Lupis walked into his camp carring a squirrel, his blue eyes searched the camp and he found Sassy. Sassy had been in the pack for awhile but still was treated how she should be treated. He looked at her stomach she was skinny almost to skinny. Than Lupis remembered the only wolves that treated Sassy right was the alphas but they were gone on a hunting misson.
The sky started to turn purple as a sign that it was almost night. As other wolves went out of the camp to hunt and others went to sleep, Lupis remained awake he decided he wanted to give Sassy his squirrel. He walked out of the den and went to the hole that they kept their kill in. He sniffed everything making sure to get the same exact squirrel.
He walked slowy so nobody would hear his paws touching the snow. When he made it to the small den where the 5 omegas slept he crept inside. This was the first time he would be in here he saw Sassy at the corner shivering. Than Lupis felt the cold wind himself so he jumped back out of the den.
Leaves were visible on the far side of the camp so he got some and went back to the omega's den. He carefully put the leaves around Sassy. Than as quiet as he could he layed the squirrel down beside her and slowy backed out of the den.
The next morning
Snow fell as hard as rocks and Lupis couldn't find any prey. Than something ran into him and he was about to get up and growl but he smelled his pack. He stood up and saw Sassy standing in front of him "Thanks" she said. "Ho..How..Did you" "I smelled the squirrel it had your scent on it." she said smiling back at him. Lupis felt like a pup how could he forget about the scent.
They looked at each other for awhile before a rabbit hopped out of the bramble and Lupis caught it in one swift move. As they began to walk back Lupis felt something he had never felt and he blurted"You want to hang out tonight" he smiled trying to cover up his stupid words.
"Yeah I would like that" she said. His tail starting wagging like a dog it got faster and faster and he sat on it. Than when Sassy walked into camp Lupis ran off in search of flowers. The snow killed all the flowers except for the one in the secret cave. The huge tree shadowed Lupis as he jumped into the cave and looked at all the flowers he picked out 3 roses and headed back to camp.
That Night
Sassy was waiting for him when he returned. He gave her the flowers and she put them in their den before they headed off. They walked to the cliff and watched the northern lights circle and dance around them. Than Lupis leaned in but before he could make a move sassy touched noses with him and licked him. He smiled at her licking her again and leaning on her. Sassy's nose was under Lupis's fur as she nuzzled him.
They walked back to camp nuzzling each other. "What do you think your doing" said the Alpha male's voice. "Thunder I thought you were gone" Lupis said scared to death. Silver the Alpha female told Thunder that she would walk Sassy to her den. Lupis tried to follow but Thunder said to follow him.
Thunder sat down on a rock and Lupis jumped up behind him and sat down beside him. "There are plenty male omegas good for Sassy" said Thunder. Lupis just nodded his head and ducked his head down and frowned. Thunder frowned too and was about to jump off of the rock when Lupis said"Her eyes I'am lost in them." Thunder turned around.
"Her fur her soft silky fur and her markings and everything about her" Lupis said looking up at the sky still frowning. "I'am sorry Lupis but we can't change Alpha Law because of you" Thunder whimpered. Lupis sat there for hours by himself before tears swelled up in his eyes.
The next day
Lupis was still sitting on the rock when Sassy trotted up behind him. "Lupis are you ok" she asked, Lupis looked at her and said "We can't be together the Alpha said so." Sassy looked at him and nodded and he ran off. Sassy returned to camp later and still couldn't find him.
Sassy wondered if he had run away but she tried to keep it out of her head. 2 hours went by and there was still no sign of Lupis. Now wolves were going out to look for him and others were howling waiting for an answer. Sassy was in horror the only thing she held dearly was gone!
Lupis
Lupis hadden't stopped running for hours and hours and as the sun went down he suddenly stopped and collapsed. He was so tired he couldn't even lick up any snow. When he closed his eyes he saw Sassy's eyes. Why had he ran away he wondered but than remembered he'd rather die than be seperated from Sassy.
A stick cracked and Lupis perked his ears. He heard many growls that didn't sound like wolves so he stood up ready to fight......
