The stars were dim against the dark blue sky. Dull blue eyes stared  solemnly at them. Those eyes were remembering what it was like before he had to fight for himself and stay up almost the whole night. He smiled to himself laughing at the thought of chewing on his brothers ears once again. He never wanted to go back to that wonderful life though, because now it was a hideous and plain. He remembered the day so clearly that this had happened.

"Bet you can't beat me!" laughed a grey wolf pup.
"Ha, I probably can pup, I am a year older!" laughed a brown catching up to the pup.
"Aw, Javed, why do you have to spoil my fun," pouted the pup.
"'Cause that's what baby sitters are for," laughed Javed.
" Javed! Your father is coming here, and what others have said he doesn't sound happy!" yelled a yellow wolf.
"What do you mean? He's never came to this part of the territory," remarked Javed.
" That's just what I heard from the beta!" said the yellow wolf taking off to tell others about his discovery.
" Isaac, go back to your kin. If any of them wake up make sure they don't come out . Can you do that?" asked Javed.
" Yes, Leader Javed," smiled Isaac, happy to be doing a big job.
" Javed watched the pup go. His father wasn't that found of puppies until they were ready for battle, so he didn't want them near the Alpha. He ran up to the mothers in the back to see them looking out to the forest where his father would be coming out of.
"Deriz, what's the problem?" asked Javed to the yellow wolf.
" Your father killed Terek," explained Deriz.
" What! The Alpha wouldn't do that! Terek is only three months old!" Javed exclaimed.
" Weather is out mourning his death. The mothers are tense and ready to attack the Alpha if he hurts anymore puppies," explained Deriz.
" Mothers! Go back to your dens and be with your pups! Do not let them out of your sight! Howled Javed, "Deriz, go fetch Weather and comfort her.
Deriz nodded and ran to the other side of the woods. Javed looked out. He can now smell his fathers scent. Anger filled his nose. He can sense his fathers anger, who was the one and only Black wolf. In legends the black wolf was evil, but in his pack he was a hero. The wolves in his pack were ones who didn't fit in their original packs. Javed counted five seconds before he saw his father leap in the air towards him.
" Where! Where are the orphan pups!" growled the Black Wolf.
" They are in the den, father. Why/ Do you wish to see them?" asked Javed in a calm vioce.
The Black Wolf did not answer, but stormed into the den and howled a raged howl. In no time the three healthy pups were thrown out of the den. One was pure white, the other more dog than wolf.
"Where did you get these from?" growled the Alpha.
" I-I found them, up in the n-northern parts of the w-woods," cringed a golden brown male wolf.
" They are mutts! Can  you not see that, Nanook! They also have a
PURE white brother!" snarled the Alpha.
"I-I thought you w-wanted more p-pups in the p-pack," submitted Nanook.
" Yes, but have you ever heard of the White Wolf? MY ENEMY!" howled the Alpha, even more furious than before.
    " Y-yes , b-but they're only puppies, I-I thought they m-ment no no h-harm," whi  ned Nanook.
"Than you didn't think at all!" yelled the Alpha racing to the pups.
Javed thought quickly and lunged at his father before he could reach the pups. Javed bit his leg and watched as his father stopped over the puppies.
" My son," exclaimed the Alpha in a low voice, " Why did you protect the pups, they are to be killed."
" They are pups. They know nothing of these tales that are told. They do not even know what they are, " claimed Javed.
" They will when they are older. We cannot risk the packs life to these three mangy mutts. They will kill us all!" growled the Alpha.
" You shall not hurt them," commanded Javed.
" Are you telling your father and Alpha to step down to a low life?" asked the Alpha.
" I am not a low life! I am the heir to his pack, and I will protect them even when I am not the Alpha," growled Javed.
The Black Wolf looked at his only pup and saw the truth. Without saying anything the Alpha turned his head and started slaughtering the pups. Javed stared in horror, but he recovered soon and jumped at his father.

