It was the first day when Kito opened her brown and blue eye's. The world was so new to her. Kito's mother licked her face. The lick was so warm. Kito looked around the barn, where she was born in. "Hmm" she thought to her self. It was BIG. at least to her. She looked at her brothers and sisters, they looked like herself, just a bit different. Kito layed down by her mom, and contuined to drink her milk. she licked her lips, afterwards.
A week went by, and it was Kito's first steps. "look at me, mom!" Exclaimed Kito, stumbling across the ground. Her mom laughed as Kito fell to the ground. She ran over to Kito. "Just keep trying, hun" she smiled.
Kito looked up at her mom and smiled. "okay!" She kept trying, but also kept falling. Her sister, ran up to her. "I can walk and run, so can you!"
Kito stood down, and didn't feel like trying. She was too lazy. She watched all her brothers and sisters, walk and run and play with each other. "Why can they do it, but not me?" she muttered. Her mother over heard her muttering.
"Hun, that's because you aren't even trying, they tried and they got it, and so can you! Just keep and keep trying!" She told Kito. Kito rolled her eyes, and pushed her body off the ground, she stood up, and started to walk. Without stumbling or falling down, she could run and walk! "I Can do it!" Exclaimed Kito. She ran up behind her sister's and brothers and tackled them. Her mother put a smile on her face and laughed.
Minutes turned to hours, hours turned to days, and days turned to weeks. Soon it was the time, when every puppy had to leave there home and find another one.
Kito was put into a box. With all her sibilings. it said 'Free puppy's"
" I don't like this one bit!" barked Kito in anger. She turned to the side, there was her mom and the owners.
"Mom! why do we have to leave you?" Kito cried. Her mom sighed and looked down at her.
"Every puppy ends up in a new home. I've been her before. I had to leave my mother before, then I got a new home! which was here!" Kito's mom exclaimed. Kito turned to her sister and bit her ear. " I dont want to leave either!" her sister, Kay said.
Kito nodded. " it's not fair..."
A taller human, and a small human came up to the box. The small one smiled at Kay. " I want that one!" she said. She went down and grabbed Kay.
"Bye guys, hope you have fun in your life, and I hope we met again" Kay smiled being picked up.
Soon the hours went by and Kay was 3rd left. Soon a child came up. " I would like this one" He said to his mom. His mom bent down to Kito and picked her up, she handed Kito to the boy. "C'mon, puppy" walking away with Kito in his arms, Kito cried. She was sad that she was leaving her mom, but she was happy that she was going into a new home.
That was the last time, Kito would ever see her mom.
The boy put Kito into a box, in a car. It was really small and tight. "Ugh.." Kito groaned in a thought.
"Honey, take out your dog, and hold it, so it gets used to you" Said the boy's mom. The boy nodded, and took out Kito.
Kito was in the boy's arms and was looking out side. " I love it out there" Kito barked. The humans well could not hear what Kito said. All they heard was barks and howls.
Soon they came up to a drive away. The car stopped and the boy ran into the house. He dropped Kito. "This is your home, bud," He exclaimed. "What should I name you?..."
Kito pinned her ears down. " I miss the farm.." she thought.
The boy bent down and petted Kito "Imma name you,Zoey!" he smiled.
"Yuck! Zoey? I hate that name" Kito thought. "it's Kito!"
A cat came around the corner. Kito didn't hide. She was used to cats. Since from the farm. "You're a werid type of dog" said the cat.
"Thanks?" Kito said.
"Heh, My name is Cleo, the kid calls me,Pumpkin...what is your REAL name?" Said the grey tabby.
Kito smiled at Cleo. "It's Kito." barked Kito.
"Ah, Kito. Intresting name" Cleo smiled.
"I Miss my old home, how is it here?" Kito said.
Cleo laughed. "It's okay, well Hey! Imma cat. I don't do much, your a dog, he might take you on a walk or something"
Kito nodded. "Yeah."
Cleo glared at Kito. "You're different...how come you aren't afraid of me?"
"Oh, because I used to live on a farm, and we had cats and kittens there, so you aren't any different" Kito told.
Cleo smiled at Kito. " I used to have kits but then they got new homes..." she began to lose her smile.
Kito licked her. "Don't worry! Everything is gonna be alright..."
Cleo was licked by Kito "Thanks, Kito!" she exclaimed.
"Mom! look! Zoey and Pumpkin are getting along!" said the boy in exitment
"That's good, David!" Said the boy's mom.
"His name is David?" Kito asked.
"yep"
Kito nodded. " Well this is my VERY first day in a different home, so I think I should rest?"
"Yeah, you should you DID have a long day." Cleo stated.
"Er...where do I sleep?" Kito muttered.
"Follow me!" Cleo said.
Cleo started to run up the stairs and Kito followed. She took him into a room. Not David's room but just a room. There was a litte dog bed.
"That's where you can sleep."
Kito smiled and walked over to the bed. "I'm so tired," she stepped onto the bed. She did a circle around the bed 2 times. and went to sleep. She put her tail around her face. Cleo smiled at Kito while she was sleeping, she walked out of the room, she ran down stairs where her food was, she ate.
Kito dremt of her old home, but also dremt of her new home. It was her very first day out of the barn...
