First day of my presence in the world. I saw this light who was saying hello to me. I felt a wet feeling from my mother, who was almost crying of joy. My dad was howling, to advice the other wolves that they are now parents of two wonderful childrens. Quickly, I went to drink this delicious thing (that used to be called milk) from my mother. My sister came up after, and pushed me for having her milk too. I pushed her back, then after we stopped pushing each other. My parents gave me the name Pheonix and give the name Niagara to my sister. We started to be a happy family.

3 months later, I saw the outside for the first time. It was new for me. I didn't wanted to go in the den anymore, I wanted to see this magic event every time. Me and my sister played outside day and night. I love my sister ; she was the only friend I had. As pups, we loved making our rebels. We never wanted to go to bed, and our parents was a bit tired of that. We thought we were stronger then them, but they always won everytime. Oh well, I still loved my family. I would never change my life. But, wanted or not, the bad thing happened...

Our pack had their enemy. We hated them so much. One day everything was normal, and it was the same happy day like the others. Until this moment ; I was playing with Niagara, and suddenly we heard something wrong. We saw a wolf in the bush, and me and Niagara gasped; it was our enemy! So we paniqued and we started to run. The wolf and his pack members followed us. Niagara and I screamed. Our parents ran toward us, and saw the wolves. Both howled, and the wolves of our pack saw what was wrong. We tried all, but the wolves of the other pack killed the majority of the wolves. It was horrible, then our dad looked at us. "Honey, take care of the pups!" "No, don't leave us, don't leave your own family!" Then I cried : "Please dad, we love you, don't kill yourself!" "Kids... I love you, and I'll make it for you. I love you kids, I love you Baby." He kissed me, Niagara and my mother, then he left. "NO!!!!!" screamed my mother. My mother, my sister and I tried to find him, but it was too late, because we found his dead body. My mother cried, then screamed to us " Run kids, run!!!" She took Niagara with her and I ran behind her, because I was faster than Niagara. Then, after a long time, we stopped. "Your father was courageous, kids, said my mother. We did that for us, and I won't leave you." So me and Niagara lived with our mother.

Some months after, while I was trying to find berries in the woods, I heard a screaming. It was from Niagara, so I ran to the den. Then I saw Niagara near Mom, who was lied down. "What's wrong, Niagara?" I asked. "Mommy..." cried Niagara. "What happened to her?" I asked. "I don't know... I was with her, then she fell down. She's dead, Pheonix. I don't hear her heart beat" "No... NO, MOMMY!!" Both of us started to cry. Suddenly, I felt something. I turned my head and I saw a wolf. "Niagara... NIAGARA!" I whispered. "What?" she cried. "Look over there..." he turned her head and saw the wolf. She gasped. The wolf moved toward us. Me and Niagara looked at each other. "Please don't hurt us!!"  Niagara cried. "I won't hurt you, said the female wolf. I will help you.I see you lost your mother... I am sorry for you." A silence came, then she said: "My name is Kahlan. What is yours?" "Ni...Niagara" "Pheonix" "Well, Niagara and Pheonix, nice to meet you. Now I need to find you a family. Follow me, we'll try to find someone." We found everywhere, and nobody seemed to want pups. Finally, we saw a wolf family. Kahlan talked with them, and the wolves said they lost their pups. Kahlan smiled, thought they would be a good family. "those pups lost their mother, said Kahlan. I'll give you this puppy." She looked at me. "Oh, thank you! said the wolves. We will take care of him." "Pheonix, this is your new family." "My family?" "Wait! said Niagara. What about me?!" "You will live with me, said Kahlan. I'm afraid I can't keep your brother. Pheonix will live with this family." "I don't want to be separated from my sister!' I said, crying. "Me either!" said Niagara. "You have no choice, said Kahlan. Now let's go Niagara." "Pheonix, no!" cried Niagara. "Don't worry, he will be happy, said Kahlan. He have a good family now." Niagara looked at me, then followed Kahlan. "Niagara!!!" I cried. The female wolf came next to me. "Don't worry, we will take good care of you." "But... I'll miss my sister!" "We understand, said the male wolf. But we are happy to have a new pup at home." It was hard for me, and I asked my self how to live with a new family.

Next day, I waked up. I just had one hope: that all that was just a dream, that my mom never died and that my sister was still by my side. Without waiting, I stand up, and saw who was with me. The den wasn't familiar. I saw one of the wolves. It wasn't  a dream ; my mom was really dead and my sister went away with that she-wolf. "Good morning, Pheonix!" the female wolf said. "Where is the other wolf?" I asked. "He went hunting for the breakfast." I sat down. I was looking at the land. The female wolf went beside me, then sits next to me. "You miss your sister?" she asked. "Yes... I hope she is happy." "I'm sure she is, said the she-wolf (named Edana). I knew Kahlan for a few times and she is really nice. She loves pups. Niagara will be ok with her." I was still looking at the land. A tear fell down. I was all calm, until Edana's mate (Rupert) came with a deer. I gasped, but I realized it was just him. "Sorry I scared you." laughed Rupert. "Yum! We're eating deer?" I asked. "Yes, it was the biggest one!" said Rupert proudly. "That's a big one, honey!" said Edana. Then we ate. I ate like a pig: I was so hungry, I don't know why. "Wow, you will be full after this for sure!" said Rupert. "I already am!" I said. "Good, plus you will have a lot of energy. That's great, because I'll learn you how to fight." I stopped eating. I looked at him. "You will learn me how to fight...?" " I'll learn you how to fight, how to defend your self and the others, how to survive in the forest, how to swim... a lot of things that a wolf can learn." smiled Rupert. "Listen... I said. Since I was born, it is my dream to learn all this." "Well, your dream will come true!" said Edana. I stand up, waving my tail. "When are we beginning?!?!" "We can begin now." He stands up. "Follow me, young wolf."

