Amber raised her head and caught a scent, " What is that, or better, who?" Amber questioned out loud. Amber was a blue-gray she-wolf with blue and red streaks through her fur. "That scent is so familiar..."
"AMBER!" Balto yelled.
"BALTO!" Amber ran a nuzzled her older brother and breathed in his well-known, warm smell.
"I thought I would never see you again!" she exclaimed, then looked quizzically at him, "Why are you so far from Nome?"
"You remember Jenna, right?" Balto asked grimly.
"Of course! How could I forget her!" Amber grinned from the merry memories that she shared with Jenna, then looked inquiringly at her older brother, "Why? Is there something wrong? Did she leave you?!"
Amber was fuming even before she heard the answer. "I’ll kill her for it you know that! I will, no one hurts my brother and gets away with it!"
Amber’s anger was completely aroused; she stomped in the direction of Nome, when Balto stopped her.
"No, she didn’t leave me, or at least the real her didn’t." Balto drifted off slowly, sadly.
Amber was totally lost, "What do you mean?" she asked.
Balto sighed, "Amber, Jenna has amnesia, and she’s scared of me! I was wondering if you and your friends still healed animals because—" Balto was cut off mid-sentence.
"Well duh! Why wouldn't we, just let me get them; one second" and with that, she raised her head and howled a strange howl, one mixed with the crackling of a fire.
Three howls answered, all had a similar strange sound; the first was mixed with the whistle of wind, "That's Chooka!" Amber exclaimed.
The second howl was mixed with the sound of rushing water, "Oh, good! Seadra heard too!"
Amber continued with the list of friends.
The last one was mixed with the sound of crunching gravel, "That will be Rose." Amber said beaming as she saw her friends,aka her adopted family running toward her.
"What's the matter?" Seadra asked, she was a beautiful white she-wolf with blue and green streaks woven through her fur, and gorgeous, bright peridot green eyes.
"Yeah, your call was urgent!" exclaimed Chooka,she was a magnificent gray she-wolf that had red and white streaks through her fur, and pretty maroon eyes.
"Couldn't be any more urgent!" Rose sounded annoyed with the secrecy. Rose was a she-wolf who had green and purple streaks in her mud colored fur, she has fantastic dark green eyes.
"Ok, so you guys remember Jenna, right, yeah, well she has amnesia, and we need to help her, are you up for it?" Amber explained.
"Well-" Seadra began.
"That was more of a 'hey, you get to come with me whether you like it or not' thing, not a 'let's debate this' kinda thing, are we clear?" she asked in a matter of fact voice, as if she did this every day.
"Right away oh Geat Mistress!" Chooka exclaimed sarcastically, and suddenly.
"Oh hush up!" Akber giggled.
"UM SORRY TO INTERUPT," Balto interjected loudly, "BUT WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT ISSUE TO ATTEND." he finished.
Remembrance washed over Amber's face, "OH! Oh yeah, lets go!" she said excitedly.
They travled back to Nome, they group was joking and laughing, when they saw the worst sight possible, Jenna was nuzzling Steele.
"I KNEW IT! I'LL KILL HER BEFORE WE CAN HELP HER!" Amber yelled, while being restrained by her friends after trying to charge at Jenna.
All Balto could do was stare, What did he do? What did I do?
