Part 2
THe horizon darkens as a horrible plot begins to unfold for Matsuko's clan.
THe pack has found a forest that wasn't totally covered in ice in snow. so finding dens and food wasn't much of a problem.
They all agreed to stop there to rest from walking all that time.
Matsuko wished she'd never met Kaji now.
Sooo many thoughts and emotions filled her head every day they met.
One day she talked to Shaston about him.
Masuko was pacing back and forth while she was sitting on a rock hearing her rant.
"Why do I feel so confused? I can't stand him! He's so annoying!! But.... But he's so....."
"Charming?" she said.
"Its not just that! There was something about him that freezes me on the spot. And the way he kissed.."
"HE KISSED YOU?! NO WAY!!" she shouted.
"Oh no! I was thinking out loud..." she thought that time.
She blushed.
"Wow! I thought it would 've took him longer to come up to you and do that." she said.
"Don't tell! Not Venice or Galent. Anybody!" Matsuko shouted.
"Ok! Its nothing to be embarassed about." she said.
"Yes it is! Oh! Does he even know what he's doing to me.....?"
"Its crazey isn't it? Everytime he comes to you your insides flip out. He makes your bones turned to water right?" Shaston said smiling.
"How'd you....?"
Did she read her mind?
"I feel the same way about....uh...?" she stopped.
"Galent right? Don't think I don't see how you went head over heels over my brother." Masuko said.
Now it was her turn to blush.
"Galent...."she said alittle starstrucked.
"Oh boy...She has it worse than me.." Matsuko thought.
Then suddenly Talon was runing towards them. He looked injured.
"Talon? What's going-"
"Its Kumiko! She's been killed!! We were attacked but she didn't-" he said.
Both were too stunned to speak. They got up and ran back to the pack.
All of them were mourning the death of their leader.
She quickly spotted out Galent on the side.
"Galent! What happened?!" Said Matsuko.
He was too speechless to say anything.
"Someone is a traitor." said Talon.
"What?" she asid.
"A member of this clan killed her. Caught her off guard." he said.
"Who will take her place then?" asked Shaston
"Who else?" said Talon.
All three looked at Talon with horror!
"Oh no! Not....!"
"ME!" Akchrome said with pride.
She pushed Galent and Matsuko out of her way.
"And I want all of you to meet by the river to find out who killed my mother." she said walking away.
"Who would do such a thing?" said Galent.
"I wonder where Kaji is?" Matsuko thought.
"Come on Mat! We have to go!" said Talon.
She shook off her thoughts and followed them.
That night all of the pack gathered at the river.
"All my members hear me now!!" Ackrome shuted.
"Whatever." thought Matsuko.
"We had a terrible lost the other night. The murderer is still among all of us! When we find the traitor he or she WILL be brought to justice!!!!" she howled.
The pack howled altogether.
Then Kaji appeared to the pack.
"My head.....Hey what's going on everybody?" he asked.
"BLOOD!! HIS PAWS ARE COVERED IN BLOODD!!!!!!" someone shouted.
"Blood?" he said then he looked down and his paws were soaked in blood!!
"What? How did this happen?!" he looked shooked to see it.
"Traitor!! Kaji is the traitor get him!!" shouted Ackrome.
"Wait!!! I didn't do it I........!"
Kaji backed up but the whole pack surrounded him.
"Wait!!" Matsuko pushed through the crowd.
"He couldn't have done this!!!!!! Its impossable!!" She tried to defend him but she knew it was useless.
"He will be killed on the next sunset!!! An eye for an eye my friend. Take him away!" Achrome said coldly.
He struggled but on of the warriors hit him on the head with his paw.
"No! KAJI!!" Matsuko tried to follow him but Talon blocked her.
"Get back Mat. He's a traitor. Stay away from him or he'll kill you too. Same to you Galent." said Talon
Galent nodded but Matsuko was determined to find the truth. She saw the blood herself but she felt that somethings not right. Kaji wasn't a killer! Or is he? She really didn't get to know him very well.
"But I have to know the truth! I'll sneak to see him in the morning. Ackrome and the rest will be asleep." she thought as she walked with Galent and Talon.
