CH. 17: unbreakable Chains

   "what do you two have to say for eachother? out all night with no heads up & no kill to return for proof that you hunted insted of just kissed eachother?!" My father yelled at Okami & I. We were in the throne room which was a bad place to talk alone due to the echos.My father paced the floors infrount of us in his wolf form, claws scraching up the marble flooring.If you had sencitive hearing, you would be dieing from the little screaching noises from them.

   "As for you ,Ms.Okamima Roso Blackheart,you learned the laws at your pup age & should know better that it is a dishonorable law to be a knight's daughter & have a romantic relationship with the prince of the lunar clan!" she put her ears down looking as if about to cry out her sins & unworthyness. The king's face was hard & angered like he was going to just jump at us & bite our throats off."Okami, I sentence you to 5 years in the dongen!"

   A pair of wolves came in & one bit her in the back of the neck dranging her while the other made sure she didn't refuse. I saw pain & sorrow in her eyes. Both of us shedded a tear. I sighed & sat on the ground with my head down. I could feel my fathers deadly glare looking down at his shamful son. He took a deep breath & put a paw on my shoulder. "its for the best son, its for the kingdom," he said. I wanted to take my chance to attack him or attack the leaving guard wolves, but I didn't. I was too weak with a black hole in my heart.

   Strange how whenever your inlove with a person, your heart is broken off & on all the time until that finil blow makes you feel no air & you can't breath anymore. "Ashten, we will find you a new mate. One that will keep the royal blood line afowing," He smiled pasted that still lightly blushed face of his that he got from his anger. I sighed & just moped my way out of the room to mine.

   Later, all night long perhaps, I was planning a plot. I wont tell you now, unforchaintly your going to have to sit & watch. I paced the room one last time deep into my train of thought. then tiredness & my numb feet gave into the lust for sleep. I turned wolf & layed on my bed, hoping & praying that Okami is alright.

   Chained up, burning bleeding back, worn out & tired. Yeah this is really really nice for a tortur chamber.But hey, break a rule you pay for it. These metal cuffs on my wrists are too tight to try to escape. I suddenly hear the foot steps & some dragging sound. The guards are back, & I see they brought a little friend for me to talk to or something. They through her into the cell infrount of me. Okami? That goody goody witch is in here? How could a spoild brat like her get in here?

   "well well well. the witch that got me in here is here to visit me,hmm Okami?" I say in a teasing way. All these years I have been in here & I finily have some fun for once. "Oh. Shut it,Alicaneice. You should have been born in jail for all the things you got away with. Lucky I got you before you killed the queen just to take her place," she cooly snaps back. It is true, I tryed to over through the queen. But there was a reason behind it.

  You see this woman that you lison to now was inlove with the king himself, at least then it was when he was prince. We were friends forever, but the one day that I was going to tell him how I truely felt for him, I was stopped in my tracks. He had proposed infrount of my eyes to that royal brat, princess Alice June. I turned out heart broken & pondered on my revenge to take over her place as queen. I had the perfect idea, kill the mother in thr forest & take the baby that she was pregnat with. The whole idea was to make king Jeremy think that she was attacked by a vampire or something & I saved the child from death. turned out I got too impationt with that so I got a plan B : just go in & attack in the throne room.

   Turned out that I was attacked by Okami's father, Roxas the Brave. I got as far as the door before I was held down, chained, & dragged to this god for saken place. Every month or so I get paid for my sins by the wipe on my back, & double the pain for my birthday (yay for me). & why do I take my hate on Okami? Well if you have blackheart blood, then hey, why shouldn't you hate the family that got you here?

   I heard a growl & looked over at my "friend" acrossed from me."What are you fussing about, fuzz ball? You get into the stuff I got when I was about your age then we'll talk," I tell her. She sat by the bars & put her muzzle between a pair like a puppy in the pound."I have resently suffered the pain you have, but in a different way..." she starts her story as she is about to tell me everything that happened to her.

   The next evening it is the perfect time to do my plot, the moon is gone & to make sure no light is around, the clouds have covered the stars. Only a few candles are lit down the hallway making it very hard to see anyone unless they are right next to one. I put on my cape & some dark clothes & start my way silently down the hall & down the stairs. I was bare footed for I wanted to be as silent as possible doing this plan. I make it to the dungian door. It looked lit it required a password or some type of puzzle to be solved. Lucky for me Dad tought me the code. I put my fingers in the holes & turned them 90 degrees & pulled half of them to the left.

   The old, big wooden door opened with ease. I stepped in to the long hall of sinners & traiters. Everyone is sound asleep, even the guard. I know this is a famous & very idiotic move but hey it works! I sly my way over to him & studied him over; he was laying on the ground as a wolf with the ring with a single key in his mouth. He snored a bit & I lean in closer & timed the perfect moment & movement to grabb the key.

   I smiled at my first succes & walked down the hall looking for my beloved Okami. She layed on the ground in a ragged blanket that was old, burnt, & falling apart but still holding on to the stiches."psst! Okami!" I whispered to her. She looked over her shoulder tiredly & got up crowling to me."Ash? what are you doing in here?" she whispered back rubbing her eye, easy to tell that she was half awake right now. "I'm getting you out of here.You don't deserve to be in here," I said as I got up & unlocked the door. Of all nights, it seemed to be exstremly loud, like on a sterio on max.

   Again, Lucky me, I didn't wake or disterb anyone from their slumber. The door creeks as loud of the key. I tried to take it slow & only wide enough to get her to squeeze out. At this time, Okami should have been wide awake by now. She squeezed herself through the door & got out with me, I locked the door & tiptoed down back to the guard. He opened his mouth & in gently but quickly goes the key. "Ready to go, Okami?" I whisper to her. She nodded & we snuck outside.

   "Thanks alot for getting me out of there but you didn't need to," she said to me looking up with those silver eyes. "Hey it was nothing really, I just wanted you out of there cuz I felt bad that you were in there," I said trying to smile the blush away from my cheeks. She smiled & walked to the woods grabbing my hand."So what are we going to do now Ash?" She looked back up at me. "Well I was thinking about stepping up to my father & demand the change in the law, but that migtht be a bad idea. Another silly plan was to just run off & start our own pack," I looked down at her still having pink rosey cheeks.

   She stopped infrount of me. "Both sound nice & very promissing to me so its your choice. Choosing hard choices are part of--" suddenly before my eyes, a man grabbed her quickly around the waist & covered her mouth & ran off. "Okami!" I cried out in anger. The man disappeared in the shadows of the forest. A paper landed on the ground in frount of me were she had stood. I picked up the note:

   I have captured your presuse lady, meet me at the Angel shine at the next sun down. come alone & only armed with your fists & werewolf form.

   I have had enough of this crap of Okami being taken from me. This is going to be the end, for good.
