A few weeks later.....
I limped over to Scott,"Hey,"I say.
"Hey Anna!How are you doing?"Scott asked.
"Eh,fine I guess,I can finaly limp,"I reply.
"That's good."Scott said.
"So,what's going on?"I ask.
"Nothing much,"Scott said.
"Oh c'mon your acting all not yourself!Tell me what's up!"i say.
"I-i saw my father,in my dreams but he wasn't the same.He was jumpy and scared and not himself."Scott said.
"Oh,that's weird.Did you try asking him what was wrong?"I asked confused.
"Yeah,but he wouldn't say anything.He kept flinching and wouldn't look at me."Scott said looking at his paws.
"Oh I'm sor-"I start to say but Dimitri came up and cut me off.
"Hey there you two!"Dimitri said patting Scott on the head.
"Your lucky to have this boy,Annabell,"Dimitri said winking then it got really awkward.
I gave Scott a questioning look then looked up at Dimitri and tilted my head.
"Oh,so he hasn't told you?"Dimitri asked.
I shook my head in reply and kept glancing at Scott who was looking at his paws and smiling slightly.I looked back up at Dimitri.
"This little boy is very fond of you Annabell.When you had your little accident he wouldn't leave your side.The vet said he couldn't be in the room when the were taking care of you.They tried to keep him in the waiting room with me but he bit the vet.He literally would not leave your side!"Dimitri said.
I gasped and looked at Scott who was staring at me,smiling.Dimitri left and I leaned foward and kissed Scott.I didn't know what I was doing but I knew that I liked Scott,a lot.
I pulled away to see that Scott looked dazed and I laughed and hugged him,ignoring the pain in my paw.I pulled back again and just looked at Scott,who was still dazed.He shook his head and snapped out of it and I laughed.He laughed too and stared back at me.
3 months later.........
I woke up that morning feeling great.Today I was a year old.I looked at Scott who was still asleep next to me.I shook him to wake him up.
"Hm?"He said sleepily and sat up.
"I'm a year old!"I exclaimed tackling Scott in a hug.
"Hey,woah there!"Scott said as i tackled him."Congrats!"he said.
"Thanks!"I said letting him up.Then I thought for a moment,"I want to go somewhere.And I want you to come with me,"I said.
"Um..okay,where exactly?"He asked confused.
"It's a suprise!"I said,"C'mon!"I added then took off and ran through the dog door.
I looked back to see if Scott was following.He was and trotted up next to me.
"I can tell you this,it's in the forest."I said.
"I think I have an idea where we're going now."Scott said.
I smiled and dashed off through Nome.People yelling at Scott and I as we passed.We laughed and just kept running.We reached the the edge of the forest.I took a deep breath as I walked into the forest.I looked back at Scott who was smiling at me.I smiled back then continued on.
I started to sniff the air and followed the most familiar scents.We got deeper in the forest as i could smell what I had been searching for.I smiled as I krept through the trees I peered through the bushes in front of me.I gasped as I saw it,my old home.I think Ben had heard me because he came trotting out of the cave.He looked as big as ever.He did look suspicious though.
He looked my way and back out of the bushes and bumped into Scott who stepped on a twig wich then snapped and We both gasp.I swore under my breath I saw Ben walking towards the bushes I was just in.Ben appeared in the bushes and saw us.Apparently he didn't recognize me and started growling.
"Who are you?What are you doing here?"He demanded.
"I-I Ben!Ben it's me!"i said excitedly and tackled him playfully.
"Get off of me!Who the heck are-"He began to say then he actualy looked at me for the first time."Anna?Annabell?Is that really you?"He asked hs eyes getting wide.
"Yeah!It's me Ben it's me!"I said hugging him.
"Oh my gosh,Anna!"Ben said jumping up from where he was on the ground."MOM!"Ben called.
I looked at him confused,"Why did you only call mom?Where's Tyke?"I asked as I looked back at Scott who was back in the shadows.Ben noticed me looking back and looked at Scott.
"Who's this?"He asked.
"nevermind that!Where's Tyke."I asked getting scared.
"Anna Tyke doesn't live with us anymore.Left us.He went on a journey with some people from another pack."Ben said sadly.
"A journey?What the heck!"I said.
"Anna let's take you inside the cave.You can bring your friend to."Ben said.
"Okay,c'mon Scott."I said motioning for Scott to come with us.He walked up next to me and nuzzled me quickly then we followed Ben.We reached the cave and I ran and hugged mom.I came out of the hug and looked at her.She looked very aged.
"Anna?Is that you!Your so beautiful!And whose this behind you!This handsome young man?Hm?"She asked with raised eyebrows.
"Mom this is Scott,and we're not mates,"I said mumbling the last part so Scott or Ben couldn't hear.
"Oh.Okay then.Well,happy birthday sweetie!"She said.
Anna looked at her confused then realized the whole reason she had come here."Oh,thanks mom!happy birthday Ben!"i said to him.He nodded and I looked at him weirdly.He was so serious.
"What's wrong with you bro!You're so serious!C'mon let's go race.Like we used to!"I said before I turned around toward the entrance of the cave to see a beautiful brown wolf at the entrance.I looked from her to Ben and raised my eyebrows at Ben and smiled.He smiled back and looked at the wolf in the entrance.He trotted forward and nuzzled her.
I looked at mom who was grimacing.I looked at her confused and she just nodded toward the wolf.I looked at her confused then looked at her.I trotted up to her.
"Hello,I'm Annabell!And my friend Scott!"I said.
"Whatever,I'm Brittany,why are you here anyway?"Brittany said in a very preppy,snoody voice.
"I'm Ben's sister.And why are you here?"I asked making sure I sounded kind of rude.
"Oh well I'm Ben's mate,"Brittany said,enphasizing the word 'mate'.
"Oh,you are?Well I'm very protective of my brother and if you do anything to hurt him,there is going to be some trouble,"I said.
"Oh we'll see."She said low enough so that Ben couldn't hear.
Scott walked up next to me.He was baring his teeth and I could hear low growling.
"Don't you dare talk to her that way Brittany,"Scott said defensively.
"Oh so your boyfriend thinks he's tough huh?"Brittany said.She trotted over to Ben who was staring at Brittany blankly.She put on a pouty face,"Benny-Wenny,Annabell and her friend are being mean to me.S-S-Scott growled at me and looked scary.Like he was going to hurt me!"Brittany said then flashed me and Scott an evil smile.
I scowled at her.And started growling."Ben.She's a fake and a liar.She is going to break your heart eventualy and leave you in the dust,"I growled,slowly getting closer to Brittany.
Ben stepped in front of me and looked more intimidating then I could ever imagine."Get.Out."he said.
"Mom!You heard her!Don't let him-"i began then Ben started growling at me and Scott.
"GET OUT!"He yelled.
I stood up straight,"No.You can't make me."I said.
"Well why don't you leave.Like you did that day and never returned.You broke our hearts,Annabell."Ben said.
"Like I had a choice.But,you wouldn't understand.You're to dim witted to understand."I said before brushing past him.I glared at Brittany on my way out who returned the glare with a smile.
"C'mon Scott.I'm sorry I brought you here.I came here to enjoy myself but I fuess I'm not wanted."I said.
