Nera felt like her head was about to explode from over excesive thinking.

"Feru........." She thought to herself. "It's strange.......but.......I feel like i've heard thar name before........but where?"

"Nera?"

She swung her head around to see Kodi. "Oh,hey!"

"Man,I haven't seen you in weeks. What's been going on?"

"Oh. You haven't heard? I have boyfriend."

"Congrats! Who is he?"

"His name is Race."

Kodi's mouth dropped when he heard her mention that name. "Race?"

"Mm-hmm."

Kodi laughed nervously. "Um......does this Race have.......A blond coat with black eyes and happens to be in A sled dog team,where he is the fastest of them all?"

"That's right."

Kodi yelled out A short scream as he jumped back.

"Kodi,what's wrong?

"Nera,.......how can you be mates with HIM?"

"Because he loves me. Duh."

Kodi shook his head,worriedly. "Nera,you need to break up with him as soon as possible."

"What?"

"Race is nothing,but A womanizer! He may act sweet and gentle on the outside,but he just uses that to lure female dogs into loving him."

Nera paused for A moment,but then just broke out into laughter. "That's A good one,Kodi."

"I'm serious!" Kodi said as his expression turned. "Race used to date one of my sisters. He said that he loved her and always wanted to be with her,but as soon as he saw another female that was prettier than her,he dumped her!"

Nera couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Kodi continued. "She was so hurt by that rejection,she cried for 3 days straight. Even to this day when she hears his name,she cries. Do you want that to happen to you?"

Nera started to become annoyed. "Kodi,don't make stuff up about others that isn't true!"

She started to walk away,but Kodi circled in front of her. "I'm not making this up,Nera! I'm telling you the truth!"

"Race is to kind to be what you said!" She pushed him aside,but he circled in front of her again.

"Nera! You have to believe me! When have I ever steered you wrong?"

"Kodi,just get out of my way!"

"No!"

"Kodi!!"

"Nera,you have to break up with him!! I don't want to see you get hurt!!"

"It's none of your business!!!"

"Nera!!!"

"THAT'S IT!!!" She swiped her claws against his face in A harsh rage. "YOU'RE LYING!!! RACE WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO ME!!! YOUR JUST A JERK!!!!"  She ran away as fast as she could away from him.

Kodi felt the scratch marks on his cheek. "Nera.........."

"He's wrong!" Nera thought as she sat in her bedroom 4 hours later. "Why would Kodi lie to me about that?! There's no way that could be true!!"

She took A deep breath and exhaled. "I'm so confused."

She layed her head down on Haret's bed,closed her eyes,and went to sleep.

3 hours later into the night,Nera was awoken by A tapping sound on the window.

She opened her eyes to see Race outside. He signaled for her to come out and meet him. She happily did so.

When she got outside,Race tried to nuzzle her,but she held her head back in refusion.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Um.......Race,........can I ask you........A personal question?"

"Sure."

Nera couldn't find the words to ask,so she just blurted out,"Are you A womanizer?!"

Race gasped. "N....No. Wh.....where'd you get an idea like that?"

Nera sighed of relief. "Just from one of my friends. He said that you were A user and was just wondering if it was true or not."

"Nera,i'm not like that. You're the only one I care about. I love you and I always want to be with you."

Nera felt worried for A second. Those were the same exact words he had said to Kodi's sister. But,she just thought that she was being paranoid.  "So,why'd you come here?"

"I was thinking since i'm busy with practice and all,we could go on dates at night."

"That Great! So,where do you want to go?"

"The beach. I have special plans for us."

"Cool. Let's go."

They raced to their destination at light speed.

When they got there,they sat beside one another as the stars glistened.

"This is just like our first date." Nera said.

"Yeah." Race agreed. 'So,......Nera,.......how do you feel about......you know......doing it?"

"Doing what?"

"You know,.........doing it."

"I don't understand."

"You know,...like....when two dogs really love each other,....they.....you know...."

"I still don't get it."

"GAH!! YOU STUPID BIMBO!!!" Race grabbed her and forcibly pushed her on the ground.

"Race,what are you doing?"

"Shut up!! I waited long enough!! I can't take it anymore!!"

"What are you talk...."

"Your friend was right! I am A user."

