Some say that wolves are dimwitted, but Cyber was not a normal wolf, he took on some features of humans, like the way they walk, and the way they talk, he could, however also talk to animals.

He awoke on that winters day only to find himself lost within the tundra, alone. "Huh? Wha....where am I?" he muttered to himself, "Alphonse? Scottie?" but there was no reply. He stood up peering out into the icy grave that surrounded him, "What is this?" then he began to walk, alone, cold, miserable.

He wandered for hours, trying to find shelter, but it was a plane of virtually nothing but snow and ice. "This isn't fair!" he screamed, falling down face first into the snow.

"Why?" he said to himself in a quiet voice, then started to scream, "Why me?!" Then he felt a wet feelinf on his hind paw, his feet were bleeding because of the extreme cold he had been walking on for all this time.

Then, finaly calming down, he heard something, a wolfs' howl. His ears perked up and he looked off to the north. There he saw a great white wolf stand before him. It was Baltos' mother, Anui.

"Who is this weary traveler the Elders have bestowed upon me?" she asked.

Cyber calmly replied "I am Cyber DiVinci, son of Dasch DiVinci."

"I am Anui." she said back. "Cyber, was it?" he nodded back to her and then stood up, looking straight into her eyes with distinction. "You've potential young one, perhaps you'd carry out a mission for me?"

"Yes." he said then looking at her face gently losen up as she became comfortable with his presense.

"Come." she said whisking her head in the western direction. Cyber didn't have a choice, it was either this or be killed out here from starvation. No matter what he had gotten himself into, it was his burden now.

About a mile into the trek, she began to explain what Cyber had to do, "My son, Balto, he has the same potential as you, and he has to help a desperate young girl by the name of Rosie, he'll fill you in on the details later, but you must train him Cyber." she turned around to Cyber who was looking into the distance. "Cyber!" she said raising her voice.

"Don't worry about it, I know what I have to do, I was listening."

"Right," she said nervously as she gazed into the future, through Cybers' eyes, then the vision became blurred and red. "Okay, j-just making sure." then they continued to walk for about five more hours, the sun set and then they came to a hill.

"This is where I take my leave brave Cyber." There were lights below them shining, they had made it to Nome. "You know of your duties, and I trust you."

Cyber stood amazed, looking down at the lights, he had never had lights like this! But before he could turn around to ask any questions, Anui was gone.  Alone once more, Cyber let out a howl and raced into the town.
