Chapter 1: A New Adventure

DestinyIsland

"Sora! Riku!" Kairi shouted.

The two friends turned around to see Kairi running to them, holding a bottle. She was breathing hard when she got to them.

"What's up?" Sora asked.

"Look," Kairi said.

Kairi showed Sora and Riku the bottle with a letter inside. On the piece of rolled up parchment was the king's symbol.

"From the king?" Sora said, grabbing the bottle.

He opened the bottle and read the letter:

Dear Sora, Kairi and Riku.

I'm afraid I have some bad news. Xemnas has returned and is more powerful then ever before.

Kairi gasped when she finished reading that part.

"Oh no!" Sora shouted.

"How can this be. I thought we defeated him?" Riku said.

"Wait, there's still more."

...Xemnas is trying to steal a Time Transporter from Merlin and he has made a new Organization XIII. His lackies are still the Heartless and some other villains you have faced before, Sora, But there are some you have never seen and have great power.

"What!" Sora shouted.

The letter went on:

...So, I sent Donald and Goofy to retrieve you, Kairi and Riku to come to DisneyCastle so I can fully explain everything.

King Mickey.

Sora just stared at the letter. His mouth was wide-open. He couldn't believe it. Xemnas was back and he made another Organization. Riku put his hand on Sora's shoulder.

Sora looked at him and Kairi.

"Come on," Sora said. "We've got to wait for Goofy and Donald to arrive."

An hour later after they got ready, Donald and Goofy lannded the Gummi ship on the beach. Sora, Kairi and Riku made their way to the Gummi ship, with one click of a button, they were on their way to DisneyCastle. They landed in the Gummi Garage to see Chip and Dale running towards them.

"Welcome back!" Chip said.

"Hurry! King Mickey and Queen Minnie are waiting in the Throne Room!" Dale said.

"Thanks guys," Sora said as he and the others ran to the Throne Room.

When they got there, they saw King Mickey and Queen Minnie, along with Merlin.

"You made it," King Mickey said. "I am glad you recieved my message."

"Now tell us. How did Xemnas survive? And what exactly is the new Organization XIII?" Sora said.

"Calm down, Sora," King Mickey said. "I'll explain everything. But first, you need to calm down."

"He's right, Sora," Kairi said.

Sora looked at her and took a deep breath.

"Okay, I'm calm," Sora said. "Now tell me what happened."

"Well," King Mickey explained. "When you and Riku thought Xemnas was destroyed once and for all, Xemnas managed to absorb both light and dark to keep him from truly vanishing. The light and darkness gave him a new body, along with new powers and abilities you can't even imagine."

"But why does he want the Time Transporter?" Sora asked.

"To be honest, I have no idea why he wants my Time Transporter," said Merlin. "I don't even think it works."

"But if it doesn't work, then what use does Xemnas have for it?" said Donald.

Suddenly, hundreds of Heartless appeared in the Throne Room. The King and Queen were surprised. Sora, Kairi and Riku had their Keyblades ready, while Donald had his magic staff out and Goofy had his shield out for battle.

"Thunder!" Sora shouted.

Sora held his Keyblade high in the air and small sparks formed at the end, but above five Heartless were struck by bolts of thunder.

"Take that," Sora said.

Goofy was ramming the Heartless with his shield and some couldn't take the impact.

"Not bad, huh," Goofy said.

Riku was defeating the Heartless thanks to the power of darkness he acquired while he was in the realm of darkness. Riku's Keyblade had a dark aura that destroyed the Heartless very fast.

Kairi was wielding her Keyblade at the Heartless and struck five of them and they dissappeared in a mist.

The King noticed that they needed help so his Keyblade appeared and the King jumped over the Heartless and right next to Donald.

"About time you help out, your Majesty!" Donald shouted.

With all six using combined magic, they were able to destroy every Heartless in the room.

"Thank goodness you were able to defeat them all," Queen Minnie said.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Xemnas swiped the Time Transporter right out of Merlin's hands.

"Thank you very much, old wizard."

Sora and the gang were ready to fight their arch enemy again, and this time Sora was going to make sure Xemnas stayed down permanently.

"Keyblade master, the last two times we encountered each other, you foiled my plans to take control of Kingdom Hearts but this time you won't be able to stop me since I have this," Xemnas said while holding up the Time Transporter.

"We were able to stop you before, so the Time Transporter won't make any difference," Sora said.

Xemnas turned the dials on the device and a doorway opened.

"This time, Keyblade master, you will not stop me," Xemnas laughed as he jumped through the doorway.

Sora was about to jump through when someone grabbed his arm. He turned around and saw that it was Kairi who was holding him.

"Kairi, please let go. I have to stop him," Sora pleaded.

"But Sora, you don't know where this doorway leads," Kairi said.

"Kairi is right, Sora," said King Mickey. "You do not know where this door will lead you."

"That's a chance I have to take," Sora said.

"Very well! Donald, Goofy, you go with Sora and help him out," said the King.

"I'll go too and assist them," said Riku.

"Kairi are you going to go and help them?" asked Queen Minnie.

"Yeah! I'll go. Sora and Riku are helpless without me," Kairi said with a smirk.

"Hey!" Sora and Riku said in unison.

With that said, the group of five were ready to start their quest.

"Whatevere you encounter, always remember that the Keyblades will guide you, and good luck," said the King.

After the king said his words of advice, the five jumped through the doorway before it shut.

"I hope they make it back," said Chip.

"They will. Remember, Sora is the master of the Keyblade," said Queen Minnie.

With Sora and the gang drifting through the portal, they reached a bright light and fell to the ground. When they hit the ground, they landed on a thick blanket of cold, white, fluffy material.

"We landed in snow!" Sora said.

"We be-better find a place to stay warm," said Kairi.

"Hey, look over there," Goofy said.

Goofy was pointing to an old fishing trawler.

"Perfect! We could stay in there to keep warm," Sora said.

Sora and friends made their way to the trawler. They walked up the wooden plank and they all stayed in the captain's cabin for the remainder of the night.

Chapter 2: Welcome to Nome

Rosy's House

Balto decided to stay the night at Rosy's to spend some time with his mate Jenna. When Balto woke up the following morning, he gently nudged Jenna with his paw.

"Balto, it's still to early to be waking up," Jenna said in a groggy voice.

"I know it's early, but I want to get an early start on our morning out."

"But what if Kodi or somebody comes by?" Jenna asked.

Balto replied, "If Kodi comes by, he knows to either wait here or meet us at my boat."

"Alright then let's go," Jenna said.

Balto and Jenna crept slowly out of the house so they would not be heard and headed out.

Meanwhile back at Balto's boat, Sora and the gang were just waking up. Sora was starting to think that this boat might be someone's home. Then, when he looked next to the wall where Kairi was sleeping, he saw an old wool blanket. When Sora walked out of the captain's cabin he looked down and saw a bowl of water.

"Guys wake up!" Sora shouted.

The others quickly shot up when they heard Sora shouting.

"What was that for!" Donald shouted due to his temper.

"Sorry, but I think we are in someone's home."

"Why do you say that?" said Goofy.

Sora pointed to the blanket and to the bowl of water.

"Well, if anyone does live here, we just have to wait and see who it is," Riku said.

"Look guys, there's a town," Kairi said.

