Two years since that Gwen was thinking of that night with Kuro.

 All of them have grown. Duncan is now the strongest hunter in the pack! Kuro has grown stronger too! Gwen is now leader of the hunting squad in the pack!

Gwen was bigger than before and her feature of her curved  but slightly strong body made her attractive now. Her her eyes have darken and so as her fur has changed on color alittle.   

 Duncan was popular now! His yellow fur turnd brown he has a more handsome complex to his face now. He like it but never forgotten his REAL friends.

Kuro has grown taller. His fur got purple markings now like his father. Out of all the females that wanted him he desided to go with Carmen.

 Gwen has been asked out alot latly but she turned them down because they were either the same jerks who use to pick on her or she was just not interested.

Kuro has always been busy but never like this. Before he used to at least sat"Hi" to the others but he tries so hard know he barely sees anybody not even Carmen.

Gwen was walking to the river after training with her brother when she saw Carmen pacing back and forth very angery! " How dare he! late for another date!"

 "Carmen.. he's second in command now and possible future Alpha! He's in alot of stress!" said Gwen. "That's no excuse! He could at least tell me before he makes me wait for him all night!" she said waking away.

Gwen shook her headbut admit that he could at least cancel the date. She continued to river.

 Kuro was checking the pack for the third time. "I'm gonna go insane!" he thought. He knew it was important to see to the well-being of the pack but he felt so overwelmed! Carmen keeps nagging him to take her out which didn't help his situation.The elders put more pressure on him since the alpha is getting older. Winter is coming soon. And Gwen is......

 He shook his head. "Gwen!?" he thought. Why was he thinking of her? Stress! That could be the only logical explaination.

 He ran to the elders who was under a oak tree meditating. He bowed and said "Elders please! Forgive me for intruding but I request a word!" he said respectfully. One pair of eyes looked at him.

"What do you want young one?" the oldest elder spoke. Kuro raised his head. " May I take a slight break from protroling the pack?" The elders eyes were locked on him. "When you're a leader you won't have time for breaks you have to give ALL your time to the pack! You- ". " He's still young" The female elder said to them. "His time will come soon enough. Let him enjoy his youth!" she said.

 The other elders agreed too. He sighed and said "Alright! But not to long!" "Thank you my lords!" he said then ran at full speed to the forest! "Kids.." the elders went back to meditating.

Kuro never felt this free in a while! No pack! No Carmen! Just him. He ran until his legs felt like water. Water! He thought he get a drink from all that runing.

 He was getting close to the river. Then he heard a voice. He walked to the voice and saw a wolf howling. he listin to the words.

 "At first I didn't think you knew I was even alive. Even since that day my heart was your's. Your warm embrace shelters me from anything. Like gravity your eyes pulled me towards you. Staring at you alone makes my body feels like ice, frozen. I gazed at you I'll blindly follow. Don't you see my love? can't you see that everytime you come close to me my heart beats like huge drums? Your soft kisses melt my heart. You kiss my cheek a tourch lights in my spirit. I'm dying to see you! I sing to the moon my passion and my sorrow. I see your face in my dreams. I can talk to you even touch you but like a shadow you fade into the night. When I wake I feel sad that it was just a dream again. Even if you don't return my feelings I want you to know every feeling that's stering inside of me......Will I ever see you again my soulmate or......"

 The female wolf stopped. Kuro was slightly sad. He liked her singing. 

Gwen stopped on a clif to see the peacfully still river and the wind brush against her fur. As she saw the full moon rise she couldn't help but sing. This was her sanctuary!

 But as soon as she was about to finish her mother's song she saw a wolf on the end by the river. She was embarrassed.She slowly turn and ran away "wait!" the voiced cried but she was too far away. 

 Kuro.

He tried to get closer to the female but but she started to run "Wait!" he said but it was too late. He sighed. "I'll find her one day." he said as he went to the river for a drink.

Gwen returned to pack and saw Carmen flirting with Duncan! She knew that Duncan was not interested in her,dispite the fact the she was pretty,but why was Carmen around him?

