Kates POV(point of view)

The summer air blew threw my bay hair. The moon seemed so close yet so far from my reach. I looked up at the Midnight sky in awe at Aurora Borealis,The northern lights. Why tonight? Why'd I have to leave this magnifecant place?

My Mother Matsuko Satoshi padded up to me an licked my cheek. I smiled warmly. I gave the huge wolf a tight hug. She wrapped her leg around my back as if giving me a hug in return. A tear found its way out and on to my cheek. I wiped it away. Matsuko backed away and looked me over. I was at war with my emotions trying my best to keep tears at bay and trying to keep a smile on my face.

(Explanation)

Myself,I'm human. But when I was 8 my parents died right in front of me. Though at the time I thought it was from Diptherea. But in reality a wanted wolf named Akchrome had killed them. In fear that I might've been next I fled to the town's park. I sat under the huge oak tree and cried for hours. I stooped and saw a huge gray wolf with tons of scars covering the entire left side of his body. I rode on the back of that wolf to his pack. The male wolfs name was Galent and he was the elder brother to Matsuko satoshi . And just like that Matsuko took be in as her own pup.

But I was'nt treated like a human but A wolf. I learned to hunt,kill,fight, and run and jump to the ability of a wolf. I Already knew how to make a fire and that was great considering i had to cook my food before eating it. It also helped during the winter months. I had developed fang like canines from eating meat .  I had also managed to get a part time job at the butchers sweeping and makeing delvieries when I was 10. With the money I earned I bought a toothbrush and toothpaste so my teeth wouldent rott. I also had money left over for school and clothes.

But now at the age of 15 which is 2 in wolf years I had become the age were I had to leave the pack. Though I did'nt really have to,being the alpha's adopted daughter and all. But the packs size was pushing 90+ wolfs and I felt like a burden.

Now you may be thinking how I know the names of the wolves. Well there is a rare genetic mutation called Bayne*. Matsuko,Galent,Kaji and most of the pack are pureblood Baynes. The Bayne gene makes the wolf larger and stronger than other wolves. When a human is bitten by a Bayne it causes the victim to understand the speach,feelings and thoughts of canines and lupines*. But it is rare for the genetic mutation was started by the white wolf Aniu.

(* Baynes are my breed. I know their not allowed but it revised it into somthing more acceptable. please just repect it for now for it is neccesary for the story)

(Canine is the scientific term used for dogs and Lupine is the scientific term for wolves.)

Matsuko Howled and a small fox ran out with a necklace that was enblazened with two magnificent gemstones. I bent down and let the fox put it on me. I brought my head back up to see Matsuko and Kaji my wolf mom and dad bowing to me as the rest of the pack followed their alphas actions I stood and bowed to them.

I lifted my hands to see a symbol glowing in bright blood red that was on the top of both of my wrists. The necklace which origanally was long was now a collar on me the two gems in the middle. A red and a black gem.

Matsuko walked up to me, and somthing insane happened.

"My dear how you've grown over these 7 years." She said. I nearly had a heart attack." Wait mom I can understand you!" I squeaked

I heard a deep chuckle from behind me it was Kaji my wolf father." Sayuki My pup that is the power of the Okami Kubiwa The Wolf necklace." he said " Who's Sayuki?" I questioned.

"Come with me dear Kaji,Galent,Venice and I will explain back at the den." Said Matsuko.

I followed them back to the den. As I was walking I looked at the tops of my wrists seeing the tatoo like markings. The left side was Blood red and the right was black. My attention was caught when I nearly tripped.

At the den I went to my usual spot in the back with my wolf family sitting infront of me.

" Can you please explain now?" I asked." A long time ago a white wolf named Aniu ruled these lands. She had unimaginable magic ability. She controlled the largest wolf pack in all of Alaskan history containing more than 200+ wolves. She fell in love with a purebred male husky named Champ. The had pups and the result was a tundra wolf siberian husky mix. Her pack lost faith in her descions after she gave birth to the mixblooded tragedy. Two pups survived through the winter. A female named Aurora and a male named Balto." Said Matsuko

"What does this have to do with me?" I asked as it felt like the conversation as running of the tracks.