After they discovered a town was near, Sora, Kairi and Riku decided to head there to buy some supplies. Some dogs by an old abandened building on the outskirts of town, started barking at the trio. They also noticed that while they were walking down the street, people were also staring at them. They looked around for a supply shop and the found the General Store. When they walked in, the bell rang to let the owner know he had customers. The owner was surprised at the way they were dressed.

"I think you kids could use some better clothes than what you are wearing now."

The owner brought them some clothing that would fit them. They took the clothes and they individually went into the back room to change into the new clothes. When Sora came out, he went to a shelf to get some food.

"How much do we owe you?" Sora asked.

"You owe me a total of twenty dollars," replied the sore owner.

"Is this enough?" Sora asked while setting down the munny on the counter.

The man was surprised at how much he was staring at on the counter. "That's more than enough," he replied.

As they walked outside, they saw a sled with seven dogs tied to it. Sora walked up to the lead dog who was a burgandy color with a white underside.

"I see you like my lead dog," said the musher.

"Yeah, he looks like he's in good shape," said Sora. "What's his name?"

"Well. I'll tell you the names of all my dogs. The lead dog's name is Kodiack or Kodi for short, the two behind him are Butch and Kirby, the other two behind them are Ralph and Dusty and the last two are Ernie and Mark," the musher said.

"Sorry, I didn't give you my name. The name's Mr. Simpson."

"Hi. I'm Sora and these are my two friends, Kairi and Riku."

As Kairi and Riku finished introduccing themselves, the three headed back to the boat where Donald and Goofy were staying.

As Sora and his two friends were walking back, Balto and Jenna were walking through the forest, talking and having a good time, just joking and having fun.

"It's good sometimes to get out of town," Balto said.

"Yeah, it is good, but you pretty much spend most of your time out here in the wild sometimes," Jenna said.

"What do you mean by that?" Balto said.

Jenna started to laugh. "What I mean is you spend a little more time out here than with me and our children."

"I'm sorry, Jenna. After this small walk I promise I'll spend more time with you."

After hearing Balto say that, Jenna was excited that he would be spending more time with her.

Balto and Jenna were unaware that shadows were following them, Balto suddenly stopped.

"What is it Balto?" Jenna asked.

Balto replied, We're being followed."

Both of them turned around and saw these shadow like creatures starting to surround them.

"What are they Balto?" Jenna replied in a frightened tone.

"I have no idea," Balto said.

Balto was unprepared when five Heartless jumped and started to pile on top of him. At that moment Jenna screamed at the top of her lungs, fearing for her mate's safety.

At the fishing trawler, Sora and Riku were preparing lunch when Sora heard a scream coming from the forest.

"Did you guys hear that?" Sora asked.

The others nodded and they all ran out of the ship to see what the source of the cream was and, to their surprise, they saw hundreds of Heartless attacking two dogs. They all got their weapons ready as Sora jumped over the Heartless and got the ones that were on Balto. Balto walked over to Jenna despite his injuries.

"Balto, you're hurt," Jenna said in a worried tone as she licked his wounds.

"Jenna. I'm fine. It's just a few scratches," Balto said through gritted teeth as he fell to the ground.

In Sora's hand was a long blade that looked like a key.

"Do you think he's going to hurt us Balto?" whispered Jenna.

"I don't know Jen."

Sora turned around and smiled. "Don't worry, my friends and I won't hurt you," replied Sora.

Balto and Jenna were surprised because no one had evere been able to understand what they said.

Sora and the gang defeated the Heartless like it was nothing and all five walked up to Balto and Jenna to see how they were.

"Are you two okay?" Sora asked.

Before Sora could react, a wolf jumped at him and pinned him to the ground. Kairi, Riku, Donald and Goofy went frantically to help him.

"You leave my Mom and Dad alone!" the wolf shouted.

"Take it easy Aleu. They just saved your mother and myself from whatever those things were," Balto said.

"They're called Heartless," Riku said. They're creatures that like to steal all the goodness and love in people's hearts."

"The reason they went after you two is because I guess you have so much love in your hearts for each other," said Kairi.

"Sorry we didn't introduce ourselves. My name is Sora. These are my friends Kairi and Riku. The wizard is Donald and the soilder is Goofy."

"My name is Balto and this is my mate Jenna and the one who attacked you is our daughter Aleu."

It is nice to meet all of you," Sora said.

When they all started to leave, Balto tried to stand up but fell back on the ground.

"Papa!" Aleu shouted as she and Jenna ran up to him.

"Balto, we'll help you get back to town," Jenna said.

"Honey, like I said before, it's just a few scratches," Balto groaned.

Sora walked up to Balto and looked down at him.

"Stay put. BALTO HEAL!" Sora said as the tip of his blade glowed with leaves that now covered Balto's body. When the leaves disappeared Balto was all healed.

"What did you do?" Balto asked.

"I healed you with our magic."

"I think we should head back to my place," Balto said.

"Oh, your place wouldn't happen to be a worn out boat by any chance," Goofy said.

"It is. Why?"

"Because we were staying in it since last night," Donald said.

"Don't worry about it," Balto said. "Jenna, run to town and get Dingo, Kodi and Saba."

"Wait a minute. Did you just say Kodi?" Sora said.

"Yeah, he's my son."

Jenna nuzzled Balto before she ran to town to get the others. She hoped the others would understand what dangers were about to strike the town of Nome.

Chapter 3: A Hero’s Tale

Balto’s Boat

Balto was standing at the end of the ship with his paws on the rail. Jenna then ran up the plank with the others she went to retrieve.

“What’s going on, Dad?” Kodi asked.

“I think we may have a problem,” Balto said.

“What kind of problem?” Saba said.

“I think we could tell you that,” said Sora as he and his friends walked up on deck.

“Dad, how can he understand us?” Kodi said.

“I really don’t know how. You should have seen my reaction along with your mother’s.”

Sora walked up to Kodi. “It’s good to see you again, Kodi.”

“Yeah, same here,” replied Kodi.

“Well, um Sora, Kairi, Riku, Donald and Goofy,” Balto said. “We’ve never seen you around here before. Where are you guys from?”

“Oh, um, we came very far away,” said Sora.

“Well, exactly where?” Balto asked.

“The three of us are from a place called DestinyIsland,” Sora said. “And these two are from DisneyCastle.”

Sora didn’t want to tell them that they were from the future, trying to stop a madman from taking over.

“So what were you guys doing before we saved you?” Sora said.

“Well, Jenna and I were just trying to find some time to be alone together,” Balto replied.

“Well it’s a good thing I heard you mate scream. That is why we came running when we heard her,” said Sora.

“So Kodi, what do you and your teammates do?” Said Kairi.

“Well, we deliver mail and supplies to the neighboring towns.”

“So, I see you’re talking to a new friend about our job,” replied Kirby.

Sora turned and saw Ralph, Dusty and Kirby walk up the plank.

“Being lead-dog is a big priority, I have to make all the decisions to make sure we get the mail on time, and that we arrive safely.”

“Yeah, it’s not like we have to save the town,” Kirby said. “Not like your old man.”

“Hey, what my Dad did was really brave and courageous. He could have died out there.” Saba said.

“What are you guys talking about?” Sora asked.

“We’re just remembering what our Dad did,” said Kodi.

