“You are here because everyone is worried about you. Ever since your last boyfriend, you’ve bin acting more irritable.”, Jenna sighed. “I wanted you too know what relationships are about, just give it a chance. Please??” Jenna begged.

“Ok, ok... I’ll give you a chance..” Karma said with a long sigh.

  “Thank you, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!” Jenna said cheerfully. And the talk continued... For hours! When it finally ended, Jenna walked Karma too Kodi’s house to have some lunch.

  “Hey Karma! Hey mom.” Kodi shouted happily, as he rushed off of the porch, too greet them.

   “Hi Kodi. Umm. I can’t make it for lunch. I have too... Meet my girl.... Somewhere..” Jenna stuttered.

   “Ok mom. I guess I’ll see you later, then.” Kodi replied.

   “See you later, Jenna?” Karma said. Karma and Kodi walked on the porch and ate some lunch.

   “So, how was your ‘Talk’ with mom?” Kodi asked playfully.

   “Creepy as hell...” Karma said with a chuckle.

   “What was she saying?” Kodi asked with a giggle.

   “Nothing!! She was saying, “Oh you’ll find the right someone soon. And maybe someone you knew for a long time, will come out too you” and blah!” Karma sarcastically said.

   “Well... Don’t you think it was at least informative?” Kodi said playfully nipping at Karma’s ear.

    “Nah, it was just words.” Karma said, nipping at Kodi’s feet.

     “Hey! Cut that out!!” Kodi said laughing.

     “Not a chance!” Karma growled playfully. The small fight turned into a wrestling match.

     “Your going down!” Karma challenged.

     “Not before you do!!”, he replied. Karma stopped when he was over her. She felt his breath on her nose. It got heavier, and his head came closer to hers. Once she felt the tip of his nose on her nose. She turned her head.

   “I think I have to go....” Karma said.

   “Umm..Do you want me to walk you home?” Kodi offered quietly.

   “Sure..” She replied. Karma got very uncomfortable. She finally started too think.. “What if Kodi loved me??” she thought, “What if Jenna was trying too tell me something?”

   “Hey! Karma, Kodi!” A voiced yelled behind them.

   “Dusty!” Kodi yelled as he nudged me to move faster.

   “What are you two doing?”, Dusty said in a strange, some-what sarcastic tone.

   “I was just walking Karma home..” Kodi replied talking fast and acting like he committed a crime.

   “Actually I wanted to go to Dixie’s house.” Karma said.

   “Funny, I’m going there now, I guess I can take it from here, Kodi.” Dusty said.

   “Ok, I guess I’ll see you later, Karma?” Kodi said quietly.

   “Oh, I’m sure you’ll see her again!” Dusty said. Then Dusty pushed  Karma in another direction.

   “What the hell was that all about, Dusty?” Karma snapped, “I’m blind not deaf!”.

   “Oh I’m sure you know..” Dusty said playfully.

   “What?”

  “Oh, like you don’t know. I know about you and Kodi, everyone knows about you and Kodi.” Dusty stated.

   “Ok, for one, were not together. Two, were just friends. Nothing more. If we were, I would tell you anyway...” Karma said.

   “Oh please I’m your best friend.” Dusty said.

   “Yea....”

   “So off the record do you like him?” Dusty whispered.

   “As a friend, and that’s it. Just a friend.” Karma said.

   “Well not what everyone else thinks.”, Dusty said with a smirk.

  “And what does everyone think??” Karma demanded.

  “That your...You know!!” Dusty said playfully.

  “Gross! That’s disturbing.” Karma yelped.

  “Well, you two hang out a lot. And you seem quiet when your around us with him...” Dusty explained.

  “That’s not my fault, I know what you and everyone think. And it is wrong. All wrong.”

  “Fine. Now, cheer up. We are here.” Dusty said.

  “There you girls are! We were waiting for you!”, Sylvie said.

  “For what?” Karma and Dusty said.