"Patience!" Scolded my mentor and wolf uncle Venice. I knew Venices past and history so I listened.

"Continue cousin." sighed Venice

" Okay,"said Matsuko. " Well after the birth of the pups a large majority of the pack had left but about 30 stayed. Sadly while on a hunting trip a hunter had shot Champ and in greif Aniu did'nt eat or drink . She got very weak but then the last 5 days of her life a different animal presented itself to her. The first a Large Brown bear, the bear bit her on the leg. The second a Fox,The fox tricked her into eating a hot pepper makeing her very dehydrated. The third a wolverine who tormented her about how she could die. The fourth a Big Raven. The raven stuck by her till she passed. The night before her death the raven pestered her to try to get up. When Aniu stared into the Ravens red eyes a mystical connection was made. Exhuasted aniu passed out. She had an incredible dream not knowing that this was the furture. The fifth day she had found the strength to walk. She walked around her territory and found a caribou carcass she ate it but unfortunatly die shortly after."

"Okay but I still don't understand how Aniu has a connection to me?" I said. I caught a angry stare from Venice.

"Hold your tounge pup!" Snapped Venice."Knock it off!" Growled Galent.

"Ahem." Kaji cleared his throat." After Aniu passed the 30 wolves left from her pack split up. 10 went to the mountians. 10 went to the southern forest. and the last 10 went to the forest near Nome. Those 3 seprate packs evolved into the Bearclaw,Altics and the razorwind Mafia."

"Okay." I said trying to sort everything out in my head.

" The Altics live in the mountian north east of us. Their alpha is named Talesmin a red wolf." Said Matsuko

"The bearclaw live east of us and they have bears in their pack as if ther wolves. The leader is a rough looking male named Diego."Said Galent

"And of course Matsuko and I are the alphas of Razorwind Mafia." Said Kaji

"Ok now can you answer some of my questions?" I asked

"Sure! shoot sport." Smiled Galent as he ruffled my long hair.

" Well why'd you call me Sayuki?" I asked

" Every member of Razor wind earns speacial names as they climb the ranks and get older." Said Matsuko

" you my dear are as assasin rank you have 4 names. Kate Ancon. Which is your human birth name. Sayen Satoshi your pack name that Kaji and I gave you. Sayuki which is you assasin name. And your formal name Kanetsu which means to heat up."

"Okay thank you for ansering me." I said.

Matsuko gave me a warm smile. She turned to Galent" Brother go and scout out town in your human form."

" Yes sister." Said Galent before bowing and transforming to human. he had the same tattoo markings i did. in his human for Galent was 6'3", had black hair blue eyes. His scars were in the same places. He wore a t-shirt a black collar like me but the gems were different his were purple and aqua. He wore a black jacket over the t-shirt ,blue jeans and sneakers. I thought of another question as soon as he left.

" Mom Galent has the same markings on his wrists as I whats with that?" I asked

" Galent is a Bayne. Remember when you first met him he bit you lightly and you caught frieght and ran?" Asked mom

"Yes."

" He injected the bayne gene into you. You are a Bayne too." Said mom

" Whats that mean?" It means you have the ability to understand wolf and dog speach, you can howl for us and turn into a wolf when ever you wish and always turn back." Said my mom.

Mom walked up to me and pushed my hand up to my neck with her muzzle.

" Remember the poem to taught you when you were little?" asked mom

"yes."

" Keep your hand over the gems and recite it." Said my mom Matsuko

I took a hesitant breath " Aka ame, kuroi kage,shiroi yuki,aoi hana."

The japanese poem ment red rain, black shadows, white snow, blue flowers.

A Red aura formed around me, but I was calm. I opened my eyes and I saw that I was in the form of a brown and black she-wolf.

This was my Bayne wolf form.

To transform back all I had to do was recite the poem backwards." Hana aoi,yuki shiroi, kage kuroi, ame aka"

I was human again.

When Galent Came back we set of towards town. I gathered my things and Ran with the pack. Half an hour later I was there in front of town. I turned towards mom. Baynes are big mom is small for her size and her height is at the bottom of my rib.

The pack laid down and fell asleep. "Mom I have a few more questions."

"Go ahead dear." Said Matsuko

" Galents human form has a collar like mine but his gems are different why?"

