New Home

Danny walked back and forth, waiting, waitin for his human to let him in, to see his puppies. Each moment seemed to last a year, he'd never been so scared. Then, the door was open.

He peered inside, he saw his human, the vet, but, he could't see his mate. He walked in and looked over his human. There, there she was, smiling, and licking her five puppies. A tear fell down his face. And he smiled.

6 months later.

Sarah and Danny leid on the front porch, watching their five puppies play. "I love how all the humans that live on our street adopted the puppies." Sarah said. "All but one. He kept, Rojo, the one that looks mosty like you." Danny pointed. "I know wich one he is!" Sarah said.

"Just be happy we have one." Danny replyd. Sarah nodded. They watched their pups go back to their new homes, one at a time, until only Rojo was left. "Rojo, dear, come on in." Sarah called. "Coming!" He answered.

Rojo mostly looked like his mother, he was mainly red, wich was the reason he got his name. Rojo means red, so thats what his name was.

"Momma, why didn't I get a new home?" He asked. "Well, our human wanted to keep one of my puppies, so he chose you." Sarah explained. "Well, why does dad hate me?" He asked. "Oh! Rojo! He doesn't hate you, he, he-". "I knew it! He hates me." Rojo said, running out of the house.

"Rojo! Come back!" Sarah called. He ignored her, he climed onto somthing, he couldn't tell what, then he fell into a crate. Sarah followed his scent. She saw his tail, sticking out of the crate, then she saw the lid placed on top. No...

She saw it being placed onto he truck, and she could hear his cries for help. "Momma! Momma!" He cried.

Then, the truck started, and began to leave. She chased after it. "Rojo! Rojo!" She cried. "Mommma! Momma! Help!" she heard his cries one last time, and the truck was gone.

The truck stoped, and unloaded it. The box Rojo was in was unloaded. He jumped, shook, and did what ever he could to get out. One man opend the box, and he took off. "Momma? Momma? Where are you?" He shouted. He sat under a wooden gate. "Where am I? Where's mommy?" He asked himself.

A week later, Rojo was famished. He callapsed infront of a pourch and whined. "Momma.. Momma." He repeated. A man steped out after hearing his cries. "Oh my gosh!" He said and took the puppy in. He called the vet, and Rojo was taken to the animal hospital.

A few weeks later, the man came back to get the puppy. "Whats his name, he's a sweet pup." One vet asked. "Oh, he's just like my dad, Thomas. But the pups name is, Jason Thomas." The man said. The vet nodded and handed the pup to him and they left.

After they got home, he put Rojo, or now, Jason Thomas, down on a rug. "Well, JT, what do you think? Im Jason, I hope you'll like it here." Jason said and sat on the couch. JT smiled and jumped on the couch with him. "You crazy pup." Jason laughed.

Two years later...

JT had been living with Jason for about two years now, and was about three or four.

He was walking in between two houses, he was on his way home. Then, he began to hear a sound. Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud. "Let me go!" He heard, what sounded like, a female, a young one.

He heard another voice. "I don't think so." It said. He peered around the corner. He saw a grey pup, surounded by larg males. "BACK OFF!" He said, jumping infront of the pup. "Stay away from, my.. neice!" JT snarled. "Or what?" The largest one asked, watching some is teammates run off.

He looked the dog strait in the eye. Then, the last few dogs ran away. He turned to face the yearling, who had a very scared look on her face.

There was a pause. "Thank you, stranger." The yearling said." "My name is JT, wich is short for Jason Thomas. Whats your name?" He said. "Anna, Wich is short for Annabell." She answered. JT nodded. "So, where are your mom and dad?" He asked.

"I don't have a dad!" Anna retorted. "Oh, sorry, well where is you mom. You have a mom, right?" Anna nodded. "I'll help you find her." Jt said, turning. "Wait!" Anna said. He stoped for her to catch up.

