I remember more then anyone what my Regret is, in fact it’s what my other side of me is called, the one who is an alpha of all, by the words and teachings of the spirits despite this then how’d did, how did it happen…to me…Despite how hard you try no matter how blessed you are, it doesn’t change anything in the end your just a passing thing…your life.
I Cember born of the star of abomination, born under the bad day of the week the 13-day in our 13-day week. Under the 13 month of the world, which I know, is different from the world’s view of things. Being a greatest abomination to this world from what I know, having the life of Cember and Regret as one being but acting as one. Regret is the one said to cast the frozen lands of the north and the ones not I have south seen deeply, which
I think not to be true having him with me at all times since my mother and father created me. I was never meant to be but I am, I lost everything but I didn’t. I kept my pack but…to me I have lost everything…why did I lose everything, expect the hate or in other words the screwed up side of me. Why do I have still Regret inside, he is I.
“Cember! Cember!” A black or BC called a white wolf pup, to grab his short attention span. The pup started yipping around to his mother, he was excited to see his mother. “All right, calm down, you only see me everyday, for hours, hours and hours.” The pup tilted his head as confused. “Ah your just a cute little guy aren’t you, very gentle, and small, smaller then you should be…” The pup whimpered, the mother sighed, “And that’s why you’re mine, you’re so special, you know that don’t you?” The pup yipped several times in response, “And you still can’t talk can you?” The pup whimpered several times, the last one she could tell was an annoyed one. The mother shook her head and licked the pup few times cheering him up. The pup licked her back a few times. “Now get out here you.” The pup licked her face and mussel before running off wondering and sniffing things. “Why Cember?” The black wolf slowly spoke, “You never did anything…your just unlucky. But it’s just unfair…so unfair, your very beautiful and being called an abomination. Just isn’t fair.” Black wolf was near tears, She hated how they only she called him Cember, everyone else just abomination, as if was his name it wasn’t but being born under all the bad omen signs was called only that, ‘abomination.’ The black she wolf sighed. “You’re so small Cember, you’re five months and don’t know how to speak, you seem to know everything around you just not how to speak it, or grow, you still look eight weeks old.”
“Hey vain!” the black wolf looked behind her and just made a little laugh as a welcome the wolf. “What are talking to yourself about, it’s not smart to do that, it drives you crazy.”
The black wolf scoffed “Crazy? Crazy? Crazy?! How about only your only takes care of your own and his so called father well he isn’t really in Cember’s life, and even you call him, ‘Abomination.’ I tired of it his name is Cember! And everyone calling my pup an Abomination is something I can’t take, not once not twice but never.” Black wolf sighed, “How would you handle that?”
The gray wolf next to her sighed, “I don’t know, I guess I’d drown or smother him I guess.”
The black wolf looked at her in disbelief, “Would you really though kill your own, what you brought to the world kill your motherhood, kill your pup that you brought here?”
The gray wolf shook her head, “No I couldn’t, I couldn’t do that to my own, I couldn’t, I just couldn’t do it. I’m so sorry Vain.”
Vain sighed, “It’s ok, I’m sorry I just can’t take it anymore, I want my son to live and everything, but it’s funny, his birth was under the star of the Abomination was right over him, on the 13th day on the 13th month, on the 13th of Abomination year, and just for that he suffers.”
The wolf next to her, “But it’s under all the bad omens and the days and years and time is just too perfect to be normal.”
Vain snapped at her, “What do YOU know about it?” Vain shot out again before she could answer, “NOTHING!”
“Vain calm down, I don’t mean to evil like at all, but Abomination, has to be an abomination, he following the pattern…he still small which is not normal in any case, but his signs, are just too.”
Vain interrupted her, “Well, he is small, HE is not an Abomination and you’re no friend of mine if you think that, GO away!” The gray wolf paused and then left Vain alone. Vain looked at her pup, “Why you Cember?”
