Part 2

After that one night, Sabira felt happier than before.  She really liked Baily now, but she still longed for a wolf's life.

The next night, Sabira crept out of the barn and into the woods.  She was four feet away from the barn when paw steps sounded.  Sabira's ears shot up and she scanned the woods cautiously.  "Hmmm...", she said, curling her lip.

Suddenly, a shadow appeared and then another.  Soon there were six shadows surrounding poor Sabira.  Sabira closed her eyes and pulled back her ears.  But to her surprise, the shadows turned out to be Sabira's teammates from her sled.  Baily was first to speak.

"What are you doing out here?!",  demanded Baily.

  "I....I"...., she stammered.

"Tell me now or you're hawk food!", shouted Baily.  " Okay, okay, I get it.", mumbled Sabira.  Her teammates growled at her and she growled back.  "Speak now!", barked Baily.

Sabira sighed and laid down.  "You win.", she said.  "Beat me up."   Baily gasped and thought back.  "Okay.", he said, thinking of the other night.  "So?", said Sabira.  "Okay.", Baily repeated.  Baily then gritted his teeth, then gently clutched Sabira's neck.  Sabira twitched and scraped the snow.  "Bite harder!", shouted Sabira.  Baily couldn't grip harder.  He thought it would be wrong.  "I'll rip you!", shouted Sabira.

Baily squinted, then bit harder.  Sabira yowled in pain at the feel of his sharp teeth.  Sabira gasped for air and then bit Baily!  "Help!", cried Baily.  Baily stumbled making Sabira fall into the snow.  Sabira got up just as Baily sprinted straight at her!  Baily landed on Sabira and she fell back down.

Baily got up and shook the snow from his fur and stared at Sabira.  Sabira flicked her tail and stared at Baily.  She then got up and stroked Baily with her nose.  "Sabira you can be a wolf if you want.", said Baily.  Sabira backed up and gasped slightly.

 "You can go.", said Baily.

"How did you know"? asked Sabira.

"I knew, since you didn't like me, you'd want a different life."  Sabira smiled and trotted away.  Baily looked at his teammates and barked.

"I miss Sabira.", wailed Vixi, a young red Husky.  "I know, Vixi, I know."

The next day Baily slept in .  "You miss Sabira?", asked Vixi.  "Yes, I do.", said Baily.  "I'm sorry.", whisperd Vixi.  "But I'm sure she's having a great time".  "Me too.", said Baily. "Me too".

A moment later, Vixi trotted back into the barn with a bone in her mouth.  "What do you want?" asked a tired Baily.  "Just take this." said Vixi dropping the bone.  Baily refused to eat it.  Sudenly Abby a young spotted malumute, walked in followed by Sabira.

"Sabira?" said Baily.  Sabira smiled then licked Baily.
