put together for Christmas. He had always wanted to have all of his
family together for the holidays. He had always seen the people of
Thankfully, Aleu, Niju and the clan decided to pay a visit a
few days ahead of time. Balto didn't have this idea of a get together until a
few days ago. Aleu and Niju was more than happy to stay for a few days, maybe
even a week. Kodi, Dusty and the team also wanted nothing more than to be there
for the get together. Seph even had the liberty to visit for a while for the
night. Maybe even see if October wanted to join them. He thought he's spend his
brother's first Christmas get together with his family.
Balto thought it would be very nice for them all to be
together on Christmas. Everyone in the family with their lovers, family, and
friends. It was great that everyone was in love during the Christmas season.
Well, almost everyone.
Steel was the only one in Balto's little list of
"acquaintances" who wasn't exactly in love for the holidays. He was
having a little trouble with Princess. They were very close to being a couple
until a little mishap Steel had with Princess about feelings. They had a little
argument about whether or not Princess liked him just for his looks or for
feelings. He hated to bring up the fact that he was known as attractive, for he
knew that flattering himself all over again wouldn't do any good after he had
set things alright with Balto.
So Steel was alone for the moment. But Balto didn't
let that bother him. He thought he couldn't really give any advice, since he
wasn't exactly Steel's friend. Plus he had too many things he had to put his
attention to.
Balto was at his boat for the moment, butting his head
together on how he wanted everything to go for the night. He had almost
everything planned, such as times and arrangements, etc. But Balto thought
there were a few last things that he might have to work out. It was only a few
hours before
Balto was walking back and forth on the deck, going through
the plans.
Balto: Ok. So Seph said that he would be here earlier than everyone else to
help me with the plans. Which he should be here shortly. Aleu and Niju are
going to be the latest ones here since they need to arrange baby sitting plans
with Steven for the pups. Kodi and Dusty should be here shortly after
Seph. But how's everythig going to fit in with the beach and the carols?
Everyone's going to be getting here at several different times. Ugh, this
should have been worked out earilier.
Balto was talking as if he were in panic. Boris was watching
as he walked back and forth.
Boris: Balto, you're going to give yourself a heart attack. Calm down.
Balto: I know, I know. It's just, Ugh! This should have been worked out weeks
ago.
Boris: It will be fine. Everyone knows what to do and how to get here and when.
Don't worry about it.
Balto laid down and have in a deep breath.
Balto: Ok, you're right. I'm getting ahead of myself.
Boris: Of course I'm right. When am I every not right.
Balto: Oh, I'm sure I can think of many times you weren't right.
Boris: Oh? Like what?
Balto stood up and walked towards Boris.
Balto: Like the time you thought that faking a broken wing was going to help
you out with Stella.
Boris: That doesn't count. It would have been fine if you tried to shut me beak
before Stella heard what I was saying.
Balto: I did. And besides, if I she hadn't had found out, there would have been
a huge gap between the two of you.
Boris: Oh. You're right.
Balto: Speaking of Stella. What have you got planned with her? Is she coming or
what.
Boris: Oh, yes. She is just, uh... freshening up for me, that's all.
Balto: Oh, I see.
Balto walked towards the side of the boat, and walked down
the plank.
Boris: Wait. Where are you going?
Balto: I'm going to see Jenna. She wanted me to be there for the little
celebration that Rosie's friends are having at her house. She said it was
important.
Boris: Alright. Hey, don't leave me here and end up getting here at sundown.
Balto: I'll be back in a while. Just keep moping.
Boris hated it when Balto did that. Leaving him there to do
all the work. Balto was already half way to town, she there was no point in
giving an argument.
Boris: Boris do this. Boris do that. One of these days I'm not going to have to
be the one to do all of your chores!
Boris knew that Balto couldn't hear him, but he didn't care.
He still had the satisfaction of saying that.
_
When Balto
showed up at Rosie's house, he heard many people talking. There must have been
quiet a few friends over. He knew that he wouldn't be able to pass all of the
strangers inside, so he hopped onto the boxes and barrels, as usual. He quietly
creeped up the side roof towards Rosie's window. He poked his head out
from below, and saw Rosie and her friends playing with Jenna. This made Balto
smile. He loved to see Rosie and Jenna playing. It warmed his heart seeing
Jenna have a good time with her family.
Jenna stopped for a quick second and looked to her left.
