Winter comes later to the forests of Norhern Alaska. The Snow Geese soar from the south. Bears, Mean and Furious, emerge to a world of snow. Deer search for tender roots. But of course, The world is not like that. This is my story.

 In the loud, cold, town of Nome, Kodi and Dusty have two,small,pups named Buncher and me, Bree. I am smaller than my brother,Buncher. My mom, Dusty, thinks I am a runt. My dad on the other hand, thinks I am just fine seeing he was the runt of his family.

December 1,2007

Mama usually was the one going out to hunt. Dad usually just took care of me and Buncher. I could tell he loves me. Today, Daddy's friend,Kirby,came over for dinner. I did not know Kirby was such a pig! He ate his and my kibble! My stomach is now growling a lot.

Mom and Dad took me to their job. They are sled dogs! I got to try on their pretty ropes and knots. The ropes were so heavy, I fell down on my face. Life is good right now. I have food, a good family, and winter is starting!

I am pooped. Mom and Dad made me run with them and the sled. I am just relaxing on the couch watching Hannah Montana. Buncher is playing with his Underdog figurines. I think mom and dad are home! I will write to you later!

Today my mama took me to a dog park. All the dogs were looking at me weird. I did not like it. Mama on the other hand, played with a tennis ball with her friend, Dixie. Dixie's voice sounded weird. I did not like it to much. But I did like playing with that tennis ball! It was fun when I flew up in the air and caught it. Now it is time to go home. I will write later.

I am bored. Hannah Montana is not on today. It is only a marathon of Thats So Raven. I do not like that Raven girl so much. She kind of freaks me out. Buncher is watching his toe nails grow which I think is stupider than watching Thats So Raven. Anyways, Dad will be back soon. Now the only thing that me and Buncher get to do is sit and wait.

Today rocks! My family and I are going on a family vacation! We are going to the beach for a week. Buncher is so excited he is bouncing off the walls which is making me even more excited. We are leaving now. Bye for now!

How dumb of us. It is winter. The water is frozen solid. But, the ice is so much fun to slide on! Me and Buncher are bounching around slipping on the ice. It is fun, and cold. Mama says I have to spend some "Family time". I will write you later. Bye!

Today we are heading home. It is a cold way back seeing it is a blizzard outside! Buncher is crying right now. He lost his Underdog figurine at the beach. Mama says he will get a new one for Christmas,but what are the posibillities of that?! Anyways, I am going to take a nap. Bye for now. P.S 14 days till Christmas!

A normal day in the Kodi household. Me and Buncher are watching Hannah Montana. I am so bored. I am going to do a crossword puzzle I think. Hmm. Write to you later.

Today me and Buncher are going to the beach again. Mama and Dada had to practice for the team. I think they were having fun though. Kirby and Ralph joined us. Kirby splashed me. It was so cold! Mama licked me off though.

Today I got to go in the Heat Room! It was so warm! Buncher left with his friend so I got to stay with mama and dada.Mama snuggled me so I got even warmer. Dad, Mom, Kirby, Ralph, and Grandpa Balto got in a conflict. I hated to see conflicts so I fell asleep.

I woke up today and Mom and dad weren't there. I was too tired to look around but I was scared. I looked around the town but they weren't there. I finally checked the Beach. Mom and Dad were talking. "I was thinking of having another pup", said Dada. I hated to hear dad say those words. "I think two is good for now", Said Mama. I loved mama's words. She was always right. Mama nuzzled Dada and walked into the heat room looking for me. I ran into the back door of the heat room and got in my dog bed. Mama fell asleep in my bed with me.

Today, Me and mom have to go get Buncher at his friend's house. We are going by sled. I get to sit in the sled as mom leads. We are almost there. Mama says she can hear him crying. Well, I will write later. I got to go, bye!