" Every Bayne and every animal has a fixed element,season and 2 different Zodiacs." Said mother.I nodded for her to continue." You my dear were born in March and your element is fire and ice but fire dominated it. Your season is Winter. And you've 2 zodiac." She said

"What are my zodiac?" I asked

" Your Chinese zodiac is the Boar and northern american is Wolf. the black represents the wolf and the red the fire." Said mom

"Also When I was training with Venice his eyes were glowing." I added

" Depending on a baynes eye color tells what color your eyes will glow. Sayen my dear you have beautiful brown eyes. They with glow gold or orange." Smiled Mother.

The sun started to peek over the horizen.

"My dear It's Time for you to go. Remeber Even though you are'nt liveing with us we will always be dropping by and checking on you. you are still a member of Razorwind Mafia thats what those tatoos symbolize."

"I Love you mom!" I said Giving her a hug and her returning it.

I Made my way towards town I waved goodbye to my only family and started on my journy.

(Authors note. you have seen quite a bit of Japanese language in my story. The reason for that is Matsuko is Half japanese half italian. Matsukos first name Matsuko means Pine tree child and her last name Satoshi means Ash)

Chapter 2 freash start

(Kavinac POV kavinac aka kav is a timber wolf)

I Lay in the alley. I had cuts,scratches and Lacerations on mybody.

That Damned wolf I thought.

Earlier today a humongous grey brute with scars on his left side attacked me while trying to snatch some meat from the butcher. I finally got some. I peeked my head out of the alley to see if the coast was clear. It was. I haulled ass out of the alley and into the forest.

I had stolen meat. Not for me. But my mother.

A few days ago my mother had fallen deathly ill and is on the verge of starvation

I arrived at my mothers den site only to find her unconsious.

"Mom?" I whined. her body not moveing

"Mom I got food." no answer

" Mom....momma.......MOOOOOOOM!" I screamed at the realizeation that she was dead.

Tears flowed from my face.

" I can't beleive it she's gone!" I yelped

I had nowhere to go. And whats worse in scince mom and I were loners/rouges we had no choice but to join a dog pack, the dog pack was more of a gang though.

Unfortunantly mom had been sick scince I was a pup and my no good dirtbag father left us when she fell ill.

I cried as I made my way into town. I looked at the sky to see it was about 3 am. I padded out of the alley and trotted around town looking for shelter. I passed the bank. There at the butchers which was only a few stores down,Was a human girl.

I wagged my tail and padded up tp her. She was sitting on the porch of the shop leaned against the wall.

 Maybe she'll take me in I thought. She was asleep so if I was to get her attention I'd have to wake her. As I got about 9 feet from her I stopped dead cold in my tracks.

 The human girl smells of that wolf that attacked me! my mind screamed.

A Brisk breeze blew past her wakeing her.

I stood in a attack like position bareing my teeth and fur bristled.

She wiped the sleep from her eyes. She notice me in a offensive posture, and the freakiest thing happened.

The girl sat straight. Her head down her bangs like curtians. Was she reaching for something. No. She then lifted her head. Her eyes glowing gold and bareing her canine like teeth. Right then out of the freakish  situation I stoped growling and went submissive.

She as I Calmed down.  She was'nt like most humans. She did'nt aim a gun at me, she did'nt run in fear or hit me with something. Instead she took my aggresion and threw it right back at me. And beleive me I admired that!

(Kates POV

There I was. Sitting at the butchers where I worked. And out of absoulutly nowhere a dog comes out when I wake up and acts all aggresive. How dare he! I work here so this is my turf!

I glared at him waiting for him to do somthing.

It was weird. One moment he is all aggresive and the next he's a Submisive little pup.

"Come here." I said. The dog obeyed."Sit!" I said. He obayed.

I shrugged " I don't care what'cha do as long as you don't attack." I said

I leaned Back against the building and started to fall asleep. Suddenly I felt somthing on my thigh. I woke and looked down to see the mutt looking at me like a lost pup. He nudged my hand with his maw.

(Maw= muzzle)

I sighed defeatedly and pet him. He wagged his tail.