There she saw Balto, looking at her with a smile. She smiled back at him. She
turned back to Rosie and her friends. They were still playing, so she thought
that would have distracted them a bit. She then turned back around and walked
towards the open window. Balto put his ears down as he approached, as he always
does.
Jenna: Hey. How is everything?
Balto: Just fine. How bout you?
Jenna: It's going good. There's a big party downstairs. Looks like the humans
are celebrating too.
Balto: Yeah. About that. Can I talk to you for a second?
Jenna: Sure. Hold on, I'll be right out.
Jenna turned around and walked out of the room. Rosie and
her friends followed. Balto turned around and jumped down the barrels and boxes
down to the ground. Jenna was outside shortly after. Rosie and her friends
started to have a snow ball fight as soon as they got out there. Jenna slowly
walked over to Balto.
Jenna: So what did you want to talk about?
Balto: Oh, just making sure everything planned is... well... still planned.
Jenna: Oh, of course. So what is it?
Balto: I'm just having some trouble putting everything together. I see you're
having no worry with it at all.
Jenna: Well, we have everything set up, don't we?
Balto: Yes. It's just things like times and the schedule. Everyone's going to
get here at several different times. And I just don't know how that's going to
fit in with everything.
Jenna: We discussed the times with everyone. Your brother is going to get here
the earliest, Aleu and Niju the latest because of baby sitting arrangements.
Balto: Yeah, I know.
Jenna: So what's got to you? You haven't acted like this when we first set
everything up.
Balto: Oh, I don't know. I guess it's just...
Balto thought about Steel, and the trouble he's going
through. Maybe that was effecting how he took things. He hadn't heard about the
trouble until he had set up all the plans. So that was more than likely the
reason.
Jenna: Balto?
Balto: Maybe it's Steel. He's been having trouble with Princess. I'm not even
his friend all the way yet, but it's just bothering me. I don't know.
Jenna: Maybe it's because in your heart you really feel sorry for him.
Balto: Perhaps you're right. I hadn't been like this until I heard about the
trouble.
Jenna: Than that must be it.
Balto: I suppose so.
Balto took a deep sigh.
Balto: Where's Seph for this kind of stuff when you need him.
Jenna: He's around somewhere. He doesn't exactly go anywhere, you know.
Balto gave Jenna a smile. He loved how she was so smart and
helpful like the way she was. He was so happy to be in love especially on
Christmas.
Balto: Yeah, I know. I'm going to go back home. I'll see you tonight.
Jenna: Alright. See you then. I love you.
Balto came up to Jenna and kissed her, ever so gently.
Balto: I love you too.
They both gave each other a reassuring smile and hugged
passionately.
Balto: Don't forget to freshen up for me, beautiful.
Jenna: Oh, trust me I will, handsome.
They both pulled away and Balto started to walk back home
looking back.
Balto: See you later.
Jenna: You too.
Balto turned back around and started to walk back home
again. As he walked back home, he looked up at the sky.
Balto: Ok, brother. You can get here when ever you want, you know. Right now
would be nice.
The wind started to blow. Balto rolled his eyes.
Balto: Oh, you always do that. C'mon I need your help. Ok, fine I'll see you at
home.
Balto continued to walk home, hoping to see Seph at the boat
when he got there.
_
When Balto got back to the boat, to his surprize, he saw
Seph on the side of the boat, watching him as he walked. It's about time. Balto
thought.
Balto: I was wondering when you were going to get here.
Seph: Oh, you know me by now. I never come exactly when you want me here.
Angels can be fashionably late too.
Balto walked up the plank towads the the deck, where Seph
waited to greet. When he got there, they gave each other a friendly hug.
Seph: Merry Christmas, brother.
Balto: Merry Christmas to you too.
Boris still had the mop in his hand and was on the other
side of the boat.
Boris: It's about time, you lousy goose.
Balto: Look who's talking, Boris. Besides I wouldn't be able to swob the deck.
I don't have free hands like yours.
Boris: Wings! Wings!
Balto: Oh, what ever.
Seph looked at Balto as he turned back around to him. He
noticed that he had a certain look on his face.
Seph: You look troubled, Balto. What is it?
Balto: I need to to talk to you.
_
Balto and
Seph took a walk around the open space towards the forest. Seph was the best
person to talk to about this kind of thing, Balto thought. He always gave good
advice.
Seph: So what has been troubling you, brother?
Balto: Well, you know about Steel.
Seph: Yes. what about him. Is he having trouble?
Balto: Yes. With Princess.
