Ch.7 : New York nights

   "Ahhh,finily in a hotel room!"I said feeling all so relaxed as I nearly fell on the couch.We hit trafic & took forever finding a good place to stay."Talk about a royle pain,"whispered Cooro to Okami.They both giggled & snickered as I pulled a mad face."Like your one to talk!"I said as I through a pillow at him.

   "Let's stop acting like pups & get settled in.The portle might not appear until next week,"said Okami as she tryed to stop laughing at the two males fighting in frount of her.Of course the place only had two bed rooms & 3 beds.Okami got a room to herself because she clamed that she'd rather die than share a room with Cooro or me.

   When Cooro & I settled in our room,it was pitch black outside.I looked out the window & then I felt something.Something weird was going to happen,but I didn't know what."Whats wrong,Ash?"he asked me as he streeched his arms & 2 big black wings that came out of his back."Oh.Ummm.It's nothing,"I lied.

   That night I couldn't sleep.So I watched some TV & waited for the feeling to go away.Then there was a sliding sound,like a glass door.I knocked on Okami's door to see if it was her.There was no answer.She must be asleep.I'll check on her in the morning,I thought.I had gotten tired,but the feeling was still there.So I went to bed.

   Cooro & I were startled by a loud girl's scream that morning.We both looked at each other & ran to Okami's room.When we got to the door & looked at each other again."You go in.You spent more time with her.I'll just wait out here,"he said.I nodded & opened the door going in.Okami was sitting up in her bed with the covers pushed away from her.Tears fell down her face as she looked at the blood on her & the sheets.

   "Okami!"I said running to her.She trembled in fear off her bed coming to me.Instinktively, I held her in my arms as she cried laying her head on my chest."Where did..?How did..?"she said as she cried."I-I don't know,"I said staring at the blood.I looked at Okami searching for any wounds,but there were none.

   Then I remembered the door sliding sound & looked at it.Hand prints of blood were on it.No,she wouldn't!Would she?,I thought to myself.

   It was night once again & this time I kept a sharp eye on Okami.Every once & a while I would peek in to make sure she was there.It was about midnight when I heard the door again.I ran to her room & saw the young female nealing on the balcony's eage looking down at the city's streets.

   "Okami?"I asked puzzled by her awakeness.She looked to me,light had changed to darkness in her silver-like eyes.She didn't seem to know who I am or where she was.Then before I knew it she had jumped off the side & to the ground.I hurryed to the eage to look if she was harmed,but all I saw was a part girl part wolf all dangerous thing land safely on the ground.

   She started to run off.I had to catch her before something bad happened,so I jumped off as well changing to werewolf form.The balcony was only 4 storys high from the ground so it didn't hurt when I landed.This is a bad time for me to be out like this,I thought running after her.

  I cornered Okami in an alley & she look furious looking at me."Okami don't do this.You don't need to kill,"I said to her.she came at me with 5 sharp claws,inches away from my face as I moved.I pushed her with my right hand near her neck causing her to go backwards.She crashed into the wall reminding me of our first fight in karate class.

   Okami was nocked out by my blow.I walked to her to check to see if she was alright.Then I turned back to human form & picked her up caring her back to the room.Once I got to the elivator she started to wake up."Ash..?Why do I feel so hurt?Ow!"she said gripping her chest."It's a long story.I'll tell you in the morning,"I promised as I layed her on the bed.

   She fell quickly back to sleep.I looked around me to make sure we were alone as I kissed her on the head.After that I saw a smile revile itself on her face.I smiled back & went to bed myself for a good night's rest.