 Gwen ran up to her brother and Carmen."Excuse me am I interupting something?" she said. Duncan was silent for a while. "Nope! Just business." said Carmen as she walked away.

Gwen looked at Duncan and said "What's wrong? What did she want?" He sighed and said "she told me she wanted some company. I knew that wasn't true because she doesn't even like me. so when I asked her what did she really want she said that-

" Gwen! may we have a word with you?" one of the elders spoke to her. " Go on I'll talk to you later, sis." said Duncan as he walked towards his friends.

 She went with the elders until they were alone. "I need to tell something  important about Kuro." Her heart started to thump. "Why him?" she asked. "As you know he will become the next leader of this pack and Carmen hopefully can be his mate. If he had children they would be nice and strong." he said to her.          

  The question that popped up in her mind was "Can't they choose from themselves?" "I want to make sure everything is fine for the transfer of leadership tomarrow." He said.

 " TOMARROW? Don't you think your rushing it ..uh.. sir?!" she said. "We have no time to waste young one. Winter is already here and we need a leader not a child!" "So why chose me?" She asked him.

 "Because dispite his popularity you're the one he ever even speaks to. Maby a word from you might make him think about his life. I'm done talking. Carry on." he walked slowly away from Gwen.

 "OOOOHHH!!!" she scream. She wasn't going to get any sleep here so she told Duncan that she went back to the river.

 Kuro never came back from the river because he knew theat if he did it would be nothing but work..work.. and more work!

 He took a nice nap be fore he heared a twig snap! It was here again! "I'm not gonna lose her this time!" he said.

Gwen laid down to a nice meadow. The river was next to it. "Mabey I can nap for a-" "I finally found you!" Gwen jumped at the voice. She was about to  run again but Kuro stepped in front of her. "Wait I just want to know...Gwen?!" Kuro shouted.

 "Nice to see you too Kuro.." Said Gwen annoyed. "You mean that was you singing?" Kuro asked. She nodded. "Whoa!" he said "Look you can make fun of me later..."said Gwen. "but I wasn't. It was pretty good. I liked it alot!" he said.

 Gwen was blushing for the first time in a while! "uh...It was a song that my mom use sing before I fell asleep when I was a pup." she explained. "Really?" he said in a low tone as he stared deeply at her eyes.

 "Uh..there's something I need to talk to you about Kuro." "Oh?" he said. "Yeah!the eleders want to make sure yor ready for the leadership of the pack and en..engagment with Carmen tomarrow."she said. "WHAT?! Tomarrow?why so soon . And I don't even like Carmen THAT much!" he shouted.

"You don't?" Gwen asked. "No...I mean she's pretty but not really my type. and besides..."Kuro paused. "Besides what?"she asked.

 "I'm kind of in love with someone else...." He said "RRReally?Who?" "Uh..Um...."he blushed.  "Its the wolf standing in front of me." he said. "ME?! Why me? I mean I know you didn't exactly hate when we were little but..."  "I know! Its weird but.."

He got closer to her."But the heart never lies" he kissed her.

Gwen looked at him as he kissed her.she was shocked  but later gave in to his kiss. But something made Gwen break the kiss. For some reason she ran left Kuro alone.

    When the whole pack was asleep Gwen got up and walked to Kuro and say sorry for leaving him. He was on a hill overseeing the packs' land. Kuro was wide awake. "Kuro?" he turned around.  

"I'm..um sorry for runing ot on you.I was just-" "Nervous?" "Yeah..when you told me that you loved me I was scared but-" "happy at the same time. You were breathless and your heart was pounding." he cut her off. She nodded.

 He came closer to and like he did two years ago he wrapped his tail around her and pulled her in. He felt her body shudder at his touch. Her breathing got heavier. He squeezed her a little then she started to moan as he kisses her throat. 

Gwen came closer to him and put her paw on his strong built chest. She felt his muscles relax as she moved her paw.They both laid beside each other and fell asleep.

 A love so strong but not allowed in the packs' law.