Seph: Ah. A girlfriend of his, right.
Balto: Yes. They got into an argument about feelings. And they split up for a
while. Now, he isn't even really my friend, but I can't help that what he is
going through is bothering me. Before I knew about this, I had everything put
together. But even since I heard about it, I started to worry, alot. Not
exactly about him, but everything else.
Seph: So, you believe that Steel being alone is effecting how you are taking
everything.
Balto: Yes. Exactly. But I don't get it.
Seph: Maybe you really are worried about him more than anything else. You just
don't know it.
Balto: I don't know. I talked to Jenna about it. She said that maybe deep down
I feel sorry for him.
Seph: That's exactly what it is, Balto. You can't get a hold of yourself
because you know someone is having trouble.
Balto: So what do I do?
Seph: You talk to him. Help him with his problems.
Balto: I'm not sure if I can do that. I mean, we aren't enemies any more for
sure, but we haven't really had any friendly conversations yet.
Seph: Then this is your opportunity. Get to know him.
Balto gave a heavy sigh. He didn't really know if talking to
Steel was the best thing to do. What would he say? What would Steel say? It
would be weird for both of them, he thought. But Seph was an angel, so ten
times out of ten, he was always right. The only way Balto was going to set
things right with Steel is if they talk. And what better time to talk than when
one is having trouble.
Balto: How come every time I call for help, you give a solution that involves
me doing something that I don't want to do.
Seph started to laugh.
Seph: You just don't get it, do you brother.
Balto smiled.
Balto: No I guess not.
Seph: Trust me, it will be fine. Just talk to him. You are no longer enemies,
so what can it hurt?
Balto: Perhaps you're right.
Seph: I am.
Seph gave a friendly laugh, to let Balto know he was joking.
Seph: Just be a friend about it, Balto. That's all it takes.
Balto: Thank you... brother.
Seph: You're more than welcome. Now go ahead and take care of your business.
And let me do the other stuff for you.
Balto: Alright. Wish me luck.
Seph: You have all of the luck in the world already. You'll do fine. I'll see
you back at the boat.
Balto: See you then.
Balto knew where to find Steel. He is always in the retired
parts of the town whenever he is not at Princess's master's house. He knew a particular
spot where he would be. The factory.
_
It was about
When Balto came around the corer, he saw the factory not
very far away. Balto took in a deep breath and let it out slowly.
Balto: Here we go.
When Balto approached the factory, the door was cracked open
a little. He could see the orange light coming from inside. He quietly slid his
muzzle through the crack. He could smell Steel, heavily. He then poked his head
all the way through and looked around the room. He saw Steel lying down in the
far corner to the left. He was fast asleep. He looked so peaceful. He didn't
look like the mean, self absorbed dog that teased Balto. He just looked like a
regular dog.
Balto began to slowly and quietly walk inside, with the door
sliding against his side. He then walked up to Steel as he slept. He could hear
his steady breaths going in and out.
When Balto got about half way to Steel, his eyes opened. Oh,
no. He thought. I woke him up. Steel rose his head tiredly and
looked at who was standing a few feet in front of him. His vision cleared
quickly, and he saw that it was Balto.
Steel: Balto?
Balto: Hello, Steel.
What is he doing here? Steel asked himself.
Balto: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you. Perhaps I should be going.
Steel: No. It's alright.
Steel stood up then yawned and stretched.
Steel: What is it?
Balto: I need to talk to you.
Steel: You do?
Balto: Yeah.
Balto had never wanted to
talk to Steel willingly. This surprised Steel.
Balto: I heard that you have been having some trouble with, um... Princess.
Steel really didn't want to talk about Princess at the
moment. But maybe this was his only opportunity to really set things right with
Balto.
Steel: Yeah. We got into an argument.
Balto: I heard.
Steel: Well, we’re just taking a break.
Balto: What happened?
Steel: She assumed that I still like Jenna. And I told her that I would never do something like that to her. She knows me.
Steel started to talk in an angry tone.
Balto: Why did she think you still liked Jenna?
Steel: She saw me talking with her. She wasn’t with you at the time and I didn’t feel like getting you. I’m sorry, Balto.
Balto: It’s alright. What did you talk to her about?
Steel: I wanted to apologize to her about being a jerk and being mean to you.
Wow. Balto thought. He really wanted to apologize?
Steel: Princess saw me talking with her and she thought I
still liked her.