As they walked, neither of them talked, at first. "How long have you been here?" Anna asked. "Wow, most of my life, I wasn't born here, tho. I used to live realy far away from here, in a town called Nenana. But when I was very young, I fell into a crate, and was taken here." JT explained.

Woah... Anna thought. "What happend after that?" She asked. "Hmhm, I thought you'd ask that." JT started. "I wonderd around, I was scared to death. I was alone for about a week. Then I was taken in, by a nice, single man. Named Jason, wich is half the reason I got my name." He chuckled.

"Now, its my turn to ask the questions." He laughed. "But I have another question!" Anna shouted. "Why did you call me your, neice." She asked. "Oh, just to make them think we were related, and that I was protecting you. Do you have an uncle?".

Anna shook her head. "What about an aunt?". "Yes! Her name is Angie! But she is the only other relative I have, other than my mom." Anna said.

"Well then, just call me your uncle JT from now on!" JT cheered. "Realy! Thats so cool! I never had an uncle before! I-I.. wow." She cheered aswell. JT just giggled. "Anna!" A voice shouted. "Momma!" Anna replyd.

After JT met Anna's mom, who's name was Dakota, and her aunt Angie, he became Anna's 'uncle'. Not her real one. But he felt bad about her tiny family.

Six months later..

Anna pulled on JT's ear. "Ow! Ow! Ow, ya crazy pup let go!" JT laughed. Anna released her grip. "You gotta pair of jaws there Anna." He added. "Thanks uncle JT!" Anna barked.

"Im oing for a walk Anna, stay here!" he heard Dakota call before running off. He looked back at Angie, he loved Angie, more than almost anything. But she sadly didn't know.

"Uncle JT?" Anna said. "Are you ever gonna tell aunt Angie that you love her?" She asked. He turned to look at her. How did she know this? "Wha-psh-pfff. I don't love her like that! What gives you that idea?" He studderd.

"Cuz you stare at her all the time, and talk to her lots, and talk about her lots." Anna said. "OK! I get it. But don't tell her, OK, hun?" He asked. Anna nodded. "Your secrets safe with me!" She smiled.

"Can we have some alone time?" He asked, she nodded and got up to leave. He walked over. "Hey, Angie." He smiled. "Hey JT. Where's Anna going?" She asked. "She said she was going home, so I let her." He answered.

They talked for a few ours, then, night fell. "Come on, I'll walk you home." JT said. "Oh, thank you." Angie said in a low voice. Just as they started walking, it began snowing. It got harder, and harder.

"My house it to far!" Angie cried. "Lets go to my place!" JT replyd. They walked a few menuts before walking into JT's house. Jason what asleep in his room.

"Come on, lets go in here, its warmer." JT said, pointing to the larg closet. He closed the door about half way, just incase Jason got up, he wouldn't see them. Angie lied down next to him after he lied down. He closed his eye's and fell asleep.

He woke, and found he was in the same spot, just one thing was different. Angie had her head under his, he stood gently and walked out. Jason had left for work. He ate some of his food, and waited for Angie to wake up.

Angie woke, finding herself alone. She walked out and found JT. "I see your awake." JT chuckled. "Hhhaaaaaaaah, yeah." Angie yawned. He walked her to the door. "I hope you had a good time, Angie." JT smiled.

A few days later, JT made up his mind. He WAS going to tell Angie the truth, what he had felt about her for so long. He set out to find her.

Just as he turned a corner, he heard Angie scream. "Oh no!" He said and ran twards the sound. He found Angie but she wasn't alone.

"BA-" He began. But he saw saw that she was, nuzzling this dog. He was taken aback. "Hey JT, whats wrong?" He heard Dakota ask. He looked at her, then he to Angie. "Hey JT! This is-" Angie stoped after he looked at her with tears falling down his face.

At first, she didn't know why he was crying, then, after thinking about it, she realized he loved her, and seeing her with this dog, he was heartbroken. "Ja--"She started, but he already running away.
