Dixxie and Jenna ran joyfully in the open feilds. They enjoyed playing together in the feilds when Jenna wasn't with her mate, Balto. Dixxie wished that she had a mate. If she did, she wouldn't be feeling so alone when Jenna left her to go hang with Balto. That is why she was so surprised when a really cute dog asked her out.
Dixxie ran around, chasing Jenna. "Dix! We have to stop playing now! Sorry. I have to go because I promised Balto that I was going to meet him in the bioler room for dinner." With that, Jenna ran off. Dixxie sat all alone in the now empty fields. "Why does Jenna always have to leave me? Why?" Dixxie screamed. "Why are you talking to yourself?" A voice asked. Dixxie turned around and saw the cutest dog she has ever met. "Who are you?" She asked almost immediatly. The dog smiled at her. "My name is Thunder. What is your name?" The dog asked Dixxie. "My name is Dixxie." Dixxie replied, gazing into his blue eyes. He smiled at her again. "That is a beautiful name. Most lovely." Thunder told her. Dixxie almost melted. She thought, He's cute. And he's friendly too. But he probably doesn't like me. Dixxie was about to turn around, when Thunder grabbed her paw.
"Where's the fire?" He asked, laughing. Dixxie stiffled a laugh. Thunder asked her, "Do you want to watch the sunset tonight?" Dixxie didn't know if he was asking her out or not so she answered, "Yea. Okay." Thunder smiled again. "Cool." Then he walked away, his brown fur ruffled by the wind. "Yep. He is definetly adorable." Dixxie sighed to herself. She layed down in the snow. Her tiny body, being slowly covered by the gentle snowflakes falling from the blue sky.
That night, Dixxie had made herself all pripped and preemed, getting ready for Thunder. She really liked him and hoped that if they hung out lots that maybe, their relationship would lead to the next level. If it did, Dixxie would be so happy. Maybe they would even have pups some day. But these were all thoughts. Dixxie didn't really think that they would come true. So she left her home, walking to the sinset spot. Thunder was waiting for her. "Wow! I guess it was really worth the wait." Thunder said as soon as he saw Dixxie step into view. Dixxie smiled and said her thanks. Thunder walked with her to the edge of the cliff. They watched the sunset in silence for a few minutes. Thunder looked at Dixxie. Dixxie looked at Thunder. They gazed into eachother's eyes for a while. Thunder started to say something, "I....." He didn't finish. He thought that it would be better not to go on.
Dixxie wanted to tell Thunder that she liked him, but changed her mind when her thoughts told her that it may be too quick. She just stared at Thunder for the longest time. Then it surprised her. Thunder bent in and kissed her. Dixxie's eyes popped open. She returned the kiss then got up and ran home. "Dixxie! Wait!" Thunder called out after her. But Dixxie was long gone. Thunder sighed. "I should've listened to my thoughts. They told me it was too quick. Now Dixxie will think that I am obsessed or something." Thunder said to himself.
At Dixxie's home, Dixxie said to herself, "Why? Why Dixxie? Why did you leave right after he kissed you? It could've led to lots more!!!" Dixxie cried. The Dixxie's owner called, "Dixxie! Come here girl!" Dixxie ran to her. Then she put Dixxie outside. Dixxie wondered why she did that for. Then she saw Thunder standing there. "Dixxie. I am sorry about what I did at the sunset spot. I am really sorry. You probably think that I am obsessed with you or something. But I just really like you and I want to know if you want to be my mate?" Thunder explained. Dixxie thought for a moment. "Okay." She smiled. She lept up on her hind legs and threw her front paws around Thunder's neck. Thunder returned the hug. "I love you Thunder." Dixxie smiled. "I love you too Dixxie. I love you alot and I won't ever let anybody take you away." Dixxie said, "That is the most wonderful thing anybody has ever said to me." Then she nuzzled him.
Thunder and Dixxie walked into the boiler later that evening. They talked. They promised that they would be mates for life. And Dixxie told him that she wanted puppies. Thunder did to so he shut the door. And that's when it happened.