Balto: Well, this may sound weird, but ever since I heard that you have been
having trouble with her, I kept loosing it. I wasn't able to keep myself calm
or unworried. Maybe it's because of knowing that someone is alone on Christmas.
Steel: Really?
Balto: Yeah. Maybe you should apologize.
Steel: I’m not apologizing to her. I tried to tell her that I liked her and not Jenna, but she wouldn’t listen. I didn’t do anything wrong. So why apologize.
Steel turned around and laid down, lying his head on his paws. Balto realized that Steel didn’t really have anything to apologize for, but maybe he should talk to her, and let her know how much she means to him.
Balto: Well, maybe you haven’t done anything wrong, Steel. But maybe you should talk to her.
Steel: About what.
Balto: How you feel about her.
Steel: She knows how I feel about her.
Balto: Do you love her?
Steel knew he loved Princess, more than anything else in the world. But did he have the strength to say it? There was a long pause, and then Steel finally spoke.
Steel: Yes… Yes, I do.
Balto: Have you told her that.
Steel never did tell Princess that he loved her. And he was a bit ashamed of it.
Steel: No. I haven’t
Balto: Then tell her that. Tell her how much she means to you.
Steel: I don’t know.
Steel didn’t think that it was going to help any, but maybe Balto was right. Maybe what she needed was to know that he loved her.
Balto: I need to go. Just think about it steel. Think about what I said.
Balto then turned around and started to walk to the door. Steel thought about it. He did love Princess, very much. Was that what was missing? He was too tired to worry about it now. So he closed his eyes, and tried to go back to sleep.
_
The moon
was shining high above
Balto: You look absolutely beautiful.
Jenna: Oh, Balto. Thank you. You don’t look too bad yourself.
Balto: But not as good as you.
Jenna: Oh, you’re so sweet.
Balto stepped forward and gave his lover a passionate kiss, and then hugged her. As they hugged, Balto saw Aleu, Niju and the clan arrive over Jenna’s shoulder. Jenna saw who was coming and stepped aside to let Balto go to his daughter.
Balto: Aleu, you made it.
Balto walked down the plank to his daughter on the ground.
Aleu: Of course I did, Papa. I wouldn’t miss this for the world.
Balto came over to Aleu and gave her a hug. It was good to see her.
Aleu: Merry Christmas, Papa.
Balto: Merry Christmas, Aleu.
Balto saw that Niju was standing right next to Aleu. He had a smile on his face.
Niju: It’s good to see you, Balto. Merry Christmas.
Balto: Merry Christmas, Niju.
Niju stood aside and let his sister greet Balto. October walked over to Balto, happily.
October: Merry Christmas, Balto.
Balto: Merry Christmas.
Balto then turned around and looked at his brother who was standing on the side of the boat, looking down at October.
Balto: He’s waiting for you.
October rushed onto the boat and greeted Seph with a hug and a kiss. Balto loved to see his family happy. And know was the night to have the time of his life with them.
Balto: Alright, everyone. Let’s get on board.
Balto then guided everyone onto the boat. It was time for the carols.
_
Everyone was sitting in a crowd on the lower side of the boat. They girls were going to sing the first carol. Jenna, Aleu, Dusty and October lined up in front of the crowd to sing “O Holy Night”.
Listen to “O Holy Night”. Here’s the link for the specific
song and video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZ-8jYpa1-o
It was beautiful. Their voices sounded angelic. Everyone was touched to the heart by the song. Niju was so happy to have fallen in love with such a beautiful, talented singer. Balto was so proud of Aleu and so amazed by Jenna’s voice. Kodi loved to hear Dusty sing. She was the perfect singer, he thought. And Seph shed a tear, hearing his love sing the words in Jesus name. Everyone loved it. They howled when they finished, since they couldn’t clap. They bowed and moved to the side for what was coming.
Seph then stood up and faced the crowd.
Seph: Hello, everyone. You’re probably wondering what I’m doing up here. I just may be asking myself the same thing.
Everyone laughed slightly at Seph’s humor. Then got quiet really quick, knowing that he was going to sing.
Seph: I am going to sing a song for all of us tonight. Just to show everyone how special this night is, and how tomorrow will also be a very special day to us all. You may join me if you wish, don’t be shy.
Then, Seph began to sing “Silent Night”. The girls stood standing for his help.
Listen to “Silent Night”. Here’s the link for the particular song and video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b79sMJjYwW0
As Seph allowed, all who were able, sung along. And October stayed next to him the whole time. She also liked hearing his angelic voice. This is going to be the greatest night ever. She thought. And it was.
