Forever and ever hun 4

     We walk back to the house together,making small conversation along the way.When we get home we find a small sled on the porch.

"Our training will be starting soon!"Scott said as he trotted over to the sled.

"I know!"I say following and attempting to slip into one of the small harnesses with the help of Scott.We get tangled up and start to laugh.That gets us more tangled and we fall to the ground.We end up nose to nose.I pull away awkwardly and pull myself out of the tangled mess.

"Uh.Hehe.That was umm......."Scott said awkwardly.

"Yeah...umm."I say and help him out of the tangled harness.We just look at eachother for a minute and he starts to nuzzle me.I pull away and cough nervously.

"Well.Um do you need to do something in some odd direction again like last time?"He says and starts to laugh.I laugh too.

"You want to do someth"-he gets inturrupted by Dimitri coming up and patting us on the head.He kneels down,

"You guys ready for traing?We can start now!"Dimitri says and we start jumping on him and licking his face.

"Okay,okay guys!"He says and puts us each in a harness attached to the sled.

    We run out of the yard pulling the sled and run through town.People yell at us,including Dimitri,to stop.We just laugh and run faster.I then concentrate on speed and it feels like I'm flying.I look to the side to see Scott trying very hard o keep up with me.I laugh and slow down a bit.

"Sorry Scott,I just love running!"I say still slowing up.

"I-I-It's f-f-fine."Scott says panting.

     I slow down until we reach a trot,letting him catch his breath.Then Dimitri make us stop.He walks around to us and looks at me strangely.

"You're quite the runner aren't you?"He says then pats me on the head."Well you guys had your fun.Now let's get to business okay?"He says.

     We both bark in reply.He pats each of us on the head then begins.He taught us the way he taught his other dogs.His way was simple.For example when he says 'go' that obviously means go.When he says 'right' that obviously means right.Then so on and so forth.

     "Okay,you guys got it?"Dimitri asked when he finnished telling what each word means.We barked and we started again.Each time he  said a command we did the right thing.After he thought we had enough training he stopped the sled and walked around to us.

"You guys are the fastest learners I've ever seen.I'm proud of you!Now let's head home okay?"He said and we pulled the sled home.

      I laid down in my bed and fell asleep.All the training was exhausting.........

     I sit in the forest waiting for my father to arrive.I know he had to tell me something.I could just feel it.Then the light appeared and my father walked out.I dashed toward him and nuzzled him.I look at him and smiled.Then I notice I've gotten much taller.I smiled again and nuzzed him.Then I looked at him curiously.

"Every time you visit me in my dreams you have something to tell me.What is it?"I ask.

"It's a warning.Be careful on your training."He says.Then he mumbles,attempting to make it to where I can't hear him but failed,"It's going to happen even if she is careful,"he mumbles.

"I can hear you.What's going to happen?"I ask.

"I can't tell you."He says.

"Fine.I do want to ask something else though.What do you think of Scott?"I ask quickly.

His face brightens,"Wonderful kid.You know his father helped us fight your grandfather.He was a surviver."he says.

"He was?Really?"I ask,that makes me like him more.

"Yep.Now get some rest.I'll love you forever and ever hun."He said and started to disapear.

"I love you to dad!Wait!"I say running towards him.He waits just a few seconds just to hear what i have to say.

"You know you visiting my dreams is the only thing keeping me alive."I say and he looks at me curiously then disapears,as if he was forced to.

     I wake up to see Scott curled next to me.I grin to myself and fall back asleep.A dreamless sleep.

     I wake up the next morning to Scott still laying next to me,only he's awake.His head is on his paws and he's staring at me.Not like lovingly but confused.

"What's the matter?"I ask.

"Nothing.It's just I've never thought about it but you look like this husky that came to my pack and asked my father to help him fight an enemy."He says.

My face saddens,"That was my father.You know the story though,and I really don't want to repeat it."I say.

"That was your father!He has been my dad's friend since before I was born!He and my dad hadn't been talking much though because your dad had found a mate and had pups.This is amazing!"Scott said excitedly.

I just smiled at him,"Well did your dad seem depressed when he came back home?"

"Yeah.He was moping around for days.Then my pack got attacked by hunters.Only a few wolves survived.All of my family died.I wawws the only survivor of my family.I wandered around in the forest then Dimitri found me."Scott said.

I gasped,"Oh my gosh Scott!I didn't know that.Why didn't you tell me sooner?"I ask confused.

"You were already sad and I didn't want to make you more depressed and,and-"That was all he could say bfore he completely broke down and started crying.

     I move closer to him and start to nuzzle him,"It's okay,it's okay."I say........