  “Well we have juicy gossip for you!” Dixie said in a hyper mood.

  “More important matters!”, Karma interrupted, “I need one of you too find out if Kodi likes me!”.

  “Finally coming to your senses dear?” Sylvie said.

  “I’m just curious, that’s all.”

  “Well we don’t need to worry about that.”, Dixie said.

  “Explain!” Karma demanded.

  “Oh honey do I have to spell everything for you? He’s in LOVE with you!”, Dixie explained. Karma sat silent. She didn’t want to believe it.

   “Your joking! Right? He really can’t be in LOVE...can he?” she cried.

    “Karma! Why are you so upset about this?” Dusty said in a worried tone, “I envy you. Your so lucky that someone loves you!”

    “No..” Karma quietly cried, “This isn’t true..”.

    “But it is, and you know what? You can’t change it.” Sylvie explained. Suddenly Karma burst through the door. But she was in a dangerous state. She’s blind and deeply upset. So when it was quiet, she crossed the road, and she sniffed her way home.

Chapter 2

  It’s bin two days since Karma left her home. Everyone got worried. Balto finally decided to get her out.

  “Hey, Karma? Come on get out, already!” he said tugging at her tail.

  “Balto, just leave..” she said sighing.

  “Not gonna do it.” He said.

  “Your wasting your time...”she replied.

  “Oh well. I can’t get you out by talking to you? I guess we’ll do it the hard way.” Balto said as he grabbed the pillow she was under and pulled it.

  “Balto! Stop!” she yelled. Then she got up.

  “See? That wasn’t too bad. Now, you must be extremely hungry.” He said guiding her to Jenna’s house.

  “Oh Karma!! Your ok!!” Kodi came to greet. But Karma shifted her body and he missed. He stayed silent. And then left. Jenna and Balto exchanged worried looks.

  “Well...You must be hungry...Here! Have some food.” Jenna smiled and gave the ‘talk to me in the other room with me NOW’ look to Balto, and so, they went to another room.

  “Balto do you have any idea what is going on?!!?” Jenna quietly snapped.

  “I don’t know..”, he replied.

  “I’ll talk too her.” Jenna said.

  “You do that!”, he sighed. As soon as the talk was over Jenna hurried over to discover that Karma ate all her food quickly.

  “Hey.. Now you know you can tell me anything right?” Jenna said sitting down comfortably.

  “Yea..” Karma sighed.

  “Will you tell me what’s wrong?” Jenna pleaded.

  “Fine! But it’s secret..”

  “Ok!”

  “Everyone thinks I’m with Kodi..” Karma said quietly.

  “I know. But what’s the secret part?” Jenna replied acting unsurprised, “Is it true!?!” she screamed.

  “NO! I mean, I don’t know...”

  “Well...How do YOU feel about him?”

  “I don’t know, but it worries me...”

  “What worries you?”, Jenna asked quietly.

  “ Umm...Isn’t that kind of personal?”

  “Well, I won’t make you say it, but I have an idea.”

  “Oh really now? Like what?”, Karma sarcastically said.

  “You are afraid. Afraid that you’ll get hurt. Which is ok.”

  “I THINK THAT!!!.....Your right..”, Karma admitted shamefaced.

  “Aww...Don’t feel bad. Your last mate was a jerk. Kind of like Steele.”, Jenna said in a comforting tone. Karma felt her way to a pillow and lazed.

  “I think that I should avoid him.”, Karma snickered under her breath. Jenna overheard Karma’s snickering.

  “No, you should talk too him. I know for a fact that, Kodi cares about you, and if you keep avoiding him, he’ll be heartbroken, you don’t want that. Do you?”, Jenna said as she walked towards Karma.

  “I’ll be right back. Ok? Just stay put.” Jenna said walking into another room to find Balto right around the corner.

  “Jenna! You startled me!”, Balto gasped.

