The land seemed endless, and everything was in full bloom. a flock of white birds flew in a perfect V in the sky, which was purely blue, and few vague, white, fluffy clouds floating by the horrison. Magnificantly white Lunar Flowers were scattered in small, but good sized clumps; the dew of a misty morning on the snow~white pedals.
A sparkling blue lake streching up to the horrison, full and plentiful with beautiful creatures like Dragon Flies, Fish, and small tadpoles. It's crystal~clear abyss let millions of small, smooth pebbles show their array of cool greys warm greys, and shades of brown. Inside the reeds, small feild mice bask in their nests, letting the sun soak into their fur, and warm their paws.
The small breeze lets the Aspen and Ponderosa tree branches sway with a gentle rustle, and the lake waves move the pebbles ever-so-softly, the clicking noise is berely audible. The bright yellow song birds hiding in the Aspens create a comforting, soft song in rhythm to the low, vibrating sounds of the waves.
On one of the lush, grassy hills, a white, majestic wolf slowly trotted up. The soft breeze ruffled his thick fur, but the slight chill never reached his skin. His ears erect, and tail flowing out behind him; his lifted his nose into the air and breathed in the soft, comforting sent of Lunar Flowers.
His golden eyes fallowed the white brids to the feild in whitch they landed. The wolf looked to the lake, and breathed deeply. The light had some soft glow to it, and the soft breeze made it feel all the better.
His white fur tingled, and his massive head turned to look behind him. He scanned the slope and the other hills. A certin sent he had known before had washed over him. His eyes narrowed in a desperate last seach for the source of the smell. When he could not find it, the white wolf turned his head back to the lake.
Suddenly, the wolf's tail and fur stood on end. His fangs shown, and his eyes were wide. There in front of the white wolf was a grey, lean, scarred wolf stood in front of him.
The grey wolf's eyes widened, one of them being dulled and sightless, and it's hackles rose. Large, white fangs revealed themselves with a fearsom snarl.
Quickly it was ended as the white wolf came to his senses, and stopped. His tail still heald with athourity, he narrowed his eyes and sniffed the nose of the grey wolf. The grey wolf narrowed it's eyes, and kept a grimmes on its face.
Suddenly the white wolf tilted his head, and let his tail wag one slow wag. His eyes regained the peaceful, freindly glow, and his fur quickly softened and ruffled in the breeze.
The grey wolf stood motionless, before slowly but steadily grew with exitment. The grey wolf was biggining to remember the white wolf. The wolf's tail started to wag estaticly and it's ears went back in an submitting fashon.
The white wolf only stared and let out a long, low woof. He wasn't as exited as the grey wolf, but he was glad to find one of his "Companions".
The grey wolf's tail was not as floofie as most, and it's patterns let it be told apart from any other. The white wolf could tell this one out of anywhere due to it's musky sent.
But then again, all of his companions had a particular sent to them. So, no matter the wolf that had approched him with such secritivity and sighlence, he could pin~point which wolf it belonged to.
But after being in this "Paradice" so long, and for so long alone, he had forgotten all of the sents and freigrences of the wolves that had fallowed him in the great search for Paradice.
Like Mew, the small lynx female that he had met, he was quickly forgetting every one, and possably everything, from the earthly world. And all he could remember was himself, and anything outside that, was begining to fade. And it was fading fast.
The white wolf stared back at the grey wolf. It seemed that it hadent forgotten everything. Maby it had been with other wolves to help it remember? No. That couldn't be it.
The grey wolf's tail slowwed and it's ears cocked forward, and it's hackles rose ever-so-slightly. It's massive paws gripped tha ground as if it would be torn off any moment.
It's lean body was still breathing hard, and it's ribs, even with all the easy food, expanded and deflaited quickly. The wolf's fangs barely shown, just the tips gleamed in the sun, and it's head stuck slightly out as it gave one last just-for-sure sniff.
The grey wolf's body was still trembeling with an unbeleivable energy, but it remained still. Quickly, after inhailing the sent once more it's dark gold eyes widened and suddenly it yelped:
"Kiba!"
As the white wolf cocked his ears to call the name to the grey wolf, a howl shot through the air. The grey wolf's ears pricked, and it dashed off the hill to meet the wolf that sent it. it's tail flowing, the white wolf, Kiba, narrowed his eyes and cursed: Dammit! I missed her!