A butterfly landed on Cember noise he stared at it for a moment then it flew off, he started chasing it. Vain watched Cember with a smile, “Such a cute lad.” Vain smiled. She looked around, looking for in mind a wolf, a white one, his father, Kiltin. “Where is he?” the she-wolf asked her self. “Most likely out doing something, I know he thinks I’m over protective about Cember, not even he calls him Cember, why?” Vain felt alone, no one, even her mate; his father called him abomination. She became lost in the thought as tear rolled down her cheek.
She heard a whimper from below, she looked down, Cember was looking at her, more of the her tear, she smiled, “It’s ok mommy just has something in her in eye.” Vain used her paw to wipe the tear away, “See as good as ever.” She said with a smile to her son.
The pup whimpered and crawled next to her chest, as if trying to comfort her, Vain did her best not to cry, “It’s ok, and mommy is fine, just fine.” The pup whimpered, as if not believing it. The pup rested his head on her leg as he lay down, the white pup whimpered. Vain genteelly rested her head on his small body. With being his mother she could tell that, that Cember was tired, he seemed comforted by his mother resting her head on him, as she was.
Vain watched her Cember slowly fade into his sleep, just sleep and don’t worry about anything, I’m here. Vain went to her resting state, where she was both asleep and awake, getting like sleep but ready to bolt and do anything at less then a moments notice. But she hadn’t slept in a long time, in due time fell asleep.
A white wolf nudged Vain, Vain shot up in a panic that she fell asleep she instantly looked down, she gave a huge sigh, seeing Cember still sleeping on her leg. She finally turned her head to the white wolf, “You scared me.” Her heart was pounding in her chest.
The white wolf laughed, “Hey Vain, it’s about time you actually slept, I haven’t seen you sleep in a week, you need to sleep. I’m getting worried about you, too much of that will kill you. I don’t want to lose you.”
Vain slightly tilted her head at him, in deep in thought, as if wondering to tell him something she wanting to say for while but couldn’t say it, The white wolf Kiltin gave a sigh, “Your getting sick, it will kill you, I’m getting to the point if this goes on I’ll lose you, you’re everything to me Vain.”
Vain had some tears on her face; it surprised Kiltin, “Alright here’s the news flash, you are losing me, you’re losing me forever.” Vain turned away in more tears. “That’s the truth.”
The words stuck his soul like a spear, “What, what do you mean? Vain…what do you mean? I’ll change name it!” He asked in starting his own tears, he started breathing heavily.
She looked away, “Here’s the truth, since Cember was born, you weren’t there, I had to name him, and…never…never once you called him by his name, just ‘abomination’, just that and…I can’t take it. I can’t take it! You calling your own son that! Abomination?! How can you be his father? How can you be my mate? How? Please tell me how?” she was in tears rolling down her face, it was more like sobbing, “I don’t think love you anymore. I don’t…”
Kiltin took a breath it was all to fast for him, he took a few breaths before he could speak, “I’ll change Vain, I’ll Change, I’ll call him his name, please I…I can’t lose you…I’ll change…” He sobbed to her, “I’ll change I promise! …I promise,”
She shook her head with tears, “You can’t, I’ve heard what you say about my Cember. I can’t let you…I won’t, you can’t be with me, your not his father, Kiltin your not in my life anymore…”
“’My Cember?’ He is our Cember. Vain…” He couldn’t take it, “I’ll do anything Vain, ANYTHING!” He begged to her, “I’ll do anything…”
“The pack poisoned you against me, I can’t trust you who know you might just.” Vain couldn’t finish, she was trying to say you just might kill him, when she isn’t around, or put him in a place to be killed by some sort of way or another kill Cember is what she was saying, “I can’t trust you. I don’t love you.”
Kiltin buried face with his paws as he sat down, “Please…Vain, please…Just please…” She looked away not being able to bare the sight of him in so much pain. “Vain…” he softly continued.