“What did he do?” asked Goofy.

You guys haven’t heard about what Balto did!” shouted Ralph.

They shook their heads because they had never heard about what Balto did and they really wanted to know what he did.

“I’ll guess I have to tell you guys what I did,” said Balto.

“Four years ago in 1925, a disease known as diphtheria spread all over Nome, causing all of the children to get sick. The antitoxin was the only cure, but unfortunately there was none in Nome. The Telegrapher was sending messages all over Alaska, telling people that Nome is in danger. Bush planes tried to bring in the antitoxin but the blizzard kept them from flying. They also tried to bring it here by boat but the ice flows were blocking the path. They used a train to bring the antitoxin to Nome, but there were no tracks leading to Nome. So the train only mad it to Nenana. The medicine was still hundreds of miles away.”

“The only chance Nome had was for a dog sled team to go to Nenana and bring the medicine back safely. The townspeople held a race to see who the fastest dog was. Jenna’s owner Rosy was sick as well. So I entered the race. I won in record time, but I was turned down.”

“You were turned down?” Kairi asked.

“Yeah,” Balto said.

“Why would they turn you down if you won?” asked Donald.

“There was this dog named Steele, he was a very popular dog in Nome,” Balto said. “He wanted to prove that he and his tem could get the medicine back without someone like me.”

“What do you mean by someone like you?” asked Riku.

“Back then, people feared me because I am part wolf. Even the dogs teased me about it,” Balto said.

“But why did you get turned down just because you’re part wolf?” asked Goofy.

“Well, the judges were about to let me join, but then Steele stepped on my paw which caused me to howl in pain. The judges thought I was going to attack them. That is why I was turned down.”

“That Steele character sounds like a bully,” said Sora.

“He sure is,” Jenna said.

“So what happened next?” asked Kairi.

“About a week had passed since Steele and his team left, and some feared that they were lost. The children were getting worse, and so was Rosy. So I to go look for them and try to bring back the antitoxin.

“Boris, a Russian snow goose, and Muk and Luk, two polar bear cubs, came along with me. Every now and then I would scratch a tree to mark the trail. On the way we encountered a huge black grizzly bear. I tried to take down the bear, but it pushed me down to the ground, knocking the air out of me. The bear was about to slash my stomach out, but Jenna stopped him in time. When I finally got my breath back, I charged at the bear.”

“It really got mad and it followed me down a hill that I fell down that led to lake of ice. The bear’s massive weight caused the ice to crack. The bear fell through the ice, taking me with it.”

“You fell in too!” gasped Kairi.

“Actually, what happened is when the bear fell through, the crack widened to where I was standing and it flipped over, sealing me under the ice.”

“Then how did you get out?” said Riku.

“I owe my thanks to Muk and Luk who jumped in to help me, but at the time they could not swim,” said Balto.

The five visitors started to laugh.

Polar bears that can’t swim,” they said in unison.

“That’s exactly what I said,” said Jenna.

“Anyway, they managed to get me out, but I was really cold from being down there. Jenna came up to me. When I tried to get up, she lightly pushed me back down and laid on top of me to keep me warm,” Balto said as Jenna licked his cheek and he nuzzled her back.

“Would you two like to be left alone?” said Donald.

“Sorry about that, where did I leave off?”

“Well, when we started to continue on our task, Jenna fell down and right away I knew she was hurt. I pulled over a large tree branch and I told Muk and Luk to take Jenna back home and I told Boris to go with them. Also Jenna gave me her bandana to help me keep warm but she didn’t think it would help, but I told her it would. Before I left Boris said to me ‘ Let me tell you something, Balto. A dog cannot make this journey alone. But maybe a wolf can.’ I didn’t quite understand what he tried to tell me. As I continued to look for the lost team, it became night. Then I caught Steele’s scent.”

“When I went up a hill, I saw the team at the bottom. I went to go help, but going down I slid on a patch of ice. Every one was surprised to see me except for Steele. I saw that the crate that held the medicine was alright, but the musher was knocked out cold. I told them that I could lead them back, but Steele said that they did not need my help and I told them that I marked the trail that could lead them back, but Steele didn’t care. Everyone wanted to get the medicine back home including me, but before I could do anything, Steele attacked me.”

“He attacked you?” Kairi said.

“Yeah, he did.”

“But why did he attack you?” Sora said.

“To this date I still have no idea why. He may have done it out of revenge,” Balto said.

“Dad I think we may need to go into town because it is getting too crowed in here,” said Dingo.

“Yeah, you’re right, let’s go.”

Meanwhile Xemnas and all of his assistants were in an underground cavern plotting.

“So, what are we going to do about the three Keyblade warriors and that wizard and guard?’ said Hades.

“I’m not sure but I can sense that the Keyblade master is with his friends and others,” said Xemnas.

“Why don’t we send some Heartless into that small town were they went to,” said Captain Hook.

Meanwhile, in the boiler room, Balto was getting ready to continue his story.

“Well, when Steele attacked me, he tackled me, grabbed me and he even threw me into a rock. I slammed into it hard and all he did was laugh. When I stated to stand up he charged at me but instead of grabbing me, he grabbed Jenna’s bandanna. He was trying to do what ever he could, but the bandanna came undone and he fell off of the cliff.”

“Did he die?” said Goofy.

“No, he did not,” said Balto.

“Well, after that, the dogs had me be their lead dog, but what I didn’t know is that Steele had a plan. When we came to the forest, I saw that all the trees were scratched. We ran in circles for awhile but what I didn’t know is that I almost led us off a cliff. Good thing we stopped, but the sled was right at the edge and the ropes started to break, I jumped out of my harness and grabbed the rope attached to the crate, but the weight of myself and the crate and caused the edge of the ice mountain to break away.”

“So you fell down a mountain,” said Riku.

“Yes I Did,” Balto said.

“But what happened next?” said Kairi.

“I think Jenna should tell you what happened next.”

“What happened next is when I was in the boiler room, the dogs were wondering how Balto was going to find the team, and I told them that he was tracking them. They all started laughing, then the door swung open and I saw the silhouette of a dog and I thought it was Balto but it was Steele. Doc asked Steele where the rest of the team was and he said that they did not make it and he said that when Balto showed up, he demanded he take the medicine. He also said that Balto fell off a cliff. He the pulled out the bandana I gave to Balto before he left. Steele said that Balto told him to take care of me. Right away I new he was lying and I grabbed my bandana and left the room. After that, I grabbed the lantern that was hanging outside the post office and took it to a hill where, along with some broken bottles, I arranged them the way Balto showed me, and the Northern Lights were showing on the side of the mountain.”

“I never expected anyone to go through all that.” Said Sora.

“So what happened next?” asked Donald.

“I think Balto can tell you the rest,” Jenna said.

“Well, after I fell off the cliff, I was lucky that I landed in a pile of snow that broke my fall. When I dug myself out, it was morning and I feared that the children didn’t make it, so I felt that I let everyone down including Rosy. Right there I felt like giving up, but when I removed my paw from my face I saw this white wolf looking down at me.”

“What did it do to you?” Kairi asked.

“It just howled,” replied Balto. “But after it howled I turned away and then it left, but I then saw the crate and looked up the mountain and then the words that Boris told me took affect and something in me started to wake up. I looked where the wolf was and there were paw prints so I started to stand and I placed my paw on one of them and it matched and then I howled. The wolf inside me had been awakened.”

