Change

Just after Balto had come back from his trip with Alue he ran to Rosies house hoping to find Jenna. He entered the old house quietly with out making a sound and then he started to bark. ''Jen...Jenna are you in?'' Balto called from the bottom of the old creeky stairs but there was no reply so he went back to his boat to imform Boris that he had returned from his visit and to ask if he had seen Jenna but Jenna was already there waiting for him.

As soon as Balto was in view Jenna sprang to her feet and ran towards Balto with excietment.                                             ''Balto Balto.'' Jenna cried. '' I've got some news I am pregnent!'' She said in a extreemly enthusiastic voice.                                    '' Really well thats great does er Boris know?'' Balto questioned. ''Oh yeah I wanted to tell you first since you are the father but when Boris and I were talking it just sort of came out. But how exciting we are going to have a second litter can you beleive it.'' Jenna said in a voice that that seemed keep on getting higher. 

'' Yeah this is fantastic like a dream come true so... er when are the pups due I mean do have a date at all.'' asked Balto cuiriously.                                                                                ''Not really at the moment but what we do know is that the birth will be some time between late spring and early summer and most of the vets at the vet practice I go to, have a very very strong feeling it will be on the 12th of April.'' Jenna replied. ''Oh and I almost forgot to ask em well on the 15th of April I've em started orginising a big party with all our friends and family in the boiler room to celebrate the birth and after wards I was thinking that maybye we coulder talk about the trip you  and Alue went on to Anvil creek since we wont be able to talk about it before then because I am now aparently going on that 8 week camping trip with Rosie tomorrow. Well anyway I got so buisy planning it all with all the food the decorations everything that I er I forgot to ask if you wanted to make an apearence or not because you don't have to come and don't feel guilty if you don't want to thats fine plus you don't have to do anything buy or bring anything for the party since I have pretty much done every thing thats needed but obviously if the pups come late we will have to delay it. So er what do you say want to come or not?'' Asked Jenna nerviously.

''Of corse, I would love to come honey and darling to be honest I wouldn't miss it for the world.'' Balto replied firmly. ''Perfect and I promise I will inform you about any further details you need to know about. And thats pretty much it so er I'll see you when I get back, love you.'' Jenna said through a smile whilst quickly giving Balto a kiss on the maw and briskley trotting off in the direction of her old house.

On the 12th of April, excactly 2 days after Jenna had returned from her 8 week long camping trip with her little human pup Rosie, Jenna gave birth seperatly to 5 beatiful little pups pups.

The eldest was a girl who was very pretty with soft glossy fur like her mums and she had a white under belly, 4 white socks, a white muzzle and the tips of her ears were white but the rest of her fine coat was red she was also very fast and with some training she could out run the great Balto and they called her Rose.

The second eldest was a girl also and her structure and figure was identical to Jennas but she had a wolfs tail and her dads eyes. She also inherited her dads markings and the colour and texture of his fur so they called her Anika since Balto claimed she looked identical to his sister Anika, who arcording to his mother and father was seperated from the pack and later shot by hunters.

The next oldest was yet another girl but she who wasn't that fast and didn't inheret any of her parents particular featues since she was like both her parents put together for example her coat was neither red or brown it was in fact a redish brown roan sort of colour so they called her Scarlet since they thought the closest colour to what she was.

The next pups were two identical twin boys, and it was were imposible to tell them apart, and they were named Rocky and Arrow and they were red all over except they had 4 light brown socks and a long wolfs tale of which they inherited by their father.

And so on the 15th of April they had the most wonderful party to celebrate the birth of their 5 beautiful little puppies, Rose, Anika, Scarlet, Rocky and Arrow. And after the party Balto and Jenna sat down by the boiler to talk about their newborn pups, who were at that moment in the capable hands of Boris the goose.

"Hey Balto I'm so excited about going on that trip to the Nome sled racing track tomorrow with the pups it will be our very first family outing!'' exclaimed  excited Jenna.                                 ''No way lets go to the Applegate sled racing track it's sooooooooo much better.'' Balto argued back. ''Now way! anyway why would we want to go there i'ts so stupid all the thugs and only idiots go there.'' Jenna responed.

'' Hey I practice for my races there which means you're saying that I'm an idiot!'' Balto yelled. ''No I'm not.'' Jenna yelled back ''Well thats what it sounded like to me...'' '' Balto shut up for a moment.'' Jenna exclaimed while cutting Balto off in mid sentence. '' Balto don't you realize this is the 13th argument we have had since I've come back from the camping trip.'' Jenna exclaimed begining to raise her voice again. ''So'' Balto said grumpily while he sat slouched in the middle of the room. '' So...well you see on the trip I kind of think that I missed Steeles constant wooing more more than you so I er I don't...er...think that I...I don't love you any more I er don't think it's meant to be.'' Jenna hardly said. '' Jenna what are you saying you're braking up with me? And what if it is meant to be.'' Balto said in a high pitched tone while he stood nuzzling her comfortably. ''Then fate will bring us back together and as for the pups well I will look after them for 8 weeks until they are fully weaned and then I will hand them over to you since you are a capable father and I have no doubt in you and I'm sure you will raise them just fine. So Balto I guess this is good bye then so... good luck Balto.'' Said Jenna while she kissed him on the forehead and briskley trotted off in the direction of her house.

Balto was truly heart broken but had to carry on so he put on a brave face and tried to never look back for the pups sake and he did his best to raise them into good creatures but all of the hard work he put into this paid of and Balto never ever regreted it.