Nera couldn't believe her ears. "What?"

"I only took intrest in you because I wanted your body. I never liked you for what's on the inside! I liked you for what's on the outside." He licked his lips as if he was about to gorge on her flesh.

"Wha.....what?" She said in A whisper. "But,.....I thought you loved me....."

Race laughed hysterically. "In love?! With A stupid,bimbo?! Ha! You're more dumb than I thought!!"

Nera was devistated at what was happening. Kodi was right all along and she didn't listen to A word he said. And now she was going to pay for it.

"Now just hold still and don't even think about calling for help! It'll be over before you know it." Race pressed his body against Nera as she closed her eyes,hoping she would just die right there and now.

Then,to her surprise,she heard Race scream in pain as he landed in the waves of the ocean.

She opened her eyes and saw A familiar black coated dog staring at Race with anger. "Feru!!"

Race shook himself dry. "Who the heck are you?!"

"That's not important!! How dare you try to pull something like that with Nera!!!!"

"It's none of your business what I do with her! SHE'S MINE!!!"

"That's not true!!" Nera yelled as she stood to her feet. "I don't belong to you. I never did! At first,I didn't believe what I heard about you,but now I see it was true!!" She shook her head. "Race,.............We're through!!"

Race was shocked for A second,but then started to chuckle evilly. "No. Heh,heh. No,no,no,no,no. You see,.......i'm the one who decides whether this relationship ends and I say.....it's not over!!"

He crept closer to her as she backed away in fear.

"You're my girlfriend until I say otherwise. Like I said before:You...........belong...........to ME!!"

Race snarled and lunged at her,but Feru tackled him aside.

"Get out of here,Nera! It's too dangerous!!"

"SHE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE!! YOU,ON THE OTHER HAND,ARE GOING TO HELL!!!!!!!!"

He tackled Race and started biting him fiercely as some of his fur started to tear off.

Feru retaliated by slashing his left eye,which left A scar.

Race growled bit Feru's neck as hard as he could. Feru yelped in pain.

"Race,stop it!! Don't kill him!! Please!!"

"You want him to stay alive?!!" Race grinned. "Then,let me have you and i'll release him!!"

Nera saw Feru suffering and noticed A tear was running down his face.

That convinced her. "Okay. I agree."

Race smirked and tossed Feru aside. "Glad to see you finally cooperate!"

"Just get over with." Nera sadly said.

Race pinned her down gently and re-pressed his body like he did before.

Nera flinched as she felt pressure,but the pressure was gone when Feru tackled Race again.

"WHAT?! You can still fight?!!"

Feru breathed heavily. "I won't.......let you.......hurt her......I'll do anything........to prevent you from USING HER!!!"

He leapt on to Race and they fought wildly. So wildly,that words can't even explain how wild it was.

Nera stared at the two dogs as they fought. "Why?" She thought. "Why did I have to be so gullible to let Race fool me like that?..........If only I was smarter,this whole situation could've been avoided."

Her thought were interupted by A yelp from Race as Feru squeezed his neck with his teeth.

"Feru,don't!!"

Feru stared at Nera and saw her innocent eyes. He closed his eyes and tossed Race into the ocean as hard as he could. A huge wave picked up and Race was washed away into the sea.

Soon after,Feru collapsed to the ground. Nera rushed to his aid.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah." He grunted in pain as she helped him stand up. "You're not hurt......are you?"

Nera shook her head. "I'm fine. Your the one who was hurt."

At that moment,Nera felt tears forming in her eyes.

"What's the matter?" Feru noticed.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For getting you into this. It's my fault that I was too stupid to realize that Race was A liar and A jerk! I always have A clouded mind and I can never stop thinking about why i'm here. I thought Race was the solution to that problem,but......now I realize I was just desperate."

She sobbed quietly to herself as her tears landed at her feet.

"It's not your fault." Feru said. "Don't be so hard on yourself."

"But,look at yourself!! Your covered in scars and bruises!! All of your pain is because of me! I don't understand why you want to make me feel better."

Feru sighed. "Because unlike some people,........I don't hold grudges."

"But,still......" Nera tried to say.

Feru brushed his nose against her cheek. "Shhh. It's okay."

The two sat under the moon as it's light shined upon them.