“So you used a part of yourself you didn’t like,” Goofy said.

“Well, I felt more ashamed of my wolf heritage,” Balto said.

“Well, after that I carried the crate back up the mountain and we continued back, but when came to all the trees that Steele marked along with mine, I was a able to tell which way to go. We went over and ice bridge and it started to break, then an avalanche started and we ran into a cave but we had to be quiet. When we stepped of the ledge, the sled slammed onto the ice, which echoed in the cave and caused the spikes of ice to fall. One hit the side of the crate and some of the nails came loose and one of the vials of medicine fell out and shattered, I tried to get to the crate but the ice was slippery, so what I did next surprised even me. An ice spike feel and I jumped at it and slid to the crate and pushed the nails back in, and we barely made it out. A few hours later, I could tell that we were almost home. When we were close I decided to howl to let the town know we were back and then I saw the image of the Northern Lights on the mountain and I howled again. When we arrived with the medicine, it was immediately given to children and the townspeople considered me a hero and they were no longer afraid of me. Steele was then discovered to have caused us to get lost and almost got us killed, so he was banished from Nome.”

“Now, you guys know what I did,” said Balto.

“I can’t believe you did all that!” said Doanld.

“Yeah, my Dad did a lot to help this town out,” said Saba.

“So whatever happened to Steele?’ asked Sora.

“We don’t know what happened to him,” said Balto.

Suddenly, they heard a little girl scream.

“Help! It’s a monster!”

“That’s Rosy,” said Jenna.

“And the Heartless.” Said Sora.

Chapter 4: The Invasion of Nome

Nome, Alaska

When Sora and the group ran outside, they saw about one thousand Heartless coming into town. The townspeople were screaming and running because they did not know what these things were capable of.

"What are we going to do?" Jenna said.

"You nine are going to stay here while we do our job," said Sora.

Sora, Kairi, Riku, Donald and Goofy ran in front of the people to protect them.

The owner of the general store saw Sora, Kairi and Riku.

"You were the three that came into the store this morning," he said.

"Yeah, that was us, Sora repiled.

"You three and your two friends should find someplace to hide because you don't know what could happen," said the general store owner.

Sora, Kairi and Riku held out their hands and in their hands appeared swords that looked like keys, except for the one that Riku held, which looked like a regular sword. The townspeople were shocked at what they saw.

"Let's do this," said Sora.

Sora and his four friends ran at the Heartless. Sora was swinging his Keyblade at the Heartless while at the same time using his magic.

The townspeople were looking as the battle unfolded.

"Where are these people from?" said the owner of the saw mill.

"I don't know," said Rosy's father.

"Where's Jenna?" said Rosy.

In the boiler room Jenna was staying close to Balto.

"It's those things again," Jenna said.

"Jenna, you stay here with the others. I'm going to go help them," Balto said.

"Balto, Sora said for us to stay here. Besides, I don't want to loose you."

"Jenna, to me you, our family and our friends are more important then my life."

After Balto said that he ran out of the room towards the battle. As he ran by the townspeople, Rosy's father tried to grab him but he missed.

Sora saw Balto run to them.

"I told you to stay in that building," Sora said.

"I just couldn't stay there and not try to help out," Balto said.

The townspeople were out of earshot range to hear what Sora was telling Balto.

While Balto and Sora were talking, the Heartless turned and saw Balto. They all started to run toward him .

The townspeople saw the Heartless running toward Sora and Balto.

"Watch out!" shouted Rosy's father.

Sora turned just in time to see the Heartless coming toward them. "Run!" Sora shouted to Balto.

Balto started to run away but he tripped on a rock that was buried under the snow.

The Heartless jumped over Sora and started to attack Balto.

When Jenna saw what was happening she ran towards Balto.

"Mom, wait!" Kodi shouted as he tried to stop his mother.

The townspeople decided to go and help Balto get free, but the Heartless wouldn't let them.

When Jenna arrived, she tried desperately to get to her mate to help him. She turned to see her two Sons and two Daughters helping her.

"Hold on, Papa," Aleu said.

"Hang on Dad," said Kodi.

Under the pile of Heartless, Balto was struggling to get free when he closed his eyes and started to think about his family. Then he heard a familar voice in his head. "It is time my son," said the voice belonging to his mother Aniu. When Balto opends his eyes, they where glowing a Navy blue color.

When Sora and the others saw a blue light appear under the Heartless they wondered what was going on.

The Heartless were suddenly thrown back by a tremendous amount of power and they landed all along

Main Street
.

When the light disappeared, Balto stood up and walked toward the Heartless with a determined look on his face.

Jenna wanted to run up and nuzzle him but Kodi held her back.

The townspeople wondered what was happening with Balto because they had never seen him like this before.

When Balto saw some Heartless ready to fight, he stood up on his hind legs and brought down his front paws on the ground and some form of magic shot from his paws and annihilated the Heartless.

The townspeople , along with Balto's family, were looking at him in surprise.

How did Dad do that?" Saba said.

"I don't know sweety," said Jenna.

Sora looked at the others and they just nodded.

Sora and the others held up their weapons and transferred some of their power to Balto.

The power was surging through Balto's body and he lifted his head and let out an ear splitting howl that destroyed every Heartless that was in the town.

The townspeople started to cheer triumphantly now that they were safe. They ran to Balto to see if he was all right.

Jenna, along with her friends and family, ran up to him. She nuzzled him before he collapsed from exhaustion. Jenna was concerned and was wondering why he was tired.

Sora came up to her and he said, "Don't worry. He'll be fine. This just took alot of stress on his body and all he needs is to rest or be healed."

"That's good to hear," said Jenna.

When Rosy's father heard Sora talk to Jenna, he to was relieved, but Jenna's reply was a bark to him.

Sora held his Keyblade over Balto and healed him.

"What happened, Jen?" asked Balto.

"You were attacked by the Heartless again but this time you used some type of power or magic," said Jenna.

Balto then remembered and looked toward the sky and whispered, "Thank you, Mother."

As they all started to walk back, Xemnas appeared witht he support of his villains.

"Keyblade master!" Xemnas shouted.

Sora turned and saw him, Sora and his friends held their weapons in front of the people to protect them.

"Keyblade master, nowe I will tell you why I am in this world," said Xemnas.

"And why's that," said Donald.

"Silence! In this world lies the heart where all worlds are born including this world and ours, Kingdom Wolves."

Balto suddenly ran toward Xemnas with his fangs bared. When he jumped to attack Xemnas, he grabbed Balto by his neck and he started to crush his wind pipe. Balto was having a hard time breathing and when he placed his paw on Xemnas's chest, Xemnas flew back and dropped Balto. Balto awas gasping for air.

"I see you have a new ally on your side," Xemnas said.

Captain Hook looked at Balto then to Xemnas.

"You have got to be kidding. The lad's new helper is a dog," he said.

"I guess so," said Xemnas.

Xemnas turned around but then looked back at everyone.

"This time you will not stop me," he said as he snapped his fingers and a giant three-headed dog appeared as all the villains disappeared.

Chapter 5: The Quest Begins

Nome, Alaska

The people were running in terror when they saw the three-headed dog.