"I'm going to hunt in the morning. The rabbits don't catch themselves. I want you two to stay togethergot it?" he said
They both nodded.
Talon went to sleep but Galent ever left his gaze off his sister. He knew she'll be up to something so he watched her as she slept.
She didn't worry. He'll be knock out by the time she leaves. She'll have a good night sleep unlike her brother......
The sky was bright but it wasn't dawn just yet. It was the perfect timing to sneak off.
Matsuko woke up quietly. She saw Her brother out cold like she thought he would be.
She went to the abandend ditch were they kept Kaij in.
She passed the guards and saw Kaji sleeping.
"Some guards....sleeping on the job." she thought as she saw the wolves sleep. But unknown to her they were not sleeping but one was dead! and the other was out cold.
"Kaji....Kaji....!"she whispered.
His ears perked up.
"Who's there!" he growled.
"Shhhh. Its me Matsuko!" she tried to get him to be quiet.
"Oh. Mat you have to believe me I didn't do it!" he said to her.
"Shh. Calm down Kaji now just-"
"Calm down?! I was framed! What would you do if you were about to be killed for something you didn't do?!"
She couldn't blame him for being angry. He said he wouldn't join another pack ever but he did to find her.
Know his reward is get rejected and accused of a crime he didn't commit. She had to know if he did or not!
"Kaji tell me what happened?" she asked.
He sighed.
"I was watching Venice like before until I saw that Kumiko wanted to talk to me. She wanted my help. She said that one of her guards was killed and she knew who did it . But before she told me someone jumped us and knocked me out. When I came to, Kumiko was gone and a trail of blood was all I found. When I followed it it lead me to the pack.That's when I saw the blood on my paws. You know the rest." he said.
"Oh Kaji." she sighed.
"I was knocked out but I did not kill her I swear!" he said.
She looked in his eyes. Even though the evidence was heavey on him she believed him.
"I believe you Kaji but if that wasn't Kumiko's blood then who's is it?" she asked.
"When I smelled it, it was like a rodent. I don't know. A mole? Or rabbit mabey?"
Galent woke up to find his sister gone!
"MAT!" he shouted.
He looked around for her but he saw Shaston sleeping. He didn't want to wake her but needed to find his siter.
"Shaston! He have you seen Matsuko?" he asked her.
She yawned and said. "Noooope.....I thought she was with you." she said.
"Well she better not be with that killer!" he growled.
"Look I know he's new but I'm not sure he did it. He's doesn't look like the kind of wolf who would do that." she said.
"You saw the blood he's guilty!" he growled.
"But why would he be shocked to see the blood if he did do it?"she said.
"Talon said he saw it with his own eyes!" Galent said.
"But I thought he was with us when Kaji came back how could he.....?"
Then suddenly Galent ran from her with the speed of light!
"Galent wait!" she said.
"No! Get back up and lead them to the ditch hurry!!" he shouted.
"Rabbit? The only one who hunts rabbits for the pack is-"
"Matsuko! Look out!!!!!!" Kaji shouted but Matsuko felt a sharp blow to the face.
She fell of and slided off int the ditch.
"Matsuko!" he ran to her.
The wolf that hit her jumped into the ditch.
"Oh dear...... always the slow one huh Matsuko? At least Galent would have gotten it alot quicker. He was always my favorite one."
"Talon! You killed Kumiko!!" said Matsuko.
"WelI can't take all the credit. If you didn't charm your way to Kaji's heart I never would have found anyone to get the blame. You may be slow but sometimes you can be useful." he said with a colder smile than winter.
"But why? Why would you do this? You were like our second father!" Matsuko cried.
"Well since you're about to die I guess it does no harm to tell you.Your mother." he said.
"Mother?" they both said.
"Yes. In truth I am your father's best friend until he met your mother. She was the most beutiful wolf I had ever seen!She was a pure vampire like myself. I loved her but she desided to go with your father.
I was bitter about it soo the day you went to the mountain I was the one who pushed the rocks. I did get my revenge but lost the love of my life.So I took both of you in.but you to reminded me toomuch of your parents.
One of the wolves that helped me kill your father was staring oo have second thoufht so I eleminated him. Kumiko found out so she had to go as well and tat's were you're boyfriend came in."
