Story 1, Chapter 1
A storm had entered the forst and mountains that night. The thnder and lightining were loud along with rain that felt like hail. A small pup that could that had been taught by her mother to walk either than others was for some reason ,but the puppies couldn't see very well. There was no blurr, but the three pups were still very little. There were three puppies, two little girls and a boy. They were following theremother someplace. She was growling at a wolf that the pups were going to meet, but didn't. The looks in the wolve's eyes were dark and staring. The pups folowed there mom knowing she would proctect them. "Who are to never return to this place!" said the dark wolf who scened to be a boy. "I won't be back. Stay away from me and my children." she said The male wolf jumped and they were fitting the pups were in fear as the dark wolf pounced at them. One of the girl wolves started to run, but the wolf was quick. He jumped at her and she slipped over a hign side of a cliff over a large river. The male wolf pushed the young pup and she fell into the river. It was cold and dark, but she couldn't swim. It wasas if the river had grabbed her by the paws and pulled her down. She felt water around her and it was going into her nose and lungs. She stopped moving and her eyes shut. Before the wate entered her ears the last thing she heard was "No!"

Dusty was alseep on the front porch, she always was sleeping on when she wasn't doing her job with Kodi, Kirby, and Ralph. This was when she has her time to herself, to do anything that she could even though she loved her job and friends, but she mostly enjoyed her friend Kodi. He was son of Balto and Jenna. Balto being a wolfdog and Jenna being a dog Dusty knew that Kodi did have wolf in his genes, but he had more dog. Dusty knew she was a dog and so were her parents...if her parents were still around. Dusty had neever met her day and her mom she had barly any memory of her mom or if she had siblings. Dusty started to wake up from her nap. Kodi was in front of her. "Hey Dusty." he said happily to her Dusty got uo quickly in front of her friend. "Kodi.." she said ""Dusty, me, Ralph and Kirby are going into the woods, outside of town. Do you want to come?" he asked nicely to Dusty "Sure." said Dusty as she got up the have fun with her friends.
Dusty followed her friends into the woods. They were sometimes creepy, but mostly not during the day. Ralph and Kirby were also with Kodi and Dusty as they ran behind them. They all were fast because of their mail jobs. Time flew by and Dusty started to notice that Kodi was missing. "Kodi?!" said said out loud "Over here" they heard Dusty, Ralph, and Kirby followed Kodi's voice and found him at the side of a river. "We can go swimming!" he cried The summer sun was beting down on them so Ralph was the first to jump in along with Kirby behind him. Dusty didn't have a smile on her face, but slowly paced in the river. As the other three played in the water Dusty sat there at the shallow end. This water felt cold againest her grayish-purplish fur. Kodi started to notice her in the shallow water at the edge of the river were the land started the be. He walked over to her. "Dusty are you ok?" he asked as Ralph and Kirby were laughing. "Kodi this place looks so strange...like i have scene it before and the water feels as if I have been here before." she said Kodi looked at her. "Try to remember Dusty." he said "Kodi you know I don't remember my life as a pup..well I remember when I meet you and was given a job and town to live in and that Dusty was my name." Dusty said to Kodi She felt so strange
"Hello!" cried a voice Kodi, Dusty, and the other looked up to find Balto and Jenna coming towards them. "Hi mom and dad." said Kodi Dusty smiled and went back to her thinking face. "Hello Dusty." said Jenna Dusty smiled again. "May I join you boys?" asked Balto "Sure dad." said Kodi. Both father and son jumped in the river to find Kirby and Ralph whating for them. Dusty stayed up on the land thinking still. Jenna started to notice Dusty's thinking face. "Dusty are you ok?" she said "Uh..." said Dusty "What?" asked Jenna "It's just..I..think I have seen this place before and the water's coldness feels strange." Dusty answered Jenna look carefully at Dusty "I don't know what to tell you but you remind me of someone." said Jenna Balto just walked up to shore and had heard what she said "You kind of look like Aleu, one of my daughters." said Balto "Who's Aleu?' asked Dusty Kodi walked up to her too. "Aleu was one of my sisters. She was the only pup that got the most wolf from dad. Aleu also had the look of a wolf and she never got a home." said Kodi Dusty had a look of sadness on her face. "Don't worry Dusty. She found a wolf pack and became leader." Balto said "I'm more upset about something else than that." Dusty said
"What?" said Kodi "I don't look like Aleu...do I" asked Dusty "Well you have the same fur pattern. Darker color starting at the nose and on the back along with the lighter color on the paws." said Balto "You also howled when we rescued Balto and Duke and it sounded really good" said Jenna Ralph and Kirby had joined then back on shore. "Maybe you are part wolf." said Ralph "Or have some wolf in you like Kodi." said Kirby Kodi, Balto, and Jenne knew they were only joking with Dusty, but she wasn't taking it that way. Dusty turned and ran. "I'm not part wolf. I'm all dog!" she screamed Kodi follower Dusty but she was too fast. He lost sight of her.
Meanwhile Dusty was running. "I'm all dog." she said to herself. Then she tripped on a rock and rolled down the hill side. Dusty screamed and tried to stop her herself, but she was rolling to fast. Dusty felling into a river and the water carried her into the center of the river. "Help...Help!" she screamed "I'm coming Dusty!" she heard "Kodi!" she cried, but something else was coming. Dusty looked behind her and was scared. Dusty was heading towards a water fall!
"Kodi hurry!" she cried to him. Kodi was running. "Dusty!" he cried "On no! A water fall!" said Jenna Dusty tried swimming, but the water was so strong. "No!" screamed Kodi. Dusty was coming close to the waterfall. Kodi had to save her. "Dusty." he said "Kodi!" cried Dusty, but it was too later. Dusty had dissapeared. The waterfall had taken her.