"What is that thing!" shouted Kirby.

"It's Cerberus," said Sora. "How does he always manage to come back after he has been defeated?"

"How many times have you beaten him?" said Balto.

"Two,"

"Well, I guess it's going to be three," said Riku.

"Wait! Let's fight him outside of the town so no one gets hurt," said Kairi.

That's a good idea Kairi," said Sora.

The group ran to the outskirts of town where there was nothing but open space, except for Balto's home.

"I'll help you out," said Balto.

Sora looked at Balto. "You just barely got your power. It will drain your strength."

"Even though it does weaken me, I will get used to it. I just have to improve my strength and I won't have to worry and neither will Jenna."

"You're sure you want to do this?" said Sora.

"Yes," Balto said.

After that little discussion, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Donald, Goofy and Balto charged Cerberus.

Sora jumped up and flipped on top of Cerberus's middle head and started to swing his Keyblade at his opponent before he was thrown off.

Balto decided he was going to use the magic attack he now called paw strike. The blast of magic came out of his paws and struck Cerberus's right foot.

Cerberus fell down because the atttack was unexpected, but in the process he fell on Balto's boat.

"NO!" shouted Balto.

Balto was now angry that his home was gone. A new magic ability was starting to surface and Balto released the attack from his mouth which he dubbed, "howling blaster." The attack struck Cerberus's left head and he went wild.

Cerberus was stomping around wildly because of the attack and he did not care what he hit.

The others were watching the battle from a far distance but that changed when Cerberus ran wild. Everyone ran in different directions. Dusty was running for her life, but just before he brought his giant paw crashing down on her, she was pushed out of the way by Kodi.

"Kodi, you saved me."

"I just couldn't sit down and see the dog I love get crushed," said Kodi.

"Oh, Kodi," Dusty said in a sweet and loving voice.

Sora and Riku were pinned under Cerberus's paws. Kairi and Donald tried to use their magic to disract Cerberus, but it didn't work.

Balto then ran and jumped on Cerberus's back and fired his howling blaster directly at the head and knocked him out. Balto jumped down and pulled Sora and Riku out from underneath his paws.

Sora, Kairi, Riku, Donald, Goofy and Balto combined their magic into one attack, called "spirit bond," and fired it at it at Cerberus, which finally destroyed him.

In the underground cavern, the villains were watching the fight, and Xemnas got angry when he saw his companion fall.

"They are strong," said Hades.

"For now," said Xemnas.

At the boiler room, everyone was resting after their hard battle. When everyone was inside, the door was shut so it would remain warm. Jenna was staying close to Balto because he was still not used to his magic. Kodi and Dusty were close together now that they were a couple and others were just trying to stay warm. Sora was going to heal Balto when he started to glow.

"Balto! What's happening to you?" said Jenna.

When the glow was gone Balto was all healed.

Suddenly, the door blew open and a breeze of cold air came in, but the wind was swirling in the center of the room, and sitting in the center of the room was a white wolf.

"Hello, my son," said Aniu.

"It's good to see you again. The last time I saw you was when Aleu crossed the ice flows."

Aniu turned and looked at the rest of her family, then she looked at Sora and his group.

"Keyblade master, I am here to tell you of a weapon similar to your Keyblade that is hidden in this world. I don't know where it is or who will wield it, but good lilck to you, and to you my son, and to your family. I wish you nothing but happiness," Aniu said. "Oh, before I leave, Jenna, I want to give you something."

Aniu walked up to Jenna and placed a paw on her. Aniu's eyes glowed blue while Jenna's glowed green.

"I have given you the power to heal. Incase my son or the Keyblade master or anyone you know is injured very badly, all you have to do is place your paw on the person and they will instantly be healed," said Aniu. "I must go now. Good luck on your quest Keybalde master and friends, and to you my son. Take care of your family."

Aniu holwed and she vanished.

"Well, looks like we have something else to do besides stopping Xemnas," said Sora.

"I guess we should start as soon as we can," said Donald.

"Then, lets do this," said Balto.

Chapter 6: The Discovery

Boiler Room

“Where are we going to look first?” said Kairi.

“I think Balto should lead us since he knows these lands better then we do,” said Riku.

“Well, I can help you some but Aleu here knows more when we get more into the wild,” said Balto.

“Are you sure about that Papa?” said Aleu.

“Yes, I am sure. You have been living out there since you led that wolf pack.”

“Okay.”

With all that said, everyone walked out of the boiler room. They saw the whole town was outside waiting for them.

“You’re going to go stop them aren’t you?” said the mayor.

“We ain’t going to let them destroy this world,” said Sora.

Balto and Jenna walked up to Sora and his friends and they looked up at them and Balto barked.

“Yeah I know, but what can we do?” said Sora.

Rosy was looking at Sora with a confused look on her face.

Rosy decided to get Jenna out of the way.

Jenna started to bark like she wanted to be with the others.

“I think she wants to go with us,” said Sora.

“Sorry girl. You can’t go with them. I don’t want you to get hurt,” said Rosy.

“Rosy, if she wants to come with us, she can,” said Donald.

“But I don’t want her to get hurt.”

“Don’t worry, Rosy, she won’t get hurt. I promise,” said Sora.

“You promise?” said Rosy.

“Yes I promise. Besides, I don’t think Balto would let anything happen to her.”

Balto barked at Rosy.

“Balto, if she goes with you, please protect her,” Rosy said as she gave Balto a hug.

Balto just licked Rosy’s cheek.

Balto and the group walked back to the boiler room.

“Kodi, are you going to come with us?” said Balto.

“No Dad. I am going to stay here and try to help the town and protect Dusty.”

“Oh Kodi,” Dusty said and then she licked his muzzle.

“Well, let’s get going,” said Sora.

“Mom, Dad, be careful.” said Saba.

“Yeah, we don’t want to loose you,” said Dingo.

When everyone said their goodbyes, Sora and the group left to find the new weapon.

Sora decided to get some supplies before they left on their journey.

“I think this is enough,” said Sora. “How much do I owe you?” he said to the general store owner.

“Don’t worry. You don’t owe me anything,” said the general store owner.

When Sora had the items, they all started to the forest, but unknown to them a mysterious figure was following them.

“How are we going to know when we find this new weapon?” shouted Donald.

“Donald, I know you are angry because we don’t know where to look, but we just have to remain calm and continue to look,” said Sora.

“We can try to look by Bear Rock,” said Aleu.

“What is Bear Rock?” said Riku.

“Bear Rock is a rock formation that looks like a bear,” said Balto.

“Well, let’s head there first,” said Kairi.

It took them one hour to reach Bear Rock.

When they all reached the top, Balto suddenly got a vision. He then shook his head to clear it. “What was that?”

From behind a rock was the figure that was following them. “You’re mine half-breed.”

Suddenly, the figure jumped out and pinned Balto.

“Balto!” shouted Jenna.

Balto looked into his attackers eyes.

“STEELE.”

Sora and the rest of the gang had their weapons ready,

Balto managed to knock Steele back. “No! This is my fight.”

In the cavern, Xemnas was watching what was happening. “This may play to our advantage.”

As the battle between Steele and Balto continued, Steele had the upper paw on Balto and he was getting injured pretty badly.