She finally got herself to say it, “Your not my love anymore…go home.” Doing her best to not go to sob, “Go home…”
Kiltin slowly started to back away, “Vain, please, Vain…” He took a step forward trying to give her nudge under her neck; Vain moved her head so he couldn’t. “Vain…”
“Go home…” she said in many tears fighting her own decision, “Go home…” She fought herself to not bury herself in his fur, like when she trusted him.
“Vain, honey you’re my home...with out you I have no home, I never will without you Vain, love…” Kiltin sobbed, “Vain please…” he begged.
“Good bye…Kiltin.” She sobbed; she still loved him very much, but just couldn’t trust him anymore. Kiltin slowly started to walk away, barely having the strength to walk after what he been told by his love, ‘to leave her.’ He turned around and took one step after another it was hard and agonizing for each step to take. He felt a tug on his tail, he slowly turned around to see what was pulling on his tail, and it made him again look at Vain. He tore up his heart. He had to look down at what was tugging on his tail. It was Cember he choked tears at the sight; he was awake.
Cember had tears in his eyes he started pulling his tail towards him and his mother, “Mommy I don’t want daddy to leave.” He started pulling again towards Vain his mother. “Mommy daddy said he’d change he will, I know he will.”
He whimpered repeatedly, “Daddy don’t go, please don’t! Mommy still loves you, she just saying that! Stay!” The pup sobbed pulling away towards his mother, whimpering.
For a moment the only movement was Cember’s whimpering and the staring of Vain and Kiltin at each other, it was for what seemed forever to them. Kiltin looked down at his son, it was most likely the last time he would see him, he now regretted not being there so many times for him, and calling him abomination every time.
He got his tail free, then turned around to face his son and looked down at Cember, he bent down to get more eye level. “Daddy isn’t going away forever, just for a little while ok?” he smiled as tears fell from his eyes as he said his lied to him. Cember made a long whimper; He licked his son’s cheek, and his tears.
He took a breath; I’m so sorry Cember…so sorry. “I promise I will come back just you see,” He almost broke into tears all over again, “I’ll back don’t worry, I’ll be here for you…just you see.” He could barely say the last words knowing each word he was saying was a lie.
Cember whimpered and cried, looking down at the ground, he knew he was lying to him, Kiltin noticed, “Promise me you’ll come back please?” Cember begged to his father.
He smiled, “Good bye Cember I love you.” He quickly jolted away from him running the other way. He quickly tried to follow, “DADDY! You haven’t promised! You haven’t!” He tripped hurting his paw as he fell and hit the ground, he started to cry knowing his father wouldn’t come back, and he whimpered repeatedly “Daddy” The small pup took a breath, “Come back…” The pup sobbed.
Vain was in her own sobbing, “I’m sorry Kiltin so sorry…Cember.” She somehow managed to get herself up to walk up to her injured pup. Cember was crying and sobbing. “It ok, it’s ok.” The pup put him self in her chest. The pup cried, “Why does daddy have to leave? Why does he have to go?” he didn’t really understand it.
His mother barely could answer him, “Because he needs too. He just needs too.” They both cried, Cember cried himself to sleep, she watched him sleep, I’m sorry…She started to regret her decision to leave Kiltin, but the rumors of him getting Cember killed is something that seemed despite their love he would do at that point, she didn’t want to risk it. Kiltin was gone.
In the morning Vain had woken up first, before her son. She was still heartbroken from the night before, she looked to normally Kiltin would sleep, right next her. It was empty. She took a breath, she felt empty with out him, but somehow had still move on, somehow.
She looked down at Cember, she remembered how he begged for his father to stay but he couldn’t he didn’t understand it. She looked up to sky; it was dark gray clouds in the sky. “I’m sorry.” She felt like crying, she tried to get up to her feet it was too hard just to get up the pain was still too near; she gave up on standing up. She moved onto her side slightly moving Cember in his sleep.
