Part 4
Dusty was letting herself go as Nuk carried her. After running away after being teased about maybe having wolf in her Nuk, Yak, and Sumac had kiddnapped her and Dusty had watched the sea eat Balto, Jenna, and Kodi. Nuk, Yak, and Sumac were part of Aleu's pack and would never do this. Something was up, but Dusty didn't know what. Dusty's scruff was wet and her heart is small red pieces. Watching the sea eat her friend and watching Jenna's bandana float up to shore, Dusty knew that the sea would keep then in the bottom of it's stomach. Dusty's eyes were shut until she heard. "Here we are." from Sumac Nuk carried Dustytoward a path between huge mountains and rock. Dusty opened up her eye. Wolves were all around her staring at her like Nuk, Yak, and Sumac were. With the mean look. Dusty knew Aleu's pack was in peace. Something had happened and Balto wasn't there to stop it. Nuk walked up in front of the wolf standing in front of a medium sized cave. "Deputy were is out leader' ask Yak towards the wolf. "He is out looking for food, but he will be back and what is this." asked the wolf deputy "Out leader's victun that he said in his story, she must still be here and he will want to see her." said Sumac "Put her in the den were we keep our prisonaners." he said Nuk did as he was told and dropped Dusty into a dark den. He pushed a few rocks over the entrence and two guard wolves stood in front. Dusty walked around the den and bumped into someone. "Hey watch it!" cried a voice Dusty looked at the wolf...or wolfdog. "Aleu!" she said
"How...did you know my name?" asked Aleu "I'm Dusty and I live in Nome. I have met Balto, Jenna, and Kodi and heard about you Aleu." Dusty said "Oh." Aleu replied "Dusty may I ask why are you here?" asked Aleu shyly Dusty looked at Aleu and knew what she had to say. "My friends Ralph and Kirby said I may have wolf in me because i have howeled and have the same furpatteren as you. Then after falling down a waterfall I was kiddnapped, by Nuk, Yak, and Sumac. Balto, Jenna,and Kodi tryed to save me, but the sea swallowed..then." Dusty said saddly "oh" said Aleu with a sad face. Her parents and one of her brothers were gone. "Aleu I would like to ask why the pack is calling you the enemy." said Dusty
Meanwhile back on the seashore Jenna' bandana was still in the sand and was still full of water. It stayed there showing that all was gone, but the a small white paw stepped on it. Coming out of the water was Jenna followed by Balto and Kodi. Eachone of then was trying to get air in their lungs so the water was dissapear. Jenna picked up her bandana and slipped her neck into it. "We....need to find..a pl..ace for...the night." Balto said "That cave." Kodi said weakly They all went into the darkness. All threeof them went into the dark cave. "We must lo..ok for Dusty in..the morning. " Kodi said They was fell toward the stone floor and evry eye closed.
Dusty could see why Aleu had been called the ememy. An old wolf ememy had returned for revenge and had used magic to take over and was pocessing all the wolves. "Who is this wolf and how did he get magic." Dusty said Aleu was about to answer but Nuk had entered the cave. "Dusty our leader wishes to see you in the morning. " said Nuk as he walked out of the dark cave. "Anyway Dusty I was told that at least two years ago he found some kind of magic...this was before I was born, but he found a way to commuticate with evil wolf spirets and they gave him powers. He got ride of three pups and their mother...well one he threw into the riverand the others...well I don't know. However he had lost the power when I came in because good spirets took it away, but just now the evil spirets have given to him again and only one living animal can defeat him...Aniu told me that." Aleu said Dusty looked at Aleu "Aniu?' she asked "Balto's spiret mother...my grandmother." Aleu replied "Who is this wolf?" said Dusty "His name is.." but before Aleu could finnish they heard "Hey you two shut up in there." froma guard wolf Aleu and Dusty settled down "You know Dusty you do look like me." Aleu said as her diamond shaped eye closed Dusty though to herself...."I might be part wolf...am I?"
Dusty was having a dream that night. It had been the same for ages and Dusty knew what was happening. The same dream with the pups and the mother, but something was different. The dream paused like a movie and it shattered like glass. A beautiful white wolf with diamond eye was standing in front of Dusty. "Aniu?" asked Dusty "yes Dusty. I have been watching you and you friends. Don't worry about Balto, Jenna,and Kodi..They that you are here and are coming. I must tell you something Dusty ....the other part of the prochecy." said Aniu "What?" asked Dusty "You remember the dream right?" asked Aniu "Yes" said Dusty "It is said that the pup that survived is the one to take back the pack." she said Dusty didn't know why Aniu was tellling her. "Aniu..the pups and the mother died..didn't they." she said "One pup fell and the other the dark wolf captured The other pups and the mother. They are not dead, but also not living." said Aniu "So the dark wolf made then dissapear and they are like frozen..in time." said Dusty "Yes Dusty." Aniu replied to her "Than that means that the pup that fell is still alive?" said Dusty "Yes Dusty. They are the only one who can rescue the pack and family." said Aniu "be carful, because the evil wolf knows of the prochecy too. He also has information about that night." Aniu said "Who is this wolf and were is the suviving pup?" asked Dusty. but Aniu didn't answer. She was fading into the darkness of the night. Her eyes closed and dissapearing like her body. Dusty awoke and her heart was beating fast. Aleu had woke up too. Dusty say light. Morning..."Aleu I have something to tell you."