Steele just looked at Balto and laughed, but then Steele’s expression turned to one of shock when he saw Balto glowing.

“What was that wolf-dog?” Steele shouted.

Steele again jumped on Balto, but this time Balto knocked Steele off of him with his hind legs and sent him off the edge of Bear Rock.

“It’s over,” said Balto.

“It is not over yet my canine friend.” said the voice of Xemnas as he appeared in front of Balto.

Balto just looked at him and growled through his teeth. “What do you mean it ain’t over?”

Xemnas pointed to the edge of Bear Rock.

Balto turned and was shocked to see what was happening.

At the edge of the rock formation, Steele was pulling himself back up, but he was not himself anymore.

“He surrendered his heart to the darkness and has been reborn as a Heartless.”

Balto and the gang were surprised to see that Steele was now a Heartless.

Steele formed a dark barrier around him and Balto. “This ends here now wolf-dog!”

Steele sent out a barrage of attacks at Balto and he could not dodge them in time.

“Balto! Shouted Jenna.

Balto fell to the ground on his back.

Steele raised his paw above Balto’s head. “Say good-bye wolf-dog.”

Balto closed his eyes waiting for the paw to come crashing down on him but it didn’t. When he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see that in his mouth was a sword.

Balto just turned his head to the right and Steele feel back.

Jenna looked at Sora.

“Sora what is that?”

“I think that is the weapon that Aniu told us about and it appears that Balto is the one to wield it.”

Steele was staring at Balto holding his new weapon.

“I don’t care what that is. I am still going to kill you!” shouted Steele as he charged at Balto.

Before Steele collided with Balto, Balto held the sword in the air and a barrier protected him from Steele’s attack.

When Steele collided with the barrier it knocked him out.

“Finish him!” shouted Donald.

Balto knew he had to do it, but deep down he didn’t. He plunged the blade through his opponent and the dark barrier vanished.

Balto dropped the blade and fell to the ground.

Jenna walked up to Balto.

“Balto are you alright?”

“Even though I never got along with him, I never wanted to kill him.”

“But he changed into a Heartless because of the magic Xemnas possessed.”

“Let’s go home Jenna,” Balto said as he went to retrieve his sword, which then disappeared.

“Where did it go?” said Balto.

“Don’t worry. It is just like us. You think about holding it and it will appear,” said Sora.

Balto closed his eyes and pictured himself holding the new sword he now called “the wolf blade.” When he opened his eyes, in his jaw was the blade.

“Balto you better keep your sword out just incase we have a few surprises.”

Back in Nome…

“How long are they going to be gone?” said Dusty.

“I don’t know,” said Kodi.

Suddenly they heard a scream outside. There were the wolf-like Heartless.

Balto and the group were about five miles from Nome.

“Let’s stop and rest,” said Sora.

Balto, Jenna and Aleu were resting, but Balto still had a firm grip on his new weapon.

Ten minutes later they continued toward home, but when they got to a hill that overlooked Nome, they were surprised at what they saw.

Chapter 7: The Surprise

Nome, Alaska

What Balto, Jenna and Aleu saw made their jaws drop.

“What is that thing?” said Aleu.

“It’s Hollow Bastion,” said Sora.

“Let’s go,” said Balto.

“Wait my son,” said Aniu’s voice in Balto’s mind.

Suddenly, Balto skidded to a halt.

“Why did you stop Balto?” said Jenna.

Balto remained quiet.

Balto was speaking to his mother in his mind.

“What’s wrong mother?”

“My son, the whole town has been taken captive by Xemnas.”

Balto growled with a rage he never felt before.

“I am going to get him for what his has done.”

“I can sense you found the weapon I told you about,” said Aniu.

“Why didn’t you tell me I was the one to own it?” said Balto.

“I did not want you to avoid your destiny,” said Aniu.

“What destiny?” said Balto.

“Your destiny is to keep Kingdom Wolves protected from darkness,” said Aniu.

Balto suddenly gasped.

“Papa, what’s wrong?” said Aleu.

“Your grandmother just told me that the whole town, dogs and people, have been taken prisoner by Xemnas.”
“My son, I forgot to tell you. You have the power to change Sora and his friends into wolves or dogs. It will be easier if they are like that,” said Aniu.

“Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald, Goofy, stay still,” Balto said as he held his wolf blade in the air.

Magic started to swirl around them and when it was done, Sora and his friends did not look like humans anymore. Sora looked like a two year old brown wolf. Riku was a black and grey wolf. Kairi was a light tan wolf. And Donald and Goofy were grey wolves.

“What happened?” Kairi said.

“I turned you five into wolves to make it easier for us to get everyone out of that place.”

“What have you done tome!” shouted Donald.

“Take it easy Donald,” said Jenna. “ My husband knows what he is doing, right Balto?”

Balto just nodded his head.

When they reached the bottom of the hill they walked into town and saw a flurry of footprints and paw prints.

“Oh no,” Jenna said suddenly.

“What is it, Mom?” said Aleu.

Aleu saw the sad look on her mother’s face when she saw that she was holding a leather harness that had the name “Kodi” on it.

“Don’t worry Jenna, we’ll get your friends and family back safely,” said Riku.

Balto looked at the castle with his blade in his jaw.

“This is going to end here,” Balto said.

They all started to run toward the castle and to the upcoming battle.

Chapter 8: The Rescue.

Entrance to Hollow Bastion

As the three dogs and the five who were turned to wolves ran toward the castle, Donald tripped over his feet for the fifth time.

“I can’t take this no more!” shouted Donald.

“Take it easy Donald. It is not that hard,” said Aleu.

“Well, you walk on all fours. I only walk on two,” said Donald.

“Well, let’s get this over with,” said Sora.

Balto shot his howling blaster at the door and it flew open.

Meanwhile in the underground cell of the castle, Dusty was worried.

Kodi looked over at his mate and also started to worry. Kodi started to think about what happened just hours ago.

-Flashback-

“I wonder how long they will be gone?” said Saba.

“Don’t worry sis. Mom and Dad will be fine. Remember Sora and his friends are with them,” said Dingo.

“Well, let’s get some rest,” said Kodi.

The dogs that were asleep in the boiler room had a warm room.

Rosy was at home and she was worried about Balto and Jenna.

The General Store owner was closing the store for the night and when he turned, there was a wolf-like Heartless.

“Ah, Heartless!” shouted the owner.

When Kodi heard the scream, he woke the others up.

“Wake up! They’re back.”

When the dogs ran outside of the boiler room, they saw about one thousand Heartless.

But what Kodi saw behind the Heartless is what scared him: a giant one-eyed monster.

Standing next to him was a blue human with a flame for hair. It was Hades.

“Go get all the humans and their dogs from this town.”

“Okay.”

Everyone in the town was running, and the dogs were barking.

-End Flashback-

Kodi was now hoping his family would return soon.

But what he did not know is that they were already inside.

When they were inside, they were searching, and now that they were all wolves (with the exception of Jenna) they used their sense of smell tot locate them.

“They’re below us,” said Aleu.

“Stand back. Sora can you levitate me in the air?” said Balto.

“Sure,” said Sora.

Sora lifted Balto in the air and when Balto was high enough, he fired his holwing blaster at the floor, then had Sora lower him down.

When Balto was down, he saw the prison with the entire town,

“Dad!” said Kodi.

