Nicole's P.O.V.

We sat there for the longest time watching the northeren lights play in the sky. I was still pretty tired we had come from Klondike just to get here. I leaned over and put my head on Kodi's shoulder "we should get back" he sighed We walked back to the boiler room but he stopped me from entering turned to me with his lopsided smile pulled me in and nuzzled me, I stroked his neck with my muzzle. We pulled apart he gave me a quick peck on the cheek and we walked inside we curled up on the floor. 'I love him' I thought to myself as I drifted off to sleep. Next day Kodi had to run mail,and we had to go to White Mountion to collect a few things. "good luck guys" I said to kodi's team "thanks" a female answered sternly. I pretended not to notice and we took off. It didn't take us long we were back the next day round noon Kodi was there waiting for me. Instead of waiting to be released I slipped my harness and walked over to him he nuzzled me lovingly "I need to ask you somthing" he whispered.

I followed him I felt adreniline pulsing through my veins and my heart was pounding like a jack hammer he took me up to our hill. He turned to face me I could tell he was nervous "Kodi are you o-" He silenced me with a kiss "Nicole...will you be my mate?" he asked I was completely dumbfounded I felt my eyes water with tears "yes" I answered and nuzzled him under his chin I was crying again but this time so was Kodi we sat there a long time nuzzling "c'mon its time you net my parents Kodi said I follwed as we walked across the beach toward an old boat I could see two polar bear cubs, a goose, and a dog. "hey dad!" Kodi called ran up and gave him a quick hug. I sat awkwardly as they talked until Kodi finally turned and faced "dad this is my mate Nicole" he said. I hated talking to parents it made me nervous "Hello" I said shyly. "Its nice to meet you Nicole i'm Balto" my eyes widened a bit suprised but he didn't look like the type that liked alot of attention so I stayed quiet. After meeting everyone there Kodi took me into town to his mother's house we got along really well this time me and Jenna talked and Kodi sat and listened.

That night kodi took me to a shed behind his human's house I lay down on a soft blanket he cuddled up beside me and started licking my ear I giggled and nuzzled him. The next morning he was cuddled up beside me sleeping I nuzzled him gently and went back to sleep.

After a few weeks I realized I was pregnant. Me and Kodi were so excited to be parents, It didn't take long for my human to realize I was expecting. After about a month or so It was evadent that the pups would come any day now. It happened one rainy August night I felt a sharp pain in my stomach "Oh my god!" I exclaimed and started barking Perrault and his eleven year old daughter ran in and imdiately got some blankets and such. I pushed and heaved for hours on end until five little pups were nestled up to me nursing with a sigh I lay my head down.

It had to be at least three in the morning so I was suprised when Kodi walked in and lay down in front of me "Kodi" I whispered "sssshhh" he whispered and licked my cheek "get some sleep we'll talk when you wake up" I drifted off into a peacful sleep. I woke hearing one of my pups squeaking "sshh its ok" I said gently nuzzling the little red, white, and silver male. Once he stopped sqeaking I checked the other four making sure they were ok. "Morning beatiful" Kodi said I jumped startled "Kodi you scared me" I said he nuzzled me lovingly "sorry." he whispered "what do we call them?" I asked Kodi looked at them to. "The red one with the silver flame on her nose is Molly" Kodi said I nodded smiling "the red, white, and silver male next to her is Hope" I said. "The red and silver male is Chance and the red and silver female next to him is Erin" Kodi said The silver white and red female is Tally" I said. 

Kodi's family came over as soon as they heard we talked and introduced the pups for a while my team and Kodi's came and congratulated us,but that one girl Dusty looked really mad and I didn't understand why. weeks passed like minutes before we knew it the pups were running around playing but we watched them grow with pride.

One day me and the pups were by ourselves I had told Kodi to take it easy and that I would watch the kids he relunctently left to go hang out with Kirby "momma where's daddy" Erin asked "he's with your uncle Kirby." I said giving her a gentle nuzzel "now go play" I said nudging her toward her siblings.

"You took Kodi away from me!" A female growled behind me I jerked my head round to see "Dusty?" I said confused "Kodi's mine!" she growled and lunged at me I easily dodged her attack "What are you talking about? I'm not going to fight you especially not infront of my pups!" I snapped anger burned in my veins Dusty lunged again, growing up on the streets I knew how to fight and dodge attacks easily. She caught me off guard acting like she was going for my leg and went for my throat I gasped.

"Dusty!!" Two males exclaime it was Kodi and Kirby thank goodness. Kirby lunged at her pinning her to the ground Kodi ran over to me and licked my wound I watched fearfully as the two fought Dusty got loose "It isn't fair!!" she barked and sped away out of town "Thank you Kirby" I said "Kids are you ok?" realizing what they just witnessed. They ran up to me and started nuzzling I lay down and nuzzled them back Kodi walked over and curled up beside me and also gave me a gentle nuzzle I smiled happy to have my family with me.
