Summery of Part 1: Steele called the sled dogs of Nome together and told them Balto was planning to kill them all by joining with a wolf pack. The dogs didn't believe him until Balto's son Kodi confirmed Steele's acusations. Meanwhile, Star was running to tell Balto of Steele's plan when he was attacked by a mysteriouse figure.
And now, Balto vs. Nome part 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Balto? Balto are you here?" Balto's eyes snapped open as he heard his mate. Jenna, calling his name. He yawned, stretched then walked over to the side of the abandoned boat that he lived in on the beach. Sure enough, a red and white husky stood there smiling up at him.
"Jenna." He said before running down to see her.
"Where's Boris?" Jenna asked, licking Balto's ear affectionatly.
"He went out with Stella yesterday. I think Stella is trying to get him to fly." Balto answered.
"And Muk and Luk?"
"They went with Boris. I don't think he liked that though." Balto and Jenna laughed and walked down the beach together.
"Have you heard from Alue lately?" Balto asked, refering to his daughter who had joined a wolf pack. Jenna sadly shook her head. Suddenly, Balto heard a whimpering noise.
"Jenna do you hear that?" He stopped and lifted his head, trying to hear the sound better.
"Yes i do! It sounds like a dog in pain!" Jenna gasped and together, they both ran back to the abandoned boat.
Limping toward the boat was a small dog. He didn't seem to be injured badly, but his leg was bleeding and one of his ears had a large nik in it.
"Star!" Jenna gasped in horror and ran over to him, helping him walk. Balto ran inside the boat and brought out a blanket which Star collapsed on.
"Balto..." Star began.
"Who did this to you?" Balto growled.
"I don't know." Star answered. " I came to warn you and out of no where a huge dog attacked me! I managed to get away but only by hiding behind some house that the dog lost my scent. Then i came here."
"Warn me? Warn me of what?" Balto asked.
"Steele." Star shivered.
"What's Steele up to now?" Jenna's eyes got wide as she asked.
"He turned the sled dogs against you Balto. He told them you were planning to kill them all by joining forces with a wolf pack!" Star said.
"And they believed him?" Balto gasped.
"At first they didn't. But then Kodi came and......and he........he said that you were going to kill us all!" Star shivered as he remembered Kodi's betrayel.
"Kodi said that?" Jenna gasped, taking a step back. "Our own son?" Balto remained silent, though it felt like a thorn had just pierced his heart. His own son!
"Balto," Star said again. "Balto you must get out of here!"
"No. Not until i talk to Kodi." Balto said.
"But the sled dogs are coming. They gave Steele their answer this morning that they would help him drive you out! I think Steele might even be planning to kill you! Please! You must get out of here! I'll stay here and see if i can try to put some sense into them!" Star said quickly.
"Balto, what are we going to do?" Jenna asked fearfully.
"Your going to stay here Jenna." Balto said.
"No i'm not! I coming with you!" Jenna said.
"No. Jenna, i want you by my side every minute of the day, but right now it is safer to be here in Nome with Rosie and Star than out in the wild. I will go, but i'll be back. I promise." Balto's eyes filled with tears, but he blinked them away.
"Balto please!" Jenna said. "Balto, we can talk to Kodi and we can...." But she stopped. In the distance all three of them heard the barking of dogs coming closer and closer.
"You must go now!" Star gasped. "Balto, i will stay here with Jenna. We will talk to Kodi and the dogs and find out what is going on and who the dog was that attacked me! I have a feeling he has something to do with this also! I will send for you when it is safe to return!"
"Balto, please be careful out there!" Jenna rubbed her fur next to Balto's and they stood there, silently saying their goodbyes.
"Don't worry Jenna." Balto whispered. "I have been out there before. I know what it's like and besides," he pulled away from her and looked toward the sky. "it's in my blood."
The barking dogs sounded closer than ever.
"Good bye Star. Thank you. I will never forget what you did for me today." Balto said. Star's eyes filled with sadness as he and Jenna watched Balto turn and sprint away.
THAT NIGHT
Balto sat down by the large tree he had choosen as a shelter for the night. His stomach protested it's lack of food, but Balto grited his teeth and ignored it. He had not eaten all day. Instead he had been running and was now very far from his home. He looked up at the stars and wondered what Jenna and Star were doing right now. He hoped they were safe.
"Why did Kodi betray me? Have i not been a good father to him?" Balto thought to himself. "I seem to be losing all my children lately." Closing his eyes, Balto fell into a sad sleep.

Kodi's face swam in and out of his dreams as Balto ran. He suddenly saw a bright light in front of him with Jenna's voice coming from it. He called out to her but no answer. Running, he went right thought the bright light and found that he was back in Nome and Steele was staring down at a small shape. It was Star. Star was trembling, but managed to keep Steele's gaze.
"Where did the wolf dog go? I know you went to warn him!" Steele shouted! Star said nothing. Steele gritted his teeth and snapped "get out of my site before i give you some real wounds to think about!" With that, Star jumed up and ran back to the abandoned boat where he now slept with Jenna, Boris, Muk and Luk who had been told what had happened. Suddenly Balto heard dogs barking and his eyes snapped open.

With a jolt, Balto reliazed that it wansn't a dream. He really DID hear dogs barking!
"It's not possible!" He gasped. "I have been running all day! How could they have found me this far away!" Balto turned to run, but suddenly halted, ears flat and eyes wide with fear.
As he stopped, he reliazed the barks behind him were not dogs barking. It was a deeper sound, the sound of the wild.
That's what he thought as he stared up at the top of a rock where a large wolf stood looking down on him, it's eyes glowing in the darkness and it's teeth glinting in the light of the moon.
Note for readers: i am trying to make this into no more than a seven part series. If it ends up being longer, than i'm sorry, but i'm trying to get it done so it doesn't bore people near the end.