  “Balto, do me a favor, and find Kodi and bring him here as fast as you can!”, Jenna pleaded. Balto nodded and left. Jenna walked too Karma.

  “Ok I’m back.” Jenna said bubbly. Karma gave her a funny look. Moments of silence later, Balto came rushing through the door with Kodi.Jenna jumped up and pushed Kodi in more and dragged Balto out of the room and closed the door with her tail.

  “What a set up....”, Kodi sighed.

  “Kodi? Oh boy..”, Karma complained.

  “Why are you acting so strange? Your acting like your trying too avoid me!”, Kodi said, feeling very upset.

  “What are you talking about?”, Karma denied.

  “You know exactly what I’m talking about...You hid in your home for two days!!”, Kodi sounded like he was going to cry.

  “I-I am sorry I’m just..Scared..And embarrassed.”, Karma hid her face in the pillow. Kodi walked and sat next too her.

  “I know. I am too. But you know I would never do any thing too hurt you. I’m just..”, Kodi stopped. He laid down on the pillow next too Karma, and put his head on her paws. Then she laid her head on his. Karma was Exhausted. So was Kodi. They were there for an hour and they were fast asleep. Suddenly, bursting through the door, was Dixie, Dusty, Sylvie, and a few other dogs. Karma and Kodi didn’t wake up.

  “Oh my god..”, everyone gasped. They walked around the two sleeping dogs and giggled.

  “Hey I have an idea..”, one of the dogs started to whisper.

Chapter 3

   A few hours later, Karma woke up.

“OH MY GOD!!”, Karma screamed. Kodi woke up.

“What, what!?! OH MY GOD!!!”, he screamed too. They were placed in a very awkward position. Kodi was placed on top of Karma while they were sleeping. Frantically rolled off of Karma and started hyperventilating nervously too. 

 “Kodi! Calm down before you have a heart attack!”, Karma said starting to hyperventilate. Kodi and Karma walked out into the room. Jenna and Balto looked furious, as they slid a newspaper toward them.

  “Look at this! While you two were sleeping, Dixie, Dusty, and Sylvie, and others came in a placed you two in this position. And they had people come in and take millions of pictures!”, Jenna explained, “Kodi, take Karma too your boy’s house, they want Karma too see the vet.”, Balto said, “Don’t you guys worry, Jenna and I will set the story straight.”

  When Kodi and Karma arrived, they took Karma too the vet right away. The vet said there was no signs or evidence that Kodi and Karma did anything. And the news got out. The relieved family came home. The next day the paper arrived. It said, “Sorry guys.” And it had a picture of All the dogs, who placed Kodi and Karma in the position, looking shamefaced and sorry. Below was an article about what they did.

  Karma was relieved and so was Kodi. Early in the morning, Kodi woke up and ran too Dusty’s house. There he found Dusty and Ralph together. Kodi stood at the doorway in shock. Dusty pushed Ralph away, “Kodi its not what it looks like!”, she cried, running to him. Kodi turned around and ran outside on her porch. “Kodi I-I am sorry! I...”

“What are you sorry about? I barged in. And I didn’t know you too were together. That’s good.”, he said cheerfully.

 “But I don’t like him...I like you...”, she flirted as she came closer and closer.

 “Dusty! What the hell are you doing?!? You know I like  Karma!!”, he snapped. Dusty gave an angry look.

  “You don’t want her, she blind and she is...”

  “Sweet, and loving, and your best friend!”, Kodi finished her sentence, “Besides, being blind isn’t a problem, nor a reason to not like her.” Dusty turned her head. She felt bad that she turned against her best friend.

 “I came over here too ask you why did you put us in that problem yesterday. But now I know, you wanted us apart. And everyone knows it.”

“I-I am sorry..” , Dusty cried.

“I have to go..”, Kodi quietly trotted away not know if he should tell someone or not. Kodi ran to Balto’s house.

  “Hey son. Did you need anything? You look troubled.”, Balto said, greeting Kodi.