_
Everyone
had just return from the
Balto: Thank you all for coming. I hope you all had a wonderful night.
They all did. Every single one of them thanked him. This night had meant so much to Balto. This is the first night he had spent a holiday with his family, and it was said to be the best.
Seph had to be on his way. He couldn’t stay the whole night. Plus, there was still a celebration he had to be in Heaven for.
Seph: I have to leave, brother. Thank you for a great night.
Balto: Thank you for coming, Seph. I’m glad you had a good time.
Seph: I had the time of my life. I wish I could stay, but you know how it is. Plus I don’t want to miss the celebration.
Balto: What celebration?
Seph: Our savior’s birth day, of course.
Balto: Oh, yes. Of course.
Seph: But before I leave there is some last minute business I need to take care of.
Balto: What kind of business?
Seph gave a slight laugh.
Seph: You’ll see. Well, let’s just say after tonight, you will stop worrying.
Balto: Oh, alright. Well, I definately hope to see you again soon.
Seph: And I’m sure you will. Merry Christmas, brother.
Balto: Merry Christmas to you too… brother.
Seph then stepped forward, and have his brother a hug. It was so nice for him to spend time with his family, although he couldn’t always see them. It made him more than happy. Balto had an idea what kind of business his brother was talking about, but he had a feeling that was exactly what it was.
Seph walked over to October, talking to Niju.
Seph: I have to go, October. Tomorrow is the Lord’s birthday, and I can’t miss it.
October: Oh, but we’ve only spent a couple of hours together.
October leaned into her lover’s arms and started to tear.
Seph: I know. Don’t cry. We will se each other again soon, very soon.
Seph held October and gave her a passionate kiss.
Seph: I promise you.
October: I love you.
Seph: I love you too, darling.
Seph gave October another kiss, then bid everyone farewell. He began to walk towards the far left corner of the town, in the direction of the factory. Jenna walked up to Balto to his from behind and stood next to him.
Jenna: Where’s he going.
Balto: Oh, he’s just taking care of some business for me.
Jenna: Well, that’s nice of him.
Balto: Well, he’s a nice brother.
Jenna: Then I guess you’re lucky to have him.
Balto: Yeah. I guess so.
_
Steel was still trying to sleep ever since Balto had come to visit him. Though, he hadn’t been getting good sleep. He had been waking up almost every twenty minutes ever since Balto left. The same thing was happening to him as it did Balto. He had the thought of something he had to do in his mind, and that kept him from being calm. Steel wasn’t very aware of this. He just thought it was a coincidence, but he also had Princess stuck in his head. Maybe, I should talk to Princess, he thought. He missed her. And the feeling of not being with her; made him feel like he wasn’t complete, as if he were still the mean Steel that he was. But only he was able to fix that.
Steel had woken up again in the middle of the cold night. He could feel the cold wind rushing through his fur, for the door was open. It disturbed him.
Steel: Oh, what now?
If it was this cold in a room with an oven, than someone must have come inside, he thought.
Steel: Ok. Look, Balto. I don’t feel like talking right now, so just let me get some sle-
As he opened his eyes, he saw a tall grey wolf standing right in front of him. It looked like Balto. But it couldn’t have been. Balto didn’t have grey and white fur, and he didn’t wear a silver cross around his neck.
Seph: Hello, Steel.
And he didn’t sound like Balto either. It definitely wasn’t him. But how did this wolf know his name.
Steel: Who are you; the ghost of Christmas past or something?
Steel began to slightly laugh at his own joke. Seph had to crack a smile too. It was funny.
Seph: Very funny, Steel.
Steel got up and started to walk the other way.
Steel: I don’t feel like talking right now. I’ve already talked to someone about my problems.
Seph: Balto, I suppose.
Steel had to look up. How did this wolf know about Balto?
Seph: Why are you alone?
Steel: Because I want to be.
Seph: Don’t you have a family to be with.
Steel: No. I don’t have a family.
Seph: I suppose Princess is the only family you have, am I right?
No Steel was getting frustrated. How did he know about Princess? How does he know Balto? Steel turned around and faced the wolf.
Steel: Alright. Who are you? How do you know my name? And how do you know about princess.
Seph: My name is Sephera. But you can call me Seph.
Steel: Seph?
Seph: Come take a walk with me Steel. I want to show you something.
The wolf began to walk to the door without stopping. Steel couldn’t believe that this wolf actually expected him to follow him.