I followed him outside. He started to say: "Listen Pheonix. My goal is to make you the best wolf you can be. I want you to have a good pack and a good position. I want you to be the best of your pack. Do you want to be the best wolf you can be?" "I... I guess so..." "Well, it's important, when you fight...". He learned me a lot of things this day. Every day, he teached me new things. I learned how to swim, how to survive in the forest, how to run faster, and the positions for fighting. I was too young for fighting, so I just know the positions. Instead learning, I loved every thing else. My parents were really nice with me. It took me a lot of time before calling them mom and dad. I started to really like them...

I am finally 12 months. My dad told me we will start to fight when I'll be 12 months old. It is young, so we will start smooth. In the morning, I was outside with my dad, who said: "Pheonix, you can finally fight. Young teenagers can start learning to fight. We will start smooth." "I am ready, dad." I made my position. Suddenly, he started jumping on me! I looked at him. "Dad?!" "Use your reflexes. If I was your enemy, you would be really hurt." He got off of me. "Let's restart." He always beat me up at this game, but every day, I seemed to improve. Even one day, I beated up my dad! And since this day, I won every time. I got off of my dad, who said: "You really improved, son. I am so proud of you. You are the son I always wanted..." "Thank you dad for teaching me this!" We hugged each other. My mother came and she hugged too. I got the best adoptive family ever. Sometimes, I totally think they are my real family, and I forget about my old family.

I am only a young teenager, and I am very muscular and fast. Sometimes, I play with other pups, and they are not as muscular as I am. I'm not sure it is normal, but oh well, I am proud of it. While I was playing alone one day (I had a day off of training), Every thing was cool, until I heard some thing. I looked around, then I saw wolves. I wondered who they were. They finally got out and tried to get me. I growled and tried to attack, but a wolf was behing me and took me. I started to scream for help. My parents ran, but another wolf attacked them. "Don't hurt them!!!" I screamed. They didn't listened, and I saw my parents lied down. They took me away. 

Two wolves were next to me. I saw a big wolf in front of me. "That is the strongest pup you could find?" "Yes, sir Niju." "Hehe, perfect! He will be useful for my evil plans!" "Let me go! I screamed. Where am I?!" "Little pup, said Niju, you are mine now! You are so muscular..." "Let me go! I screamed. I want to be with my family!!" "I am your new dad!" "You will never be my dad!!" While was talking with other wolves, I remembered a tip that my dad gave to me. So I bit really hard the two wolves, then I jumped on Niju. He was so injured. I ran away, and he screamed: "GET HIM!!!!" Wolves ran behind, but I was too fast. I arrived at my den, but my parents weren't there. "Dad?!  Mom?" I looked every where. I lost my family... again. I started to cry, until a wolf came up. He was so tall, and looked so mighty. "Hello, Pheonix." "How do you know my name?!" "Rupert is an old student of mine. He told me you are a really strong pup." "My dad?! Where are my parents??" "Don't worry, they are ok. They are at my pack. You're dad wanted me to find you. Edana and Rupert are so worried about you. They will be over joyed when they will see you." "Thank you for looking for me." "Kid... wanna join our pack? We need strong wolves like you. It's rare finding pups like you, I must say your dad did a great job. I was his teacher when he was a young wolf like you." "Really?! He was teached by an Alpha?" "Yes. My name is Rolf, alpha of Silver Wind pack. And you are welcomed in our pack. Want to join?" I thought about it. I accepted, finally. "Good, Rolf said, smiling. Follow me then. Welcome to our pack." I followed the wolf. It was a new experience for me.

I am now an adult of 2 years old. My dad teached me the rest (he's in the pack), and I am now a fighter. I am only 2 years old, and the Alpha gave me the position of Delta fighter. I was so happy. My dad congratulates me, so did my mother. I was the strongest wolf in the pack, and I beat every one in the pack in fights... except the Alpha, of course. I teached young tyros how to be a fighter. Sometimes, the young wolves asks me how I became so muscular, and I told them I had the best teacher in the world. But those days, bad things happened to me.