Javed perked his ears. He heard a slight movement in the bushes. He growled and stood up. The wolves teeth were showing, his neck fur up high ready to fight for himself. He heard a little rustle and than came an albino dog. The dog was skinny and raggy, he looked like a husky mixed with something else.
" Sorry man, I saw you go into this den and thought that you may be hungry... and well, I ain't the best hunter in the world, but we could probably take down a small doe," smiled the dog.
Javed looked at him. He was wondering if he should trust this white dog. He hasn't trusted anyone in two years, and all that time he was wondering how to get his fathers thrown. Javed sight and said, "Do you know ho to hunt?"
" Oh, yes, but I usually just chase after the small game, you know rabbits and squirrels," laughed the white dog.
" Javed nodded and started walking towards the small deer group near the river. He heard the dog come trot by his heals while they walked. He looked over his shoulder and saw him smiling and wagging his tail. Javed looked the dog over. The dog wasn't a pure bred, anyone who was smart could tel t hat. He had big paws, ragged fur, and golden eyes. The golden eyes could only lead to one animal. The dog saw Javed looking at him and asked, " What? Is something wrong?"
"No, I was just wondering, do you have wolf in you?" asked Javed.
" Wow, no one can usually see that. They just think I'm a big dog," laughed the dog.
"Oh, I saw it in your eyes, not your size. Whats your name?" asked Javed.
" I don't really have one," sighed the dog, "But the only name I heard someone call me was Bramble."
"Then I think I'll call you Bramble," said Javed.
" What can I call you?" asked Bramble.
     " Javed," answered Javed.
"I've heard that name before. A long time ago though. What does that name mean?" asked Bramble.
" Ever-lasting or forever," said Javed.
" Yeah, up in the northern parts there's a story talking about an over protective wolf called Forever. Some stories they call him Ever-lasting," explained Bramble.
Javed stopped dead in his tracts and glared at Bramble, "You're from the north!"
" I came from there, and hunt there, " shrugged Bramble.
" So they're still strong, the Nykoti pack, " commented Javed with a sigh of relief.
"  Heck no!," said Bramble, " The only food over there is are fast little creatures. I have so much pity for the pups and the elders that I sneak food over there so they won't starve to death!"
     " What? I don't follow," said Javed.
" The Alpha there is horrible. He doesn't trust his pack. He doesn't even let new wolves come anymore. When ever theirs a new born pup, he goes to see it. If the pupp as white on it or even brown, he kills it, " explained Bramble.
" But they're pups! Why don't the other wolves take him down!" said Javed talking to himself.
" Like I said, the only animals there are small and too fast for them," sighed Bramble.
" You said you were from there, how did you survive when you're ALL white?" asked Javed.
" I don't know actually. I was just a puppy, my eyes weren't even opened," explained Bramble.
" Did anyone tell you/" asked Javed.
" Umm, yeah," said Bramble, "Naook told me,  but can we talk about this later? I'm starved!"
     "Bu-," Javed sighed,"Sure."

Javed sat down and ate that  leg of his. Bramble sat on his left and ate the other leg. Javed looked at the way Bramble ate and said, " You must not get enough food, you eat like a rabid wolf."
"Yeah, I usually give most of my food to the others. I'm strong and healthy, " shrugged Bramble.
" That would make you a w onderful leader," nodded Javed.
" Mmmm, I," said Bramble, still eating, " I guess, I mean, ain't that what all wolves do?"
" Good ones, but not the Black wolf!" growled Javed spitting his fathers name out.
" Yeah. Somebody should take that dude out! He doesn't deserve to have a good pack like that!" jumped Bramble.
" I wish I could," sighed Javed putting his head down, " you should get some sleep, we need energy."
" Kay, but I think that you should over-throw him," whispered Bramble.