Steel: Well. I got nothing else better to do.
Steel followed the wolf to the side of town. Who was this Seph? What did he want? Did he know Balto? Did he know Princess? She had never mentioned a wolf named Seph before. Where was this going?
The wolf had stopped in front of a bright lit window on the side of a small house. He was peering strait into the window. Steel came over and stood next to him and looked into the window. It was Jenna. She was playing wither her human, Rosie. Hey also saw Balto, also playing with Rosie. They looked so happy together. Steel had never really known what it was like to have a real home, with real masters, and… and real family.
Seph: Who is that, Steel?
Steel peered deeply into the glass.
Steel: That’s Jenna… and Rosie… and Balto.
Seph: You know them?
Steel: …Yes.
Seph: Look how happy they are, Steel.
Steel saw the two of them playing together. They did look very happy together.
Seph: See how they have each other?
Steel looked closely into what he saw in through the window. Jenna had stumbled over Balto while he was resting. She fell over him and they both laughed. Then Jenna laid on top of Balto and nuzzled him, and he nuzzled back. For once, Steel felt good seeing the two of them together. He knew that he would never be able to make Jenna as happy as Balto did. He was happy for them.
Steel: Yeah.
Seph started to walk to the right towards the others houses.
Seph: Come over here, Steel.
Steel followed him around the corner about two blocks away from Rosie’s house. Seph stopped at the window next to the back door. The light was a bit dimmer than the other. But when Steel saw what what was on the other side of the window, he almost stopped breathing.
He saw Princess lying down on a couch in a second family room in the house. She was curled up with her eyes closed near the fire. She looked so beautiful, Steel thought. What had he done? He had thrown away a perfect girl. Steel didn’t remember the hard times when he saw Princess, but the good times. When they used to run on the beach, and lay in the fields of grass together. They had the time of their lives when they were together. But know, Steel felt empty, knowing that he had never told her that he loved her.
Seph: Look at her, Steel. She is alone.
Steel hated to see Princess as lonesome as she looked through the window.
Seph: You two are the happiest that you have ever been when you are with each other.
All the memories that Steel had with Princess began to roll in his head again and again. He wanted so badly just to walk in that room and lay with her, and tell her how much he cared, and how much he loved her.
Seph: Go to her, Steel. She needs you. No one should be alone on Christmas.
The wolf was right. Princess needed him more than ever. It was Christmas Eve. And he was right. No one should be alone on Christmas; no one.
Steel began to walk to the door. It was unlocked, so he pushed it open. And there she lay. Boy, she looks beautiful, he thought. He could see her side moving slowly up and down from her breathing ever so gently. He started to quietly approach her. He got more and more nervous as he got closer and closer to her. He finally reached the end of the couch. He lightly jumped onto the cushion and walked towards his lover. He the then stood above her. He could see the smooth patterns of her fur, he was so close. He then lowered himself and laid down. He could feel her breath on him. He hoped that he wasn’t too close, that he wouldn’t scare her.
Then, he saw he eyes slowly starting to open. Shortly, they were fully open. She had gorgeous eyes. The brown color softly faded into the black nicely. She looked up to see Steel laying over top of her. He had his ears down, and he was looking strait into her eyes.
Princess: Steel?
Steel began to lean in closer to her face.
Princess: Steel, what’s wrong?
Steel: I love you.
Princess was speechless. She really didn’t know what to say.
Steel: I love you so much, Princess.
Princess looked deeply into his eyes. They were filled with sorrow and sincerity. He had meant it with all of his heart. He truly loved her.
Princess: Oh, Steel.
Steel lowered his head in front of her. Princess then held his head gently against her chest and laid her head on top of his.
Princess: I love you too.
After a few minutes, Steel raised his head back up, and Princess kept her paws holding his shoulders. She formed a beautiful smile on that angelic face of hers. Steel closed his eyes half way and gave her a smile. Then Princess slowly pulled him down as she came up, and kissed him. Steel gladly kissed back. They were together again. And they were no longer alone.

Seph stood ten feet away from the window in the field. He watched as Steel and Princess kissed and made up. His job was done for now. He was so proud of himself… but not too proud.
Seph then turned away with a smile and began to slowly walk into the open field. And as he got farther into the field, he began to shine with a white light, and as he got farther and farther, the light took him as he became part of the large star in the sky, which was almost as bright to call it the star of Bethlehem as he joined the light.
Have a Happy Christmas
