Balto the Puppy
Balto was talking to Aleu about her wolf heritage. Aleu had apparently run away for awhile to have time alone from just figuring that she is part wolf. After she had left, Balto had a flashback when he was just a young pup. When he said, “Accidentally separated” Balto actually meant it. So the flashback came back………………………………..

*eight weeks later*
The little, brown wolf- pup was walking in the allies searching for food. He had no where to go since many shop owners had kicked him out for sneaking in. The puppy was confused at what was going on at first, but then he realized it. Since he was part wolf, many people are scared and dislike those animals, all except for one. A little seven year old girl named Rosie never judged the little pup. One day she walked up to him, saying, “I know what to name you! Balto is perfect!” she had gotten the name Balto from her favorite explorer Samuel Balto. The scruffy pup wagged its tail in a pleasingly way. Wow! I never had a name before! Thought the little pup in his mind. Then, Rosie’s dad picked her up and said in a worry, “Get away from him sweetie. He’s part wolf, so he might attack you.” A person had over heard the conversation, and then replied, “I heard he had attacked a person before! I heard this from my friends!” crowds of people started to agree, so they all kicked snow at him. Balto tripped, and they all started to laugh hysterically. “Why does everyone hate me?” mumbled Balto as he saw himself in a reflection of a puddle. He was in the allies again, and hardly anyone came there but him. As he saw his reflection, he stared at himself in a confused way. He cocked his head side to side wondering, why am I part wolf? He felt very gloomy in his thoughts. He walked over the puddle, and a splash was made. Then, he heard a noise around somewhere in the allie. Then, a black and white figure dashed past him. It was a pure, blue eyed malamute. It was sturdy, and muscular for its size. Balto shouted, “Hey! Who are you?” The malamute turned around and replied, “My name is Steele, and I am playing hide and seek with my friend Kaltag, Nikki, and Star. Have you seen them?” Balto shook his head in a way of saying no. “Oh well. So who are you?” Balto said proudly from his given name, “My name is Balto! And I’m part wolf!” Steele studied him from looking up and down. “So you’re that wolf-pup I had heard about. Just one thing…..” paused Steele. “Are you going to kill me?” “No…….” Balto said as he cocked his head. “Then GREAT! You could join me and my friends today at the town square! We are going to have a race to see who the fastest dog is.” Balto grinned. He had never been invited to anything before, nor ever had friends. “Okay! What time?” he said as he jumped up and down. “Um, right now it is starting, so let’s go!” So the two ran to the town square. When they arrived, all raced around the little town. Steele was in the lead, but then Balto catch up with him. Then, Balto was going past him, and he ran over the finish line that they made up. “Yay! I won! Steele, you were really good too.” Steele looked like he was going to explode with anger. “I should have won! Not you, you wolf pup!” He said in anger. Balto looked disappointed. His ears flopped down, and he walked away from his first friend that doesn’t like him anymore. “You just wanted to beat me, because I’m part wolf!” shouted the little puppy of Balto. Steele looked at him with craziness in his eyes. “Your right! But next time I will beat you, and I will become that famous sled dog of