"You......YOU.....YOU MONSTER!!!!" she shouted.
"Now there 's no reason to resort to name calling." he said to her.
"Vampire?" said Kaji.
"What. She never told you? Oh well. I guess will. Can't leave my pawn in the dark." said Talon.
"NOO!!" she cried.
"Matsuko has vampire blood in her. Of course she has other roots but I think this oneis special. Go ahead little Mat! Show him your demon form. Show him the monster you truly are!" he laughed.
"Stop!!! STOP!!! STOP IT!!!" she sobbed.
"Enough with your crocadile tears!! Atleast your mother could accepted her blood willingly." he said closing in on her.
"GET BACK!!" Kaji blocked him from her.
"Why do you defend her? You just figured out that she a hybreed. She mixed with a blood sucking monster." Talon.
Matsuko looked at Talon then at Kaji.
She looked at Kaji with tears still in her eyes.
Kaji turned to her then smiled.
"The only monster I see is YOU!" he spat at Talon.
"Kaji...."said Matsuko.
"Oh well. I guess I'll kill you both1" he saidas he leptedat the two.
He tackled Kaji and closed his jaws on his chest.
"GAAHH!!!" Kaji cried.
"KAJI!!!" Matsuko screamed. Her eyes glowed and her spikes came out again.
"DON'T YOU DARE HIT HIM AGAIN!!" she yelled knocking Talon off of him!
"Are you going to fight me Mat? Please! I taught you everything you know!" he said slowly getting up.
"You taught me to fight alone. but now-"
"She has a partner!!!" said Kaji who was behind him.
Talon was about to strike but Matsuko jumped and landed on his back while Kaji distracted him.
Then Her fangs got longer then she sanked them into his throut to the side.
She quickly started to suck out the blood inside of him. His blood tatsed thick,old, and bitter.
"The blood must reflect the character." she thought.
"HEY!! Get...off...of...me..." his voice got weaker but he shook Matsuko off.
Then knocked Kaji down.He pushed his paw into his leg.Breackingit.
"AAAAH!!" he cried.
The he pinned her down.
"Now to return a favor! Goodbye Mat." he said as his teeth was set for her neck.
Flash!
Blood was spilled over the ground!!
You could hear a wolf yelp in pain then silence.
Kaji looked in horror.
"MATSUKO!!!! ARE YOU THERE?! MATSUKO!!! " he said crailing to see if she's alright.
"Mat.....? Please don't be-"
But he found that it was quite the opposite.
Matsuko had one of her spikes run though Talon 's body.
"Mat...!" he begain then Matsuko begain to cry.
He lied next to her as she pushes the body off.
"I know he tried to kill us but it was still so..."
"I know.......I know." he said lying his head over hers as she cried.
"I'm here. It'll be alright." he said.
Later Galent came with the whole pack.
Galent went to see what happened.
"Alittle late aren't you." Kaji joked.
"How is she? What happened?" he asked.
"Uhgg! I heard him! Talon killed Kumiko! He conffessed! I was too weak to move when the battle stared though." one of the guards said.
"Sure you were." thought Kaji.
Matsuko slepted under Kaji.
"I think she needs some time before she can explained what happened." said Kaji staring at her.
"I see. Why don't you take her back to the den. I'll let Ackrome know to talk to the guard to find the truth." he said.
Kaji nodded as he carried Matsuko away.
Matsuko opened her eyes she saw that she was back home were she belong with Kaji.
Wait? Kaji?
"K...k...ka..ji?" she said waking up.
"Hey sunshine. I guess I nursed you back to health like I wanted huh?" Kaji said with the warmest smile she had ever seen.
"Nurse me? How long was I out?" she asked.
"About a week." he said.
"A week! but that's...."
"Oh ! I almost forgot.Your bro finally asked Shaston to be his mate. They were going to wait untill you woke up to tell you about it and make it official." he said to her.
"Its about time. They were practially made for each other!" she said.
Kaji was quiet.
"Kaji...?"
"What about us? Are we made for each other? " he stared at her.
"Not now! Why now?!" she thought.
"But....But why would you want to stay? You were framed and I never told you about me much." she said.
"Because of one simple fact.: I love you Matsuko. From the first time I rescued you it was love at first sight to me."