She tried to focus her mind on the great memories she had with Kiltin and rather not him not being there. It made it worse; it just hurt more that way. Every memory, just made it hurt, how she remember the way he laughed, smiled, how he felt, everything about him hurt. He should be here, but he isn’t. She relived every memory as she fell asleep.
Cember woke up from his sleep, he could see his mother asleep, and he wanted to wonder so he did as he pleased not really knowing what trouble or danger was. He looked around he thought his father was lying before, so a short time was maybe just in the morning he would come back. He truly understood it he looked around. While the other side of him didn’t at all.
“Where’s day he said only a little while…right?” he asked no one, but himself, a part of him told him he was gone, the other didn’t understand it. He looked around “Which way did daddy go?” He started sniffing the ground, and wonder around not looking up but just at the ground. He found a paw print, he sniffed it, and it smelt like his father!! He shot up and looked around with a smile on his face. It slowly died out, when he couldn’t see father anywhere.
He sat down next to the paw print, laid down next to it, he lifted he paw and set in the paw print and took it out and did it again. He kept on doing this waiting. He turned to a see a gray wolf looking at him.
“Abomination what are you doing?” The gray wolf asked him, Cember could tell it was a girl wolf. The gray wolf made him feel uncomfortable.
He slightly whimpered, he didn’t like being called an abomination, it hurt when they called him that. Was that his real name? He thought Cember was, but everyone calls him abomination. “I-I…. I’m waiting.” He said playfully looking up at her.
Gray wolf looked hard at him, he lowered his ears in cowering motion. “What are you waiting for, abomination?” The gray wolf asked accusingly.
He almost started to run away but something held him in fear, he couldn’t move, “I’m waiting for daddy. Waiting for Daddy…” He staggered, as he couldn’t move in fear he wanted to run to his mother, “That’s all waiting for daddy.”
The gray wolf looked accusingly at him, “Waiting for daddy eh?” the gray wolf asked. He nodded his head quickly. “Well you daddy isn’t ever coming back because you.”
He got watery eyed, “What? Daddy said he had to go just for a little while.” Something in him already knew that, but the other didn’t. “Daddy said he was going to be there for me…”
“Well aint that cute? Daddy just lied to you, because you couldn’t understand it, when someone leaves a life, he isn’t going back, he gone, never to come back, he lied to you. He had to leave because of you, you’re the only reason Abomination, and you’re the reason of why he left forever.” The gray wolf said sternly, “And that’s the dead truth. I won’t lie to you.”
He turned away in tears, “My…my fault? Daddy left because of me…” the gray wolf nodded her head to answer him. He looked at the ground and curled up next to the paw print. He started whimper repeatedly. The gray wolf looked at him with some grief and turned, “By the way Abomination my name is Helen.” he just buried his head in his paws making him more like a ball.
He twitched his hear as it started to rain, he shrived at the first drop of rain it was ice-cold rain he could tell as hit his right ear. He kept on shivering as each drop fell on him. The thought lingered in his mind; he was the reason of why his dad left…forever. Cember felt numb but felt so cold.
Vain awoke when it came to a downpour she panicked and nearly screamed, when Cember wasn’t next to her. She got to feet the fastest she had in her life, “Cember! Cember!” She cried out, she ran to a spot and looked franticly where could he be?! She thought to herself. The heavy ice-cold rain diminished her sense of smell.
She dreaded, “The rain is freezing he could…” She looked franticly around, she scanned the area around him, “Cember…Cember…Please…” she looked harder and faster constantly turning looking ever so looking. She finally could see Cember curled up in a ball next to a small mud puddle.
“Cember!!” she cried out as she ran up to him, she nuzzled him, and she stopped feeling that he was shriving heavily. “Cember, are you ok?” She asked very kindly, she stood over him to block as much rain as she could.
He slowly opened his eyes; he was so cold, he whimpered, at the cold. Cember glanced over at the mud puddle, which was his father’s paw print, he winched at the sight, and it was gone. He looked away from it, he finally noticed his mother. “Mommy?”
