Twilight stretched happily. She and her new mate, Dash, were going to start their new lives together, first by creating a family.

Twilight walked out of her house, and layed down on the porch. She sun was beaming and there was one little wistfull cloud that she ignored. She loved her home, she loved her parents, she loved Dash. Then a thought entered her mind. I guess I do love Tessa too, but she is mad at me just because Dash chose me! A angry glare crept across her face. She was really mad with Tessa. 

Just then, Dash trotted up the walk. Seeing him, made Twilight happy. "Hey!" Dash greeted cheerfully. Twilight smiled and waited until she was standing before him to answer. "Hello hon." Twilight said, gazing into his ocean eyes. 

Dash nuzzled her and then whispered into her ear. Twilight jumped up and down in excitement and she trotted down the street with Dash. The walked until they were infront of the boiler room. Dash nudged Twilight inside and she looked at him, smiling hugely. Dash turned and locked the door. 

Twilight smiled that day as she left the boiler room. She must have been the happiest dog in the world! She walked alongside Dash until they got to the beach. They lay down in the squishy sand, thinking about what their pups would look like and what they should name them. Dash finally spoke up, "Twilight, do you think Tessa mad at me?" Twilight looked at him, wondering what he was going to say. 

"No. Well... maybe. I mean, she really wanted you and so did I. But you made your choice and she is just gonna hafta live with it!" Twilight exclaimed. Dash knew that she was right and he nodded. Then Twilight bumped Dash. "Race ya!" She exclaimed and plunged into the cold water. Dash laughed and dove in after her. 

While all this was happening, the two cheerfull dogs didn't see Tessa watching them with fire in her eyes. She grumbled to herself as she watched Dash and Twilight frolic. 

Tessa scratched and thought about what she should do to get her revenge on Twilight. A light bulb turned on over Tessa's head. She had thought of a briliant plan. 

"Twilight. Can I see you for a titchy second?" Tessa asked. Twilight and Dash stopped playing abruptly and stared at Tessa, shocked to see her standing there. So calmly. Twilight felt the fur on her neck hackles stand up. She knew that her sister didn't mean good news and she wasn't about to let her separate Dash from her since they had just started their new family. "What do you want Tess?" Twilight barked. 

Tessa smiled and Twilight saw a certain glint in her eyes. "Hey Dash." Tessa flirted. Dash replied but took a step away from Tessa. Twilight couldn't stand it. She pounced on Tessa, baring her fangs. Tessa growled, then barked at Twilight. Twilight struck at Tessa, ripping some fur away from her legs. Dash couldn't watch the two girls fight so he bolted off in the other direction. He knew just where he was headed. 

A few minutes later, Twilight and Tessa were lying side by side, snarling and growling. They had given up their fight since they were both tired. Dash finally showed up, followed by Balto. "TESSA! TWILIGHT!" His voice sounded angry. Tessa stood up and walked over to her father. "WHat happened?!?" He cried. Tessa explained then with one last snarl at Twilight, she walked away. 

Twilight walked with Dash back to Dash's house. The two sat on his couch, talking. Dash asked, "Twi? Do you know why Tessa is doin this?" Twilight looked at him, shrugged and answered, "I don't know." Dash nodded got off the couch. He walked to the doggie door and went out to the porch. 

It has been 5 weeks since the day in the boiler room with Dash and Twilight. Twilight was spending another day with Dash and they splashed about in the warm water at the beach. They also had been spending alot of time at the beach. Next to home, it was Twilight's favourite place. Dash looked beside himself at Twilight, gazing ever so slightly at her round tummy. 

Twilight caught him looking and turned away, laughing. Dash caught on to the joke and laughed too. Twilight turned back to look at him. She didn't know that he was so close to her that when she turned around, their noses touched. Twilight's face turned red but then she thought that there needn't be any reason to be embarrased because she and Dash were expecting pups. 

She nuzzled Dash and whispered in his ear, "I love you." Dash repeated her words and nuzzled Twilight back. The two stayed at the beach until 9:00 and finally went home. When Twilight got home, she lay on the couch and fell asleep. 

The next morning, when Twilight woke up. She saw Tessa standing about a hair away from Twilight. "Tessa!" She cried. "Oh sorry did I scare you?" Tessa asked. Twilight looked at her and replied coolly, "No I am just used to waking up with someone staring at me." She looked at Tessa and felt a small growl escape her throat. 

Tessa looked like she was up to something. "Okay." She sat on the couch beside Twilight, eyeing her huge tummy. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Twilight asked. Tessa said, "I just can't wait to be an aunty." Twilight nodded but she knew that Tessa was up to no good. She scooted away from Tessa who followed her every move. "Tess. I am gonna give it to you straight. You are totally freaking me out!!" Tessa took this the proper way and said, "Toodles." 

Twilight replied and ran out the door to Dash's house. When she got there, she saw Dash, walking out the door with a different girl. She gasped and frowned. No. No. This. It can't be true, Dash would tell me if he didn't want me as his mate anymore. But the sight in front of her was plain as the nails in her paws. Twilight growled and stomped over to Dash. 

"Hey Dash." She said as if nothing was wrong. "Who is your friend?" Dash looked at Twilight and nuzzled her affectionatly. Twilight nuzzled him back and he answered, "Twilight, meet my sister, Milley." Oh! So that's who it is! I came to the wrong conclusion! "Nice to meet you Milley. My name is Twilight." Milley returned the greeting and said, "I think I should leave you two love dogs alone." Then she left.

After quite a few days, Twilight was getting chubbier and chubbier. Dash was coming over almost everyday and finally, one night, the time came. The pups in Twilight have been in her for 4 months and the time had finally come. Twilight was lying in bed and then she suddenly felt this pain. "Owooo!" She howled. Her human heard her and realized what must be happening. She ran into the room with cold water and called, "Mom! Twilight! Hurry!" Her mother, Balto, and Tessa ran into the room. Her mother called Dash's owner and he brought Dash over right away.

Twilight howled in pain and after 5 minutes, she was fine. She had given birth to 5 beautiful pups and she and Dash licked each one clean. Her owner and her mother went back to bed. Suddenly, Tessa freaked and charged at one of the new born pups. Before Twilight or Dash could do anything, Tessa had killed the pup and was headed for another. But Dash quickly knocked her away. He growled. "Get away." 

Tessa glared at him then suddenly burst out crying. "I am soo soo sooo sorry Twilight and Dash. I was so mad because Dash didn't choose me and I am totally prettier than Twi. And I just killed one of my nephews or neices. I am so horrible." Twilight was crying harder because Tessa killed one of her pups.

Tessa nuzzled Twilight (a sister nuzzle) but Twilight pushed her away. "You killed one of my pups for no reason. I don't understand how mad you can get just becasue Dash chose me and NOT you. I don't understand. Will you explain?" Tessa looked at her and a smile spread across her face. "I am not saying anything." Twilight shook her head as Tessa walked out the door. Dash was laying beside Twilight. Twilight glanced at him and licked the remaining pups. 4 of them. They had 1 girl and 3 boys. 

Twilight and Dash named them and even though the 5th one was dead, they couldn't stand it not having a name. The girl was Milley, after Dash's sister, one boy that looked like Dash and Twilight mixed was named Dontay, one boy that looked like Tessa was named, Romeo, and the last boy was named Coby. The pup that was killed was named, Karmen. Twilight and Dash were devistated that Tessa killed Karmen but Twilight knew that one day soon, she would get Tessa back. She had something that she would totally do to Tessa. 

She wasn't letting her get away with killing Karmen.
