Mia now had her harnest on and was ready to go. She began to pull.

''Don't Mia Half the team isn't on yet!'' Yelled the musher.

Mia stoped and got real low.

''He's just cranky Mia. He didn't get much sleep last night.'' Kodi said hopeing it would help Mia feel better.

Mia looked up smiled and looked forward. The dogs didn't know why but they were going to White Mt. for three days. The musher kept telling people this and the dogs picked the news up. Now every dog was on the sled and ready to go. Mia longed for the mushers voice. She pawed the ground and began to come un easy.

''Mia were leaving soon. You don't want to be yelled at again do you?'' Tiko asked.

''Well no but come on lets go.'' She said jumping up and down.

''Mush!'' The musher had just jot on the sled.

The dogs were off. Mia felt the snow hit her face. She loved it. The wind in her fur the cruching snow under her. They passed Kate's house. Kate was out waving to the team. Mia barked a few times and loked forward. They had entered the woods. Mia now knew she had to slow down and follow Kodi. She had no idea how to get over the river with out the sled falling through the ice. The ice bridge was broken, the tree bridge would not hold the dogs and sled, and the ice was to thin to just walk on.

''It's going to talk an hour longer to get to the ice bridge down the river.'' Kodi told the dogs.

''So there's another bridge, well won't it be weak to?'' Mia asked.

''It'll be weak but it's so big and thick it should make it for about 2 weeks,'' Kodi told her. 

''O'' Mia said, she was feeling stupid.

The dogs stared on the trip down river.Mia was walking on the side on the river. She loved looking into it. Under the ice she watched the fish swim. They came to the ice bridge. It was huge. All of the sudden the white wolf from Mia's dream was on the bridge, then it vanished.

''Tiko did you see that?'' Mia asked thinking she was seeing things.

''See what?'' Tiko asked.

''I don't know but I don't think we should use the bridge.'' Mia said feeling uneasy.

''We have to it's the only way with out another 3 miles run.'' Kodi said starting onto the bridge.

Then Mia steped on. She hated the feeling in her belly. then the sled was on. They began the trip up the low hill of it. Mia looked over the edge. the bridge was breaking in the botom.

''GO,GO!!'' Mia yelled.

The dogs began to run but it was to late. The bridge fell under them and all felt the sting of the ice cold water. MIa went under she was stuck. She knew if she was stuck every one else was to. She bit hard on the straps. Rip..rip. The others where free. She blacked out. The dogs were now on the bank at least 2 miles down.

''Mia , Mia , were are you!'' Yelled out the sled dogs.

''Come on guys we have to look for her.'' Kodi said starting for up stream.

''O no boy come on we got to make the mail run will get her on the way back.'' The musher said graving Kodi's harnest.

Kodi struggled but wasn't able to get free. Far away Mia a woke.

''What, what am I doing here? Were are the sled dogs?'' She said limping to the edge of the river.

''Kodi....Tiko..any one?'' She felt horrible and her head felt like a hundred pounds.

She laided down and fell a sleep. When she a woke it was dark. She look around.

''I'll have to get to White Mt. myself. The musher would of took them there.'' Mia stared through the woods.

 The one good thing that happened was she was now on the other side of the river. She came to a cliff about 60ft high.

''Now how do I get up that!'' She said feeling frustrated.

''You go down half a mile and take the Hiya path.'' Came a voice from behind.

''Who,...who are you!'' Mia yelled turning.

She couldn't see any one. Then from the woods came a black shape.

''I am Runner, wolf of the river clan.'' Said the shape that we must now call Runner. 

''Well thank you.'' Mia said heading down in the direction.

''Your welcome daughter of Haza.'' Said runner truning to follow.

''What, who?'' Mia said coming to a stop.

''Haza, you have her color and King's eyes.'' Runner said troting up to her.

''No I'm huskey, dog not wolf. Well I think.'' She said.

''I know my parents child and my little sister!'' Runner said staring at her.

''Well then why did I live so many years with Kate and have no memory of any thing here?'' Mia said feeling sure she was huskey.

''You where a active pup. One day you wondered and mother went to find you. When she did you were being took by a man. Mother went for you at a run. The man hit her and she fell. She didn't wake till the next day. When we set out for you your sent was gone and untrasible. But I tell you, you are Kaylin youngest and only daughter of Haza and King.'' He told her.

''Kaylin, Kaylin I know that name. I am your sister aren't I?'' She said remembering being a young pup.

''Yes.'' Runner said.

''Well I love to go with you but I have to go to White Mt. I must.'' Mia or Kaylin. ( She didn't know what to go by.)

''Yes, Yes. But when and if you can or want you are welcome here. You are still pure wolf and daughter and yet more princess of the River clan. Runner had turned from his sister and walked into the woods.

''Good bye!'' Yelled his sister.

''Good bye Kaylin.'' Came his voice a little bit away.

She turned she was already at Hiya path. She began the trip up the path. She now was at the top feelin happy she looked down to the lake below. Past the frozen lake was the dim lit town of White Mt. She began to jump. She did and found out who her parents were. She lifted her head to the sky. Out came a long howl. In the distence she heared the howls of the River clan. She started to run down the path. She came to the frozen lake. She steped on to the lake. It was solid. She began to run. On fast feet she came to White Mt. She troted in to the town. She looked around for The team. There was the sled. In the house was a lit window. She ran to the doore sratched thee door. It slowly opened. Standing there was the musher and behind was Kodi and Tiko.

''Mia!'' Came the voice of the musher and both the dogs.

''Come in girl!'' Said the musher graving a blanket and picking her up.

He sat on the coach with her on his lap.

''Hey Kodi and Tiko. Um....befor you start my real name is Kaylin.'' Kaylin said knowing it was what she wanted.

Both Kodi and Tiko looked at one another.

''Well why is that?'' Asked Tiko.

''Well I'm a wolf. Daughter of Haza and King. Leader of the River clan.'' Kaylin said feeling happy of this.

''Wow!'' Kodi said.

''Wow is right!'' Tiko said.

The trip home was mutch better then the one there. They took Kaylin's way and had no problems. When she got home she went to Kate. The next day though Kate couldn't find Kaylin. Little did she know Kaylin at that moment was walking up to her mother and having a great reuniun. Though Kaylin had no idea of returning she missed every on.