Sassy
Sassy looked up at the sky and thought she saw Lupis's eyes glowing in the sky. She stood up and looked at the moon which her pack was known for. It was about midnight and she hopped out of her den in a swift move(which Lupis taught her), she picked up a rabbit from the fresh kill pile.
Than she looked back before leaving the camp. As she turned and ran these words kept echoing in her head "I love you Sassy".......
Lupis
Mountain lions circled Lupis if it was just one it would be fine but there was about 20. Lupis fought for his life but was slowy losing it. When the mountain lions thought he was dead they walked off. Lupis crawled towards a stream leaving a blood trail.
When he made it to the other side he noticed the blood had been cleaned off of him so he just crawled on before stopping at falling asleep.
Sassy
Sassy ran into a patrol and they told her something horrible."We followed a blood trail and it was Lupis's blood and there wasn't any blood on the other side so he drowned....he..... is de....ad dead" the wolves told Sassy. Sassy was about to burst out in tears but instead she howled she was freaking out and nothing else to do.
The next day she walked to the waterfall to wait for his body to say her goodbyes but she didn't know he was limping through the forest of a forien land.....
Lupis
Lupis couldn't walk on one of his legs so he limped around. He followed his blood trail and tried to find a way back quickly so the lions wouldn't see him again. When the sun came out from behind the mountains and started melting Lupis sped up.
He thought he saw the spirit of Aniu but thought he was just crazy and he howled as loud as he could....
Sassy
Sassy heard a howl and turned around but ran into something. She looked up it was a bear and she was right there ready to die. Right when the bear claws went up a wolf jumped on the bear. "LUPIS" exclaimed Sassy as the wolf attacked with his life.
The rock under them started to crack and it fell. Sassy was pushed by Lupis to safety but he gripped on tightly to the bear. "NO!!!!" she howled as other wolves appeared behind her. Silver and Thunder looked over the cliff and howled down to Lupis. When they started to walk back to camp a paw appeared from over the cliff. "LUPIS" everyone exclaimed.
They helped Lupis up and he had a flower in his mouth. Sassy smiled when she that at licked him. He was injured but not badly and now he is ok. His mate is his medicine and Sassy and Lupis howled together.
Later on
Lupis and Sassy secretly were in love for a long time. All was good except Silver kept her eye on Lupis most of the time. One day Silver told him that a guardian wolf which were just above the omegas was interested in Sassy. Lupis was angered by this but as the guardian wolf began to get closer and closer to Sassy Lupis got more angry.
Lupis was afraid about losing his girl but he was afraid the guard would get her alone and well. He pushed the thought out of his head Sassy wouldn't have pups with him would she he wondered. A queen in Moonrise Pack named Kaji had just had new pups they looked like German Shepards, than he remembered one of her mates was a police dog.
Sassy was gone hunting and Lupis was left wondering if she was with the guard alone than he felt fur rub against him. "Hey there Lupie sir" Lupis turned around to see Kaji. Lupis knew what she wanted but he just ingnored her. Kaji just kept talking and talking about his eyes but he was angry at the guardian wolf that wanted pups with Sassy.
His anger filled him and he trotted of by himself as the sun went down. Later on Kaji had come to bug him again. He didn't like her and to tell the truth thought she wasn't pretty and once again trotted off away from her. Lupis wasn't happy about ignoring her but she was quite a she wolf.
When Sassy returned Lupis was waiting to greet her and when the guardian walked up behind them Lupis jumped between him and Sassy. "Hello" growled Lupis and the guard ran off. Wimp thought Lupis snorted he was hardly mean but when it came to Sassy he could kill a hunter.
Sassy licked him back and he shivered at her beutiful eyes and than when Lupis looked at the ground he knew it was almost spring.
Spring was almost 5 months away and Lupis become a sword protecting Sassy. Spring meant pup season and Lupis and Sassy both agreeded they wanted some. Lupis was excited about being a dad but not sure how to hide it from the pack. He than thought he could convince the leaders to let Sassy be the Delta female. Sassy trotted off and got a rabbit from the fresh kill pile and they shared it.
Moonrise Pack would never be the same after this year. Than wait until the pups were born.