As the grey wolf dashed down the slope and into the thick wood that edged the feild, the same howl broke through the land. The grey wolf sent out a breathy, short howl that said "Hold up! I'm comming." The grey wolf long legs and deep chest were a great advantage for her explisett agilaty.
She whipped around the collassol Blue Spruce and ponderosa trunks and blazzed past some grazzing white tailed deer. Her speed startled the deer, and, with they're large side-ward ears, stared at the grey wolf as she sprinted past them.
The grey wolf was so intuned to where she was going, a sudden miss-dodge of a massive oak, turned the poor wolf into a hurting heap. Peices of bark were sprinkled over the wolf's grey fur.
Her muzzle wrinckled as she growled to herself. How could she miss it? Her feet were splayyed and tangled with the oak roots, and on top of her nose, a massive chunk of tree balenced unevenly on her snarling nose.
She remembered her task, and got up, shaking the bark from her grey fur. she looked up from the ground and stopped in mid-step to see a blackish wolf infront of her. Her eyes widened and she felt her ace boil with embarrassment.
Quickly she regained herself and struck an aggressive pose, and growled deep. The black wolf growled as it's tail rose. The grey wolf quickly set up her fight sene, and realized this wolf was bigger than her, and would for sure beat and possably kill her.
Much to the black wolf's favor, she ran.
As she slowwed down, she growled to herself. Coward! She growled, and plodded on. As she was nearing the keeper of the howl that set her off, she slowed down to think.
He was bigger than me...And that blue eye...it was so cold...where did I see him before...
Her consounce told her who the dark wolf was, but her memory, like all of the wolves who made it to paradice, had dulled. She shook her head, letting her ears flap like a pups, and walked on.
Soon she walked into a clearing in the center of the thick wood land. She sniffed the ground and kept her eyes up. On the leaf and pine needle coverd ground, she settled herself underneith a boulder.
Waiting, the grey wolf kept her head low and her nose covered by her tail. Her ears were pricked to insure she could hear the wolf she was to meet. She lifted her head when she heard a rustle in the leaf litter, and smelled the arouma of an other wolf.
She heaved herself to a sit, then expelled a quick breth, and got to all four feet. She pressed her ears forward and glanced the clearing. She quietly walked out from underneith the boulder, and sniffed for the wolf.
Compleatly unaware of the wolf on the bolder, she turned back to wait some more. The other wolf, it's fur being of a deep terra cotta, leaped out onto the grey wolf.
The grey wolf's eyes widened in suprise but quickly she turned to bite down on the other wolf's leg. Her mind and heart raced and her heart thuded as she and the terra cotta wolf engaged in a tustle.
Once the grey wolf had the terra cotta wolf pinned beneith her paws, she realised this wolf was not to be fought. Her mind grew gloggy and she forced herself to remember who this was.
The terra cotta wolf reached up with it's large head and licked the grey on the nose. It seemed to remember the grey wolf, and it was over joyed to see her. It's tail thhumped on the ground in an estadic wag, and it whimpered:
"Hiya, Harper. Remember me?"
She got of Caden and wached him get up. Harper eyed Caden and flattened one ear. "I haven't grown a bit! You're still bigger than me." She whimpered. Caden looked at her and sized her up. "I guess not." He always had his ears forward and alert. But one one was twiching when a sound was made. His right ear remained still, only in motion to express himself.
When Caden was younger, a strange wolf had beat the right side of his head to try and prove his domanance. There for, his right ear remaind still, and did not pick up sounds ever again.
Harper sat and titled her head. She whimpered. Caden was still in the antitial shock of her attack, stood about two yards away, and wached. He shook his head, and leaned out to her. "What?" He sniffed her nose.
Harper looked away. "I found Kiba." Caden, not have traveled with her to Paradice, didn't know who the hell Kiba was. He pulled his head back and stared at her more. "Who would 'Kiba' be?" He normaly knew everything that Harper had on her whiskers, but seince he had died, he didn't know what went on in her life after her second year.
Harper jumped up and started to run in the direction that she found the magnificant white wolf.
"Fallow me..."
