*Sleddog kennel in Nome, Razzo is under shelf Arsemis is perched on, Damin is standing by front door, Rosebud is in a pink bed, Smacky is wearing Indiana Jones' blue bandanna and laying on the floor, Indiana Jones is in a different room, sleeping. There is a gentle hum of a generator.*<br />Razzo: "It's gonna be a long day tomorrow, guys. Let's get some rest. I's gonna be dark real soon. There's no point in going out now. Damin? Something wrong?"<br />Damin: "I just...I'll see you guys later. There's something I have to do. It's really important."<br />Arsemis: "What more important then running-and winning-Iditarod?"<br />Damin: "I don't know, it's just-"<br />Razzo: "Listen, my dad set the course for that race and this team and Steele's team are the only two teams competing. My dad is gonna be extremely upset with me if we don't win that race simply because you didn't get enough sleep tonight, Damin. Steele's team is already sleeping. And we want to get up earlier then they do."<br />Arsemis: "More time to eat the food. No stomachaches on the way. Really imporant to Razzo. Damin, we win this."<br />Smacky: "You can tell english ain't her first language."<br />Arsemis: "Here words I know: Shut up."<br />Smacky: "Geez lady didn't have to be so upset!"<br />Arsemis: "Words again: SHUT UP!"<br />Razzo: "Nice one, Arsemis. With your team spirit, we'll win this Iditarod-the first ever! First winners of the Iditarod! Can you believe that, Arsemis, Smacky, Rosebud, Damin? We are so gonna kick the butts offa Steele's team! There's no way they'll beat us!"<br />Rosebud: "I'm not so sure. Indy said he wasn't feeling too well. And if he's feeling sick... They are gonna kick our tails strait to China!!"<br />Razzo: "He'll be fine by morning, right? I mean, he's feeling bad all the time. Surely..."<br />Rosebud: "It's not going to go away."<br />Arsemis: "What you mean? We can't have him ill. He fast. He help. He will lead us to win. No him...we lose. As you say, 'Big Time.'"<br />Everyone: "Agreed!"<br />Damin: *Leaves room*<br />Rosebud: "But if Indy's ill...Who will lead us to the trophy? He's our second lead dog besides Razzo. He's navigator. He's fast."<br />Razzo: "I know! The fastest wolf in Alaska!"<br />Arsemis: *Hops down from shelf* "Balto? He only half wolf. He can't be who you talking about."<br />Razzo: "He isn't. I'm talkin' bout Eclipse. She is the fastest wolfdog ever. I mean, seriously! Her brother won't race her. I'm gonna go get her. She's got to help us. If not, we'll lose." *Looks at Arsemis* "Big time."<br />Rosebud: But will they let her in? She's only quarter husky. Don't they have a rule you have to be at least-"<br />Razzo: "Canine. You have to be canine. Eclipse is canine. She looks like a siberian husky. They'll let her in. They have to. For our sake, they'll let her in! I am the son of the greatest dog in Nome. Eclipse is my neice- my sister's daughter. Now, tell me more about Indy's illness. I want to know why he can't race."<br />Rosebud: "Full report, Sir Razzo. Can I, uh, speak with you privately about it?"<br />Razzo: "Of course."<br />*Rosebud and Razzo walk into the engine room of the sleddog kennel.*<br />Rosebud: "Indy is not ill physically, I can tell. He is ill mentally. Something is bothering him. He won't talk. He won't eat. He is nervous. I'm scared for him. I know what's wrong, but..."<br />Razzo: "But WHAT?"<br />Rosebud: "He'll never forgive me. Not if I tell you. And I'll never forgive myself."<br />Razzo: "Something wrong, Rosebud? Do you have something to do with this? Are you going to be the reason we lose the Iditarod? Because we are!"<br />Rosebud: "Razzo, I don't care if you're our lead dog, you have to stay out of me and Indy's business because we're-"<br />Razzo: *growls* "You're what?"<br />Rosebud: "I'm sorry, I can't tell you."<br />Razzo: "Now you're hiding something! I can't believe this! You swore the truth! And now you're trying to hide the very fact that's going to make us lose the Iditarod! I am very disappointed in you, Rosebud! And Indiana Jones, too! You are both off tomorrow's team! <span style="font-style: italic;">Gah! </span>I'm going to get Eclipse and Jesse." *Runs out of room*<br />Arsemis: "What wrong?"<br />Smacky: "Razzo Razzo come back we're gonna need you for tomorrow you can't run off now come back come back."<br />Razzo: "I will! I'm going to see you tomorrow. I can't stay here tonight."<br />Arsemis: "But why? You need rest."<br />Razzo: "Ask Rosebud."<br />Smacky: *Turns head towards Rosebud's room* "Rose Rosebud are you there because-"<br />Rosebud: *crying into blanket*<br />Arsemis: "We not talk to her. Upset."<br />Smacky: *nods head*<br /><br />*20 minutes later, Indiana Jones' room. Rosebud and Indy are the only ones in the room. Rosebud is crying.*<br /><br />Rosebud: "But Indy...how do we let them know without making it worse and worse and worse?"<br />Indy: "I don't know baby. We'll find out a way. Or should we just let it happen?"<br />Rosebud: "I don't know, Indy. I don't know."<br /><br />*At the same time, Nome forest, Razzo is heading in the snow towards Eclipse's den.*<br /><br />Razzo: I really hope she'll join us. We need her. "Eclipse?"<br />Eclipse: *Walks out of den* "Razzo? Uncle Razzo? Why are you here, Uncle Razzo? Iditarod is tomorrow! You should be resting!"<br />Razzo: "Well, I, uh...kicked two members out and now we need two more. I was wondering if you would join us? It would sure make Balto proud."<br />Eclipse: "Le gasp! Of course! But whyever-and whoever-did you kick out?"<br />Razzo: "Rosebud and Indiana Jones. They're keeping something from me, and I don't like it. Indy is ill, mentally, and he can't compete. I need you and Jesse to help me in the race."<br />Eclipse: "Well, o'course I help you. Sure Uncle Jesse will too...but why me?"<br />Razzo: "You're the fastest dog I know. And that's a compliment."<br />Eclipse: "OK... but do you have a hint of what they're keeping from you?"<br />Razzo: "No."<br />
