Night Lights in the Sky

By: Sam Dochoda (Aljan)

This night is yours to keep, my love…

For I give it to you for its yours as it is mine…

The wind blows our fur together…

Intertwining them in a dance of love…

Look there, love, look!

The night lights dance across the skies…

In a fury of blue, magenta, pink, and many other colors…

Our eyes meet…

Then you rub your muzzle into my chest lovingly and watch the sky once more…

My heart is filled with love and joy…

Then as one, we raised our voices to the night…

Our song echoed across the grassy plains and beyond…

We are the children of the moon and stars and the night, we sing…

Hear us!  Listen!  Hear us!

Feel our joy…our love…and friendship…

We howl throughout the night…

My heart is filled with love…and so is yours…

As the night lights disappear…our eyes close in sleep…

Our dreams are one…as we are…

We dream of stars…friendship…

And night lights…