   “Dad, I’m going to tell you something but promise you won’t tell anyone, especially Karma.” Balto’s smile faded, and he stood up and walked closer.

   “I can tell this is serious”, Balto said solemnly, “Ok, I won’t tell a soul.”, he promised. Kodi sat down and started to explain.

    “Dad, I went by to ask something to Dusty, and I saw her and Ralph Then she told me she liked me And she did that horrible thing to us yesterday to split us apart.” ,Kodi explained.

    “Well Maybe you should tell Jenna. I’m not sure”, Balto said uneasily.

    “Sure dad.”, Kodi said unsatisfied. Kodi left in a heartbeat, and didn’t waste a second.

    “OW!!”, Someone yelped. It sounded like Karma! Kodi dashed toward a alley, there, he found a wolf hurting Karma!

    “You! Leave her alone!!”, Kodi Snapped.

     “Kodi!! Help! He’s hurting me!!”, Karma weakly cried. Karma was deeply hurt. She was bleeding badly. The wolf was about too kill her, until Kodi jumped on the wolf knocking him off her. Kodi bit the wolf as hard as he could. The wolf backed off, and ran away. Karma laid there in the snow, she was still.

     “Karma! Wake up!! Please Karma! Please...”, Kodi started crying. Suddenly, Jenna and her owners came by, Jenna spotted a bloody track of wolf paw prints and fallowed them to Kodi and Karma.

     “Kodi! Are you..”, Jenna stuttered at the sight of Karma, then she yelped several times as loud as she could. Then several people rushed by.

      “Oh my god...”, somebody said at the sight of Karma. A group of people quickly rushed Karma to the vet.

Chapter 4

  At the vet, Karma’s wounds were serious, and she could of died. But luckily she got too the vet on time. She was going too go home, but since she wasn’t owned Kodi’s owners took her in.

Even though the vets work was done, he was very curious about Karma’s breed. So, he had a big book of dog breeds. He went through all the breeds but none matched. He got worried. He hoped that she was a mix, but something wasn’t right about that. Then the vet got out his book of wild dogs, and wolves. Then as he looked at a certain breed it seemed to match.

  The vets new discovery led too a big choice. Then the vet came too the owner’s house and wanted to talk to the Parents privately. Kodi was with Karma in another room. “I wanted too a talk too you about your new dog Karma. I was curious about her breed and it seems she isn’t a domestic dog, she’s a Ethiopian wolf.”, the vet explained, “This isn’t an issue, and she’s perfectly healthy, but just how she got here, is a mystery.” Kodi’s owners were worried. As the vet was about too leave he said, “Don’t worry, I bet she thinks she’s a dog. You don’t have to worry about her temperament. Just live your life normally, and make sure she doesn’t bump into anything.” The last words of what the vet said, made the Owner’s not worry. Instead, they felt lucky.

  The next morning Kodi woke up unusually early. He walked out too the living room, his boy’s parents where talking about wolves. “So what do you think about Karma, an Ethiopian Wolf? Sounds fancy!”, One of them said.

   “Yea, I wonder what her and Kodi’s pups will look like..” the other one replied. Kodi stood still. He couldn’t believe his ears. Karma, a wolf. Moments later, Kodi ran out the door, and ran too Jenna’s house.

   “Mom! Mom are you home?”, Kodi called.

   “Yes dear. Is everything alright?”, Jenna yawned.

   “Karma is a wolf!”, Kodi blurted out.

   “A what?”, Jenna gasped.

   “An Ethiopian Wolf!”, Kodi said.

   “I don’t believe it...”, Jenna quietly said, “Does she know?”

   “No, and she won’t. We have to keep her from finding out.”

   “Ok, fine. I will tell your dad though.”

   “What are we going to do?”, Kodi stressed.

   “Nothing. Just treat her normally.”

   “Yea..”

Kodi has bin off for a few days, from his mail job. The next day he’ll be off too work again. Hopefully it will give him time too think.