When Rosy heard Kodi bark, she saw why.

“Balto!”

Rosy was happy to see Balto and so was the rest of the town.

When Rosy was Captain Hook sneaking up on Balto, she yelled.

“Balto watch out!”

Balto turned just in time and had the wolf blade ready and stopped Hook’s own sword.

Everyone in the cell was shocked at what their hero was holding.

“Mangy mutt,” said Hook. “I’ll be back.”

After Hook left, everyone else was down in the lower area.

Balto walked up to the bar doors and slashed at them with his blade.

The town was happy, but at the same time shocked to see Balto holding a weapon.

“How did he get that?” said Rosy.

Balto forgot and changed Sora and the others back to normal.

“Sora, those wolves were you and your friends,” said Rosy.

“To answer your question, Rosy, Balto was destined to find this weapon and help us.”

What happened next was unexpected, Xemnas acquired the wolf blade and pierced Balto’s heart with it.

“Nooooo!” shouted Jenna.

“Now that the wolf blade master is gone, he won’t be giving me anymore problems,” said Xemnas.

Jenna laid her head on Balto’s lifeless body. She tried to use the magic healing ability that Aniu gave her, but it did not work.

The whole town noticed that Balto’s body was starting to vanish until it was gone.

Xemnas threw the wolf blade to the ground.

“I don’t need this anymore.”

All of the dogs started to growl at him for what he did, and then he vanished.

“I’ll get him for what he did to my husband,” said Jenna.

“Calm down. We can’t rush in,” said Riku.

“Let’s just get out of here,” said Kairi as tears flowed down her face.

After everyone left, a wolf-like Heartless appeared and followed them.

When everyone was outside, they realized how sad they felt that Balto was gone.

When Rosy turned she saw the Heartless.

“Stay back!”

What surprised her was that it listened to her. Then she saw all kinds of Heartless appearing in the town.

Jenna then thought Could this Heartless be Balto? Then she sensed it was him.

“Now it’s my turn to protect you,” said Jenna as she embraced him in a canine hug.

Then a bright light appeared and Jenna was once again hugging her mate.

Sora walked up to Balto and held out the wolf blade.

“I think this is yours.”

Balto walked up to Sora after he let go of his embrace with Jenna.

When Balto saw all of the Heartless that were appearing in the town, he knew what to do.

“Everyone cover your ears!” shouted Sora.

Balto used his “howling wail” on the Heartless, defeating every single one of them.

“Sora, what is going on?” asked Rosy.

Before Sora could answer the ground started to shake and, at the entrance to the town appeared two big doors with a wolf’s face.

Chapter 9: The Battle Within

Nome, Alaska

At the entrance of the town was the doorway to Kingdom Wolves.

“This is it,” said Sora.

“Is this what that bad man is looking for?” said Rosy.

“Yes.”

Balto walked up to Sora and used his head to say, “Come over here.”

“Yeah.”

“My mother told me it was my destiny to protect this doorway from the forces of darkness.”

“So, you are the chosen one to protect Kingdom Wolves.”

“I guess so, I wonder what my wife is going to say.”

The two just started to laugh but then they stopped when a dark aura started to appear around the whole town.

“What’s going on?” said Rosy.

“I don’t know, dear,” said her mother.

Sora and the group looked around the whole area.

“This can’t be good,” said Balto.

Xemnas then appeared with the cyclops monster and what was left of his followers.

“Keyblade master, wolf blade master. This is where it ends,” said Xemnas.

“Xemnas, I stopped you twice. What makes you think you will succeed?”

Before anyone knew it, the town of Nome was enveloped in a dome of dark energy.
“Why are you doing this?” said Rosy.

“Why am I doing this? Power. Absolute power is what I desire,” said Xemnas.

“Sora and his friends will stop you.”

“They can try, but this time they will fail,” Xemnas said as he fired a blast of dark magic at Rosy.

“Rosy!” screamed her parents.

Before the blast hit her, she was knocked down by Jenna.

“Rosy’s parents ran up to her and petted Jenna’s head.

Jenna just looked at Xemnas and growled at him.

“What are you going to do to me, mutt?”

Jenna looked at her owners.

“How dare you attack her.”

Rosy and her family just looked at Jenna.

“Mom, did Jenna just talk?” said Rosy.

Jenna just jumped at Xemnas and bit his arm.

“Stupid mutt!” Xemnas shouted as he hit Jenna with his dark energy sword.

Balto, Aleu, Kodi, Saba and Dingo ran up to her.

“Mom, are you alright?” said Aleu.

“Yeah, Aleu. I’m fine,” Jenna said as Balto walked up to her with his blade in his mouth. He held it over her and held her just to be safe.

Balto looked at Xemnas and his followers with anger burning in his eyes.

“How dare you attack my mate!”

Balto shot his howling blaster at full power toward the giant, destroying him.

Xemnas was now angry.
“Leave.”

“What do you mean, leave,” said Captain Hook.

“I said GO!” shouted Xemnas.

The rest of his followers obeyed and left.

Sora ran up to Balto.

The whole town was gathered behind Balto and Sora.

“I will still open Kingdom Wolves. All I have to do is sacrifice the sacred wolf.”

“Well, you won’t find the sacred wolf,” said Sora.

“I don’t need to look,” he said as he looked at Balto.

-Flashback-

Xemnas was now getting impatient because he could not find out how to open Kingdom Wolves.

Xemnas walked over to Maleficent.

“Ask your mirror how to open the door way.

She walked over to a wall with a big round mirror.

“Mirror, Mirror on the wall. Tell us how to open Kingdom Wolves.”

The mirror replied, “”To open Kingdom Wolves you must sacrifice the sacred wolf.”

“And who is the sacred wolf?”

“The sacred wolf is the hero of the town of Nome,” said the mirror as it showed Balto.

“So, the wolf blade master is not only the guardian but also the one to open it,” said Xemnas.

-End Flashback-

Balto was now keeping his guard up due to the way Xemnas was looking at him.

Xemnas surrounded Balto in a ball of dark energy and it started to become smaller.
“Oh no you don’t,” said Sora.

A barrier formed before Sora could stop Xemnas from sacrificing his friend.

Jenna was now getting worried but Rosy’s father held her back.

“Let me go. Balto needs me.”

“Jenna, you can’t go,” said Rosy’s father, even though he was actually talking to his daughter’s dog.

Jenna started to sob.

“Balto!”

Suddenly a bright light appeared in front of Jenna that stopped time and, to her surprise, standing in the light was her mother and father.

“Mom! Dad! What is happening?”

“Dear, we are here to give you some help,” said her mother Annabelle.

“We were told by the white wolf Aniu to give this to you,” said her father Ben.

He handed her a blade that had a heart at the end of the handle.

“This is the blade of love. The reason this blade belongs to you is because of how much you love Balto, but this sword was born out of your heart.”

“Good luck, dear, and we will miss you,” said her mother.

The light then subsided and in Jenna’s mouth was her new sword and she managed to get free of the tight grip that Rosy’s father had on her bandana.

“Jenna, come back!” shouted Rosy.

“Was she holding a blade in her mouth?” said Rosy’s mother.

Jenna ran by Sora and jumped at Xemnas. She collided with the barrier. She broke through and the sword collided with the arm that was crushing Balto.

