I...I can't believe that half breed would triumph over the fastest dog in Nome! And he's also tooken away my pride..my friends..Nikki, Kaltag, Star...Ohh noooo!!! "Jennaaa!!!!!"

Jenna woke with a start. She walked through the hallway, and down the stairs. She walked over to the living room. In the couch sat Rosie. "Jenna! Hiya girl!" She said. Jenna barked, and jumped up and down. "What is it girl? Do you want to go outside?" Rosie asked. Jenna nodded,  and ran to the door, barking. "Ok. see you later!" Rosie opened the door, and Jenna ran outdoors. The first place she was to visit was Balto's house.

"Balto! Wake up sleepy head!" Jenna called. Balto quickly walked up to the deck of the boat. He looked at Jenna and smiled, then climbed down the plank into the cold, hard snow. "Well it's about time!" She called. He walked over to greet her.

"Balto!" Boris honked. He walked to the deck, and jumped onto it. "What do you think you are doing? With all the cold, you get the flu!" He grumped.

"Hehe. Me? Get the flu? Nah!" Balto replied. He began to walk again. Then, he fell through the slippery snow and plunged into it's fridged flakes. "Ahh!" He hollered. "Umm, a little help?" He pleaded. Jenna pulled on his fur.

" I am telling you these things, but you do not listen." Boris replied. "Now get going. I bet that is what you were going to do. Oyy! Motion is the solution to all your problem!" He declared, jumping off the side of the boat. Then he  started to mop. Jenna and Balto took off like a flash of lightning.

"Come on, Balto! There's no bears-they're all hibernating. Remember?" Jenna told Balto. Balto stared at the ground, then looked up.

"Yeah, I think your right. I almost forgot it was winter!" Jenna giggled. She started to walk again, then gradually jog. Balto caught up with her and stopped her with his big paw. She looked at  him, confused. "What's wrong, Balto?" Jenna asked. Balto stepped in front of her. Then smiled.

"Nothing is the matter- nothing exept for that!" Jenna walked beside him, looked at him, then looked ahead.

"Ohhh!" She yelped, staring at a frozen waterfall, a rainbow reflected in it's glimmering ice. "Balto-you almost gave me a heart attack!" She laughed. They ran towards it, not knowing what was watching them.

"Yes, you go right ahead and walk towards it. You will soon be mine!" Steele glanced at Jenna and Balto through the icy dome, under the waterfall. A cave, almost, to be exact. Steele laughed a menaiacle laugh.

"W-what was that?" Jenna hollered, carfully watching the cave.

"I don't know. But I'm going to find out!" Balto replied. He raced to the cave's entrance; Growled at the dog in front of him. "Steele!" Balto hollered, his echoing voice in the air. This is a bigger cave than I thought it would be...Yeah..a good place to hide away and....Balto's thought's trailed off as he spotted the shadow on the floor. The shadow led to an enormos bear curled up in the corner. "...Oh boy.." Balto cried out, his mouth hung open in awe, in the shape of an o.

"Ready to run, Bingo?" Balto ran out the entrance, leaving Steele to ,what Balto was thinking, his doom. "Run Jenna! RUN!" Balto yelled, worried she would get hurt. "there's...a-a bear in that cave! And so was Steele!" Balto said, his tongue flopping to the side of his head.

"What?" Jenna replied.

"Lets just get out of here!" Balto said. Jenna nodded, as they ran off.

Jenna and Balto decided to make another, safer trip the next day. Steele is up to something, Balto thought to himself. And he had to do something about it. "Hurry up, Balto!" Jenna hollered. Balto's head jolted up from the ground as he started to race back with Jenna.

"Yeah", he said. Jenna looked suspicious. They kept walking.

Yes! I've got a new idea! I will make Balto 'fall in love' with a wild animal such as himself! This HAS to work! Maybe...the..fox....

Balto and Jenna stopped at the waterfall once more. "I remember this place like it was yesterday." Balto declared.

"From what?" Jenna asked.

" From when I was searching for Aleu; when I met that sneaky fox." He said, chuckling.

"Fox? Excuse me?!" Jenna barked.

"No no! Don't go jumping to conclusions! She was a fox-fox! Not a fox. Get where I'm going?" Balto spuddered.

"Ooohhh...her species is a fox. Oops, my bad!" Jenna laughed. Then Balto laughed. "Oh", Jenna yelped. "Hold on one second-I want to see that cave!" Jenna giggled, then ran off. Balto lept onto the log that led across the frozen waterfall. Then he saw a figure in the mist.

"Oh no", he gasped as he saw...the fox, sitting in front of him.

"Well well, if it isn't my one true love, Balto!" She growled.

"Wh-what?!" Balto hollered. Little did he know, Jenna was listening to every word, frowning. "I-I-I-I'm not!-" Balto almost spat the words out of his mouth. But, he saw another figure - no - TWO figures standing in front of him..Niju and Steele. They teamed up.

"Ahh, shhhhh." The fox jumped on top of balto. "We musn't let Jenna know." She whispered.

"No." Said a voice. Balto looked over  at his one true love. Jenna.

"Ohh! Jenna! This isn't what you think it-" Balto tried to tell her.

" No!" Jenna repeated. "You lied! You-you ARE with the fox! You DO think shes' a fox! YOU SAID SO YOURSELF! You-you are the WORST!" Balto had never seen Jenna so mad in his life. The fox smiled and jumped off of Balto. Balto lept up from the ground. " You are a-a.." Jenna hesitated. " A WILD ANIMAL! JUST LIKE SHE IS!" She shreiked, then ran off. Balto's head turned to the fox. He began to cry. His saddness disapeared into rage, as he started to growl at her. She laughed. Balto lept onto her, pinning her on the ground.  Teardrops fell to the ground. "Who made you do this!?" He screamed. "WHO?!" He began to yell. The fox gasped. "WHOO??!!" He repeated, screaming even louder. "Steele and Niju!" The words hit Balto's head like a bomb. He wept as he raced off to town, to finnaly get rid of them- For good.

As Balto crept up to Jenna's window, he began to grow angry again. Cool down, you are trying to win her back! He scolded himself. He peered through the window, only to see the must horrifying sight. Jenna was flirting and nuzzling Steele. Jenna loved Steele.

Jenna loved Steele.