After my teaching, I went to my den. Every one looked at me with a sad face. I wondered what happened. I thought it was something wrong with my family, so I ran to my den. This is when I saw my dad lied down, bleeding. I gasped and I saw Edana crying. I went next to her. "What happened?" Edana looked at me and said: "While you were teaching, your dad went to hunter, then a hunter shot him. We got the best healers of the pack and they try to heal him" I gasped. I looked at my dad, I put my nose in his fur. I started to cry. "Don't worry dad, every thing is gonna be alright..." "Son... promise me one thing... never let down people you love... never be a bully to anybody, and help the others... please take care of Edana." "Dad... I promise. Thanks for learning me things.. thank you for all the things you did to me." "Pheonix, Dad said. thank you for being the son I always wanted to have. What would I do without you?" He looked at me, then his eyes were closed. I paniqued. "Don't leave me, dad!" It remembers me my real dad's death. I started to cry. The healers sighed, Edana cried, Rolf looked at me. "Sorry, young wolf. Rupert didn't make it." My mother cried on my shoulder. I started to cry too. I heard wolves howling for my dad. It was an horrible moment. Since this time, I became more distant.

I asked my Alpha if I could have a day off of teaching. I didn't got out of my den for about 5 days. Edana came to me. "Come on Pheonix. Go out a little bit, every one is worried about you." I sighed. Edana sits next to me. "I understand it is hard for you. It is hard for everyone. But your dad doesn't want that." "How do you know? He is dead..." "Pheonix, please! They need you outside! You can't just stay in the dark all the rest of your life. Please, your dad wanted you to be an excellent fighter, and you are the best! Live it!" Edana was right, I  can't live like this. I got out, and lived my life normaly. Every night, I pray for my dad. I am just scared of one thing: that the same thing happens to my mom.

3 months after my dad's death... already 3 months of that. I was still distant. I wasn't as sociable as before. My day was over, so I decided to rest a little bit. I was lied down, ready to sleep, when suddenly I heard wolves growling. I saw outside what was going on. I saw wolves growling after a female wolf who wasn't in our pack. I went to see what was happening. I saw a familiar wolf in front of me. "Alright, I said. What is going on?" "Oh! I guess it's your Alpha!" said the female wolf, laughing. "No, I'm a delta fighter. What are you doing here?" "Just came to see what was this. It's just a dumb pack." "Alirght kids, what is happening here?" said Rolf. He saw the female wolf. "You know, if you want to join the pack, just ask and we'll see..." "I don't want to join your pack!" laughed the wolf. "Then why are you here?" asked Rolf. "Just visiting." "Well go away. Nobody wants you here" said Rolf, madly. "Fine! That's what I was going to do! I'll just go back to my mother." I know her!! Who she is? I saw her before. While she went away, I saw if the other wolves were gone. When they get back to the pack, I ran toward her. "Wait!!" I screamed. She stops, looking at me. "Do I know you?" she asked. "I saw you before..." I said, looking at her. "Well sorry, I don't know you, she said. You got the wrong wolf I guess." "No! You are the good one!" "Sorry" "I guess I'll go..." I started walking, then I heard "Yeah, go back to your stupid pack!" I stopped. I turned around. "Repeat that?!" "I said you and your pack are stupid." "Don't dare call me stupid! Even less my pack!" "And you have ugly scars" "Those scars are from my dad, when he trained me to be a good wolf. And plus, they are little scars that we don't see" "Well, I see those scars and it's ugly." "Pfff! You and your ugly dirty fur!" "Repeat that?!" She jumped on me, and we started to fight. It suddenly began to rain. We fought for a long time, then I jumped on her. I stayed on her, growling. She was lied down on her back. Suddenly, her face changed from angry to another sad emotion. She stopped speaking. She said with a low sound: "Pheonix?" I stopped growling. I looked at her sadly. I suddenly recognized her ; it was my loved sister Niagara. I was speechless. I got off of her, she stands up and looks at me. She tried to be close to me, but I felt so bad, and I walked away, the head down. "PHEONIX!!" she cried. I stopped moving. I looked at her. "Why we did this?" she asked. My ears went down. A tear came, then I walked away slowly, in the rain.

I told my mother what happened. I felt so bad ; why did I left her? My mom said to me she knows where Kahlan lives. So, we went finding her. She saw a den, and told it was her's. I saw a wolf coming out. It was Kahlan. "Hello?" "I want to see my sister, Niagara." "Oh? Pheonix, it is you? Well, Niagara went hunting, and she went for a long time. I can pass the message." I sighed. "Thank you." I talked a little with Kahlan, then we had to go. Would I see my sister again?

I am now 3 years old. While I watched the land, Edana came next to me. "You know, Pheonix, you are such a big guy!" "What do you want? I had a great trainer!" We both laughed. She looked at me and said: "You should find a mate." "Why?" "Well, you would have somebody to love, and you will make wonderful pups." "Mama, I'll decide when I'll fall in love." "Ok, you say it." We talked, then Edana said: "Oh! Looks like there's a visitor!" Pheonix looked and saw Niagara. Without waiting, he ran toward her. "Niagara!" "Pheonix, I am sorry for what happened..." "I forgive you..." "Please Pheonix, I don't want to be separated of you! Promise me you won't leave me" "Sis... I never let you. You are my sister, and you will always be." We both hugged each other. Since this day, my sister and I are inseperable.