"But you want to be with me even though I'm a bloodsucker?"
"Half blood sucker and yes. I knew there was something you didn't want to tell me but the last time I forced someone to tell me som I was alone agani. Because I was lazy and cared only for myself I lost my pack and my mate. Until you showed up I was always alone. I think fate made me go outto hunt that day. If I hadn't gone out I never would have met you.You taught me to care about others not just me." Kaji got up from her then sat in front of her.
"Even if you don't return it I love you and I will protect you even if I won't be able to live." Kaji walked out of the den.
"What are you doing?! Are you going to just let the best thing that ever happend to you leave?! You love him!!!!!!!!! Go after him!!!!!!!!!!!!!" her mind yelled.
She quickly got up and ran out.
"Kaji? Kaji!! Where are you?" even though he just went out he was no where in sight!
She looked verywhere and asked every one but nothing came up.
Matsuko flet horrible!
"Kaji...please...where are you...?" she returned to the den.
She started to cry.
"What have I done?" she thought.
She laid back down.
After an hour she felt something nudge her.
"Matsuko what's wrong?"
she looked to see Kaji!
"Kaji! You're still here!!" she said huging him.
He looked at her curiously.
"Of course I'm here.I just went out sprinting." he said.
I thought you were leaving!" she said.
"I'll never leave you blossem. Count on it."he winked at her and smiled.
Her grip tighened.
"Not that I don't love the hug but you're crushing me." he said.
She figured out that she was holding him too tight.
"Sorry." she said as she let go of him.
"Kaji I'm sorry for the mixed signals. I was only confused about how I felt about you. I thought that if you knew I was half vampire you would be afraid of me. That's why I never told you.But You saved me. Twice. I can ever repay you for your deeds but I can try." she came closer to him.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"I think I love you Kaji. You've been nothing but nice to me. You taught me the kindness of others and to live life to the fulIest.I was so hurt by the lost of my parent but you taught me that my parents want to see me happy not mourning all the tim. I thought I was happy before but when I'm with you I feel true happiness. Kaji...I want you to be my mate. If you want to."
"Want to? Its all I want!! Matsuko, I'll make sure you'll never regret making me your mate." He couldn't control himself.
He kissed her on the spot and she kissed him back.
It was alot like the first kiss they shared.....only better.
Half of his love and hers finally made them one.
It was something to be charished for life.
Kaji felt her love in this kiss. It felt wonderful that she returned the loved he shared.
She nuzzled him.
He sighed as he caught her sweet scent as he inhailed.
"Matsuko...." he moaned.
She rubbed her muzzle under his chin.
Kaji felt chills all over his body.
"Kaji. I'm sorry for everything." she said.
"Don't be...." he said.
She nuzzled him again but something was different.
Her emotions triggered something inside of her.
She heard his heart beating.
Then she saw the blood in his vains.
Her fangs grew again about to peirce his throut.
"No!" she forced herself away from him.
"Matsuko? What's wrong?" Kaji asked worried.
"I can't Kaji! If I kept going I would have..." she stopped.
She couldn't bare to hurt Kaji.
Then he saw her fangs.
She saw what he was looking at then retracted the fangs.
"I don't want to hurt you Kaji. I think I should leave." she walked to the opening but Kaji blocked her.
"I already told you.I don't care if you're half Vampire." he said.
"But what if I-"
"I trust you." he said slowly giving her a kiss.
She accepted his kiss.
She felt the wall behind her but she didn't try to escape him.
The rush came back to her. The fangs slowy grew.
"No...I won't let it win!!" she thought as they went back to normal size.
He lowered her to the ground.
They felt warm as they embraced each other.
"But what about my spikes?" she whispered.
"Like I said I trust you." he said as he stared to her eyesand he continued to kiss her.
That night was the most happiest of both their lives.
They truely became one. The pleasurable pain swirled as they made love that night.The words "I love you" came more than once that night.
The sun rose too early for them.
"Morning blossem. Want to get up and tell everyone the good news?" he got up.
"Later. I want more time with you before the pack wakes up." she said pulling him back down to her.
"Yes ma'am." he said not resisting.
They laid together with the new found love that will change both their lives forever.