Vain spoke softly she could tell that he was hurt and freezing, “Yes, Cember?” she wondered about what his question was; he normally didn’t talk at all.
He paused, and whimpered, “I’m I the reason daddy left? They say it was me, I’m I?” He asked sadly shivering madly.
Vain shook her head, “No…not at all, your not the reason don’t think that they’re wrong Cember.”
She noticed his ears go even lower then they were, “Mommy?” He paused for a moment, “We do you call me Cember? Everyone calls me abomination…why do they call me that? Isn’t that my name?”
“NO!!! " Vain shouted out loudly; Cember stumbled away from her frightened. She paused, she noticed he crawling away from her. “Cember…” he hurried faster to a rock and hid behind it, she felt terrible how could she have done that, shout so suddenly, I must have terrified him.
She slowly walked to him it seemed very quiet only soft pounding of the rain was the only noise, “Cember, I’m…I’m sorry.” She noticed him sink down trying to evade being seen. She paused, “Cember, I’m sorry Cem.” She noticed he was still shivering terribly. “Cember its ok Cember. It’s me.” She felt terrible, to him, his world yelled at him.
She sighed, and shook her head, and walked over to him and picked him up by the scruff. He whimpered as she did so. She then hurried to her den under a tree; the tree was old but still worked.
She set him down softly barely making any noise, “Cember I’m sorry I didn’t mean to yell I just was…over the edge.” Cember was cold; Vain acted as mother and licked Cember clean and dried. The den was fairly large; Kiltin had made most of it. Which made and worked so hard for her, knowing he won’t be there, when she would rest made her depressed.
Cember coughed, a few times, she sighed he most likely got sick from the rain. She felt like it was her fault how could she have slept like that, stayed asleep till it was downpour? Cember also wondered a bit from what she could tell; another wolf in the pack may have called him abomination. She didn’t really mean to isolate Cember but needed to till he could fend for himself.
Cember got past his fear and curled up next to his mother she was warm he was cold. Vain did her best to keep her son warm. After a time she found Cember fell asleep, she touched his nose with her own, Cember was warmer he was sick now perhaps in the morning he’d be better. She thought to herself hoping she was right.
She rested, but it hurt too, just even to rest; she was slightly cold, and to rest as well. She felt a lump in her throat, Kiltin was always warm, she would sleep next to him all the time, even on the hot days, she remember how much she loved his warmth, it was always pleasing, and it was gone now, why did she have to say goodbye it wasn’t fair, she didn’t know how to move on.
Writters commentary, about the 13 thingy yeah I wanted to be more creator like and make a new date system and it's really hard getting the days and mounths to work out and getting new names for like September rename it and that why? CAUSE I CAN! AND slightly BORED! AH HA! YAH!
Why did I have the fricken story like this sad story about a character fun better makes it interesting if you do it right, which I fail about 99 of of 100% WTF the names Cember, Kiltin, Vain, Helen well that's a normal name.. Cember because it's not a real name till now I made it yeah hopefully.... Kiltin well if I was thinking of names when celtic came into my mind after that celtic knights in rome went into my brain so NAME I thought of a name Kiltin ya, ya this is how Arcy thinks of odd names or goes looking for them. Vain, well I was looking at my arm and thought the veins and then thought of a quote I heard "you fight in Vain!" I think it was some vid game I used to have well Vain came up and uh the character, and devotion and over protective somewhat, I like the chacater Vain, strong minded somewhat xD Cember the intro thing was his point of view later so yeah. Sorry don't really have much to say oddly I kind of based this off of Land before time with the mud puddle when little foot finds that foot print and T-rex smashes his treestar so that's where I got the mud puddle I idea from.
Why do I have it rain, RAIN IS COOL! Thanks for time, if it was a wast all the betta! lol That's not my intent well I hope it was enjoyable. I plan to continue this sometime.