Balto fell to the ground not moving and everyone feared the worst.

Jenna walked up to Balto to see if he was okay, but he was breathing faintly. She places her paw on him and he woke with a gasp.
“You miserable mutt! How dare you stop me from what I am destined to do!” shouted Xemnas.

Sora walked up to Balto and Jenna. “You guys ready?”

Jenna just nodded her head.

“Jenna, I want you to stay out of this,” said Balto.

“But why?”

“Because I don’t want you to get hurt. I’ll be fine, I promise.”

“Okay, but come back to us safe.”

“Let’s go Balto.”

When Sora and Balto knew everyone was at a safe distance, they combined blades to form an invisible wall to protect the people.

Balto looked to the sky.

“Mother. Please give us the strength to triumph.”

Sora used a magic that Balto had never seen before.

“Give me courage,” Sora said as a blue cloud appeared around him. Then it turned into a blue creature.

Genie was firing blasts of magic at Xemnas, but he was deflecting them as if they were nothing.

“I guess I am done now,” said Genie.

Balto used his howling blaster, and Xemnas dodged it, and he appeared in front of Balto and grabbed him by his throat.

“Balto!”

Sora started to run toward them but Xemnas was emitting dark energy and lighting bolts and Sora was having a hard time dodging them.

When Sora reached them he saved Balto but not before Xemnas sent a wave a dark magic through Balto’s body.

Balto slowly started to stand up and he handed Sora the wolf blade before he passed out.

Xemnas knew this was his chance to sacrifice Balto, but Sora stopped him with the power of the two blades.

Balto looked at the door way to Kingdom Wolves and thought very hard and it disappeared.

Xemnas turned around and saw that it was gone.

“What have you done?”

“I sent it somewhere far away where you won’t be able to find it,” Balto said. Then he passed out again.

Xemnas disappeared and so did the dark barrier around the town.

Chapter 10: What happens now

Nome, Alaska

Sora was carrying Balto in his arms to the rest of the town. He gently laid him down on the snow-covered ground.

Jenna walked up to him and she sensed he was not moving or breathing. She tried to heal him again but it did not work.

The entire town feared that their hero was lost until a strong gust of wind blew in.

The wind circled in front of Balto and Aniu appeared again.

“Get that wolf away from him,” said the General store owner.

“Don’t worry, the wolf won’t hurt him,” said Kairi.

“How do you know that?”

“Why would a mother hurt her own son,” said Donald.

“That wolf is his mother?” said Rosy.

Aniu walked up to Jenna and the rest of the family.

Aniu sent a wave of her spirit through his body to bring him to life again, and she got him to move again.

“Thank you, Aniu,” said Jenna.

“It was nothing my child. I must go now. Take care my son,” Aniu said as she then vanished.

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard from above everyone’s head. They looked up to see what looked like a plane.

“What is that?” said Rosy.

“It’s our Gummi ship,” said Sora. “I guess the king could tell we needed it.

When the ship landed, two chipmunks came out.

“Here you guys go,” said Dale.

“The king sent us to find you and bring it to you,” said Chip.

“Oh yeah, he is here with us,” said Dale.

When they saw the king come out, they gave him respect.

“So, Sora, did you stop Xemnas?” said King Mickey.

“Not yet.”

“Your majesty, we would like you to meet the guardian of Kingdom Wolves. He is also the wolf blade master,” said Goofy.

The king walked up to Balto and bowed before him.

“Thanks for helping Sora and his friends out with this problem.”

“It was nothing, your highness,” said Balto.

“Well guys, let’s go find him,” said Sora.

“Wait!”

They stopped and turned around. Rosy went up to them.

“I’ve been wanting to ask you something,” said Rosy.

“Sure. What is it, Rosy.”

“Can you and your friends actually speak to dogs?” She asked finally. “I mean speak their language.”

Sora and his friends were shocked with surprise. Everyone else was too, but they were also waiting for Sora’s reply.

“Yes we can.”

Everyone gasped.

“And there’s something else you should know. We are not from this time period. We are from the future.”

The townspeople gasped. Usually they would have thought that he was telling fairy tales, but after what had happened, they were ready to believe anything.

“We were trying to stop Xemnas, but we did not know where we were going to end up. We decided to stay in Balto’s home and that is when we heard Jenna scream.

Balto barked at Sora.

“You want to come with us? Are you sure that is a good idea? You could get hurt again, or worse.”

“What did he say?” said Rosy’s father.

“He wants to come with us and stop Xemnas and to keep Kingdom Wolves from being opened. He wants to make sure that we will be alright and to make sure Xemnas is gone for good. Balto doesn’t want Nome to disappear and be covered in darkness. He loves and cares for Nome and the people and dogs who live here.”

“Balto, you can’t go,” said Rosy as she hugged him tightly. “Don’t go Balto, you might not come back.”

Balto nuzzled her and camly barked in her ear.

“What did he tell me?”

“He said that you don’t have to worry. He’ll come back. He swears to everyone else that no matter what happens to him he will find a way back to Nome.

Jenna also barked at them.

“And Jenna said that she is going to also go.”

“Jenna, you ain’t going anywhere,” said Rosy’s mother.

Jenna just let out a whimper.

“The reason she wants to go is because Aniu gave her power to heal anyone and it may coe in handy. She also has the sword of love that can break any dark barrier.”

“Okay, she can go. Balto you promise to take care of her.”

Balto just barked.

“Sora, we need to get going,” said the king.

Everyone started clapping. They were cheering for Sora and his friends and also for their hero Balto. Balto and his friends and family just howled.

“Thanks guys, but we haven’t stopped Xemnas yet.”

“You two come back home to us,” said Aleu.

“Don’t worry, honey, your father and I will be back,” said Jenna.

When everyone got onto the Gummi ship it started to take off and then it disappeared.

Deep in the night the winds blow cold,
And in a heartbeat, the fear takes hold.
Deep in the storm, there's a place that's soft and still,
Where the road waits to be taken, if you only will.
The voices inside you can lead you so astray,
Believe in what you dream,
don't turn away, don't you turn away.

“Will they be back?” said Kodi.

Reach for the light,
you might touch the sky.
Stand on a mountain top, and see yourself flying.
Reach for the light,
To capture a star,
Come out of the darkness and find out who you are.

“I don’t know, bro, I really don’t know,” said Dingo.

Somewhere in time the truth shines through,
And the spirit knows what it has to do.
Somewhere in you there's a power with no name,
It can rise to meet the moment and burn like a flame.
And you can be stronger than any fear you know,
Hold onto what you you see don't let it go, don't you let it go.

Reach for the light,
you might touch the sky.
Stand on a mountain top, and see yourself flying.
Reach for the light,
To capture a star,
Come out of the darkness and find out who you are.

There's no turning back.
Your destiny is calling.
Listen to the thunder roar,
And let your heart break free.

Oooh, Reach for the light!

Reach for the light,
you might touch the sky.
Stand on a mountain top, and see yourself flying.
Reach for the light,
To capture a star,
Come out of the darkness and find out who you are.

Reach for the light,
you might touch the sky.
Stand on a mountain top, and see yourself flying.
Reach for the light,
To capture a star,
Come out of the darkness and find out who you are.

Yeah! Yes reach for the light.

The End?