Javed lifted his nose to smell the frosty air. he smelt a blizzard comeing in ab out two days. Javed had been thinking the night away about what Bramble said. The pup seemed to be right. He should over-throw his father, even if it meant they both would die. Javed turned around and saw Bramble stalking a bird.
"You shouldn't hunt that one," said Javed with his back turned.
     "Huh? Why not?" huffed Bramble.
" It has little birds in the nest above you," sighed Javed,"And if you kill the mother how will they survive on their own?"
"They could find a way. I had to live on my own since I was a pup," growled Bramble.
" Nobody's taught you rules for hunting, did they?" asked Javed turning back to Bramble.
" Nanook tried, but I can't listen for a second," laughed Bramble.
"Figures, you're a pup in a dogs body," said Javed rolling his eyes, " Nanook is one of the best hunters there, surprised he ain't hunting."
" He can't. Alpha broke his back legs, and if he does anything to pull them he might not walk," sighed Bramble.
" I know why, too," sighed Javed, more talking to himself.
     "What! Why?" asked Bramble.
" You're to young to know," mumbled Javed.
" Or is it 'cause you can't trust nobody!" growled Bramble.
" I can trust! Right now I only trust my pack," said Javed through gritted teeth.
" What pack! You live alone out here! You smell nothing of other wolves. What do you do to love your pack that you obviously ran away from!" snapped Bramble.
" What do I do? I am trying to find away to over-throw my own father to save their pups from starvation! howled Javed.
Bramble stood there, bewildered at what Javed just said, "Y-you're the son of the Alpha? You tried to save some pups. Everyone thinks that you are, well, dead. You don't even have a scar on your body."
" True, but I have a scar in my heart. Ever since than I have trained harder. Watched wolves fight. Protected wolves that were harmless. I never once did go in my packs territory. I can never do that until I found away to get my father alone and away from his allies," sighed Javed.
Bramble smirked, " I have an idea."
    " Yeah, what?" asked Javed.
" There's more than one white wolf 'round here. We can search for them, and once the black wolf sees them he will order his allies to go and fight them. He wants no white wolf alive," smiled Bramble.
"I was wrong a bout. You have spirit inyou, and you love the pack. Once I am Leader you will be my Beta," smiled Javed looking at the moon.

Everyday the two would set of to search for white wolves. They trained hard with each other until they could not move themselves. Javed taught the young wolves fighting skills that they could only do with their size and energy. Bramble ran with a group of wolves to increase their speed. Javed and Bramble wanted the fastest, toughest, bravest, wolves around. The white wolves were scared of the Black wolf, but was eager to not be killed just because of their fur. Javed had been wondering day would be the best to strike. He knew that his wolves were ready, and wanted freedom for white wolves around the world. Out of all the white wolves Bramble was the most eager. He had almost gotten killed by the Black wolves allies more than once, but was a quick thinker and had tones of speed.
"Bramble!" howled Javed from the high rock.
" Yes, sir?" asked Bramble while trotting up to him.

"What day is it today?" asked Javed.
" Uh, today is..." stubbled Bramble with a confused face.
" Today is the day that he has a feast with the whole pack," grinned Javed.
" Ya, but he only does that with worthy ones, and some allies will be guarding the pack," replied Bramble.
" We have two thousand wolves, I think we should split one thousand to the feast, , seven hundred to the guarding ones, and three hundred to search around for hunters," explained Javed.

Bramble looked surprised at his leader, "That is one great plan. I'll go make the groups."
Javed watched Bramble go. He saw great difference in the pup. He became more mature in the last two months. Bramble was serious about this, and wanted freedom for his wolf friends. Javed watched as Bramble herded his allies into the right numbers that Javed wanted. When Bramble was done Javed lifted his head and howled.
" Friends that gathered here to stop the Black Wolf! Today is the day that we will over-throw him! He has a feast today that will give us advantage..."

Javed sniffed the air. He knew that he was coming up to the place where is father had his feast. He knew that from all the meat he could smell. He turned around and signaled the Gaurd group and the Hunters Group to go on their way while he and his groups go on theirs. He started walking. He smelled the first of the wolves, and then he could hear them munching on their feast. It was pitch black, which was good. The two groups that left were covered in mud to keep them well hidden. His group was all white, so they could fool the allies.
"Okay," whispered Javed, " Bramble and I will sneak up on my father. You guys get ready. Wait thirty seconds."
Javed and Bramble ran off to the side where the alpha was. They sniffed the air to make sure they were safe of anyone seeing them. They stood their, ready to attack when they heard the howling and snarling of wolves.
"Wolves! Attack those white beasts! You two stay with me!" howled the leader.
" You take the guards, Bramble. I'll get my father!" whispered Javed.
They waited a couple of minutes. They wanted to make sure the white wolves where far away. Javed smelled the air. He smelled two guards on the left and the Alpha between them. Javed looked at Bramble. Bramble was grinning. Javed waved his tail and , and Bramble shot out from under the brushed and attacked the two guards who ran off chasing him. At that Javed jumped up and grabbed his fathers scruff.
     "Remember me?" growled Javed.
"Javed! My son! Why? Why are you doing this?" growled the Alpha.
" You killed innocent puppies!" growled Javed with a mouth ful of fur.
" They where white! It was the good of the pack that they be killed!" scolded the alpha.
"Have you looked at the pack latley!" snarled Javed letting go of his father.
     " Yes!" breathed the Alpha.
" Then you know that they are starving and dieing because there is no food for them in the territory you have created!" snapped Javed.

