It was a beautiful morning in Nome.
Kodi was outside enjoying the day. He heard a noise. "That noise sounds familiar." Kodi though. All of the sudden he saw a shadow. It was a plane! And it was landing in Nome.
"I wonder what that plane wants now." Jenna said.
"I don't know, but I know how to find out!" Kodi had replied. He rushed out to where the plane had landed. Many of the dogs in town were there, because it's not everyday you see a plane. Out of the plane came a beautiful husky dog and her owner.
Kodi caught a glimpse of her, and she saw him too. They fell in love instantly. It really was love at first sight. Kodi walked up to her. "Hi I'm Kodi." He said.
"Im Sandy and I just flew in from Oregon. I am a champion show dog." said the new dog. She had an unusual sort of glow to her. Kodi decided he wanted to ask her if she wanted to meet his family sometime.
"Sure, I'd love to!" and it was then that Sandy began a wonderful friendship with Kodi.
"Hey dad." Kodi said to Balto. "I'd like you to meet my new friend Sandy. He pointed at the pure white husky.
"nice to meet you, Sandy." said Balto.
"Kodi I have to go now, my owner's calling me. See you later?" sandy said.
"definitely! How about tommorow at the field?"
"You bet!" said sandy. Then the husky disappeared.
A few weeksr Sandy and Kodi decided to go to the river. The river was quite beautiful this time of year, the ice covering the river. Kodi and sandy decided to have a picnic.
Kodi and Sandy were playing lots of games together. "Chase Me across the river!" sandy said. She was already halfway acros the river.
"I don't know if it's safe." Kodi yelled across the river.
"I'll be fine! said Sandy
"Okay, I just don't want you to get hurt."
They were fine for a few minutes until Kodi heard a sound. The ice was cracking! "Run Sandy!" said Kodi. Sandy looked down. The ice cracked.. She wasn't going to make it!!
The ice beneath her cracked. Kodi ran straight over to her. "KODI HELP ME!!" Sandy screamed.
"DONT WORRY I'LL GET YOU OUT OF HERE!!!!" Kodi yelled. He greabbed Sandy by the scruff and pulled her out of the ice. Sandy came out shivering and freezing cold. She was very grateful to Kodi.
"Thanks Kodi" Sandy was shivering. Kodi came up and nuzzled her. Sandy looked suprised, but nuzzled back.
"I love you, Kodi said"
"I love you too" Said Sandy.
hen they got home Kodi wanted to talk to Sandy. "These last few weeks have been some of the best in my life" Kodi Explained. "And I want to spend my whole life with you.". Sandy seemed like she wanted to say the same, and seemed anxcious. "Well Will you be my mate?" Kodi finally asked.
"Yes, Oh yes!" Sandy was crying because she was so happy." It was then that Kodi and Sandy joined their lives together, so begins the adventure of Kodi and Sandy......
