Living on the farm

In 2006 a stray dalmatian had puppies. 5 to be exact. She loved them all but left them. So the pups were all alone. Plus their eyes were not open and they could not walk yet.

Years paced in 2008 the pups were all found taken care of and have homes. One of the pups is what this story is about. She lives on a farm and is a herding dog. This is her story...

On the farm the dalmatian named Kaya was herding sheep. When started drizzling she was brought in and lay down by a warm fire. She fell asleep.

2 hours later it was clear and Kaya was let outside. She saw other dogs over the fence in her yard. So Kaya barked. The other dogs ran over to her. There was a male dalmatian named Jack, a German shepherd named Viper, a husky named Teal, and a malamute named Diamond. They all barked and waged their tails. As they talked in body langue. Soon they were all friends. But Kaya had a little crush on Jack.. But no dog or human knew.

So later that day she talked with the dogs and ran up and down the yards between the fence. Until the owner of Kaya called her in for dinner. She looked in her dish and slurped down water. Then chowed on her food. When she was done. Kaya sat by her owners until they gave her a piece of chicken. She ate it then trotted over to her dog bed by the human’s bed. Lay down is what she did and put her head on her spotted paws. Then closed her eyes. She was dreaming.

The next week Kaya was with her friends and Diamond told them she wanted to be free. Live with the wolves. They were all surprised at her disition. But that is what she wanted to do.

Soon it was night and Diamond left for the woods. No dog knew. Kaya was on guard, jack was alseep, Viper was training, and Teal was eating. So Diamond snock out and ran. Kaya heared something but did not look.

The next day they all met at the park. Jack relised that Diamondn was missing. Then Kaya knew where she was. "She left for the woods" Kaya barked at them. "What"! teal roofed. "Yes. She left. I know and I'm going to find her"Kaya howled. "You can't go alone"Viper ecplaned. "I'll go with her" Jack barked. So it was made up Jack and Kaya would go. So that is what they did.

So the two dalmaitons left. First they paced corn fields and a river. Next Jack crawled under a knocked down tree. Kaya followed. Then they looked down a hill and saw wolves. Then below they saw her. Diamond. Jack and Kaya ran dow and down. Soon being by wolves. They knew they would have to be careful and quick. So Kaya ran with Jack behind her. Then they bumped into Diamond. The dog turned around. But it was not Diamond. They ran and ran. Until this time it was really Diamond they bumped into. She howled. She pushed away Kaya and Jack. Then foght with the wolf. Five mintues paced and Diamond was still fighting. Then Jack barked. The two stopped.. "Diamond come on, were going home" Kaya roofed. "No you are leaving I'm staying. This is my home. I'm not a malamute. I'm a wolf. And this wolf is Lupin, my sister.". So Diamond stayed and Kaya left with Jack.

Soon they were home and told the others the story. They were all sad and knew they would miss Diamond. But know she was at her real home. Where she belongs.So the dogs moved on in there lives without Diamond. They never forgot her. And now Kaya knew she loved Jack but could not tell anyone, but Diamond. She was gone now and nothing would bring her back. So Kaya knew she would have to see her again. But could not risk it.

So Kaya stayed on the farm as the next day came. The sun rose and Kaya finshed eating. She was taken outside for herding. She rounded up the sheep. Until they were in the barn. So she trotted over to the cattle and chased on. Then the farmer came out took the cattle she was chsing to get milked. Kaya was getting borded of being on this old farm. But she did not know what to do. So Kaya ran to the pig pen and rolled in the mud with them. Next she shook off some mud and went to the fence. But Jack was not there. So she went into the corn fields to hunt some crows. So she did and caught one. She trotted over to the barn and started eating it in the hay loft. Pop! Jack poped out of a hay barrle. Kaya jumped in surprise. But then the two laughed. Until the farmer came and Jack left the farm. And Kaya was taken inside the house. She was getting tried of her life. But never knew what to do. so she went to sleep. With dreams that were wonderful. Soon the moon went down and up came the sun. Kaya woke to. Then see though what it be like to not live on a farm. Not be a farm dog. But that would never happen. Kaya knew she should be glad to have a good life as a farm dog. So she took her lif as a gift. And kept it proundly with her!

That is the story of the Farm dog named Kaya.
