Silver Ice like mirrored glass.

Cold moonbeams reflect in your eyes like so many diamonds.

The warmth of your fur and the comforting beat of your heart sets my soul ablaze.

If the ground had a memory it would remember this moment.

Enshrined for eternity.

Entwining my tail around yours I lean against you.

You lick my face.

In the distance our brothers and sisters howl into the etheric blackness.

The ancient song of the forest rings aloud through the world.

Adding our voices to the almost melodic chant.

That rises and falls like the breaking of waves upon the shore.

The howling subsides and I gaze at you.

You gaze back into me. To the very depths of my soul.

Such moments like this are fleeting and all to rare.

But when they happen the memory of it seems strong that it could last a thousand generations.

Even death itself would seem irrelevant.

But for now I enjoy the warmth of this cold night with you.

Here in the north.

Forever.