"What! They have not! They are living and healthy! Have you been sneaking into my territory! I shall punish you for that!" howled the Alpha.
" I shall punish you for abusing MY pack!" growled Javed.
" This is not your pack," whispered the alpha, " It is mine!"
The Black Wolf put his head downa nd lunged towards Javed. Javed luckily was faster then him, and dodged the attack. The Black Wolf howled and kept swipping his fangs on Javed. He did this many times, but only put little scratched on him. Javed was more successful. He swiped his claws and teeth at the Black Wolf many times, but also skilled at runnign and dodging. By that time Bramble was back, but hiding in the bush waiting for Javed to get so tired that he couldn't attack by himself. Javed looked graceful at fighting, while the Alpha looked like a big bull going through a red cloth. Javed had barely got scratched, while the alpha had gushes of crimson blood over his black coat. Bramble saw that Javed was getting tired, so he jumped straight onto the Black Wolves back and snatched the top of his neck. Javed new what he was doing so he lunged to the throat and grabbed it. He stuck onto it, because he knew that he wouldn't be able to hold on to it long. The Black Wolf tugged at Javed's leg, but Javed wouldn't let go. The Alpha tugged even harder and pulled Javed off, but he had also pulled a huge chunk of his skin off. Javed jumped back and spit the skin out. He watched as the Black Wolf stumble around howling his head off.
     "Bramble, off," ordered Javed.
" Yes, sir," Bramble said jumping off the back of the Alpha.
" You idits!" howled The Alpha, or now the ex-alpha.
" Your days of leading is over, you can say goodbye," said Javed. Javed howled tot he sky telling his white wolves to come.

Soon all teh wolves Javeds new pack jumped up and started attacking the Black Wolf. They did it together while Javed and Bramble sat there howling at the sky. Javed didn't watch his fatehr die, instead he got up and signaled Bramble to fallow him. Javed jogged towards the meadow where the wolves he will know lead live. He smelled the air, and as expected it was exactly the same as before, It smelled like spring, even in the winter it smelled like that. Javed went on the big rock. He looked down and saw his old pack mates, who were oblivious tot he killing of their old leader. Javed put his head up and howled. All the wolves looked up at him. Some had bewildered eyes, like they were seeing a ghost, but Javed also saw relief in their eyes.
"Javed, Javed, is that you?" asked a golden brown wolf, also known as Nanook.
" Yes, and we have freed you from the Black Wolf," said Javed.
" What? How!" asked the black and red female.
"Chezzah," nodded Javed, " the allies that my friend, Bramble, and I had helped us. They were all sick of being treated like nobodies."

"So does that mean you are our new leader?" asked a young adult.
" Yes Cray, but I will be gone. Bramble will take on for know, he has been feedingyou for a while now, I think he can handle it," asnwered Javed.
"Why?" asked Bramble and the rest of the pack.
" I have to take the others home. They are allies, but not m y pack. They belong with their own families. I will be back as soon as possible." smiled Javed.
Everyone nodded. Javed perked his ears up when he heard the howls of his wolves. They had won the battle. Javed howled back to them and went on his way. It would be a while until he will see his family again. He was the leader, the leader who was right. The leader who won't do anything bad to them. Javed looked at the dullest star in the sky. That star was his mothers favorite, because it was small, but soon in will be bright. His mother thought of the star to be just like him. Javed howled at his white wolves to fallow him. Then he headed back out to take them home. He was finally happy, and new nothing could get in his way of leading. Javed looked at the star again and howled, just like he was howling at his mother.
