Wolf story
As a wolf, I hadn’t a faintest Idea what was going on, now if I was older I might of understood the fight a little, but since I was only a pup who had just come into the family... well you can guess, I just sat there and watched as my new owners literally killed each other. Yes, they killed each other, so now I was sitting watching dead people lying on the floor. The family had no children so; I was left to fend for myself.

A young wolf, only 4 weeks old, left to fend for myself,
Oh did I forget to mention my name? It’s Deacon. I have sisters and brothers but I don’t know where they are…
I wish I did… I think they are called Lilly, Poppy, Dana, Vinny and Spot. But they might have changed their names due to the fact that they were taken in by other people too.

Since there was no one to look after me any more, wait… I remember my owners saying that they were going to bring me up as a sled dog. That I would be in races… That was my dream since I was born, but now I can’t do it since they’re dead. I growled at a cat which had just waltzed in.
“You think that’s going to scare me? Well think again pup.” Tinkle said sitting down, and staring at the dead bodies.
“They’re dead…” I said.
“I gathered that when I walked in.” Tinkle replied. “Say, weren’t you going to be in a dog-sledding team?”
“Yes, but I can’t now, can I?” I wondered.
“Yes, but we will have to travel to Nome, they don’t do dog-sledding here in Midnight.” Tinkle purred.
“Yeah, I know… My owners were going to bring me to Nome.” I said deciding it would be fun to chase my tail.
“Our owners, you mean.” Tinkle glared at me with her crystal clear eyes.
“Opps sorry,” I said realizing that this was her house too.
“It’s ok,” Tinkle smiled.

Tinkle led me out the cat flap; somehow I got out it… For a pup I was actually quite big… or was it the fact that Tinkle was tiny for a fully grown cat… yes that was it, I hadn’t realized how tiny she was. I followed her to a tiny house on the outskirts of Midnight; this was where Midnight’s brother Lobo lived. Lobo, had fallen in love with a wolf who had tried to kill him, yeah I know crazy right? But since he had ran away he was only allowed to live in the outskirts, he lived with the traitor, who was a bluish white wolf who called her-self Poppy. Wait! Poppy? That was his older sisters’ name.
“My older sister is called Poppy…” I said to Tinkle.
Surprised Tinkle turned around, “What? Shes a traitor to this town!” She hissed.
“I know, you had just told me! I was just saying that my older sister was called Poppy, I didn’t say that that was the Poppy you were talking about did I?” I growled.
“Oh, sorry…” Tinkle apologized.
“It’s alright.” I said licking her.

We scratched on Lobo’s door. Poppy answered.
“We don’t get many visitors, come in please!” Poppy said stepping out of the way to let us in. “Even if it’s a cat and a pup…” She trailed off. “Brother?”
“Huh?” I said, I hadn’t been paying attention, I was more interested in the house, it was a small but lively place, and there was a deer rug on the floor, a nice cosy looking bed for two.
“Wow, this place is amazing…” I said looking about once more.
“I know, we love it, don’t we Pops?” Lobo said coming in from the back door.
“Yep, Lobo.” Poppy said.
“Why do you look familiar?” I asked Poppy.
“Because I’m your older sister, that’s why.” Poppy laughed.
“Okay… Right what are we here for?” I asked Tinkle.
“Oh, we are just here to pick up something addressed to you.” Tinkle said.
“And what would that be?” I asked.
“This,” Tinkle said picking up a letter with her mouth. “Right we’ll be on our way.” She said but it was muffled.
“Emm… ok bye.” Lobo said.
We walked out of the house and made for the forest.
“Wouldn’t it be wise if we sleep before we go, because it’s getting kinda dark?” I asked Tinkle.
“Yeah, you’re right. Come…” Tinkle said walking into the forest, but instead of going forward she took off to the right where there was a small cave. “We can sleep in here.”
“Ok,” I said walking into the cave. “Wow, this is amazing for a cave!”
“Do you find everything amazing, or is it just me?” Tinkle glared.
“Yeah I guess I do…” I whined backing into a corner.
“Just be quiet and get some sleep!” Tinkle purred, getting onto a straw bed.
“Right,” I said climbing onto the other one.

The next day, we got up and walked outside. “I’m starving!” I yelped.
“I’ll go get something to eat since you are too young.” Tinkle said walking deeper into the forest, “You stay here!”
“I will!” I howled.
While waiting for Tinkle to come back I decided I would go for a wonder around the cave. I found a box behind the cave, I got curious and looked inside, and in it was a necklace, a box of tissues and a book which looked like a diary. I decided the necklace was more interesting that the other stuff so I climbed into the box to retrieve it. The problem now was that I could get out. “Darn… Tinkle said not to wonder off and I did so she’s going to kill me now.
“Deacon?” Tinkle wondered, “You’re in the box aren’t you?”
“Yes, sorry!” I called.
“It’s ok,” Tinkle said coming round the back to help me out. “Dogs always get stuck in there.” She laughed.
“Can I tell you something?” I asked Tinkle.
“Of course, go ahead.” Tinkle said tilting her head.
“I’m not a dog I’m a wolf, but please; please don’t tell anyone…” I said whimpering.
“Wow, now I’m amazed.” Tinkle said staring at me. She finally got me out of the box and we started to eat the fish that she had caught.
“Nice…” I said eating the last piece of fish that that I had.
“You’re welcome!” Tinkle mewed.

After we ate, we headed out deeper into the forest, my body started to shiver, little did I know, I was actually scared of forests, I suddenly realized this when an owl hooted.
“Ahhh!” I screamed, hiding behind a bush, there was a leopard there with me, but it was only a cub, but I still got scared by it.
“Ahhhhhhhh!” I screamed louder.
“Grrr!” Said the leopard, laughing.
“In the name of cats, would you stop it?!” Tinkle hissed.
“Sorry…” The leopard said, sitting down, “I’m Holly, and you are?”
“I’m Tinkle and that’s the scared dog, Deacon.” Tinkle replied.
“I’m not scared, I was just surprised.” I said growling playfully.

Holly decided she would travel with us until we got to the end of the forest where she would have to leave us because she would be killed if she came any further.
We travelled for hours in the same direction; west. It was getting dark now and I was getting hungry again.
“I’m hungry!” I yelped.
“Well, there is no river round here so I can’t get fish.” Tinkle said disappointed.
“I could get something?” Holly asked.
“Ok, but be quick, my tummy’s rumbling.” I said, sitting down.
Holly came back with a deer; she dropped it at our feet, and then began to rip into the flesh.
“Plenty for all! Dig in!” Holly purred.
“Emm… I’m a cat and cats don’t eat deers…” Tinkle said with disgust.
“Oh…sorry,” Holly said regretfully.
“Its ok, I’ll try it,” Tinkle sniffed the deer, satisfied with the smell of it she bit into it, for once she found meat that she likes.
“It’s nice!” Tinkle mewed after finishing her bit. “I’m stuffed now.”
“That’s good!” Holly purred.

They made their way deeper and deeper into the forest, Tinkle was sniffing around, since when cats started sniffing I dunno, but after all I was only a pup and didn’t know much.
“Ok can we sleep now?” I asked.
“Yes!” Tinkle mewed.
We lie down in some leaves and fell into a dreamless sleep.

Little did the three animals know, that someone, a killer, was watching them, and little did they know he would strike any minute and kill them all… He creped up to them and POUNCE!