Meanwhile Balto, Kodi, and Jenn ahad recovered their water lungs and were heading towards the mountains were the wolves were. Kodi was in the front and Balto and Jenna running behind him. "Come on there is no telling what is happening to Dusty. Aleu might be there too." he said "Were're running as fast as we can Kodi." Balto said Jenna was having a bit of trouble, but she had the practice anyway. Rosie wanted to mush when she was older and Jenna would probibly do the mushing.
Dusty was beside Aleu and both were between Nuk, Yak, Sumac, and the guard wolves. "Wre are they taking us?" Dusty asked Aleu, but Nuk answered "To our leader." he said Dusty looked up at the sky. The clouds were dark. The sun was covered and no warm was coming to her. Aleu felt the same. "So Dusty this pup that fell in the river is susopost to rescue us...and my parents and brother are coming?" said "Yes." said Dusty "Yeah,,but who is this pup. They must be a at least my age..or yours..how old are you?" Aleu asked "About two...you look like you are one." said Dusty "Huh.." leu replied
Balto and Jenna were folloing Kodi up the mountain and along a path. Kodi stopped, his eyes ficked on what was below him. He jumped down of the path onto the bottom one. Kodi wasn't too far from the ground, but he could still get hurt. He had to see what was happening. Balto and Jenna followered there son down the mountain. "Kodi what.." but Kodi put his paw up and said "Shhhh h." Jenna looked done and gasp. Below them were Dusty and Aleu. Balto looked at the knew pack leader....It was Niju.
Dusty and Aleu walked forward and looked up at the wolf. "Don't let them escape...especially that one." he said pointing at Dusty. The wolve's cold eyes locked on Dusty. It only scared her more. He jumped down from a huge rock that was beside his den and paced over to Dusty. "I am Niju. Ruler of this pack and you are Dusty." he said "Nuk, Yak, or Sumac must have told you." said Dusty The clouds were still gray and it was damp. "No Dusty I already know." he said Dusty woundered how he knew."I'll tell you the story, but first I must show you this." he said darkly "Aleu told me." Dusty said trying to not act scared "Stut it Dusty. You are to listen to me now." he said Niju stalked off toward three rock. They were bigger that most, but a human could hold then in the hands, but if it hit you it would damge you. Niju released one claw. He sliced it down the rock and it slit in two. "Part if the power the evil spirets gave me." Niju said Then something started rising from the rock. It wasn't real..well it was kind of captured by the rock and what ever it was it was only coming out as the rock opened. Niju cut the others too rocks and something started coming out of them. It was a wolf..or a dog that had come out. Her face was clear and her body was. The other rocks released pups, a little girl, and a boy. The adult was like the one in Dusty's dream. It was the mother in her dream and so were the pups. The mother looked at Dusty with warm eyes. "Oh Dusty." she said "How do you know me?" she asked toward the mother. "See is your mother Dusty." said Niju
Dusty's eye got big....how could...."Her name in Naggie and these pups are Hayden and Pearl." Niju said "What, but how..I'm older than those pups." said Dusty Niju looked at her. "Two years ago I got power from spirets..evil spirets because I was becoming the way I am...wanting to rule over the pack." said Niju "I knew Naggie and at first liked her, but then after toward I put her and two pups in these rocks. The other over the river." said Niju Dusty's mind started putting the pieces together. "Niju it was you, you pushed the pup off side and into the river." said Dusty "You were the dark wolf in my dream." said Dusty "Yes, but it wasn't always a dream." Niju said "What." said Dusty "I don't remember anything in my childhood before I met Kodi. Only that my name was Dusty." She said "I remember having a dream of a dark wolf....that was you and you were and you pushed off a pups, but if the mother was Naggie and the pups are Hayden and Pearl and Naggie is my mom than...OH MY!" Dusty contiuned "That's right Dusty. You were the pup that I pushed off." Niju said
It allcame back to Dusty. She remembered that night and the river. It was so familer to her because it was the one that she had fallen into. "You." said Dusty "remember the procchecy." asked Niju Dusty though about it..then said "The surving pup will be the one to free the pack...." Dusty relized that the pup Aniu was talking about was her. Dusty was the only one who could release the pack. "I'm the pup in the prochecy." said Dusty "Yes you are and the reason why Hayden and Pearl aren't the pups is because after you fell I used the power I had and trapped then in these rocks. They became no live nor dead. Time in their life had stopped. It will started again when they get out. That is why Hayden and Pearl are still pups and that is why are are the pup in the prochecy." Niju said "I don't understand. Mom siad we were going to meet our dad, but you must have stopped us." said Dusty "No Dusty...that isn't what ahppened" said Pearl. "Yeah" said Hayden "We knew this ever since we got sucked into the rocks." Naggie said Niju looked at Dusty" Dusty I am you father." he said