"Where are your folks?" I sighed thinking he had to belong to someone. I felt a intense wave of aura pulsate through my body. I had forgotten that I can read canines emotions. I saw an Image of the dog nudgeing a limp cream colored canid body. The image went away and I regain normal vision.

"Is your mother .....gone?" I asked Hesitantly.

The dog nodded.

"You got a home?" I asked

He shook his head

Now what was I gonna do. Yes I was raised by wolves and at the rank of assasin. But that doesnt mean I don't feel simpathy. I could tell the dog was sincerly upset. Then I got an Idea.

"Wanna stay with me?" I asked. The result was imediate. The canines face lit up and he licked my face. I pet him and Smiled. The pulled away and ran into a nearby alley and came out with a brown leather collar in his jaws.

I Sighed the dog had found a collar. It was old and beaten up but had the word "Champ" engraved in the leather.

I remembered from the story.  Aniu fell in love with a purebred husky named Champ. I thought for a moment but the put it on him. It was late and I fell asleep.

(Kates POV still

I awoke the next morning when I heard the doors  welcome sign flip. I wiped the tired from my eyes and smiled when I saw the dog from the other night sitting next to me wagging his tail.

"Wait here." I told him. he laid down and I walked inside the butchers shop.

I've known the Butcher for a long time and he and his wife were the only ones that knew of me being raised by wolves. They met the pack and the whole nine yards and they were accepted as human pack members.

"Hey Mario." I said to the butcher.

" Hey hon." He said noticeing the large backpack on my back and my half awake face.

" You alright what's up?" He asked from behind the counter cutting strips of meat

I yawned." I left the pack Last night." I said.

Mario stopped cutting meat and stared at me suprised.

I scratched the back of my head in embarasment." Eh..I'm sorry I was exhuasted from the long run over to town and I kinda fell asleep on the porch."

Mario grabbed a rag and wiped his hands " Well Its Saturday and We've a lotta orders to fill. Fourth of July is comin so lots of meat is being sold."

I nodded Putting on my"Wolf warrior" Apron.

Mario leaned against the counter" You got a place to stay yet?" he asked

" No not yet." I said.

" Well.....Howed you like to rent ther upstairs apartment.?" He asked

"Really!?" I gasped

" Sure your like family! Its got 4 rooms 2 bathrooms kitchen and living room all rooms have furniture in them. Its where the kids used to live before the got familys of their own." Mario said a smile finding its way onto his face.

" I love to!.... But I don't have enough money to rent it." I said dissappointed.

" No problem I'll make you a deal." He said.

"Really?" I said raiseing a brow

" Yeah Sean just quit to become a musher so we don't have a hunter. If you could become our hunter or..uh...well huntress then you can stay in the upstairs apartment." He said"So do we have a deal?"

I grabbed his hand"Deal" we shook on it. And then I remembered the canine outside

" Oh crap!" I yelped

"What!?" Said a suprised Mario

"My dog!"

" You got a dog?" chuckled Mario" Were'nt you raised by wolves?" he asked

" Yeah but I woke up for a moment last night and the dog was snarling at me so I snarled back and then outta nowhere he gets all submissive." i said.

" So?" Questioned Mario for me to continue.

" Remember how I told you I have the ability to read thoughts and emotions?" I reminded him

He nodded

"Well I was petting him and I had a vision of him hudgeing a limp dog, I think it was his mate or his mother. He's alone and upset so I took him in."

Mario gave a hearty laugh." Alright bring him in"

I called the dog in.Mario patted him on the head. the dog lick his hand cuz of the meat taste

"Aw what a good boy he is." Smile mario.

"When do I start hunting?" I asked.

Mario handed me a list (4 large buck, 5 wild turkey,6 ducks)

"Oh and you'll need this you know how to use this." he said handing me a 12 gauge. I nodded and put the dragger harness on my dog.

A dragger harness is what we use to dragg the kill back.

The dog and I walked outside to the back porch. I was tying my hunting boots when I heard an unfirmiliar but close voice.

" Hi" said the voice

"huh who's there?" i whispered

" Right here." it said

I turned to the dog

" Hey my names Kavinac and I'm NOT a dog Im a timber wolf." he said

" Shit I forgot I can speak to lupines and canines."
